Review 88 Noodle Bar - Burswood

Jim Holmes
We were looking for a restaurant at the Crown that would allow for a leisurely meal on a Sunday before a 1:00pm performance at the Crown Theater. 88 Noodle Bar opens at 11:30am on Sunday and we needed to arrive at the theater no later than 12:45pm. We were near the front of the que to ensure early service. The menu was clearly displayed at each seat at the table. Prices were very reasonable. Our order was taken promptly but then we began to wait. Others around us who arrived after us were served first and finished before we were served. We asked about the status of our meal and were told that the meals we ordered taken longer to prepare (chicken teriaki and pork belly with rice). Our meal was eventually served and the food quality was excellent. However, the chicken was cut into pieces too large to eat in a single bite and the only cutlery provided was a fork and a soon. We could not get any server's attention to request a knife so we had to make do. We did arrive to our performance on time but felt a little hurried.

This place is amazing. The food is served quickly, it's tasty and the staff are super professionals.😊 I ordered the Prawn Singapore noodle and my friend ordered the Kway teow. Both dishes were delicious. Big serves so come here hungry. 🤤 The menu is just the right size. A few soups, some rice dishes and lots of noodle dishes. Native goreng, pad thai, laksa to name a few.🍜🥣 This will be my go to restaurant whenever I visit the Crown. 👑

No service what so ever! First time i went there I ordered as I sat down and there wasn't much of a wait but the place was almost empty. Second time I returned I was taken to my table bit wanted to look at the menu, after making my choice I tried to get the attention of the staff bit nobody looked at me. I watched people get sat down and served but no myself. I decided to walk out and go next door then the lady that sat me down looked my way but it was too late. Disappointing! I was told this place was good.

If you want delicious food without breaking the bank, then you have found the perfect place. Located inside the Crown Casino, this restaurant has great atmosphere and excellent service! Our favourites include the fried rice, chicken teriyaki and pad Thai, all made to order and humungous portion sizes. If you are a crown member you can also get a discount.
Julie Chiang
My favourite dish here. Authentic flavour and serving was just right for me 👍

Service is quick and super friendly. All the food is absolutely delicious and fresh. Food comes out looking exactly like the photos. Liked it so much we came back twice in one day!

After continuously requesting for water, I finally received a glass after 15 minutes. Later on I ordered a cocktail, I had one sip of it and it was warm, pulpy and overall not worth $20. I tried to complain but was shut down and told that they couldn’t fix it and I still had to pay. Along with this, the employees were rude, rolled their eyes and once we finished our meal practically stared us down until we payed. Once I started getting up, the lady was already tidying up around me and I had to rush out and I ended up physically hurting my arm. Honestly worst experience. IF I COULD GIVE IT 0 Stars I would.

Best Honey soy chicken I have got in a long time, really good service, attended to my friends needs with a broken foot and being vegetarian. Food comes out really quick and it’s fresh! Will be back!
Rob
Do not order a cup of tea from this place, you will get 1.2 cup of hot water and a tea bag and be charged $4. Outrageous rip off !

Well priced food, tasted amazing, definitely would recommend and return

Have been before and loved the place but not so this time. Long wait, my meal came out 10 minutes before my wife meal. Mine was very disappointing... their more expensive crispy pork belly - small serve of meat ( might have been crispy once but not when it was served) on a pile of something close to 2 minute noodles. Did I say disappointing, I also had to return a lemon lime and butters to get some bitters put in the flat lemonade. Nothing was good about our experience tonight.

Pretty good food at pretty good prices to be honest. My main problem when i come here is "what should I order" they have an awesome menu full of delicious asian dishes. I wish that perth had more places like this, it almost reminds me of singapore.
Foodie In Paradise
This restaurant located inside the casino. Been here a couple of time, had the fried kway teow and the new goreng. Food taste quite average. It is a bit on the pricey side for a casual Asian meal but kind of expected due to their location. The noodles dishes cost around $20 each.
Inexology
We started our food adventure at 88 Noodle Bar where all of the dishes cost less than $20. 88 Noodle Bar sits in the heart of the casino, and they do delicious Asian cuisine! We had beef rendang, the famous mee goreng, sweet & sour pork, as well as some chicken wings on the side. The portion at 88 Noodle Bar was generous as well. We definitely left with a full tummy.
Snazzy
Absolutely amazing the whole dining experience from start to finish I had the number 33 dish it was amazing the chicken was so tender and the whole dish was so tasty!! Would highly recommend this place for a nice dinner!!
Loving Life
this used to be my favourite restaurant. the menu was changed some time ago and they now dont do pho. Last visit here the food was pretty ordinary. spicy food was not really spicy at all. Condiments on the table needed topping up and cleaning. Staff not as friendly as they used to.

Delicious food! Dined on a Tuesday night, so wasn't too busy, we were seated and served quickly. Good service and delicious food. Teriyaki chicken was delicious.

Came here for supper as it is the only place that's open at around 11.30 pm around. They only had supper menu at this time of the night and we had to wait a while to be seated. Had 3 dishes to share and the portion is a little small compared to other outlets in crown casino. We had the honey pork ribs which is very sweet for me unfortunately otherwise it'll be good cause they're boneless. The garlic spinach is a little over cooked. The prawn fried rice is nicely done. Overall it is an okay restaurant if you haven't got much choice.

The meals here used to be great but they are going down hill and keep getting smaller and smaller.
The meat cuts they use are terrible and very tough!!
Left feeling hungry!!
My wife and I were not aware we had special powers until we went here last night. We waited in line for about 20 mins and finally got seated.
This is when our powers kicked in. They had numerours staff walk past us and somehow managed to not see us. This went on for about 20mins so we thought whilst these powers were available that we would walk out and look for somewhere to eat.
We stumbled across the Merrywell and what happened next was unbelievable. The Merrywell staff could see us both.
Hello food lovers,

The best fish Laksa tasted EVER!!! Droll! Literally!
We ordered a chicken pad Thai as well, however, it was alright. You cannot miss the Laksa! Flavours are so so fresh and just too authentic! The place is nestled in the middle of the casino creating a great ambiance to dine in. They also have specials for Crown members, so please don't forget to sign in as a Crown member to enjoy more perks (:
Service 4/5
Food 4/5
88 Noodle Bar is in a great central location of the Casino. We came here on a Busy Friday night, so understandably service took a little longer. We did find ourselves waving at the waiter alot! The food menu is pretty good but a little more basic than I was expecting. Flavours were good but I've definitely had better phad Thai elsewhere. The crab was awesome. I liked the range of condiments provided on the table. The ambiance was great; lovely decor and vibes - but you shouldn't expect anything less at the Crown!

My husband and I gambled on this restaurant for my 24th birthday. We had the Pad Thai and the Mee Goreng noodles. The Pad Thai honestly just tasted like noodles in tomato soup (still yum, though), buuuut the Mee Goreng was divine! Excellent portion sizes! We also tried the fried ice cream, which was surprisingly delicious - again, great portion, 3 large scoops. This cuisine was fairly unknown for us, so we had no idea what to expect. We're glad we went. Great experience. I'd go again just for the fried ice cream!

Nothing like a bowl of noodles to satisfy the hunger pangs after a drinking session with modest bar snacks

This is my go-to place at the Casino when I haven't made dinner reservations elsewhere. It's better than junction grill in my opinion for casual dining.

The dishes range in price from $15-20 and you can't really complain given it's one of the cheaper options at the casino and the wait time for a table is less than 15 minutes. Surprisingly, the dishes taste like how they should. It's not fancy but it's cheap lol.
Casey
Visited at lunch time with my friend. She ordered the laksa and said the broth was delicious. I had the black pepper beef with rice. It was tasty and had good flavour. Prices are a little higher compared to purchasing these meals in Northbridge, but you cannot buy the atmosphere at the casino.
El
It's a bit pricey for this type of food but the food quality was pretty good. The Yang Zhou rice was soft and the grains were not clumped together. The Pad Thai had a different flavour than I'm used to - the colour of the sauce was much more orange/red than usual - but it still tasted good.
The Vietnamese Seafood salad had quite a chilli kick to it and wasn't very big.
But the restaurant serves the purpose of a quick bite before seeing a show at the Theatre.
Take note that by 6.30pm there's a queue to get a table.

The staff hated me here and I don't know why... Maybe it's coz i ordered food and mostly because I love the wang...............................................................
Princess Zelda
There are quite a few dishes to pick from and its the type of food I imagine foreigners would laugh at when they taste the stock standard versions of their food.To be quite honest you have to pick the right dishes not everthing tastes as great as what the pictures look.Tom Yum was very dissapointing not enough flavours and certainly didnt enjoy the canned mushrooms. Anyhow lets at least enjoy the 30% off with crown club.
Evonne
Really overpriced, but I guess it's got a prime location for many people in the casino. The fried rice is flavourful with a good mix of veggies. The portions are decent. I guess if you share it between two people, it makes the price more reasonable.
Jack
It was average, maybe slightly more than average. It's impressive how quick the service is here with the amount of people but the quality of the food does lack a little. Like boring perhaps? Friendly staff though
Classabove
Never really expect much from cheap eat places - very surprised.beef curry was brilliant..exactly how i expect it. meaty, juicy, tender with plenty of sauce, abit of corriander and chilli. hit the spot. faultless for approx $18.
Natalie Helen Baker
Great food great service. Really tasty food in the middle of the casino. Quick service and good size servings. Highly recommend, open late.
Cat
The noodles here were delicious, they are always busy which is good cause you know the food is fresh, it may be overpriced but that because of the location. The portions are generous and the service is good so what more can you ask for at a casino.
Maryam Kelissa
Every time I go to 88 noodle bar I'm always so happy with the choices I make! It's amazing food! Every Time I'm in the casino I will always eat here xx
Pravy
Little overpriced but you expect that from the casino. Ok service, food was nice more affordable than the restaurants outside the casino. Good for a quick bite.
Izzy Alyce
Came here at 2am because it was open and had the pho which they give you hoisin sauce with, a bizarre combination. The food wasn't nice and that definitely wasn't pho. Wouldn't come back. #goodfoodofperth

This place is good for a quick little feed. Totally overpriced so I will only eat here when there's lunch specials going on. Nice atmosphere amongst the casino.

88 noodle bar located inside the casino

The review on this place a bit too harsh, sure it is expensive but the food is quite nice.

Very nice food, food comes out quick, decent portion sizes, not nice price a bit too expensive, a bit crowded.

Food: 4 Ambience: 2 Value:2 Service: 2.5 Xfactor: 3

Food:

Lemon chicken Vermicelli beef noodles

Seafood Laksa Combination fried rice Side vegetables/ oyster sauce broccoli

one plate $18-20 Side dish $9

Ambience:

Average, nothing special, better than a dodgy chinese joint, cleaner but more expensive.

Service:

The staff are always busy, a bit slow to take orders b
ut the food comes out very fast so this makes up for it in a sense. The staff are ok not friendly but not standoffish

Value:

To expensive in my opinion, $8.80 for side dish $18-$20 for a main. The serving sizes were good for the noodles, laksa and fried rice. The lemon chicken was a bit smaller and the side dish was too small.

X-factor:

It depends on what you order. The dishes are very nice. Lemon chicken had a lovely lemon fragrance and flavour. Combination fried rice had generous amount of prawns, not greasy like a lot of places. The laksa is very flavoursome with fish balls, tofu and noodles, a very nice dish. The vermicelli nodles are also nice. The side of broccoli was not that good. The noodles were fresh an beef was good.

Tasty, but like everything else at Crown, overpriced and with patchy service. The beef curry had just the right level of spice and was a really large serve. Likewise the pad thai was huge - enough to share for two not-so-hungry ppl. We couldn't finish our two dishes and could have easily fed a third person.

Been here 2x now – both before a show in Crown – and because we were looking for quick decent Chinese meal and safe to say that 88 is the only one (you can’t really compare 88 with Silk can’t you). We tried Pad Thai, Mee Goreng, and Laksa – which are all good – but not good enough for the price we pay. I guess it’s true that you are paying for the luxury and the fact that it’s Crown.
Among the three, Pad Thai is the best as the taste is quite rich and Thai-authentic-ish, they are also quite generous in the amount of prawns given – nonetheless, you probably can get equally delicious Pad Thai in other Thai restaurant for about 60-70% of the price you are paying in 88. The laksa is good too – again, emphasis on the richness of the flavour and the soup/laksa.

I guess in terms of tastiness, overall, it is delicious and they do live up to the Crown’s luxurious image and stature – nonetheless the price is a big hindrance so I won’t come back to Crown just to eat at 88, as there are many other cheaper alternatives.

The service on the other hand was a big big disappointment for me, one: the waiting time from order to meal arriving is quite long, so you may not want to give short time especially if you have a Show to watch after. Two: the staffs are not too friendly and attentive – I literally had to stand up and walk to the staff everytime I want to ask for a water / extra bowl / sauce – yes, I am not exaggerating here: Everytime. They somehow can’t see or ignore my hands waving in the air or they just can’t be bothered and prefer to chit chat among themselves – as often I found them doing. Moreover, I had to ask twice for a glass of water – I asked one time and after waiting about 5 minutes the water did not arrive, and I had to ask again – she apologized she forgot – before then bringing the water to me. Being in Crown and putting a price reflecting the deluxe style, they should probably improve the service given to the customers.

In all fairness, I would probably rate the food 3.5 stars and the price/worthiness about 3 stars, but the service is just appalling.
Ruoxue.zhao
The worst restaurant in Australia, we order the eggplant with minced pork, it is really small size even not big than entry size. Bad bad bad. Don't choose here for your dinner or lunch.
JClaire92
Not the most flavoursome but still okay. not a great selection of food, and the staff were a bit "stand offish" but the food came out quickly. Located in a great section of the crown though.

We went to see Wicked (which was brilliant!) at the Crown casino and decided on having dinner after the show rather than before.

After wandering around and checking out their $13.95 dinner specials (available up until the 30 June) we decided on 88 Noodle Bar. After perusing the $13.95 menu and the full menu, we decided on the latter.

The Food

#29 Pad Thai – Traditional flat noodles, chicken and prawns in tamarind sauce $19.80

This was nice, but the three prawns in the dish were much smaller than the picture shown on the menu.

#38 Tom Yum Noodle – Wok fried vermicelli with tom yum paste, prawns and fish cake $19.80

Same as above.

88 has been on my wish list since it opened. I am glad that I have been, but I don't think I will return as the prices are on the high side for what is served.

The Service

The service is fast and friendly and it's not a problem trying to get their attention.
Emz
Had laksa and it was tasty. Portion is a little small I reckon. Pho was good as well. Angus sliced beef accompany this Vietnamese dish. Overall was good ambiance. Steep overall pricing relatively compared to same range in other restaurants but I guess that is the price for restaurants on casino grounds.
Leah
A slight wait to get a table for a Friday. After you order your food it's near impossible to get there attention to order a drink or dessert. Food was pretty good.
Nikki Alyse
Tasty food. Have eaten here multiple times and has always been good. Great for a cheaper meal at the casino
Kristin Chan
Bland and tasteless. I was expecting because it is in the casino the standard of food would be edible. However, no. Food was so bland that we used every sauce on the table and still it didn't make it better. Wouldn't reccomend.
Janeanne67
Worst I have ever had. I would never eat here again, no flavour at all and chicken in the noodle soup was just fat and boiled chicken skin floating in a watery mix with undercooked noodles. I honestly have never tasted anything so bland. You would be better off visiting a food hall or pay extra and eat at one of the other restaurants in the casino, no point providing a cheap meal if it is disgusting.
Silvia L Tan
BAD SERVICE. Their food is just so so but the worst is when we want to settle our bill. The lady is very rude ,This should be the crucial part as it give the last impression. I believe she is the supervisor as she didnt wear the same uniform like others. Chinese restaurant in northbridge even give better service than her .
Corey Dullard
If your in the Burswood looking for a good Thai curry, this place it worth the hike into the Casino! And if your a seafood fan, (like myself) the crumbed whiting is the best fish I've ever eaten out! Absolutely outstanding! 9.5/10!
Acollie
Bad service. First time here (first time to Crown actually) and had heard this place had some great noodle dishes. Seems a bit overpriced and received really bad service. Took ages for anyone to notice us to take our order and they weren't even busy. Don't think I'll be coming back here (and neither will I return to Crown, only went because of a show at the theatre).
Mick Peters
Slow service. Had better food from a food hall. Won't return

Bf and i had dinner here last friday night. i had the seafood laksa, bf had the tom yum. we shared the spicy chicken wings and crab claws for entrees, mango sago pudding for dessert. very disappointed. hate to say this but even hans cafe cannington serves better laksas, even the chinese place at mirrabooka square food court. lacked colour, flavour, no extras to custom our meal. wings were nice but too miniscule. mango sago pudding -was like was ready-made. could at least flavour the coconut milk. not serve it like it was poured out of the can. only things that was edible were the crab claws. unless you've had a lot to drink meaning your senses a screwed, i wouldn't recommend anyone eating here. crown! step up your game!
Drjohngambrill
Rockindoc. Eat and run is an apt description. After a couple of bites you feel like running out of the place. The so called moneybags - no minced combos in these - totally tasteless, and the non-tempura batter tempura prawns were uninspiring starters. The pepper beef was too salty to continue with, despite the added plain rice. It's cheap, fast service - even so still not value for money!!!

Not Again. Our first visit some 12 months ago was a disaster, so 12 months on, 27th March 2014 we went again, with our Brother and sister in Law.
If anything it was worse than what we had the previous year.
The food quality was just not there. Last months food warmed up, I wish it had been that good.
Thankfully the Burswood does have other good restaurants, but this one does not belong there. Time the Management of the complex checked this one out.
Jenny Bean
Went there a couple of weeks ago, I agree with the other comment about worst pad thai ever. I had an almost identical experience. Had a few mouthfuls and just thought, this is horrible. Left it and they didn't even question that I had left nearly all of it. The 3 ppl I was with enjoyed their meals tho (Laksa/Beef curry), so obviously it's not all bad.
Melbfoot
The worst Pad Thai I had ever eaten, it was swimming in a sour sauce ! I had two mouth full and I left it , the staff even didn't say anything .. they just look at me and I can't be bother to complain.. probably other dish in the menu are good refer other review but I choose wrong dish . Ruined my night . i will give other chance to go there again.. Hope getting better.
Carole Anderton
Never Again. I first had a meal at 88 Noodle Bar January 2013 and it was awesome, and made sure I told people how good it was, but never again. We went on Saturday evening (25/01/14) and it was the worst Kway Teow noodles i have had ever had. The local shopping centre food court serves better and at half the price!!! Crown Perth is a sad poor relative to it's Melbourne counterpart!
Yenyen.foodielife
Totally Disappointed. Food looks delicious but nothing special. The dim sum is a rip off. I can normally stand spicy but the Laksa was so spicy cant even taste anything else. The beef brisket was tender but the soup was so overpowered with strange mushroomy taste almost like medicine. Maybe i was just unlucky with the choice and should try other dish. Maybe the dry noodle better than the soup. But will think twice bout coming back.
As I See It
Great Kway Teow and good Pad Thai. Nice n quick with generous portions for a reasonable price.
JB
Fabulous!. Went to 88 for dinner last night before hitting the fruit wheel and were seated as soon as we walked in, drinks ordered as we sat down, meals ordered a few minutes later and within 5 minutes of sitting down we had yummy Mi Goreng in front of us. It was $19.50 for each meal but it was massive - could definitely share! Service very friendly and greeted with "Sir and Miss" - seen a few bad reviews regarding service and waiting times - maybe the restructure into Crown has meant a change. Would go there any time for great food and a cheeky gamble.
Vanilla
Getting better. Was at the casino late last night and was looking at dining options. Didn't want to go to the Noodle Bar because of a bad experience there a few months ago, however there aren't many food options at such a late hour. Food and service seemed to had improved a little. More smiles this time round makes it more welcoming and the food seemed to taste better this time. If this positive change stays, I might just visit more often than not.
Naomi
Bad service , the food is not authentic , the only good thing is that it is conveniently inside the casino
Peregrine Chuff
Damn the service is fast! And the food actually tastes pretty good and relatively authentic. Perfect for an energy refuel in the middle of a gambling frenzy.
Rebecca O
I have to say the service here is possibly the worst I have ever seen. We were seated and had to wait 30 mins for our drinks order to be taken. The couple that say down beside us 15 mins after we arrived were eating their meals before we had even received our (incorrect) drinks.

When we did receive the food it was edible but lacked flavou, absolutely nothing special! Would not return
Eureka
Good!. We've been to this place quite a few times on nights out to the casino. the portion sizes are enough; we always leave incredibly full. Mee goreng has a great flavour, as does the pad thai. the only thing that really puts this restaurant down is the service. you are greeted by a waiter/waitress that rudely asks how many people and then storms off to a vacant table expecting you to follow. none of them are ever smiling, making it very hard to approach them for anything. also the restaurant seems to have had as many tables and chairs shoved in as possible so its quite cramped. those things you can overlook though for the food.
KP
Less than average. My partner and I have just finished our pre-show meal and to be frank, it was rubbish: refuced menu options and poor food, wine & service.
Phad Thai and Char Kway Teow...we were expecting fresh and tasty, but received 2 bowls of oily noodles. 4 prawns, 4 pieces of chicken per dish...seems we're on rations...no fresh herbs or veggies, no egg, no peanuts, no chilli...
This was food-court quality food at restaurant prices and the staff did not give a monkeys. We won't be back.
Emma Dearing
Service at this place was terrible except for waitress called Emmy who was lovely. My family and i went for dinner on Monday night and found lots of basic things lacking. For example drinks were slammed down on to the table by a very grumpy waitress, had to ask for chopsticks and waited a long time after our mains to order dessert. In the end we had to stop and ask a waiter in order to be served. The tables next to us took a long time to be cleared- over an hour. The gulab jamuns are delicious.

No imagination food. Have eaten a few times at 88 Noodle Bar. Not sure what cuisine this place aims for. Thai food very very ordinary. Food the same every time. Had singapore noodles worst I have ever had. I looked around and other noodle dishes looked the same with brown sauce. I had 3 hard tasteless prawns in the whole noodle dish, not sure where the chicken pieces were? Won't be wasting money here. Need more creative sauces for the different cuisine on offer. Told duty person that food was not very nice. Dont think they like being told food is ordinary.
Arepasinqueso
Impressive!. I had been hearing a lot about this place from friends but was always reluctant to try it. I am not a fan of Hans so this just seemed to be another Asian noodle bar.

I was wrong! Great service, healthy portion sizes and the pricing was excellent. I will be back, it's Miller Time!
Michael Waldie
Quick and tasty. I have been to this place a few times now. Always busy but have always had good service. There is not a huge range but there are also a bunch of "meals to share" which add to the selections available.
Every dish I've tried so far has been awesome. I find the price to be fair reasonable too.
Good tip, forget about Junction Grill and go to 88 to dominate!
Elle Bee
Convenient - but with few Options. 88 Noodle Bar is so convenient, location wise and in terms of opening times, but there are unfortunately almost zero options on the menu if you're a vegetarian. We were in last week and all they have are a few vego starters, they also assured me they could substitute the meat for tofu in several dishes, but I discovered a chunk of chicken in my Red Thai Curry nontheless. All the meat easters at my table were more than happy however - so just a note to all fellow vegos out there.
Captain Munchie
Quick and Cheap. Had 30 mins to spare before starting poker on a Wednesday night at the Casino and needed a quick bite. With so much to choose from at the Casino now, I went for 88 Noodle Bar. The menu has quite alot to choose from, including cheap daily/weekly specials. I had a pot of Chinese Tea and the Singaporean Noodles. The food was infront of me in 15 mins and was quite tasty. It reminds me of Wagamama, so if you are not looking for a fine dining meal this is the place to eat at Crown. I would happily pay $20 again for this meal and others here. Until next time ... 7/10.
Elliot James
Went there for dinner twice now. Granted they were busy - but my food came out stone cold. I sent it back to the kitchen, while we ate my partners food - to stop that going cold too. 25 minutes later, we had still not had my food back, and left. We got a semi muttered apology under the maitre d's breath.
Now I remember why, after our first experience we said we wouldn't go back!
Shaun Ludgwick
Okay. Bit overpriced, some dishes are bland. Noodles are good. Overall its okay.

New tasty menu. Saturday June 30 Supper

Love the open hours
Love the large portions
Love the new menu items!
Love the cute decor
Love the attentive staff offering water and drinks service constantly
Loathe noise of the casino waffling in

Good for a quick lunch or dinner. I have been here several times, this last time for a quick dinner before a show. The menu had been reduced as it was a "pre show menu", but still enough to choose from. This past time the food was not as good, and it came out really fast....a bit too fast. Had to be pre-made?? Maybe they do this on show nights as it was starting to get very busy as we left.

Service Issues. Found myself spending some time with my mother this weekend and we ended up at Burswood, with limited choices available we settled on 88 Noodle Bar - having been here before we figured sure, last time was good. . . .well not so much anymore.

Yes they were busy but seriously when the people who were seated near you, ten minutes after you and served before you and every waiter who's attention you seek looks directly at you and scurries away - no thank you.

Service was shockingly bad. The food is good for a quick substantial bite to eat. Their dishes are a little expensive but I would say that has more to do with renting a space on the Casino Gaming floor then anything else.

Might try it one more time - you should try everywhere at least twice I say - with hopes they were just having an off day.
Paul
So So. I tried the mee goreng and it had a lot to be desired for, wasn't worth the over inflated price but then again its the casino. The decor and staff were friendly enough but shame it closes so early.
SAMSUZZA
Ate here tonIght. Food was disgusting we could not finish it. Just save ur money and go else where. Service is horrible. Please people don't make the same mistake as me

Depends on manager on duty.. Was there in saturday for the 12-95 broth/main/steamed rice and a soft drink. took 25 mins one lady ignored us as i called her she thought about turning around but didnt kept walking... i was with a friend i got my meal and 8 mins later had to ask for my friends.. i noticed my friends curry was sitting under warmer for the whole 8 minutes not good!! i had to ask for it and both our meals were cold... even though it was 12-95 i expect a hot meal.. i have dined here twice before not a problem with the female manager everything was perfect,, but i think this guy manager just didnt have a clue at all what he was doing!!!! burswood check your camers people were walking out left right and centre..ill only eat here when the cantonese lady is manager...

Dump the Dim Sum Horror: AVOID. Went to try the Sunday dim sum offered. To begin with about 15 or so menu choices, hardly a selection to begin with. Then about a quarter of the choices belong more at your local fish and chip shop rather than a dim sum joint..(curry puffs, salt and pepper squid, chicken dim sims...)

Staff lazy and nonchalant - waiting long time to get attention, didnt provide utensils, poorly washed bowl with food remnant still, inncorrect dishes brought out, then incorrect billing.

Food it self was bland, tasteless. They probably wouldn't even dish this stuff out to food camps in Africa. I've had frozen microwaved dim sum of better quality and taste then what we were served. See pic their pork shu mai

Stick to Northbridge or your local haunt, avoid this place like the plague when it comes to dim sum!

After being neglected at rockpool (decided to get a table after midnight), we thought we would try the 88. To be perfectly honest I want expecting alot from the noodle bar, but I was pleasantly surprised. The drinks and meals came out quickly, and each dish I tried was great. The rice was cooked well with a nice balance of firmness and moisture. My chicken based dish (23) had bags of flavour and left me satisfied. Overall an enjoyable experience, and I would return if in the area. Food 6.5/10 service 6.5/10 decor 7/10

Free noodles!!!. Last night I went to this wonderful place called the casino where a good friend of mine, James Packer, kindly gave me some free money! He then instructed me to spend this money on a plate of his delicious noodles. I got the char kway teow and it was fresh, flavorsome and a generous serve. Thank you Burswood and thank you Mr Packer

The service was quite slow.. We waited 15-20 minutes for our drinks.. Drinks! How long does it take to pour a glass of wine? Our mains arrived another 15 minutes later.. I found the food tasty but ridiculously over priced.. I feel that they can only get away with such prices because of their location.. Never again..

Ok so I have never written a review but made an acct just so I could warn everyone about this place. Walked in waited for a good 5 min to be seated (place wasn't busy) was finally seated looked over menu, waited another 15 minutes then finally had to call someone over to take our order. Ordered and waited over 20 minutes just to receive our drinks! And had to ask a server about our drinks first. Sat and had our drinks and waited at least another half an hr for our food! Oh and I asked for some veggies added to my noodle dish and she promised there would be then received my dish and there were no extra veggies. Then to top it all off we went to the counter to pay very dissapointed and there was no eftpos!!! Just horrible from start to finish, I will never go there again and im warning everyone to stay far away!

BAD - will never eat here again. We were staying overnight at the Burswood and got up too late to make it to the Atrium so thought we would try the dim sum at 88 Noodle bar.

What a horrible mistake.

Nothing was made fresh - not a single item. Everything came out of frozen bags and was deep fried to oblivian.

The pork buns were 99% bun and 1% pork, similarly the spring rolls were 99% pastry and 1% vegetable filling. All the fried food was so overcooked it was unrecognizable,

Some items were completely inedible.

We didnt even bother complaining. We will never return, not even to try their regular menu.

Service extremely slow, seems interested only in getting people seated and serving drinks while the cooked meals sit on one side with no one to serve it.

Tasty enough noodles, but service on the slow side and EXTREMELY overpriced! However, would consider returning if I was at the casino and looking for some food.

Nice to look at but that's it. Went there for my birthday a few weeks back, as I wanted to go try a nice Noodle joint that I haven't been to yet.

I knew not to expect a great range as this is notably a noodle BAR, not so much a noodle restaurant. We ordered appetizers, then mains and then dessert, however our table was never cleared of dishes at any point, so all the dishes were left to pile up on the table, even when we ordered the mains and dessert. Maybe it's because it was a 'bar' however 88 is set out like a small restaurant.

My brother ordered the egg noodle soup with BBQ pork and said it wasn't very appetizing, and my boyfriend described his Vietnamese vermicelli noodle soup with braised beef and coriander as being 'bland'.

Kudos for the cool decor but that's about all I can say.

Great noodle. The decor looks very nice but simple , the chinese lucky pockets on the ceiling and the lucky tree is in the middle of the restaurant.

The service is quite efficient . Our waiter seems to be very kind and polite. We ordered Mee Goreng, Pad thai , Chicken and cashew nuts . All very yummy and come out very quickly .

What a great place on the gaming floor , i mean who hate noodle anyway ?
Will be back soon :)

Rush Rush Rush. Noodle bar where only 25% of the dishes are noodles? .... service was promt but once order was taken we became invisable .. no more service or satisfaction check . Food was served very quickly but a dissapointment for such a hyped new venture at Burswood to serve frozen entrees with litlte seasoning or taste .... mains were not much better ...... seems to be a focus on speed over quality which sours the experience .

As we had a fussy eater with us we decided the 88 Noodle Bar would be perfect as we could all select dishes we enjoyed and at a reasonable cost. Boy did we end up regretting that decision. Service: Whilst there was no cue outside we were made to wait more than 10 minutes to be seated. It then took another 20 or so minutes to flag down a waiter -which was lucky as we were about to get up and leave- only to wait more than 30 minutes to get our food. During this 30 minutes I watched our food – along with another dozen or so dishes- sit under the heat lamp for a substantial portion of this time. It was very clear during our time at 88 Noodle Bar that the place was extremely understaffed. The couple waiters that were there were trying to seat people, take

...my friend and I went to have supper at the newly opened 88 Noodle Bar at Burswood Casino. It's a smart move to open a Chinese restaurant in the casino! Who hates noodles? Good to share and probably it's a healthier option? :)
