This place won't disappoint, from friendly service, perfect coffees and the best inventive food.
Head down, you won't regret it.
Good coffee, easy going staff, good environment for a place wedged beside a car dealership.
The person who served me made me coffee and a jaffle even though they were closing, and gave me an extras without charging me. Seems good.
Such friendly staff and happy vibes :) Good menu and range of gf options! Every experience here has been great.
Had an amazing meal ,the medical theme is ingenious.clearly doesn't do anything in half measures(pun intended).cant believe they are so close to everything in Burwood will definitely visit again
Such awesome, chilled out vibes. Had the best smashed pumpkin EVER while getting some sun in my fav spot by the window :) and love the specialty coffee! The filter was made fresh before my eyes, and it was super delicious <3
Just what this area needed! Finally somewhere to get awesome coffee and food. The smashed pumpkin is amazing!
zomg coffee and delicious toasted deliciousness. 5/5 would drink again.
Same friendly faces from the Ashwood cafe. Funky new venue... with bagels!
Just ordered a round of coffee's for work... Everyone is loving it.
Thanks guys
This place is amazing, can't wait to go back with friends
Great coffee! will have to come back for food next time
Sensational! Fabulous stuff Reiji and Sam. Full of little surprises.
Lovely cozy little cafe, friendly staff, delicious food. Loved the pike bowl, colourful and nutritious combination.
A cute little cafe in a medical centre, Dosage riffs on the medical theme with lots of cute scientific and medical paraphernalia. Drinks are served in beakers and presented beautifully. There is a small area inside the cafe itself, but there are ample tables in an outdoor area.
There is a small menu, and I would recommend trying the toasties, as there are some interesting and tasty combinations in both sweet and savoury options. Coffee is excellent and service is fabulous. Dosage is a little out of the way, but it's worth a visit for it's fun and quirky atmosphere, more than decent food and fantastic drink offerings.
Hidden away in a quiet corner is this cute and homely cafe boasting a menu that showcased a variety of exciting items: the classics, a jaffle menu and fresh wellness bowls. I’m not usually one to choose the healthy option but I ordered the wellness bowl featuring salmon sashimi with ponzu soy, edamame, red cabbage, seaweed and avocado on a bed of kale and quinoa; it was divine. Delicious fresh ingredients, well balanced flavours and a hearty serving- I think I’ve found a new favourite local.
Great coffee and variety of teas. I had peppermint tea. The place is constantly varying their menu so it keeps it interesting. Food can take a while to be served. Service is exceptional and friendly.
Dosage is my equivalent of a great city laneway coffee house in the Southeastern suburbs.
Delicious wellness bowls are right up my alley. Plus there’s other awesome stuff on the menu 😊
Very good almond milk latte, my drink of choice 👌
The main barista is very kind and genuine and makes a really amazing coffee! The dog friendly courtyard is great too, we always enjoy going here.
I adore that Dosage is trying something different with their medical themed food and for the most part they do a great job.
What prevents this place from being exceptional is lack of infrastructure & kids appropriate options.
On a miserable Melbourne morning with a pram and Miss 5, the only seating option for the 4 of us (as it is too small inside for pram) was to sit in the outside in the semi sheltered area. Whilst the staff did what they could to warm it up, we were still exposed to the wind and the rain. And it was arctic - I found myself hurrying to finish so that I could just get out of there and get warm in the car.
A quick note about the food options not lending themselves to families, we opted for scrambled eggs for the kids, normally a safe option, in this case however it was served with seeds & spices (check the photo) - Choking and tantrum hazards abound.
Great little cafe on Burwood highway, with fun science themed water jugs and syrup filled syringes. We had the Japanese sustenance bowl, the smashed avo (ofcourse) and tried the bubble cendol dessert. Both agreed that the dessert hit the money, it was a cold day which made the dessert even more desirable. The pandas panna cotta was silky and had good flavour, paired with the toasted coconut flakes, tapioca pearls topped off with a drizzle of palm sugar from the syringe. Definitely would go back for the dessert ! The meal was affordable and the service was good.
Went on sat morning at 11am, seated inside straight away. Outdoor seating was nice too but too cold for the day. The decoration was cute and special like medical science themed. The soy latte was good. We ordered japanese sustence with smoked salmon and the old benny. The brunch dishes came out to be amazing! Japanese sustence had balanced proportion of salmon, avo, veggie, egg, brown rice, turned out to be extremely healthty and tasty brunch. The egg benedict was good too, hash with tomato relish were fantastic! Fortunate to have such a gem place locally in burwood, will defintely go back again!
The staff was very friendly and fast service. The cafe is next clinic? little bit hard to find.
I had poke bowl it was very nice and I love the flavour and color.
Quite a little cafe tucked inside a medical facility. There is parking underneath, however it is only an hour or you can pay $5. My friend and I parked in the side street where there was 2 hour parking.
You can either sit inside and outside however there is more outside (especially for larger groups).
My friend got a wellness bowl with yakitori chicken and I got the special they had going which was okonomiyaki with bacon.
My friend really liked the wellness bowl. It had a lot of fresh ingredients & made her full. Which never happens!
I liked the okonomiyaki it had great flavour and the sauce was delicious. But I feel some of it was a bit plain. Seemed like they missed parts of the ingredients or sauce in a particular section of the okonomiyaki which left it a bit bland in some areas.
Service was really friendly & efficient. Food came out extremely fast.
The spicy chicken waffle at Dosage is so darn good! I’m absolutely hooked on it. Every time I come to Dosage I get this without fail; and each time I’m left completely satisfied :)
Tucked away on Burwood rd this cafe is definitely one to try. I decided to order the smashed pumkin and the panna cotta. The smashed pumpkin was warm and delicious with poached eggs and feta. The panna cotta was nothing like the typical panna cotta, yet I still loved it. Named bubble cendol, this unique flavor combination will have you wanting more. The only downside of this cafe is that it's a little hidden gem so you have to know about it beforehand.
A science and chemistry themed cafe - what a concept! There’s nothing like it in Melbourne and it’s definitely a must visit! The stand out dish was the pandan panacotta being so creamy and velvety!

Greeted by the most friendly staff.. and a relaxed interior. It’s a little ‘hidden gem’ in Burwood. The menu was great, very diverse in options.
We tried the Korean chicken waffles , the fried chicken burger and the iced chocolate. The chicken in both dishes was cooked well and the meat was juicy. The burger was full of flavour and texture. The waffle was nice but I wish it had a bit more salad to cut through the richness. The iced chocolate was delicious. Definitely recommend trying them out!
a very nice place with big service. The owner (lady)ia very patient and helpful to find what we like to have. Her recommendation was sooooo great. I love thw food and coffee there and will definately to again.

☑ 8.5/10! 👊🏽 hands down up there with some of my favourite cafe menu's! 📋 such a good selection twists on your norm 😉 HSP Jaffle was a winner for me with its flavoured and marinated kebab meat, chilli sauce, cheese and garlic sauce in a toastie! 🥪 Its genius! 😁 the Breakin Bad Bagel was another tasty surprise filled with a juice teriyaki chicken and chipotle mayo! 💦 portion sizes were great and the flavour was amazing! Just a tad pricey for some of the dishes that i cant justify paying for more than once 💰 ALL in all a great menu with tasty dishes! 🤗

💡 TIP - their coffees are amazing! ☕ its one of those cafes you have to visit atleast once for the experience itself 😊

HAPPY TUESDAY FAM! 😎
ENVIRONMENT: Destination brunching. Blink & you’ll miss it - not the type of place that catches your eye when driving by (because it’s tucked away in a tiny local strip mall on Burwood Hwy).
Dog friendly courtyard - Hooray for the puppers!
The clear PVC panels outside that allow light & block out wind/rain, also lock IN heat (humid days beware).
FOOD: Insta-worthy & tastebud friendly. The options were great. Our party of 8 all reported flavoursome dishes that were artfully presented & full of colour.
Drinks included. Foam/froth on the coffees all looked decent. Hot chocolate was particularly fun to pour.
ONE WORD: Consistent (ie the tastiness of dishes, the strength of coffees etc)
RESTROOMS: Shared restrooms in the precinct. Security code required to get you in. Whilst heavily hydrated, plus full of coffee - the walk to the facility deterred me. No details on restrooms at this time.
TAKEAWAY: The type of place to go back to, so you can try more items on the menu.
SERVICE: Friendly, earnest, genuine staff.
Only suggestion would be to have the dishes cleared after everyone had finished. Creates more space, especially if dessert is being served, or another round of coffees/drinks.
A hidden gem on Burwood highway . Amazing vibe. Music on point and the barista is so nice and knows how to do a good coffee. Food was nice. Will definitely return again.
You know you’re onto a winner when the first person who greets you is a very happy and friendly waiter whose enthusiasm is infectious. Service was prompt and the food - impressive.
Chips were amazing! Some of the best we’ve ever had and the menu is regularly updated.
This little neighbourhood gem is well hidden but well worth hunting out if you are in the area.
Camouflaged by SIA Medical Center and Audi Penfold Burwood, this quirky little café sure isn’t easy to spot at a glance.
I brought an overseas friend here to catch up over brunch as she was staying at an Airbnb in Burwood. The place was bustling when we arrived at around 12pm. Even the outdoor section was full despite the nasty weather today. However, it didn’t take long for our bubbly waiter to get us a table indoors.
I went for the Turkish Cilbir Eggs coupled with a cold drip, whilst my friend ordered a soy latte and HSP jaffle.
From the dukkah garlic yogurt to the Turkish sausage, every component on my plate was delicious and my friend equally enjoyed her jaffle with the medley of syringed sauces. Thumbs up to the perfectly poached eggs on both our dishes!
I found the coffee here decent. Service, on the other hand, was great! I love the energy and vibe of our waiter - a hardworking and smiley bloke who obviously loves what he’s doing.
We had a little chat with Lim, the pleasant café owner and was told that they will be coming out with an Asian Street Food menu next week over the next few months. Can’t wait to try!
It’s my second visit here and the quality of food has not yet ceased to please. Absolutely an underrated hidden gem in the neighbourhood. Great variety of food on the menu that has some unique flavour combinations. We really enjoyed the jaffles particularly. It’s very nice to have a decent cafe like this in Burwood East. Staff are friendly too. Would highly recommend!
Nice little cafe with good almond milk coffee. Breakfast serving size was a little small I thought, nevertheless it was tasty. Will go back again to try their GF bagels.
Staff were really nice, the place is a little small but they make it work, really cool place. I would come here again. I had the Benedict jaffle - could have done with more cheese in the jaffle but other than that it was a good feed, would like to try the Japanese sustenance bowl that looks really good.
Dosage is a cute and quirky café located on Burwood Highway, Burwood. Its point of difference from the regular cafe is their science and chemistry-inspired dishes and decor right down to the salt shakers that are labelled “sodium chloride”!! Along with the drinks that are served in conical flasks and beakers! What fun! It's an awesome idea for a café and they have executed it all so well. Dosage specialises in jaffles and bagels but by no means are they your usual boring bagels and jaffles. They also have a wide variety of drinks.
Today I came here for a late lunch with a friend during a university break. Walking in, we were greeted by a very friendly staff member who showed us to our reserved table. We sat outside in the courtyard area which was under a small marquee with heaters - very pleasant. It was cosy and clean and I thought the layout of the whole restaurant was very classy and inviting right down to the hexagon shaped tiles which of course relates to chemicals!!
We ordered the Japanese Sustenance Bowl, the Sticky Chicken Burger, the Love Affair jaffle, the Cold Drip coffee and the Nitrogen Charged Ice Tea with Mixed Berries.
The Japanese Sustenance Bowl was made up of fresh avocado, Japanese mayo slaw, spring onion, sweet tamago egg strips, pickled ginger, roasted seaweed, sesame seeds with sweet soy tare on a warm bed of brown rice topped with red shiso furkiake and we chose to have it with salmon but you could also choose either chicken or tofu.
The jaffle we chose had Japanese red beans, daifuku mochi, danish feta and lychees and came topped with macha ice cream. It was really unusual and the flavours were amazing. The jaffle was crispy and golden and possibly my favourite dish.
Finally the Sticky Chicken Burger came with perfectly cooked chicken in a teriyaki sauce. Also in the burger was wasabi mayo, beetroot relish, spanish onion, cucumber on a macha brioche bun. The flavours just danced on your tongue, so different, so unexpected - a party in your mouth! The addition of potato chips with the burger added the perfect crunchy element - very clever.
I enjoyed the drinks as well - especially the way that they were presented (see photos). The Cold Drip was very strong so if you like a good strong coffee - this is the drink for you!
Half the fun at this place, apart from the delicious food is reading the fun menu and all the puns and references to science and chemistry. Just hilarious!
I couldn't fault my experience today at Dosage. Everything exceeded my expectations and I most likely will be a regular here as there is so much more to taste and try. What a breath of fresh air Dosage is! Definitely check this place out even if you're not in the area!!
There is free 1 hour parking located underground of the Sia Medical Centre.
I found this café really hard to find, however it's one of my favourite cafes to go on my own. It's small, cosy and has one of my favourite café interiors designs. I love their menu and I especially look forward to seeing what new jaffles they have. One thing I do find annoying about this café is parking and that it's not the best to go to with children as it is quiet small.
Man I don't understand how people in Melbourne rate stuff. Melbourne has some of the best food and cafes in the world, but you wouldn't know it looking at the review numbers down the side. Nothing over a 3.5? Seriously people? And looking down the reviews here, I see people with nothing but praise, literally no complaints, but they give it a 3 star rating. Come on man, you don't have to save your 5s for special occasions. You have an infinite number of 5s. And no, a cafe isn't going to give you the same experience as a fancy restaurant that charges $200 a plate, but you rate taking cost into account ya spoilt brats!
Now for the food! The HSP jaffle tastes amazing! No it wasn't deconstructed and suspended in gold. It was under $20. It tasted delicious. It's a 5 star for the price point, and hella instagrammable for you kids out there who are into that. Pretty and delicious, what's less 5 star than that?
The ice chocolates are amazing too. I love the sauce syringes. I'm super fussy about sauce so it's nice to have the option to put my own on, the amount, and where it goes.
First time trying this cute cafe in Burwood. Super friendly service and cosy ambience in covered courtyard. Cold drip coffee was yummy and came in a funky test tube and beaker. Pumpkin smash and Turkish silbered eggs were delicious. Regular coffee was OK. Overall 4.5/5, keen to return and try the expanding menu.
A surprising find of such a funky little coffee shop. Tried something different - the cold drip. It was served in a test tube and a beaker - very fun!! Outdoor seating with heating.
I searched for the new cafe around burwood area. And i found this new cafe close to my house. I ordered the H.S.P & Benedict with chai latte on top of it! I give it 8 of 10 for the creativity of the presentation. But the portion was quite small eventhough they taste was amazing (close to the original hsp and benedict). Overall, i really enjoyed my visit here. #BHAsFoodDiary
Coffee was good and the cafe is really cute. I got the smashed avo which came with a chilli oil syringe (so melbourne 😂). The meal was nice but need a bit more flavour and the syringe didn’t really taste much like chilli to me (I didn’t want to put too much on and make my dish super oily!)
I think this cafe is going to be a new favourite of mine! Delicious food, generous serves, exteeeensive menu, reasonably priced, lovely staff, great outdoor (and indoor) seating and ambience, and already looking forward to my next visit!
The place is tiny but cute and the service was great.
They have a decent amount of vegan options - I chose the vegan Japanese sustenance bowl which was delicious and well sized and presented.
Kids had fried eggs on toast but the seeded bread and herbed eggs were too fancy for them.
Hubby had the hsp jaffle which he enjoyed.
Awesome funky little cafe close to Deakin Uni with a very cute ‘science experiment’ theme. This is expressed in beakers as glasses, various on theme decorations like the centrepiece on the communal table and sauce served in syringes. The interior is very small but there is a nice outdoor courtyard and parking is very easy with the medical clinic next door.
The food is a lovely and inventive mix of modern Japanese and Mediterranean elements - very similar to sister cafe Second Wife in Box Hill. I had the Turkish Cilbir Eggs ($17) which were refreshingly light and a very different take on Melbourne’s usual “poached eggs and bread” brunch dish with dukkah garlic yoghurt as the main component (so good!) Coffee is great too.
My partner had a ham and cheese jaffle ($7) which he enjoyed and you can even make it gluten free for a very reasonable $1. I believe there is also a weekday morning deal for a coffee + jaffle for $10 which is great value. All in all a wonderful cafe!
Best jaffles in Burwood ❤️ Friendly staff and they’re dog friendly too 🐶
Had the Basil Pesto chicken and Matcha latte, the matcha was strong and to my liking, would definitely recommend if you love 🍵
Fantastic almond and soy matcha lattes and coffees.
Service was always friendly and impeccable. Found some egg shells in the choc tart once and didn’t have to pay for it. Apparently all the cakes and tarts were out sourced.
Bagels and toasted sandwiches were just perfect for a quick lunch or afternoon snacks. Lots of vego choices.
Now, what made this place amazing for summer is the fact that somehow, and maybe it’s just the avocados, but the dishes were just soooooo refreshing. Helloooo not melting in the sun :p Plus, major win for us SE suburbs peeps, we don’t have to go all the way to the city(ish) to have good brunch!!
"Avocado"
This dish did all the basics well and the DIY chilli oil was such a cute touch. Although just hard to use, a more easily dispensed tool would have worked better. The toast was dry and small. The service was good, although would only recommend in nice weather when you can sit outside because t was small and cramped inside. Way too close to the table next to you.
Cosy cafe but tricky location to find
FOOD: 3.5/5
All the food we ordered was very tasty and presentation was cute and creative with shots of sauce from syringe. However, the food took a really long time to come out.
Coffee was fairly average, was a little watery.
SERVICE: 4/5
Staff were all super nice and friendly!! Everyone carried a lovely smile on their faces and they had great team work between the four staff they had.
DECOR: 3.5/5
Simple and relaxing. They could have used the outside area a little better as it was windy with no cover and heater outside.
We ordered:
- Japanese Sustenance
- Yakitori Bagel
- H.S.P jaffles
- cappacino
- soy cap
- latte with coconut milk
we sat outside on a warm day, as inside was quite busy; music was blasting away, almost as strongly as the wind outside - was concerned my sourdough was gonna blow away! it’s a small cafe with nice interior&exterior seating options :3 we ordered the smashing pumpkins ($17.50), japanese sustenance, mac&cheese jaffle ($7) with italian sausage ($3) and bagel :)
good: smashing pumpkin restored my faith in “[something] on toast” brunch food.
2 slices of sourdough and 2 poached eggs; ample hummus + balsamic vinegar, i was inlove!! the (pumpkin?) seeds were nice addition, and the mashed pumpkin itself was delicious and generous in size
⁃food is presented beautifully with colour
not so good:
⁃wish poached eggs weren’t that runny ? a bit overcooked
⁃waiting staff were a bit fast e.g. left before we could order drinks
⁃waiting time is O.K
overall it’s a nice, cozy place; i might come back to try the jaffles!
New cafe opened for 1.5yrs , located at a secret location, nice backyard ! Good coffee to enjoy , good quality of food , but if you are big eater , you prepare you need to order more 😁 wish come bk more
Located next to SIA Medical Centre on Burwood Highway and just down the road from Deakin University, sits Dosage Café. This unique café has to be one of the best cafes in the area and is home to some of the tastiest food around.
Inside the café it's bright and inviting; the large windows around the café allow the natural light to flood in, making it warm and cosy.
The staff members are really friendly and welcoming, and greeted us with warm smiles on their faces. The service was relatively fast and we received our food and drinks quite quickly........
I love the feel and the science-y theme to this cafe. I had the supreme pizza jaffle on their specials menu - it was awesome! Packed with flavour and deliciously cheesy. My companion had the smoked salmon bagel which was a safe choice. The cream cheese added all the flavour.
I would definitely recommend this place especially if you're nearby, you can't go wrong.
I love this new local cafe. It's small but you don't feel cramped. I asked to remove something in the bagel and they offered to swap it for something else which is so rare; it made my experience that much better. Coffee was good. Staff were good. Needs a bit better shelter outdoors though!
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Food was tasty but could have been a bit more generous when it comed to portions. Mocha was done well and tasty. Not sure about everything being in syringes.
Cute cafe tucked away in burwood. Went to this place last year. The staff were super friendly and the food was DELICIOUS! Would definitely recommend :)
I really like the concept of this cafe and the items on their menu however they don't really alter or have a lot of sides you can add e.g mushrooms. The staff were really nice and service was quick! I didn't love my meal 'the Med'.. it wasn't as described on the menu and was way too saucey! My friends loved the smashed pumpkin though, said it was full of flavor. If I was to return I would probably order something else or just grab a coffee as that was really nice. The ambience was so nice it's a really pretty and modern cafe, with a great outdoor area. Perfect for brunch on a nice day :) Beck Haley Laura Simionato
Set within a medical centre building opposite PLC, this cafe serves very good coffee in a cute little setting (with fun 90's music on the day I was there).
I enjoyed my Turkish-style breakfast whilst busting a groove to Return of the Mack!
I'm pleased and grateful that the owners of this cafe have brought more good coffee to the much under-supplied eastern suburbs. I love their sister cafe, Second Wife, too. Well done.
One tip - lose the syringe gimmick. I find it really off-putting looking at those things. I know that it is considered hip in some parts of town, but I think it celebrates drug culture, so I don't like it.
Dosage is quite easy to miss and parking is difficult. But the food, service and decor was great.
I ordered the chicken jaffle, which was on the daily special menu. The flavours were excellent and the chicken was cooked well. The pretzels on the side went well with the jaffle. I also ordered the hot chocolate, and it came in a beaker presented separately from the milk. It was not too sweet which I liked. My dad ordered the Japanese Sustenance, which he also said was good value for the money.
The service was excellent, with our waiter being very attentive but not so that he was a hassle. A nice touch is that all their sauces or ganache come in a syringe, and squeezing it out is quite a thrill.
I rate this place.
Good vibes, inside and out. HSP jaffle was amazing. Would visit again for the friendliness of the staff. Great for dogs and children. Thanks Dosage
So damn good you guys! The mac n cheese jaffle is so tasty loved the eggs benedict cooked to perfection! Would love to see a wider range kids menu maybe some hot cakes or something but that's just my personal opinion. As for coffee it's not as good as foreigner but still drinkable and good. We will make the drive and return again to try more options! Friendly staff as to be expected from these guys!
Came here after what could only be described as a depressing exam.
Food was absolutely delicious, well balanced and priced well.
Coffee was of okay quality, nothing too bad or over/under extracted. Filter coffee wasn't to my (Nic) standard but was still enjoyable.
We loved the decor and enjoyed the many extra options available to garnish your meals with from dukkah, sesame seeds and sodium chloride (yes, we know that's regular old salt 🙃).
We'd come back as it was a great and unique little cafe in a strip where there isn't much else on offer.
This cute little place is definitely worth every minute!
The cafe was bright and well set up with plants and creative tablet settings.
Very creative with sauce and dressings being provided in syringes, making the meal fun and enjoyable!
Staff is so nice and welcoming and they really make you feel at home and attend to you at a quick and nice pace.
The cafe is a little small, but it's perfect for quick brunch with a friend
Will definitely be trying it again!
Great place with awesome people working there. The food is so strange but so good and the way that it's presented with the syringes makes it so much more appealing. Same goes for the drinks menu. Using the beakers and other sciencey stuff adds a nice twist on what is already really good coffee and iced coffee/chocolate.
Would recommend this to anyone who appreciates decent coffee or even has a spare half an hour for lunch.
Loved the special cheeseburger jaffle. The decor is really nice and they've really put effort into keeping the theme consistent with having the medical centre next door. The chai tea latte is great, spicy and aromatic which was different from any other chai's I've tasted at cafes!
If you're a chemistry nerd who loves brunch you may never leave this place. As the name would suggest there is plenty of little hints at the chemical composition of the coffee they serve here. Beaker water jugs, and sauces in syringes are very cute little additions that make this cafe hidden away next to a medical center amazingly unique and friendly. The menu is brilliant in its simplicity with"fully bashed" avo, bagels of all different sorts and some amazing baffles including mac n cheese and homemade baked beans. And the coffee is great, of course.
Most importantly, when you get the bashed acocado (or pumpkin if you are feeling adventurous) you get TWO slices of seedy bread. This is my biggest pet peeve in life, and dosage delivers, hallelujah!
Park right underneath the cafe and medical center off burwood highway.
Check out their other new cafe opening in Box Hill really soon!
JAFFLES GALORE! Great food choices and atmosphere! Although I wish the portions was a little bigger for the spinach feta jaffle~ HSP Jaffle was yum! Recommend!
This place is amazing! Smashed avo was great and the chilly oil in the syringe was a great touch on top! The location is very hidden but a very cute outside layout! Really great service as well!
This cute little cafe has a different spin on your typical breakfast dishes. With syringes, science tubes and beakers, dosage seems to put even more fun into eating out and we loved it! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and everything is flavoursome. Deciding what to order was tough given the array of smashes, jaffles and bowls! We loved the avo smash and Japanese bowl. Our fresh cold pressed juices were delicious too! Well certainly be back!
Literally could not fault my experience here! The cafe is tiny and I never would have spotted it if I didn't have someone in the know showing me the way but an absolute gem. They do a lot with the space they have! It's clean, uncluttered and well thought out and keeps the science/medical theme going without being creepy.
The menu is small but focused: smashed avos, bagels and jaffles all with a vaguely medical theme. A lot of their offerings include condiments in syringes - fun, but messy. They have sumac, dukkah, oregano and chilli at the tables allowing diners to season as they wish. Great service, great coffee and reasonably priced. Well worth finding!
Absolutely love the vibe and aesthetic here! Food was great (GET JAFFLES). They have your basic avo smash too if you're a basic person...
The ice coffee and ice matcha was amazing and great for a hot day. Can I add... this place is DOG FRIENDLY 🐶
Pricing was reasonable as well so will definitely will be back :)
Once u find this little unique gem u won't b disappointed.. cool funky menu to match the staff who suited the scene but have excellent & very informative knowledge of the menu & the food :) coffee was great, unsure of their crockery for the latte but that's a personal preference .. couldn't not fault a thing.

Came here with a friend who wanted to try it out. We were impressed with the unique menu, yummy food and great service. Not sure what the highlight of the cafe is, it all tasted wonderful. Only downside is the underground parking can be hard to spot until you've passed it.
Dosage - very pretty and very modern brunch place! Friendly approachable staffs. Service was warm and attentive. Coffee was gorgeous. Food was delicious. Everything was lovely! This brunch place is definitely worth a visit! Overall, we finished our morning highly satisfied with the food, matching drink and service. We'll be coming back!
Decided to try this place when a friend suggested it to me. I had their 3 cheese jaffle & it was to die for! The amount of cheese was perfect, wasn't overloaded with cheese. You have to be careful of the syringe, A LOT comes out at one go and mine happened to end up on my shirt. The staff offered us to bring back our shirts so they could dry clean it which I found quite funny actually but the sauces do not stain your shirt.
I also tried their nitrogen ice tea which too was very pleasant, had a strong berry taste to it but you can adjust it yourself with the liqueur they provide.
I wouldn't say it's located in a convenient spot as it is hidden away next to a medical center. We parked at the medical center and it was only an hour limit.
Cute little location with easy underground parking. I like that the menu makes it different to other cafes with nothing that is overly priced. Service is very quick, will definitely be back!
The food at Dosage was very tasty. Was in the area and needed somewhere to eat so i used Zomato to help find something local. I will say that the food felt like a bit of a rip off of the who's who of the Melbourne brunch scene. Never the less food service and coffee were all great!
Ps relax on the syringes.
Very suitable theme! Great customer service . Hsp jaffle was amazing and extremely feeling. Coffee great and plates decorated instagramworhty!
Since I heard about this place a month ago, I have been extremely keen to try it out, especially as it is in our old high school stomping ground of Burwood (if only it had been around in our school days!). Dosage is a small cafe, but is very much the epitome of cool - with a strong science/medical-theme (fits in well given its location within a medical complex). Think syringes of condiments with dishes, beakers of juice and salt labelled as sodium chloride. The menu features bagels, smashes and jaffles - amongst us we had the smashed avocado (excellent), pumpkin (looked delicious) and several jaffles which smelled divine- the ultimate comfort food. The only let down was the poached eggs - none of them had the perfect runny yolk unfortunately! But aside from that, the food, the coffee, and the selection of very cool juices were great.
Staff are lovely and service is excellent - we messaged ahead to let them know a group of 8 of us were coming and they were more than happy to accommodate us, even setting up the large communal table; and adding an extra seat at the last moment. Definitely a little gem in the area, and no doubt will be highly recommended. And as a bonus, there is ample parking within the medical centre!
Came for a simple breakfast and ordered a coffee and jaffle. The jaffle was pretty good and service prompt. I would like to come back for another breakfast and try their smash arvo.
A trendy and modern cafe, hidden in a medical/dental complex. The menu comprises bagels, jaffles, smashed avo, etc., and there are some vegetarian choices available. The dining space is fairly small and somewhat cramped, but the decor is bright and the settings minimalist and stylish. There are also a few small outdoor tables. I ordered the buttered garlic and thyme mushrooms jaffle, which was very tasty and well presented. The coffee was also very good. Nice ambience, with unobtrusive funky background music. The service was very welcoming (I was ushered in and lead to a table, and provided water).
Dosage is a new café co-located within SIA Medical Centre, Burwood. Free parking is available downstairs, so just drive slowly when you're getting closer and you won't miss the turn. They have a cosy indoor and outdoor seating.
Dosage offers dishes with a medical inspired style. They use syringes for sauces, lab flasks for water, test tubes for seasoning and so on. Here, you are allowed to play with your food.
Their specialty are jaffles and bagels. But don't forget to check out their specials menu. Today, I tried their couscous with slow braised pulled lamb. Amazing dish.
The coffee is from Industry Beans which is strong, fragrant and tastes so good. Surely they know how to make good coffee.
Well, don't take my word. Go and try it for yourself the next time you're on this side of town.

A bit of novelty with sauce filled syringes. Certainly instagram worthy. Tasted alright too.
The space was lovely and light-filled.
Quite an odd location sandwiched between Audi showroom and a medical clinic.
Great food and service! I had the smashed pumpkin and it was delicious! This is definitely a hidden gem and I would recommend it to all my friends
Tasty brunch menu (sucuk & baked bean jaffle a highlight) and wonderful coffee at this eastern suburbs outpost. Expect a wait time for your food if you hit the weekday lunch hour-Dosage is popular with staff of the medical centre in which it's located and workers from nearby car dealerships and other businesses.
Dosage is a small, cosy cafe that serves simple but yet satisfying dishes. The staff are friendly and the place is filled with science-lab props that add a quirky touch to the cafe's name. A little disappointed that none of our meals did not come with their iconic syringe but nonetheless the dishes were tasty & filling! I had the 'smashed selection' and my friend ordered the 'lethal dose'. They were both from their 'experimental'/specials menu. Would love to come back and try their other dishes!
Brilliant Coffee! They use Industry Coffee beans. The team is also super friendly - special shout out to Reiji! Also, I really like how close you can get to the coffee making process.
Great little cafe on Burwood Highway where there aren't many places around. good bagels and jaffles for sure. They do short menu of desserts and sweets as well and all of them are pretty good. Mac & Cheese jaffle brings all the good Mac & Cheece memories back.
Fresh food and the the guys are great as well. Been there a few times as I work around the corner but they always welcome you with a smile, would defo go again!
A well deserved review to an awesome little gem in Burwood. The team at Dosage are just as good as the coffee and pimped jaffles they serve. Thank you for my dirty chai's! I wish you continued success Josh Michael Binny
Loved my jaffle! I got the special of the day-the lethal dose. Very creative using beakers and syringes to service the relish and chilli oil. Only issue I have is its not open on weekends.

Cool little cafe in Burwood right next to medical centre, which accounts for its name "Dosage" and the presentation of food drinks. (I ordered a tea which came in a class beacon instead of teapot) which was a cool touch.
Food is great, I tried the salmon bagel and it was amazing. Loaded capers, cream cheese and a nice mix of onions and salad to give it a creamy zing around the plate was a scattering of crunchy seeds which I happily nibbled as between bites.
The service was great prompt and friendly whilst the decor is relaxing and upbeat.
A real hidden gem in Burwood, will definitely be back to try a coffee next time my friend tried the coffee and loved it.
Dosage has great food to either sit in and eat or takeaway (the chicken bagel is amazing!!) and great service!! + THE BEST COFFEE IN THE AREA BY FAR!!
Hospitality Perfection.
Walk in, greeted with a friendly smile.
They are passionate about coffee and food.
It shows, the food is really good, trust me.
Coffee is made for a king.
Best in eastern suburbs.
Thanks for the amazing coffee hits.
Great coffee and friendly service. The free parking downstairs is super convenient. Glad to have something local!
The smashed pumpkin is a must try- it's soooo good.
A little cafe with a great coffee menu and a small menu with bagels, jaffles or eggs! Stayed there for the day making the most of the wifi, great for students close by at uni wanting to get some study done. Tried the chicken bagel, super delicious, would definitely like to try some other items on their menu
The crispy pork banh mi is a must. The pork were well seasoned and cooked perfectly without drying out the meat while the pork skin is the best I've tried. Unlike the usual crispy pork skin this one is incredibly light and not oily at all.
The pastry was fresh. Drinks were good, chocolate milkshake was thick and with the right amount of sweetness and the coffee bean they used for the latte is pretty decent.
The staff are genuinely friendly and accommodating. I had the best soy chai (real mix, no syrup) that I have had in Melbourne. The roast pork bahn mi was superb, soft bread with crispy crust, fresh veggies, perfect proportions and distribution of fillings, including a generous amount of pork and crackling. Will definitely be coming back, can’t wait to try the rice paper rolls, thanks Dosage Cafe!
Seriously good coffee and incredible Bahn Mi, unfortunately they’ve closed down for good, it was a sad last few days here but we returned each day that week to make the most of the great food, coffee and service! 🥲
This tucked away cafe is so delightful!!! I was greeted by super friendly and lovely staff! The food was delicious and drinks too pair!!! I also purchased their filtered coffee packets for home and it did not disappoint!
Came here before the pandemic and now i heard this place has closed down. We hope that after all this chaos is over, you will make a come back! We miss your food!
The plating concept is so unique, and the taste is great! Their semi-outdoor seating makes a perfectly photogenic food setting.
The Crispy Pork Banh Mi is AMAZING...especially with extra Chilli. Great Coffee and a beautiful team who are always warm and welcoming!
Dosage was amazing! A lovely quaint little place with the option of indoor or outdoor seating. Staff were super friendly and catered to our needs. Quirky menu items that are absolutely delicious, love the inclusion of syringes for serving! Very quick service of food and drink! Recommended to us by a good friend and we will definitely be back! Loved everything!
Although a little hard to notice from the street when driving past this little cafe is well worth the effort to find.
The interior decorated with heaps laboratory breaks, vials and jars gives this place a very unique feel. Cosy yet modern.
Tiny kitchen at the back wafts delicious smells while you are waiting for coffee and brunch with their menu turning out some creative Asian inspired brunch options alongside your usual cafe fare.
*Pro tip - don't expect to find Street side parking here. Instead pull into the SIA medical and dental parking below.
The cafe shares the same building as the medical center and is just out front of the entrance way.
