Went here for lunch with my family. I personally really loved their fried chicken. Crispy and tasty! They also serve many other irresistible dishes like bibimbap, tteokbokki, pasta and more! Their menu is quite extensive. Highly recommend.
We had been craving some fried chicken for weeks now and we got our fix this week when we visited Chir Chir in Burwood. Chir Chir’s famous fried chicken restaurant is originates from Korea but we’re lucky enough to have an outlet here in Australia too. It is quality fried chicken and no wonder it is South Korea’s largest chain of restaurants, with over 100 stores. The Australian store is in Burwood and you’ll find a large casual dining space with Korean art and quirky decor. In these Covid times, the restaurant is also applying Covid safe measures with check ins and social distancing.
Chir Chir is a fusion Korean chicken restaurant featuring the iconic melted cheese and fried chicken combo!
Pronounced Chi-Re Chi-Re (not Chur Chur), it's a great choice for those not familar with Korean cuisine as it features dishes such as crispy cheese sticks and pizza! The pizza is a lot tastier than you might expect 😜.
The Shake Shake Box is a great alternative to the typical sandwiches and salads you might have for lunch. Think of it as a fun bento box.
Overall, great for Korean fusion or for those unfamiliar with Korean cuisine.
Every food on the menu is absolutely delicious! A favourite local eat for myself and friends, and the food has never failed to amaze me! Highly recommended.
Good taste, friendly staff. Paid with groupon deal so overall really worth it
Good atmosphere, service and awesome fried chicken :)
We always wanted to give this place a try so we figured why not given the sudden turn for cooler weather this weekend.
Ordered the udon for the kids and their “Venus” cheesy fried chicken to share. Good thing we had the former because the latter, thought advertise was their most popular dish; had a touch of spice- and for my girls, any spice is a no-no.
Still not really their fault, it was pretty tasty. The kids continue to eat as tears and sweat poured down their faces!!
Wife and I shared a hot pot. For me, it’s a first time having spam, sausage, cheese and baked beans in a stew- at the same time. Thought they aren’t famous for their hot pots, can’t really point any negatives.
Nice dinner! Not too expensive either.
One of the best korean fried chicken chains in Sydney. it seems the trend with franchises is that there are less sides (usually 1-2) as a trade off for quality chicken - super crispy exterior, soft juicy interior with perfect spicy sweet sauce. Bibimbap and kimchi fried rice were great #no complaints
Kimchi fried rice (~$14), spicy cold noodles (~$14) and combo tenders ($22). Everything was presented really well and portion sizes were generous. The chicken combo came in original, soy garlic and spicy (?) with a good mix of both dark and breast meat. As to be expected, the breast meat is a little dry, but it comes with a side of salsa which accompanies the dish really well. I thought the fried rice was a winner, it was oily and well seasoned with a nice ‘wok’ flavour to it. The cold noodles I think could have been spicier but was still very refreshing paired with the chicken ✌️👍 More than enough food for two.
The Venus fried chicken and fried rice was amazing!!!!
Chicken was crispy and in small pieces so your tongue won’t burn from the hot chicken.
Service was great! They came to the table and made our fried rice on the sizzling dish!
The amount of Korean fried chicken establishments in Sydney is growing by the minute, each place creating something innovative to differ from the rest.
Chir Chir wins on creativity, by going the extra mile on how they serve basic main meals. My partner wanted bulgogi with rice, and instead we got a deconstructed sizzling plate of rice, meat, and a tonne of sides.
Fried chicken tenders with cheese sauce, served on a hot plate? Yes, extra as.
Really enjoyed Chir Chir. If you’re a fan of fried chicken you must try this place out. Bimbimbap was my favourite although I’m not too fond of the runny cheese on my chicken. Would recommend this place

There's three types of chicken you can get here: chicken on the bone, chicken wings or boneless chicken. Then there's three different flavors: plain, garlic and chili. Our favorite combination is wings with garlic, but I'd recommend you get the wings with all three flavors so you try a bit of everything.
The spicy seafood soup is like that of other Korean restaurants. The bimbimbap didn't have a crispy outer shell despite us leaving it before mixing. They also had a 9.95 meal box which a variety of toppings. This dish was alright, but I'd suggest you take out some of the chili to begin with, in case it's too spicy after mixing.
We visited on a Saturday night and service was pretty quick. We ordered Half Spicy Chicken and Half Original Chicken, Beef Bibimbap, and Quid Tentacle.
The bibimbap and quid tentacle came out first and we had to wait a while for the chicken. The spicy chicken was my favourite as it was crispy and the sauce was mouthwatering. If I visit again I wouldn’t get the original chicken because it tastes pretty standard, nothing special. The bibimbap was pretty good too.
I really enjoyed their mixed box, it looks like bibimbap and it was really delicious! It was quite affordable as well. I would go here often if I work or live nearby. Their fried chicken is quite nice as well, a lot of meat, not too much batter and not that oily.

Taste of food is good. I liked the ambience. Portion of food is ok. Price is ok. Good place to hang out with friends. Staffs are frindly and cooperating.
Additional items to the current menu. Busy on a Friday night which is to be expected. Service was good and prompt and YES the chicken was worth the wait. The Venus chicken with cheese was delicious and the Chilli chicken was nicely spiced with a nice complement of sweet potato, fries and rice. I recommend the Soy Bean soup as a refresher for a heavy meaty meal.
The chicken here was delicious and the quantity that was served was a good portion. I highly recommend this place. The environment of the restaurant seemed really cosy and family friendly. I love this place because days after eating here I’ve been craving for more (:
Ordered a full crispy chicken that was extremely crispy and succulent on the inside. It was filling and also loved the little side dishes that cut through the fried aftertaste. Service was really fast for us although I saw other customers not being served as fast. Went for their promotional period making the KFC feed really great value.
Will be back one day!
The majority of the food me and my friends tried was great except the honey butter chicken. I like sweet but it was too sweet for chicken.
I would recommend the New Orleans wings, that was amazing.
Good place for fried chicken if you're in burwood! Only provides 2 sides being picked radish and corn. Decent serving sizes (esp the seafood hotpot), service was soso and you need to make an effort to get their attention.
Good fried chicken offered at average prices compared to other Korean Chicken places. Nicely furnished restaurant with comfortable seating, good place for groups of 4-8 people, friend gatherings, families etc.
Nice staff and easy location.
Been here a few times, recommend the garlicky chir tenders and the original fried chicken.
Been here a few times, quite like the garlic tenders and original fried chicken. The chicken isn’t too dry, flavouring is great!
Customer service can be improved, attentiveness if staff. However overall was good.
Price is pretty good, fed 8 people for around $14 each.

South Korea’s biggest restaurant chain, Chir Chir (pronounced Chi-re Chi-re) has landed in Burwood. It’s the perfect excuse for chimaek – the harmonious pairing of fried chicken (chikin) and beer (maekju). Yeah okay, there’s nothing particularly highbrow going on here, except perhaps the setting. Chir Chir’s digs are part of Burwood’s new Emerald Square dining precinct, which, in and of itself, is worth a gander. The modern shopping centre sits at the base of a series of residential towers, and offers wide, open-air aisles of restaurants each with a picture menu to lure in diners. While part of the development, Chir Chir also has street frontage on Belmore Street, just off the suburb’s bustling main drag (Burwood Road). The design cues are funky and youthful, running from graphically strong black, white and red logo chicks, to rows of white caged hipster bulbs hanging from blonde-wood ceiling pieces that also house recessed lights. In case you don’t get the eat fried chook and drink booze cue, bottles of...
One of the best Korean i have ever had. Nice and juicy chicken . Good selection of booze. welcoming staff all that makes up quality service .
You can’t go wrong with cheesy chicken! This was honestly really good! Boneless chicken with lots of cheese! The cheese didn’t overpower the chicken, it worked really well with the chicken strips. Sort of like the ones from KFC, although the chicken didn’t taste like KFC ones. But overall, it was tasty enough to be one of the good dishes.
Came on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. Not very busy and only a few tables taken.
We had Been wanting to come here since seeing the cheese being poured on the chicken on instagram.
We ordered the nachos - generous portion; the wings tasting platter - amazing; the beef bulgogi - a limited time only special and really yummy; and the Venus Chicken which was spectacular - who doesn’t love cheesy chicken??
Situated on Belmore Road close by to Emerald Square And Burwood Plaza. This is a Korean fusion and chicken restaurant. Quite a few chicken creations with cheese! Service is friendly here.
Lots of combinations of chicken, it can be quite easy to be overwhelmed what to pick, they also offer noodle and rice dishes too as well as lighter starters. The prices are more on slightly expensive side. The notable highlights included their most popular dish of Venus Cheesy Chicken. Crispy strips smothered in all types of cheeses. You wouldn’t want to be on a diet when eating this dish as it’s certainly indulgent for the hips. The chicken is nicely cooked. The Triple Combo Of Chir Tenders goes down a treat too. Easy to eat tenders because they are boneless, you get the regular crispy, some smothered in their spicy sauce, and the rest in the garlicky sauce.
Overall an enjoyable meal had here.
The Garlic fried chicken was bomb. So was the spicy sauce one, it was a little sweet though if you're one of those people that wants spicy af fried chicken.
The actual building its in is also really nice and new, which for those of you who complain about how ghetto some restaurants in burwood/lidcombe etc area (even tho the food at most of those types of places is lit) are, probs a good choice for y'all high maintenance folk.
Was okay I think half of it was chips though. You have to dip the honey butter fried chicken in the sauce so it's a bit different. I like other places more.
I just wanna say that it is delicious.
Fried chicken with cheese 😭😭😭 i really like it.
Kimchi-beef-steam rice is also good.
You should go to Burwood and try it as soon as possible ha ha.
Sweet Cheesus!!!! 🧀🧀🧀 look at all those cheesy goodness from VENUS CHEESY CHICKEN!! Crispy chicken strips with variety of cheeses... 😍🧀🐔🧀
we really love all the food that we ordered here. It's just for us, it's a bit overpriced as we only ordered 2 dishes and cost us approximately $60. Could be cheaper. 😊

No joke the Best Korean fried chicken I've ever had!
Previously I had already given up on Korean fried chicken, it's completely overrated, and every time I had Korean fried chicken, it would be the driest and flavourless chicken.
Chir Chir Chicken changed the Korean chicken game. Their chicken is so juicy! Especially the wings! And their flavouring is on point! Just amazing!
Highly recommend their spicy wings! My friend who couldn't even take spice wouldn't stop eating it cause it tasted so good!
The best Korean style fried chicken I have eaten in Sydney, great tasted dish. Love the environment and friendly staffs. Location was good car park is nearby.

🍔 SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH: spicy thigh fillet, salad, American cheese, Chir exclusive sauce on toasted brioche bun 🍔
.
💙 This fried chicken was amazing! Juicy thigh, crunchy coating, simple salad and a spicy kick 💙
.
🔍 Would have loved crispy bacon for saltiness and porklife 🔍
KFC NINJA!
Straight from Korea finally Chir Chir has arrive to Sydney, finally i got to visit this place.
Delicious, crispy, juicy, cheesy and saucy korean fried chicken, serving up not so greasy fried chicken in many ways to accommodate all taste buds.
My favourite was the "Vampire wings" maybe because its garlic soy which made it very addictive! All fried chicken needs to be paired with cheese! HOT MELTED CHEESY SAUCE IS A MUST.
UNTIL NEXT TIME .... KEEP EATING!!!
The salad was so bomb!! I tried the honey grape salad. Ive never had fruit mixed with salad. The ricotta cheese was not as i expected. It was so sweet, sort of like japanese fluffy cheesecake!! It was so delicious. More like a dessert than a salad. I think i want to try the mango salad next time! :P So excited :3
The service was not so great. We had to wave down a waitor to get our order. They walked past several times.
Another downside was that a lot
of things on the menu were not available. I wanted to try the overprices slushies but they didnt have any left :( The paella was also out. :(
Otherwise i had the garlic chicken. Serving portion was HUGE!! A bit spicy for my liking but still delicious! Its extremely saucy so its not really crispy. The sauce makes it a little soggy. But that's expected.
I also got chir fries. The fries were really crispy. The toppings did not look as plentiful as on the menu and it wasnt really saucy. I like my fries with cheese sauce!! So i thought it was some type of loaded fries at first. But its worth a try! There was a side of sauce; something like ranch sauce.
Id definitely visit this restaurant again to try out different things on the menu!
Chir Chir is a popular Korean restaurant chain in Asia, and the store has branched out to our shores with its first location opening in Burwood. The restaurant’s concept is simple: the two chickens that adorn the entrance and front counter are brother and sister and represent the family style of the food. Some of the items on Chir Chir’s menu may seem familiar to people who frequent Korean fried chicken joints, but the homey comfort food served here is on another level both flavour and presentation-wise.
We sampled several of the signature chicken dishes, from a classic crispy Korean fried chicken to an amazing cheesy chicken and rice dish. The “garlicy roasted chicken” consisted of super juicy and tender cuts of chicken, smothered in a sweet garlic marinade, which made the skin almost unlawfully delicious. The sauce on the “fairy wings” (which was small chicken wings served with salad and chips) was something of a revelation: it was sweet and salty and completely addictive. We had the spicy chicken tenders, which was boneless chicken with sweet potato cubes and pieces of chewy rice cake, and cooked in a special spicy sauce which had a real kick to it yet also a hint of sweetness. The “half-half” is for those of us who can never decide what they want to eat: it features both original fried chicken as well as the spicy fried chicken. Both were outrageously crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside -- it’s a little messy to eat but that’s all part of the fun and enjoyment of fried chicken! In fact, Chir Chir provides a neat tool that helps you grip your fried chicken and tear off the beautiful meat, however even with this tool I managed to get messy hands but luckily they also provide wet wipes!
The two highlights of the night were a hot plate of cheesy chicken goodness, and also the caprese salad -- don’t write me off too soon because this salad was just as much of a treat as all the chicken. It comprised of the usual lettuce, tomato, and mozzarella, but was also full of seasonal fruit like kiwi, plum, and rockmelon, and was dressed with a gorgeous vinegar-y blueberry dressing. The flavour combinations worked surprisingly well together and it was a great dish to cut through all that chicken. However, nothing was as amazing as the “Venus cheesy chicken”. Crispy chicken tender strips and potato wedges were brought out on a hot plate covered in a variety of cheese and sauce which was then heated up at the table. The result was a melty, cheesy, creamy, mess of chicken that we just kept going back for. But wait, there’s more. After a little while, a lovely staff member brought out some rice, cut the remaining chicken and wedges into smaller pieces, turned the heat back on and mixed the rice through, creating a beautiful cheesy chicken fried rice -- it’s like getting two dishes in one.
Chir Chir was an absolute delight to dine at. The space is bright and inviting, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The range on the menu is sure to have something for everyone; the variety of different chicken dishes alone is very impressive. Best of all, the dishes are all made for sharing, so it’s a great place to bring family and mates to bond over some truly great Korean comfort food.
I ordered 'Spicy Tender' for $36.50, a bit too expensive for my liking. I did not expect it to be TOO spicy but it was. I cried while eating it and could not finish my meal shared with another. Chicken here is typically more expensive than Korean Fried Chicken and comes in smaller quantities. However they do add cubes of sweet potato and rice cake (but it was very hard to chew through) and the flavour is better. I might come back to try other flavours and maybe wings instead of tenders next time.
The original chicken wings are probably the best in my opinion. It's so crispy but really tender on the inside. I feel like all the other dishes with sauce, like the spaghettie, take away from the flavour of the chicken. The spaghettie wasn't that great. The noodles themselves were quite bland and the chicken in that was a little too salty.
