Delicious authentic Vietnamese cuisine in the heart of Burwood. Nice ambiance with interior mixture of old school Vietnamese and modern chic. Tasty food in generous portion size. Service was friendly & helpful. š
They have a huge variety on the menu such as Beef noodle soup with Wagyu beef, Egg noodle soup with braised duck maryland and Salt & pepper quail etc.
Their Egg noodle soup with braised duck & mushroom was delicious. The duck was tender & flavoursome. The flesh had been infused with the flavour of Chinese spices. The egg noodles had a firm bite & springy texture, swimming in the bowl of rich & savoury broth. š
I also enjoyed their Cambodian style clear rice noodle (dry). Comes with a small bowl of soup for you to add to the noodles if you donāt them to stick together too much. The ingredients were fresh & tasty, it will be perfect on a hot summerās day. š
They have delicious pho. The beautiful bone broth is what stood out to me. Iāve had takeaway from here as well as dine in and both times it was delicious.
Service was what you expect it to be. Attentive enough but nothing amazing. Food came out in time and the cashier was friendly enough.
Definitely would come back here to try more dishes tho.
Pros:
- Stereotype-breaking-ly attentive service
- Generous portion
- Flavour of food was nice
Cons:
- Duck in the duck salad congee was a bit bland
- Probably not ratchet enough to be taken as authentic
I love the rice paper rolls here, they give you much more compared to other store and it is so delicious. The pho is consistent excellent - the meat is succulent and the broth is very flavoursome alongside all the other components of the pho. Overall, a cheap eat and very much worth it.
I love pho... love love it. I could eat it most days of the week if I could. When I discovered they had a wagyu pho, my instant reaction was that I HAD to try it. The wagyu pho definitely lived up to my already high expectations of pho. The portion size was generous, wagyu meat was plentiful and the broth was deep in flavour. Almost perfection! The wagyu cuts are definitely more premium, thereby giving the broth a more gelatinous, strong depth that a good pho should have and taking it to that next level. Iāve returned to mint multiple times now after that first visit and Iām probably going again this weekend. The broken rice dish is also fantastic according to my partner who orders it 1 out of 2 times. I tried the chicken pho.. and although great wasn't the best i've had and was very basic.
Went here for the first time on a Friday night, and will definitely be back.
Tried the crab meat and prawn mousse tapioca udon ($14), as itās not something I find in other Vietnamese eateries, and loved it! Intense crab flavour in the soup, bouncy noodles and tasty prawn mousse.
Friend had the signature vermicelli ($14.50) which looked vibrant and fresh. Keen to be back to try other dishes!
Love seeing uncommon options on menus and Mint certainly provides that! Both dishes ordered were fresh and super-filling. Walked past and there was one table filled...10-minutes later, the restaurant was full to the brim!
If pho is your go and your in this area this is easily the best option in Burwood/Strathfield
The Pho is great right up there with flavour and the serving size Is very generous i was told it was very good so made the trek to see for myself very happy I did.
Was busy for a Thursday lunch. Seems popular. Ordered the crispy noodle and a large pho. Huge portions that will definitely fill you and the food is tasty without having to add extras. It was a bit salty post-lunch but luckily had some nice green tea on the table that is complimentary. Food service is fast and no-fuss. Will recommend friends to go here if they go to Burwood.
A nice place for people seeking tasty Viet dishes. Their food will satisfy your craving, especially there arenāt many Viet restaurants in the surrounding neighborhood.
Highly recommend their vermicelli soup with duck and bamboo shoot (bun mang vit). This one is a bomb.
As someone who is allergic to peanuts, Vietnamese food is something I have to be careful with. The menu at Mint is something I wish every restaurant has. Each dish that contains peanuts has a special peanut logo meaning that I can order whatever I want without bothering the lovely staff asking for an ingredients list for everything!
Based on what I had - (prawn soup D5) I can make an educated guess that everything served here (including those dishes with peanuts) will be delicious!
Great little restaurant!
Decent place and price. Their pho is a little bit different than traditional pho, vermicelli ingredients are fresh and their fish cake is really good!
Great food and great price, I hope the price can be kept like present. I had crab meat based tapioca noodle soup with seafood.
Delicious authentic Vietnamese cuisine in the heart of Burwood. Classic Vietnamese dishes from pho, through to small share plates, to bun bo hue and bun cha special, which is drool worthy. Make sure you try the spring rolls which are also made in house. Great for small to medium groups and definitely gets a strong recommendation to satiate your Vietnamese food cravings!
Small Vietnamese cafe in Burwood.
If you are in Burwood and like me you love Pho, then why not give this place a go!
