Review Little Nepal - Burwood

Upon reading the reviews, I actually feel bad for this small cozy place. I ordered chicken momos and I thought they were fantastic.

I love momo but today I went with family. We ordered momo but momo was disgusting no taste and all . Mango smoothie was also very awful. Not going anymore

Ordered the saag and we ordered the spicy hot option. It was not only extra spicy but the flavour was intense. We thoroughly enjoyed this place at its new location

After getting off to burwood from the airport, we thought of having nepali food. As we were so hungry, we grabbed 5 skewers from a nearby store. As soon as we entered the restaurant, a short waitress in black uniform confronted us saying that outside food are not allowed. Fair enough, but we literally had 2 skewers left and the container was enclosed. We tried to convince her that we would finish it right away without making mess and we will be ordering alot. She still insisted us to not have the outside food. Seriously?? Does she even know what customer service really is ? That is not the way to handle such situation. She was rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. My past experience was horrible too;serving wrong orders and cold food. No wonder this restaurant has such poor reviews. Keep up like this, I doubt you guys will have many customers in the near future. Save your bucks and spend in an actual good restaurant.

Pretty mixed feelings about this place as the food here was not too bad but it was confusing to see ‘dumplings’ here. The place seemed a little rundown and any place that uses plastic covers on their tables says a lot about the standards of the place. The waitress also seemed always confused when speaking to her and some menu items are unavailable. Also there is no indoor restrooms here. You have to travel outside through a little alleyway with a toilet that definitely does not look like it’s maintained but I believe it’s shared so it may not be there responsibility ? Probably won’t come back.

As like others, I had similar experience with their food. Was starving and craving for momo and got off at Burwood to go to this place and ordered veg momo and aalu ko aachar, momo was awful, no taste like momo, lots of carrot and chickpeas only and aalu ko aachar felt like taken out from frozen, it taste nice when chilled not frozen. I did order more momos for my brothers they ate chicken momo and they didn't like it either.

Always always order the steamed momos-chicken as well as the vegetable flavour. Sooo goood!! and the sauce is the best accompaniment. A hidden snack gem in Burwood.

Tiny little place like their name suggests. Tried their chicken steamed momos which were good the red chutney / sauce was a little let down as it wasnt burning hot like how we get in india. Priced reasonably and friendly staff.

My go to place when I'm in burwood for Chicken Chowmein Noodles. The staff is friendly and prompt. The food is ecstatic. Gives me a homely kind of feel. Decent pricing and decent quantity of food served.

Great place, friendly staffs and of course they got the world's most delicious goat curry and Momo to offer. Grill set was so good I didn't know meats can so tasty. Extremely highly highly recommended.

The world’s best ‘pulao’ is made here. I have been to India but i can say that no one makes it like Little Nepal does.

Their Chillie Chicken is also simply amazing. One of my #1 restaurants in Sydney.

Unless you want to spoil your evening, stay away from this place. We visited with our friends and 2 kids for dinner and we met with a very rude waitress. One need to scream and wave in order to get attention. Instead of fresh steaming momos, we were served, hard stale (maybe frozen) momos. Service was so bad that they gave appetiser plates for dinner. Imaging serving 3 curries and one dry curry and rice and bread in a small 6 inch plate. Upon complaining, waitress showed a lot of attitude with frowning face and making a lot of noise with vessels.

Trust me, they spoiled my event and evening. Will never ever go there again. I also spotted some cockroaches on the floor.

Worst Customer Service ever experienced out here. When i first got here about a year ago, i was very pleased and delighted with the food and the customer service was people friendly.
Tonight i went there again with my four colleagues thinking that i would get the same quality as before but it turned out to be bogus.
The grumpy waitress just ruined my day. To be honest the service was absolutely disastrous. I got shocked seeing an asian customer literally looking for the waitress all the way down to the kitchen.
Probably the worst part is that i was asked by the waitress to put my two food menu together on the same plate to save the space on the table. Where in earth a waitress ask to mix up a customer menu on the same plate?? Your staff embarrassed not only me and my colleagues but the whole Nepal.

Hope u get this message and improve your service. You can perform far more more better.

Delicious authentic Nepalese food. The restaurant doesn't look fancy but serves excellent food... My husband and I really enjoyed the food here...We ordered chicken momo, chicken thali and goat thali which were all extremely delicious and the portion size was generous too... Staffs were courteous and friendly... Will definitely visit again

After traveling to Nepal I craved their food. I would highly recommend Little Nepal. The food is consistently amazing, great traditional flavours. The best Nepalese food I have had thus far.

Great little curry spot. A few great options for for vegetarians (cottage cheese&green peas curry, potato&cauliflower curry & vege momo dumplings). Food came out relatively quickly. Lovely service with a smile from the guy. Loved the complimentary papadums. Will be back esp during a cold winter looking for some comfort food,
