Very good ice cream and gelato with lots of different flavours. Good and friendly staff

The staffs are fantastic and very friendly. Most of the items are made in store hence there is a fresh feeling about the products. Besides Gelato is a far more superior product than ice-cream.

Worst worst worst experience in Gelatissimo at Burwood.my hubby went their to get two pistachios shakes costed $7.50 each. After having 2 sips we both went back and told her this taste like milk. She replied (lied) to us that your husband asked for milk shake so we put 2 scoop ice cream and milk and give to him. At the point we both so frustrated as she just lied. , don’t know why. Instead of complaining or arguing with her we throw both of them in bins and than she said “IF YOU WANT “ I can make you other one, well it was too late as we are not kind of people will go back in and scream at them. But I or my family will never ever go back there. I would rather drink plain water than waste my money & time also it did spoil our mood. Such a waste of time and money. Need to learn customer service , instead or arguing with customer just help them as we don’t even argue with her or said any thing.

First and last time there. How bad customer service can be? I was asking for an ice cream recommendation and she angrily answered It's up to you! Shocking! she can't even put a smile on her face and it wasn't busy.

A bit pricey but who can go pass a great variety of flavours. Gelato and ice cream were delicious so was the coffee. I just hope their service could be better.

Went to this branch yesterday, 1st, staff told us only can try 2 flavours which is never happened before in all gellatisimo branch. 2nd, after tried 2 flavours n bought 1 different one but all taste just ice, very lack of flavours, and again, never happened in other gellatisimo branch. Owner, should pay attention for these matter!

Their ice creams are creamy enough. They have not only varities of ice creams but also other desserts. They have an espresso bar as well. You can sit and have there or take away.

Green Goodness Gelato

After a disappointment dinner we seek a place to have a nice dessert and we looked up the closes desse place in Burwood. Gelatissimo popped out so we decided to go there.

As we enter their place, there was a lot of variety for Ice cream and when I looked at my right I saw what I wanted straight away. I bought their green tea ice cream gelato and it did not disappoint. It was not as strong as matcha ice cream but it was delicious!

It was the perfect blend of bitter and sweet. I asked for a double scoop and they filled it up till it's full. The service was great, they smile as they serve the Gelato and they recommend you to try before buying.

Would recommend to anyone and I would come again!

Service here was good.
I downloaded the app and got $5 off of my order which was good.
The gelato was good too so no complaints.
These guys are open quite late which is good if you're feeling for something sweet.

It was a Monday evening and I went in to order the most expensive dessert called 'Death by Chocolate' for 22$. It was one of the worst tasting gelato I have ever tasted in my life. It was evenly spread out with 2 scoops, some snickers and wafers. It looked delicious but it was exorbitantly awful in taste and meagre in quantity. After telling the manager about it, we expected they made some changes to it and made it a bit more exciting and at least worth the money but the manager was highly rude and in-courteous to me. Instead of following a basic customer service etiquette and listening to me, he questioned my idea of taste and asked me to eat that or get lost. He wouldn't return my money and kept standing by the side of my table constantly telling me 'There is no one who can not like my product'. I told him it was my personal choice but he spoilt my mood and kept re-iterating his idea of how my taste was bad. What I expected was a respectful or in the least a bit more accomodating attitude of the manager while what I got in return was mere defence in the favour of his product not in how he could have probably helped and solved my problem. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

Came here for a quick ice-cream fix whilst we were shopping the other day.
After taste testing a few of their varieties i decided on one scoop of the veronese chocolates ice-cream and my partner opted for the burnt caramel flavoured ice-cream made into a thickshake.
The shake was not that great (personally i did not like it) but the ice-cream was delicious. It had a nice creamy consistency with a flavour reminding me very much of ferrero rocher. I found it quite enjoyable I wished I had ordered an extra scoop.
Customer service is also good, i'll be back again to try some of their other flavours next time im in the area.

Awesome place to satisfy your ice cream cravings. Their ice creams are better than anything that's out there. The shakes (milkshake with 2 scoops of ice cream, thick shake with 3 scoops of ice cream and super shake with 4 scoops of ice cream) are out of this world. Their standout flavours are Veronese chocolate and salted caramel. Their sorbets are also a treat for the palette.

I didn't experience poor service as mentioned in another review. If anything the workers are young, err on the shy side and are polite.
I've noticed the portions the Burwood store serves are larger than other Gelatissimo stores I've visited in Sydney.

I am still in shock on what i just experienced.
The ice cream was decent but the service was the worst thing i've ever seen. There was three girls one filling the ice cream, one serving extremely slow and one walking around making jokes. They were falling over each other and having conversations about stupid things in front of customers. Not only were they slow they didn't acknowledge the waiting customers. I was considering asking to speak to management because of the disgusting service. I would never go back for that reason.

Gelatissimo in Burwood was where the wife and I use to go before all these amazing gelato places popped up over Sydney like Cow and Moon and Messina. In comparison the quality at Gelatissimo just does not compare. It’s too generic. They try and spruce things up with new flavours and other marketing gimmicks but it just isn’t as creamy and smooth like the others. Price wise it’s also quite similar to ones that you would get better quality for. I suppose it’s just convenience if you decide to eat here as it’s close to the cinemas and other eateries. Great place to stop off and treat the kids but as for yourselves I suggest going for a drive to get the good stuff. It’s located in Westfields Burwood facing the main road (Burwood Road). There is 2 hours free parking inside Westfields.

Rocher Cake - Gelatissimo
The boy requested an icecream cake so here it is in all its glory! Chocolate sponge & Veronese chocolate gelato, encased in a nut chocolate ganache (nutella?? :D) and topped with nut encrusted bambino cones.

The worst service we've ever had!!. We have been to many Gelatissimo stores over the years. The standouts being Manly, Darling Harbour and the Gold Coast. This one at Burwood - this was by far the worst.

Firstly, the lady serving us was very stingy with her servings, and at the prices they charge- $7.70 for 3 scoops you do expect an indulgent serving of ice cream! Not the meager servings we received which were equivalent to almost a tablespoon of each flavour. Ridiculous!

Then, the lady serving us proceeded to micro manage and boss us, as well as constantly showering us with very personal questions about everyday things that were just none of her business - like our ethnic background, where we live, where the kids go to school etc. She then proceeded to tell us her whole life story! This was after we had made our purchases and had settled down to enjoy them at their cafe. Despite all our attempts to nicely curb her questioning, she did not take the hint and kept going. She did not leave us alone the whole time which made it difficult for us to enjoy our outing as a family.

Overall it is NOT an experience we'd recommend to anyone.
