Review Legend Hot Pot Buffet - Burwood

Starnub
Pretty much everything you'd want at a hotpot buffet. Free drinks, huge variety, great soup bases, quality ingredients. Even if it's somewhat pricey I'd say it's well worth it. Would recommend!

Pretty good all you can eat hotpot place. A wide variety of hotpot soup bases, hotpot items, veggies and cooked dishes. Good drinks selection and decent desserts. My favourite was the milk pudding! A little expensive considering I personally don't eat much but for a nice night out with family and friends, it's worth it.

Love this place. I tried for lunch, (it wasn’t so crowded). All ingredients were sooo fresh and displayed well (some of items need labels) also non- alcohol drinks were included. Staffs were very helpful. Enjoyed my lunch there and want to take my family and friends sometime soon.

Had an amazing experience from the moment I stepped inside. The lady at the counter was very friendly and explained how it worked when she knew it was our first time there. The soup bases were great, with the options of choosing from multiple half/half bases. The choice of food was large enough to make it your money's worth. They even had cooked food such as dim sums and skewers which I was not expecting. Their drinks section is also quite good, as it's more than the usual soft drinks, with iced lemon tea etc. The hot pots worked very well with no fault, and there was plenty of room inside the restaurant to ensure it was a comfortable experience for all. I found the price to be reasonable, but of course this depends how much you can eat. I will definitely return again.

Staffs are so friendly. 120 mins unlimited hotpot buffet. So many food varieties, meat, veggies, seafood and cold dishes etc. Unlimited drinks too

Was a decent hotpot buffet and we got discounts for being students so remember to bring your student card if you have one. The wagyu meat was really disappointing, so I did not have any of the beef type meats here. The lamb however is really fresh and I love lamb. You get given a ticket upon entry and you have to head to the back of the restaurant to trade the ticket for the soup pot. The crab was fresh and there was a large variety of options including various pre- made side dishes. They also had unlimited drinks and a large variety to choose from. There is also the option to eat past the two hour dining time at an extra cost. One large downside was that they were extremely strict on not letting you take food outside. Someone tried to bring an almost finished drink out and got stopped, my friends tried to bring outside her half eaten popsicle and she was told we couldn’t.

Ingredients arent fresh, ready made dishes also not fresh and was stale. Especially was disappointed at prawn balls -> appeared to have melted from once frozen state. Bit overpriced for what it actually is. Also, the buzzing in and out at the main entrance plus weird card to get the soup felt unnecessary…

Everything was fantastic! When we walked in the lady at the service desk was friendly and explained to us exactly what to do! All of the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and all of the customers were so friendly and actually spoke to my partner and I! Another customer showed me all of the ingredients and even helped explain what broth based were popular! The food itself was incredible too! We will be back :)

Very poor management and ridiculously poor customer service! We booked a table one week in advanced for a birthday dinner. We arrived at the restaurant on time and we still have to wait for half an hour for our table. Then the restaurant reception gave our table to another group of people who came after us and did not even made a booking. That group was not in the waiting list at all. After they gave away our table, The restaurant reception then offered us two smaller tables and asked us to sit in two separate tables. This is absolutely ridiculous and outrageous. Speechless.

I’d go everyday if I could, I highly recommend this hot pot buffet 👍

Good atmosphere, and plenty of choice of food, I’ll recommend ppl come. Good service as well. Food look nice and clean.

But I came twice, each time can’t make my own 2 soup base, you can only choose the one they have ( like if the tomato soup sold out, they won’t make new one for u. U can only get others) which is sad. And don’t really have fresh meat like premium wagyu, just normal frozen one. seafood frozen as well but it’s good.

I will come back if i feel Want some hotpot buffet.

When it’s a cold winter’s day, hotpot is the place to go! And lucky I had made the right decision to join a group of foodies at this hotpot in Burwood! It was $58 pp! This hotpot buffet has everything you could possibly want for a good meal!! They have all the essential ingredients for a hotpot, and not only that they also got sushi, dumplings, fruits, desserts and much more! I like the idea of the two choice soup base! And the spicy soup base is the one to go for!! But do you know what else they have??? Soju!!!!! Boo yeah!!!! According to my opinion, I would say it’s definitely worth it for $58!!!

Good food choices. This famous hotpot places is known for years. Food selection is good, so many things to eat from seafood, meat, vege, noodle. Unfortunately we only have 2 hours limit to eat.
Price for adult is $60
kids under 140cm is $23
and under 1m is free ( i remember)

!!! RIP OFF WARNING / Bait Advertising / Inflated Launch Buffet Menu Price $60 Without Notice!!!!

They have recently up their lunch buffet price from advertised $48 to $60/pp without any notice.

You are charged without been informed.

All ingredients are frozen, not fresh especially at this price point. Fish and seafood with heavy ammonia chemical taste (guess its the way they are keeping it "fresh" by adding chemical to mask the food that have gone off)

Cooked food are placed next to raw food! Hygiene is poor with dirty plates and utensils.

VERY DISAPPOINTING, FOOD IS AVERAGE. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST.

Fairly priced considering you get all you can eat scallops and crab but selection of veggies, noodles and meatball items were disappointing. There wasn’t a great variety of it but the food was delicious. Hotpot soup base is lovely and I really enjoyed my time. Definitely would come back!

I love hot pot, specifically the communal dining aspect of everyone focussed on a pot of soup bubbling away at the centre. Carefully swirling thin slices of meat into the soup until cooked to your liking, fishing for forgotten tofu and smothering your morsels into a custom made dipping sauce. Legend Hot Pot in Burwood is one of the few hot pot places in Sydney where it’s buffet hot pot, lunch will set you back $48pp and dinner $58pp but lemme tell you right now, this place is VALUE! The quality of everything was super impressive and there’s so much variety! You pay at the entrance first and can purchase alcoholic beverages from the inside bar later.

As far as hotpot buffets go this place is one of the better if not the best I have been to. The food seems fresh and plentiful. I loved that Desserts weren’t just an after thought. I loved the cans of herbal tea and drinks are all included. So many soup bases to choose from including half half’s which I haven’t seen before at mini pot. The well-being and pickled veg bases were awesome. Massive sauce station was also amazing! The 2 hour time limit is the only minus if going with a big group because hotpot can last a long time chatting with friends.

Booked for 5 pax via Zomato app and turned up on time. Only to be notified that they do not accept bookings for less than 6 pax despite getting confirmation email from Zomato.

We went there for lunch. I have to say this is an excellent hot pot buffet! Meats and vegetables are fresh, those marinated are with perfect textures and taste. Dim sim are properly prepared and kept warm and crispy. They have all the ingredients for dipping sauce as for the style of my hometown hot pots. And above all, the cold dishes taste just right! No sesame paste where it shouldn’t be (this is not a very common case). Like it!

Best hot pot buffet I've ever been. Good selection of meat, seafood, dessert and drinks. Nice and comfortable atmosphere, the place is modern, neat, clean and not cramped.

4.5/5

We came here to celebrate the boyfriend's birthday. This is the first time we came, but it was quite easy to navigate the process of getting your pot and then food etc. it was also very convenient to pay before you get a seat. The environment is nice, clean and bright.

There's a large variety of soup bases, I got a dual pot with spicy broth and pickled vege broth. The spicy one is nice and tingly, and the pickled vege one is quite special.
Food wise, they offer a large range of hot pot ingredients as well as some snacks. The hot pot ingredients are generally from frozen goods, but you can still taste the freshness (no freezer taste). I really enjoyed the beef and lamb slices. If you're into offals, there's also lamb brain and pig's liver etc.
The cooked food, in my opinion, can be neglected.

However we did notice some items are missing even though they listed it on the menu online.

We were really full at the end. Good value for money.

This place is so bright and the staff are nice but could be a bit improved in terms of customer service. Some food was cold so who knows how long it had been sitting there for. There's a large variety of foods (mainly hot pot food as expected) and a few hot foods such as noodles and rice. There's also snacks like fried food, drinks, dessert, and a sauce bar. At $58 pp it's not too bad to visit once, if you come on an empty stomach.

Went here for dinner.. expect nothing much than a udual hotpot buffet buuutt i was blown away by the freshness and the number of selections this place has to offer! They got plenty of seafood including blue swimmer crab and scallops! They also serve cooked meal as sides and the good thing is you can pick ur own broth!

The service is excellent. The staffs are very polite and friendly.. we really feel welcome. The place itself is very spacious and clean. You can really tell the amount of effort they put there, even the toilet sparkles ✨.

Would recommend it and i think for the price $58/pp its so worthed!

this place is one of the best i’ve been to. it’s a bit pricey, however it is worth trying once in a while.

service - 4.5/5
i’ve been here a couple of times and every time i’ve been here the service is consistently great. the people at the register greets you with a warming smile and leads you right into the buffet to assign you a seat. once you have chosen your hot pot base, they prepare the temperature and pour soup into your hot pot while you grab whatever you want to eat.

taste - 5/5
they provide a variety of sauces you can choose from which you can mix to suit your tastings. they have a wide range of food including fish, crab, scallion, wagyu, beef, pork etc. which you just place into your pot and eat when ready. they also have unlimited sodas and other drinks provided.

look and feel - 5/5
the buffet is extremely clean and bright. i always feel comfortable being there as there is a lot of space in the buffet as well as comfortable seats. it feels very luxurious being in the buffet and i would highly recommend it!!

Dinner Review ($58)

Food: 4.5/5
Food was of a surprisingly decent quality for a buffet. Huge variety of seafood and hotpot favourites.

Seafood and Meats tasted alright - not amazing but still good value for money. Fish Balls and other processed guilty pleasures were quite good, better than what you get at other Hotpot Buffet/Malatang places. Mushrooms and other vegetarian options were good. Noodle options were average.

Soup bases were alright. You can choose to go half & half. The dipping sauces were average in quality but that's not a big deal. There was a large variety of soups (~5) and sauces (~10). They also had a hot food bar with dumplings, skewers and fried meat & snacks.

Drinks and deserts were widely available and are much better than what you can find at other places. Highlights include: Calpis, Herbal Tea, Juices, Froyo, Jelly Cups, Zooper Doopers.

Service: 4/5
It's a buffet. What can I say? The servers were prompt to refill our individual hotpots, remove used plates and empty the table bin. Staff were friendly. Bathroom was clean.

Ambience: 4/5
Large restaurant with many tables but it doesn't feel crowded. Soft lighting. Tables are marble with individual convention tops to heat your own hotpot, there are also different heat settings so you can cook at your own pace. Benches were prone to moving as they are not made of a heavy material.

Legend Hotpot Buffet is one of the fanciest hotpot restaurants I’ve seen in Sydney, you need to pre-purchase the meal at the front counter, and then enter & exit via security gates to access the buffet area. They have an impressive variety of food, beverages (alcohol at extra cost) & dessert @ $48 during lunch and $58 during dinner. It’s fun to watch the look on the wait staff’s face when I keep going back for more servings hehe.

One of the best buffet hotpot in Sydney. All self served, but service will come quite often to fill up the soup for you. Lots of choice of meat, seafood and vegetables. Also $58 includes drinks... (not alcohol)!

ALL YOU CAN EAT AND DRINK!!!

Very clean, modern, nice and bright place.

Good value for money during lunch. Each person gets an individual pot for themselves with seasoning prepared and ready to go. Good service, waiters/waitresses fill your pots with hot broth.

Each table houses up to 5 electric stoves integrated with the table for each person. Definitely a place worth revisiting and re-eating, especially during winter OMG cannot wait till then :D Pots ranges from Plain, Mild, and Very Spicy.

Reception Service is so awesome got an Ultraviolet stamp :D SO EXCITING!!! Definitely give this place a go, easy access, easy feed. Thank You!!!

went here for my birthday where you can get a 5% discount on your entire group when showing valid id. the soup choices were limited. however, the choices from the selection bar were plentiful ranging from seafood to meats to vegetables. i would of preferred it if the selections had names on them so customers can know what they were selecting as alot of the time i was unsure on what food i had put on my dish. a wider selection of vegetables would of been better. there was a great variety of sauces which made the meal even more delicious!

Arrived here after 1 hours later than the dinner started hours. Not so many people lining maybe the grand opening discount week is gone. The price is $58(it's okay for me because two people normally we ordered around $100 in other non-buffet hot pot spots. You can have various choices from the selection bar with food and soup bases. It's a good choice for anyone who wants to have everything in a little try. The atmosphere here is bright and high-class. Perhaps better come with maximum 4pp any larger group might be better to choose a non-buffet spot

Arrived around 6pm on a Saturday evening, already queuing up at the door. Waited 1 hr to get in, I recommend to book in advance. Fortunately the long wait was all worth it, food was fresh with great varieties.

You get to cook the food in your own personal pot, which is placed directly on the table, like those induction cooktop, so neat. 👍🏻

Apart from raw ingredients, they also have a hot food station. Quite a wide selection of food to choose from and they were all tasty. There were a few choices of soup base to choose from, such as spicy Sichuan style, fish, herbal and tomato etc. The sauce bar has also a great range of sauces you can mix your own.

Staff was attentive to top up your soup. They also have a self-serve drink dispenser for bottomless drinks, including the most popular sweet plum juice for steamboat. 😃 The only negative feedback I give them is the price, they have just finished their opening special, lunch is now charge $48 pp and dinner is $58 pp. There’s a 2hr limit. Although I enjoyed the food but I won’t return until they drop the price down. 😗
