Review Palm Breeze Cafe - Burwood

Booked for Mother's Day lunch. Came in it was quiet empty. I was afraid that it was going to be a disappointing meals for Mother's Day.... But, my family and I were please with the entree & main meals we had at The Four Casual Dining. The for serving was generous, fresh and delicious! Mozzarella cheese sticks was gooood! The Lobster Rosa Fettuccini was flavorsome. Grilled Burramundi was fresh. Although the skin wasn't cook to make it as crispy. Chicken Fajita & mighty chicken burger was demolished by my son's. Bolognaise spaghetti happily filled my daughter's stomach. The customer service was better than average. We were served by a young waiter. The owner was in the restaurant and he ensured that the customers were served appropriately. The meals came not too long, the price was competitive. The Wife was happy and so am I. The only thing I didn't like was the toilets. It was dirty and run down. I know I know.

Overall food was decent. I would give 4/5 or even 5/5 if it wasn't for the fact that each dish we had was so salty that I proceeded to down 2L of water in the next hour and continued tasting salt for another few hours. Also the overuse of straws in every drink that was ordered (including table water), for our table and other tables next to us! The entree Dips dish had great dips which were hummus, olive and oil+sesame. BUT the bread, though crunchy and freshly cooked, was coated in salty herb seasoning. Which was passable as an entree. With hope that the mains were not as salty... Our mains were the Chilli Prawns and Chicken Fajitas. The chicken fajitas were okay! Good serving size paired with guacamole, salsa and store-bought shredded cheese. Along with chips The chilli prawns I had high hopes for but was disappointing. I can taste some of the spices used but the sheer amount of salt just overpowered the entire dish. And sadly could not finish it...

My experience in the restaurant was beautiful Pizza 5/10 Pasta and risotto 10/10 Nachos 4/10 and the food came quickly and the staff is very nice

This place is usually always busy and we usually walk past but decided to give it a try. We were seated immediately and found the service for the rest of the night pretty good. Initially the price was pretty intimidating as they were pretty steep but they did somewhat back it up with quality and quantity. May come back to try other items on the menu.

Food wise I would rate it4/5. Been here 4x , there foods never disappoints us. Perhaps put alil bitmore effort on the table, plates, cutlery etc.. it's just too food courtly style, some cups are lil dirty and the bottle water.

We have just had some extremely delicious food at The Four Casual Dining. The sizzling beef schwarma is amazing. It has a wonderful flavour. The serving sizes are large, so the meals can be shared. There is a great selection of drinks and the iced coffee is very good.

Unfortunately not a single vegan option available, yet thankfully was able to remove chicken from the quinoa tabouli meal, which was still really delicious. There are rice, chips and steamed veggies as sides however definitely not the same as having at least one vegan labelled option/meal. All in all the portion sizes were very generous and the staff were nice & accommodating.

Initially a little pricey, but great value for money. Would happily return. Delicious food and and well flavoured. I had the chicken shawarma, pumpkin soup for entree and the buffalo cheese. Good coffee to finish.

Food was extremely salty which was a shame...I ordered scallop for entree and barramundi for main...I didn't finish half of them...ordered coffee and tea and waited 20mins for them...definitely had better food and dining experience else where.

There were plenty of wait staff milling around, and it was not busy at the time our group of 6 came, but it was hard to get served. We were waiting for one of our group to arrive and had not yet ordered anything but they did not even offer water for the table, we had to ask for it. After a long wait, we politely asked again (they had forgotten) and it still took a long time to come. When the food was ordered it came quickly. So quickly I suspect it was pre-prepared & microwaved. The quality was average and too oily/saucy. It was expensive for what it was - over-large serves don't make up for poor quality. Clean, modern decor but the hard surfaces made it noisy. Poor service, average food, un-relaxing ambience.

This place is located 200 metres down Burwood station, it has a huge menu. When I say huge, I mean it, they haven't added their dessert menu on Zomato, that's another huge book. It's an averagely priced Italian restaurant. I ordered the VEGETARIAN PIZZA, which was enough to fill two people. I had the whole pizza by myself, I did not have place to order the desserts but I'm waiting to go back there and change my rating from 4.5 to a 5.

A great local business offering excellent service with consistently good quality food. We always get the chicken with mushroom sauce and its a 10 out of 10! I highly recommend this place.

nice interior, service was ok. menu is quite large. portions are pretty big and the pricing is reasonable. i wanted the entre nachos with my order but saw the portion size from another customer and knew i would definitely not be able to finish it. my only complaint is that my prawn salad was drenched in sauce, otherwise my other order a pasta, was tasty.

Over priced and overpriced <br/>For a restaurant in burwood it was disappointing to see the menu and see it prices like a fine dining restaurant when in fact it's equal to pub food <br/>- asked for purée potatoes instead of fries and waiter looked like I had asked him for gold And said 'we only have mash' <br/>Lack the understanding that good service is key in a restaurant business <br/>Wouldn't go back or recommend it

Mixed Seafood Plate, $30. Grilled Salmon, grilled Barrramundi, octopus, calamari and prawns with salad and chips/mash. My favorite part of a fish to eat is the tail and lucky me i got just that! The barramundi was cooked just right, not overcooked and still very firm and juicy. An entire plate of yummy goodness with heaps of octopus and my favorite fish body part! The octopus was seasoned lightly and cooked until perfectly tender, the calamari was a bit tough and needed extra chewing but the texture was still very enjoyable. The salmon was a bit disappointing as it was overcooked (should’ve specified it to be medium) so it was a bit on the dry side, but no biggie because everything else was going good. The prawns were absolutely delicious, they weren’t soggy at all and seemed pretty fresh. The only disappointing part was that i only got 3 pieces of prawn, I’m such a greedy fatty i needed more!! I decided to taste their Scotch Fillet and Ribs combo. I was fully aware that by doing this, I was ready to directly compare the café with household names like Kelly’s and Hurricane’s. I pictured the combo would be of similar size of Hurricane’s because other steaks that went past me were huge. However when it came, the steak and ribs were tiny. I only got a rack of lamb ribs and a very tiny slice of Scotch Fillet.

We came back later at night for dessert and by then it was 9pm and packed with people! We squished back into a booth and drooled over the extensive list of dessert options in front of us.

Although this penne had a cream sauce like the risotto, it was much lighter. The sauce just formed a generous glaze over the penne without overwhelming the mix of ingredients.

Never in my life have I heard of being charge to take a sauce of a burger!!! I had been here many many times over the years with my girlfriends and everything has been great until tonight when I went with my husband to have a quick bite to eat. I ordered the chicken parmigania but instead of chips I ordered mash- $2.50 extra for the same food just cooked differently then my husband ordered a burger without, yes WITHOUT mayo and mustard- $2.50 to take a sauce off a burger !!! Ridiculous if u ask me and I know it's not much but it's principle. There guy who served us was quite rude too. Next they will charging you to use there toilets. Will not be returning there again which is unfortunate because the food is yummy

Amazing Food. My favourite restaurant! I am here at least once every week. Great food, great service, food comes quick and great tasting dishes. Favourite dish is the chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce, everyone must try this - it is amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant for a nice night out with friends or your partner.

Crap Service. Ate at Palm Breeze on Sunday night due to the recommendations I saw on the place, nice place, staff were great except the guy who we paid our bill to, my partner order the veal with prawns, it was tough, over cooked and had grizzle, pretty disappointing, called the wait staff over a number of times but they never came, would have told them, my partner left most of the veal to waste<br/><br/>When we got to the counter to pay the bill, I advised the guy who said I should have told him earlier, explained I tried and he said he would deduct 10%, wow, 10% for a meal that we couldn't eat, then he was rude about it all<br/><br/>Won't be going back there again unfortunately

Two words.. the best!

I have dined here often with the girls - they make such awesome mango daiquiris here! Food is food, of not slightly expensive, but the portions are huge. Great staff and convenient location. Would come here again.
