Review Yatai Ozeki - Burwood

霞川
The potatoes and carrots in the curry weren’t even peeled, the donburi was completely cold and very salty. Even the rice. Terrible service too. I got called to get my food and I stood there to give the buzzer back but no one came. Anyways think twice before coming here. I want the staff to actually look at the reviews here and optimise their services and food preparation please. Is it not common sense to check the reputation for your own benefit? Please check them.

Great value for money Japanese, fast service, has seating on-site but can get busy at peak hour. They have recently adjusted their operating hours so be sure to check if they're open as they were closing during one visit.

Quick and easy Japanese food. Price is cheap and portions are great. Food tasted nice, only constructive feedback we found was tables needed to be wiped down as they were sticky and dirty.

Had a few lunches here as I work in the centre. First dish I tried was one of the curries, unfortunately it's a little salty. The don bowls were the next one's I tried and they are amazing. Great value for money and they are packed with rice, noodles, salad and your protein. Service is quick too so you're not standing around too long waiting.

Good, quick Japanese food. Good price too. Current displayed trading hours on Google is incorrect though.

This is the place where you get hot, tasty and extremely affordable Japanese food! Absolutely love it!

Extremely good menu for a cheap price. My friends and I when we visit spend no more than $12 a person and this includes a drink. Overall I’ve been back several times even by myself and I still find it such a nice and inviting place to visit.

2.5/5

The menu from Yatai Ozeki was so inviting, and the options made it so hard for us to decide on our lunch. With $13, you can get a donburi (rice bowl) with mini udon soup, a choice of either kimchi/ seaweed and a drink! With that kind of price, of course the quality won’t be the best but I guess it’s affordable for younger people especially students.

I got the chicken katsu with rice- chicken was a bit over cooked. I suspect they fried it beforehand and would re-fry when the customers ordered. The Japanese curry with beef was a bit on a sweeter side. It’s a Japanese fast food chain fusion with Korean, and believe it or not, I mostly enjoyed eating their kimchi.

It’s pretty cheap and pretty good - one of my go to cheap eats. I wasn’t too fond of the chicken katsu rice to begin with due to its appearance, but the it tasted well and was flavoursome. My favourite from Yatai Ozeki is the sweet potato noodle despite it being a side, it taste good and is worth its value.

The udon is hot but the don is cold and what make me rating them one star is because of the bad services. The cashier servicing everyone badly without smiling, never visit again.

Yatai Ozeki is a fun experience with plenty of food options. The meal deals are cheap but the excitement went from there. The salad tasted cheap (highlight was there were salmon pieces), karage wasn’t my favourite (I’ve had better) and their noodles were very oily. If you want a quick bite and experience a different taste of Japanese food then check this place out!

Not bad Japanese food court food, the potato noodles and chicken katsu curry is to a good standard but portion size is a little small. Seems like plenty of options

They have quite an extensive menu . It’s a meal deal of salad, udon and sweet pork rice . Though it feels like value for money , the udon dish is too oily , the salad items looks like a ripoff, chucking in some greeens and some tiny cold protein is not worth it , also the rice and pork was rather stale and not fresh . I can only comment on what I had , maybe they had an off day .

Good price. Small serve. Good snack choices. Convenient location just outside coles. However I did find a bug inside the salad though... overall taste wasn’t too bad.

Japanese with Korean fusion, you can see from the menu.
I tried crab salad with spicy dressing.
Nothing much inside debut all ingredients that I love, edamame, corn, soft shell crab, and sitting on bed of crisp mesclun leaves.
Portion wise a little tiny, I guess because of the price of soft shell crab. But over all it was so good.

Great food , good portion , awesome friendly stuff , love the ambience blaring kpop music , probably the best place to est in Westfield Burwood.

Finally dont have to trek it all the way to the city for affordable japanese. $5.90 for ontama udon is such good value. Lots of flavoured broth, seaweed and a perfectly cooked soft boiled egg. The udon noodles didnt have the same bite compared to mappen but still good! Standard service with a buzzer. Definitely come again if in the area.
