Review Lovin' Lamb - Burwood

The lamb skewers are amazing. The skewers are cooked over charcoal with a good ratio of juicy lamb meat and fat. I love how you can also chose your spice level. Note this place is cash only.

Incredibly delicious lamb skewers. Worth the 15 minute wait.

I think this shop need a Number Display Board as they don't have dine-in anymore during covid but they keep screaming inside about the numbers when people stay outside of the shop to wait for their foods. Also the skinny old man have bad attitude all the time I get there, can't understand what he said then he start getting angry. Price is not cheap but taste good.

Love the lamb skewers here!! So tasty but definitely makes you thirsty afterwards. Would be good if they accepted EFTPOS. Prices have risen since they first opened.

We went to try the lamb skewers. We order lamb and beef tendon but sadly all the skewers had smell of fuel coming out of it . You could taste the fire starter from the lamb and beef very very disappointing.

Never disappoints! We always go to Burwood just for their lamb skewers. Minimum order of 5 skewers at around $15. Can only pay in cash which is a little inconvenient.

The aroma of lamb skewers from the outside of the store draws you in to try some, it is cash only so don't forget to bring cash, there's abit of a wait but the wait is so worth it. this places makes my mouth drool from the smell of spices and lamb skewers cooking over the hot coal. These skewers taste delicious charcoal flavoured signature lamb skewers. Definitely worth a try!

Continuing my #burwoodchinatown eats segment. Lovin Lamb is the best lamb skewers in town. The perfect ratio of lamb to fat. It melts in your mouth. The line looks daunting if you come at a busy time, but it moves fast and is totally worth the wait. @sydneyfoodieeats @food__gallery.ig #sydneyfood #sydneyeats #lamb #chinesefood #chinatown #foodie #foodiesofinstagram #foodstagram #willtravelforfood #livingmybestlife

I may have gone on a #foodcrawl around #Burwood šŸ¤Ŗ I always walk past Lovinā€™ Lamb and smelt the beautiful aroma of these skewers so this time I had to make a stop and try some! I ordered little spicy which was perfect for me since Iā€™m not that great with chilli šŸŒ¶ but I did get a taste of the ā€˜hotā€™ skewers and SISSSSSS THEY ARENā€™T FOR THE FAINT HEARTED

Lovin Lamb is a must for lamb lovers! Their signature fatty lamb skewer sticks are to die for! Theyā€™re grilled over charcoal and seasoned with salt and cumin. You get the amazing smokey flavour with every bite but I find they donā€™t put enough salt! So we always ask for extra to bring more of the flavour out šŸ˜‹

As a snack this is quite nice! Great flavour I had the original lamb skewers. And the great thing they do is putting in it a takeaway cup for easy storage and carry.

Perfect amount of lamb meat and fat bbq over charcoal hard to resist. Although abit pricey and funny how they charge more for less fat and more meat?

The skewers were precooked and only been put on the heat for few seconds for our case. The fat has not been rendered because of that. Flavours of the lamb meat were so so. Service is the worst. would not come back.

Great lamb skewers with spicy flavours. Line looks long but moves pretty quickly. Note that the standard lamb skewer contains a chunk of fat so you need to be ok with that, otherwise order the one with less fat. A bit pricy for the amount of meat but the flavour is so yummy

The best lamb! A strong 4. Super tender, banging with flavour and fairly good value considering the quality. Takes a long while to cook however worth the wait just order double haha

Lamb skewers are cooked straight on a coal. 5 skewers for $11.80. Really nice flavour especially the fatty portions. Alongside cumin it has a nice charcoal and salted flavour, this place can get pretty crowded and the wait time is long ~20min +

You can choose either fatty or lean with your Lamb! I didn't know this ..... Lean cost more because they add more meat. The smell will lure you and they meat will satisfy you.

Succulent lamb cooked over a steaming grill, topped with a perfect amount of spices - I mean how can you go wrong? Perfect takeaway - the meat is served on skewers in a cup - no messy fingers but finger-licking good food. Iā€™ll definitely be back.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
For a sleepy Sunday night, Burwood sure is alive with people. Burwood Road has the same vibrancy and colour once associated with Kings Cross, before the NSW Liberal Government got their greedy mitts onto it. As I walk along the streets of Burwood taking in the lively collection of hawker-style food outlets and throngs of people, I feel bereft that they were able to kill off the Cross' equally vibrant nighttime economy to line the pockets of their rich, property developer mates. Anger soon turns to hunger and I notice every second person seems to be carrying a cup full of sticks that reeks of charcoal cooking. Lovinā€™ Lamb, a few doors down from the Burwood Chinatown development I have been frequenting, has a throng of people outside it gathered on the pavement. As the name suggests, sheep meat is the storeā€™s main agenda, though they also make ox-tendon skewers and a plum tea. While this street-food dish has...

Came at like the worst time (sat evening). This small shop had 10 or so people but because its small and very few stools, alot of people had to stand. It took like 15-20 mins for my order to be called out. 2 lamb sticks for $5. Five dollur for miniature meat. No hate but thats steep man. Aint complaining about the quality, loved the fat segments between. This is once in a while food or else youll get a hole in your wallet.

Very authentic taste of Chinese lamb bbq. They open from 11 to 11, always there when u just need a snack šŸ˜„ however the size of the lamb cutlet is getting smaller from the first time Iā€™ve tried about a year ago.

Yum!! Lovin Lamb is a small shop located on Burwood Rd near the plaza. I've walked past it a couple of times and the lamb on the open grill always smells amazing. I order 5 lamb skewers for $10 and had the option to add varying degrees of chilli, I like spicy food so I asked for extra. The lamb was cooked fresh and took less than 5 mins for my order. The skewers are not massive but the lamb is juicy and packed full of flavour with a perfect hit of chilli.

I initially really enjoyed these skewers but eventually I noticed that they are not as great as they seem. The skewers don't have much flavour and there is a minimal amount of lamb on each skewer and are very oily/fatty. They definitely taste better/same price at Xi Bay or Charcoal Fish on the same road.

The setting of the shop is almost straight out of China! But inside a building not on a pavement. $10 for 5 lamb skewers you can't go wrong for value. But to be honest, there are better lamb skewers out there in Sydney. Never tried the tendon skewers unfortunately. But cheap, quick and authentic setting (there's no seats and tables!) You can't go wrong!

A small shop, based on the higher side of burwood station. It's clean, efficient, staff are courteous & a good snack. Menu is simply lamb Korean style. Was a bit fatty for my liking but everone is different. Can have different style of heat I chose mild as I'm not a spicy fan, and it wasn't really mild at all more like tamed. Maybe next time I'll opt for hot!

No really seating only just stools as you wait for your lamb. No real wait waited 5 mins as you can see them cook the lamb in front of you.

Would reckoned it if your a bit peckish but don't think it will fill you, a bit like 5 star hot chicken, food on the run.
