Review Sumo Salad - Burwood

I am not a salad person, however I actually enjoyed their salads! I was shook!! Lovely fresh salad, a good mix of vegetables and chicken, and alot more flavour than I was expecting. The dressings are really tasty, I am happy they don't drown the salad in dressing. Service was fast and friendly, great experience!

Bought a salad in the morning before the lunch rush, chicken pesto salad and another salad. Was drenched in oil or dressing. 8 hours later in here sitting in emergency nursing a 2 year old and myself with food poisoning. Don't risk it. Don't eat here

Try avoid being serve by an Asian skinny small figure man or guy probably a young store owner. he will serve your with smaller portion than others members in this shop. Might only worth dine here in midday. There are fresher salad you can eat most place or go to different sumo if you love this franchise meal

The service was attentive as the staff were ready to serve you as near the front. The salads itself were pretty tasty and seemed fresh, and also for a reasonable price.

Good most of the time, but the salmon salads got very salty recently, incl. the Japanese one and the pepper one.

I find it hard to rate these places. Some of it is tasteless (beetroot) or salty (salmon) or just right (cauliflower) and I had there watermelon drink which was sweet and didn’t really taste like watermelon πŸ‰

I always liked their salads and it was impossible for me to resist when I visited this takeaway! Chicken penne salad is delicious with that creamy texture...their servings are always generous. I find them a bit expensive for πŸ₯— but it’s all right!

This outlet is located in Westfield Burwood food court. There was a selection of salads that tempted me as it was a hot day and felt like something lighter and not hot. Service here is friendly. There is a choice of ready made salads as well as make your own.

I went with Chicken Caesar Salad & Sesame Crumbed Chicken Salad. Both were fresh and had a great flavour and crunch to them. The caesar salad was the traditional kind but no
anchovies which suited me fine. The crumbed chicken salad had a lovely honey mustard dressing and I liked the lentils in it too.

I wasn't really much of a salad eater, back in the day; until I realised that there's more to salads than leaves and raw vegetables.

Yeah, sumo salad is on the pricey side- especially for people that don't get full easily (like myself). But you know that they're salads are packed with flavour and quality.
