Review Sidness Cafe - Burwood

A great hangout place in the evening. Good food, friendly staff. Argileh available in outdoor seating area. Halal options available. There’s also 2 hour free parking at Westfield Burwood.

Visited in April this year, we went there for drinks and shisha/hookah. The service was very poor. Took ages to get someone's attention and the wine took a long time to be served too. Food and hookah was okay. Definitely need to work on improving their service.

Great location. Great food and tons of it. Service is good but could benefit from wait staff writing down orders than trying to memorise. New owners. No alcohol. Halal.

This place use to be amazing for food portions, with very average to plain service. They have now cut down the portion sizes dramatically so they no longer have that going for them, which brings my review down to quite an average okay experience. I'll be giving somewhere else a go next time.

Overly priced pathetic food. I ordered a Salmon Benedict and all I got was the thinnest possible slice of salmon ,2 poorly poached eggs and a whole bottle of hollandaise sauce poured over my meal! I paid $20 for this JOKE! Had a few friends with me and we all HATED the food! DISGRACFUL. Never going back ever again!

Tried to order from here - received a text after ordering that my order could not be completed, no reason provided, with half an hour before closing time. A phone call with an actual reason would have been nice, but receiving my food would have been nicer still.

The food was shocking.. once deliverd was stone Cold, orderd what I thought was a large souvlaki plate and salad to only get 2, one chicken and one lamb couldn't taste the difference between the two. This place is defiantly not worth the money for the food portions.. I don't recommend ordering from here.

A wonderful spot to drink your coffee in peace. It would be even perfect if they had more breakfast options in the menu. However, the guys inside are great and the coffee is delicious.

Such an asshole service.. the staffs so rude.. pls re-train again those of ur stuffs.. especially the old lady like Indian woman wear white shirt.. (work at night shift on weekend TODAY) she’s so rude.. we’re 4 ppls order 2 shisha and 3 drinks.. and we have request 2 glass of tap water.. the staff said no we must order drinks base on the menu.. and they’re no more extra glass for tap water.. WTF.. I won’t come again.. and u guys don’t come here too.!!!!

Have been going to Sidness Cafe for a very long time I think maybe about 10years. Great food and service.

Ordered frape it was a watered down milkshake food wasn't nice at all it's a shame a few years back it was the best now terrible Asian waiter was rushing around and yelling all night verry disappointed

The food was good, they had quick service. I've come back multiple times and will be back again

Very bad customer service, had a hair in my plate, called the manger he explained that it could be from anywhere!!! I asked for a water, I had one cup tape water for three of us to share... absolutely rubbish and discussing!!! never back again

Ordered lemon crush. Got a can of solo �� they rape ya on the price too. Ok if it was a special can of solo from the future then ok but it was almost kinda flat. Plus the food there is just frozen....

Ordered the rib eye steak with veges and mash with peper sauce. The sauce was absolutely disgusting tasted like prison food (probably) was so salty could not even swallow it. Strawberry smoothie was just wrong. The service was terrible

What appalling service. Being pressured to order in 4 minutes because "it's going to get busy soon". Then being told "I walked over to your table this many times to only order chips".. Absolutely disgusting, won't be back!

Very very disappointed and unimpressed. The workers and another customer were casually making racial and derogatory comments while we were waiting for our meals. Mind you, we were the only diners at the time and we could hear the entire conversation. It was disrespectful and up right disgusting that we had to pay for our meals to be cancelled so that we could leave.

The quality of food has significantly dropped over the last years and this place is offering nothing but large quantities of the dish. I ordered the Seafood Mixed Grill and I couldn't work out what I was eating as everything tasted the same. The prawns had no crunch and were rather mushy suggesting they've been calmly sitting int he freezer hoping to be cooked for all too long.<br/>There were copious amounts of chips and everything else in between was just token seafood for the sake of appeasing the visual senses.<br/>If you want a large plate of tasteless 'nothing' just to fulfill your appetite, this place offers nothing in return.

Partner ordered a breakfast dish with the lot. I ordered a freshly squeezed Lemon & Mint juice.<br/>This particular cafe is also owned with the same partnership as George's Cafe across the road, it holds a great family spirit.<br/>As remembered from my experience years ago with this cafe, to describe the food portions as 'generous' is a pleasant understatement.<br/>The quality of the food was very tasty, all foods were flavoursome and cooked well to a standard that's considered for an enjoyable experience.<br/>The Lemon & Mint beverage was refreshing as I've remembered it. I highly recommend this drink for those who aren't favorable with extremely sweet drinks. Unfortunately I've forgotten to snap a picture of the drink and dived straight into it!<br/><br/>

Probably the best coffee you will find on Burwood Rd. One of the last cafes you can sit and have a smoke and a coffee at after dinner. Worth coming down.

This a front for something dodgy. Service is poop's and over priced smokey place nothing special with food not appetising. Can do better ...<br/>

Interesting café. Probably the first I've been to that has signs everywhere saying "NO EATING"! Admittedly I was sitting outside goggling at all the shish action, where a totally random looking selection of people were puffing away on very exotic looking pipes. Not being a smoker I contented myself with a latte, which was actually pretty good. Worth a visit for the cultural experience.

very very expensive even more than city or bondi cafes ! service can be voted as the worst in Australia, waitress have zero welcome attitude, no cleaning and completely Apathetic. don't go there !

Can't say anything good about this cafe. Everything tasted wrong.

Avoid. Apathetic waiters, low quality argileh, expensive, very poor service.<br/><br/>Also: If you are seated outside at night expect to be disturbed by the sound of wankers revving the tits of their cars up and down doing mainies....<br/><br/>Some how this place is still busy though...

Very overpriced food. Sidnees offeres food as well as argileh and its food should be avoided unless everything else in Burwood is closed. Ordered the African Chicken and what was described as chicken with African spices turned out to be exactly like butter chicken sauce i buy from the supermarket with the only difference here at Sidnees Cafe was that it cost $30. And butter chicken isn't even African. It wouldn't surprise me if they were using the exact same sauces in the kitchen. Service was nothing special. With some dishes on the menu, you are given the choice of either chips and vegetables or salad to accompany your meal. I was here with five others, half of my friends stated which option they wanted when they ordered. The waiter did not ask the rest of us what option we would like and those who didn't state what optioned they wanted were just given the salad. I thought this was very unattentive and very unproffesional. All around the table everyone agreed that food was very average and overpriced. I do not plan on returning here for their food ever again.

Lovely atmospheric place for an arguileh! Highly recommend the grape and mint with fresh apple.

Burwood Local. Great portions! busy atmosphere fitting for a night out with the girls!

Have visited Sidnees a few times now, and the service is great, but the food is average and pricey !

Below average! And pricy! Chicken souvlaki was the worst I've ever had! Factory made oily tasteless skewers!<br/>Not returning here!!!

Worst service I have ever seen! Extremely untrained and unprofessional staff. Worst service, unwelcoming, below average food and gross coffee. <br/>Had 3 different wait staff claim to be the owner/manager when asked who to speak to about a range of issues we had with the place.. Sort it out- its not that hard!

Service is very bad although one waitress was very friendly. The other workers were very rude and not helpful at all.

Fantastic with regulars! Amazing food and great value for the massive portion you get! Yummmmmiest Hubbly-bubbly!
