This is my first time visiting TimHoWan after my husband told me that this is an awarded restaurant. The food is very good and I love many of them a lot such as Baked Buns with BBQ pork, prawn dumplings and current specials–prawn filling wrapped with beetroot & wasabi tobiko topping.
Great dumplings and quick service. Brought my cousins from USA here for lunch and was easy to sit together and share food. Would be great if the menu was a bit longer would be only comment.
Second time been here, service this time was better than first time. Food is good, pretty consistent from first time. Abit on the pricier side.
Nice food and good service! The monthly special menu is worth a try! Highly recommend the Tom Yum Goong Prawn Dumpling, very appetitive for the hot summer!
The location is easily accessible. The restaurant is quite spacious. Table set up is good and provides a lot of privacy. However, the chairs need to be a bit formal so that the heavy weighted people can seat more properly and comfortably. Unfortunately I also noticed a number of tiny flies around.
Now it turns to food. The dishes are tiny relative to the other Chinese restaurants. Variety is confined and provides not much choices. Taste and quality are good except the Vermicelli roll with fried dough (zhaliang) in which the fried dough is stale and grease. It is totally unacceptable.
The Vermicelli roll with sesame sauce is fantastic and very well presented.

For the prices and portions I would expect it to be amazing but the ginger chicken rice was almost inedible and the tea tastes like dirty water?
Great food. Little bit more pricey than normal yumcha but excellent food. Worth a try. Spacious environment, not bad to take your kids along.

Great food and friendly staffs. Never disappointed. Try baked buns with bbq porks and Vermiceli, they are the best you can find at inner west suburbs.
Favorite dim sum place. I love the sesame rice ball with salted egg yolk, steamed egg cake, braised chicken feet, pan fried radish cakes and the home made barley water!

THW is a really modern Chinese family restaurant which serves an array of yum cha dishes.
We ordered the prawn dumplings, the mushroom dumplings, the scallop dumplings, and the fried noodles. It was a tad pricey. but everything was extremely delicious.
Service was also very good
I enjoy dining in Timhowan Burwood. The environment here is good. The service here is good and the food here is fantastic but just a bit less portion. I will come here again.
The restaurant at Burwood is spacious and I didn't have to wait in a queue. Good service and good food. I will recommend this to me friends.
Food came out quickly and was of high quality. Especially looked the baked bbq pork buns. Brought my parents, who very much enjoyed their meal.

Tim Ho Wan Burwood outpost is a good place to visit for a quick nice meal. There are always quite a number of people in the restaurant, but it is not as crazily busy as when we visited Chatswood when it was first opened in Australia.
The food taste good. not many people today so don't have to wait long. The waiters here is good. The taste is not bad, so I will come again next time

Very good food, and excellent service.if ur after a quick bite, best place to be. Especially the bbq pork bun, so crisp and juicy. And especially the tables are clean, which are quite different from other Chinese restaurants.
Third time being here but they have definitely improved. Food was very good, and came out very efficiently. A lot warmer and tastier! Would recommend if you were looking for some quick yet tasty food in Burwood :)

Seated our group of 7 quickly despite being busy and looked after the kids with plastic kids plates, cutlery and glasses, food was hot, fresh and tasty with plenty of variety, a little pricey compared to other locals but you got quality ($115 for 4 adults, 3 kids)

Have been here several times. The food is delicious, especially the steamed egg cake which is not like other cakes in Australia. Beancurd Skin with pork & shrimp is highly recommended too.
Nice food. Clean and comfy. We found the service to be quick. A little pricey for my liking but yum tends to be. No bathroom which was not good for the kids when they needed to go.

Nice all-day yumcha place...and highly consistency in taste. The staff always take orders enthusiastically and deliver good service. Have been to every branch in Sydney: Chatswood, Burwood and CBD, they all can be able to maintain their standards in food and friendly service. Good jobs! Definitely recommended
I think the food is awesome! The texture of the food is just right and the taste is irresistible. I particularly like the Prawn Dumplings. Every little bit of it is fantastic. However, it is a bit pricey.

Tried new food, the new prawn dumping and the puddings, both of them are delicious.Highly recommend the baked buns with BBQ pork. Only thing we not that like is size of the food not big enough.

One of our favorite places to eat, we come here about once every 2 weeks or so! Definitely can be difficult to get server's attention during busy times, but we tend to come early (before 6) or for lunch so no problems for me, wife, and kid. Overall service is about what we expect from an Asian yum cha place, if not a bit better than expected in relation to clearing our table after we finish each item. Food usually comes out pretty quickly. BBQ buns are amazing but MUCH sweeter than normal yum cha places. Prawn dumplings and siu mai are my son's favorites. Wifey loves spinach and prawn dumplings and tofu with pork floss (odd texture, but actually pretty nice combo of flavors!). We always get mango pomelo sago for dessert as well.
Very tasty! Especially the dunplings and fried toufu. Nonetheless, baked bun IS perfect, dont forget chicken feet, the meat IS fine but under the feet IS A kind of veg that IS nice!
For the first time coming at Tim Ho Wan the first impression was that it was clean and neat. The food is was really good with a variety to chose from. The service was very fast and the staff were very friendly.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants. They have such a plenty selection of food and everything is cooked to perfection. I love the BBQ Pork Bun. Its one of the best food I've ever tried.

My first time here was very very enjoyable. Depending on what you're budget is, it could be a little pricey, but I think it's worth the price. The staff is quick and the food is amazing. Some of the best Chinese food I've had. Must try.

Probably only 90% as good as other Tim Ho Wan locations, but the big plus is that there's fewer people here. Short to zero queues. That's a big plus when you're eating with kids and babies

This is the best I have ever eaten Hong Kong-style dim sum, delicious dumplings are not tired of fresh longan tea. Another waiter is also very professional.

Soar high Tim Ho Wan!
First visit to tim ho wan and it was happy with our visit. Served nice and quick which was perfect for our pre movie dinner. Stoked to get PM yum cha since I work weekends! Tasty yum cha overall and would go back
What l had - Pan-Fried radish cakes, Baked buns with BBQ Pork, Steamed Egg Cake.
My mon said l had too much on my own while l felt just enough.
These three dishes are highly recommended, especially the BBQ pork buns, which have crispy pastry. This BBQ pork buns are recommended by many friends. They said it is the best pork buns they've ever had.
I would say the radish cake doesn't surprise me in the way l want. It has the normal taste as it in other Yum Cha restaurants. But the steamed egg cake is what l really want! Soft texture, warm, light egg smell. Must have a try for this!❤️❤️

Loved the food! Authentic and beautiful dishes and very friendly service! We got the lychee iced tea which was amazing, also the jelly desert (osmanthus cake) was nothing like a cake but had dried flowers and i found it sensational and light. My most favorite were the bean curd dumplings. Definitely going back!

Fine and tasty Dim sum here. I am only reviewing the food. Been back many times and consistent quality. Recipes look similar to original in hk and are made to order. Authentic. Light touch, nothing greasy and beautiful food. Good timing, nothing overcooked, good textures and balanced flavours. Reasonable prices for the quality. Foodie friends agree. I eat a lot of dim sum places and find Tim ho wan special. I think we should be thankful to have an establishment like this in the heart of Burwood to give an opportunity to taste Michelin star style food. It is a reliable good eat, foodies need to support this place. I am glad the operators have stayed true to the original despite much local criticism. We will keep returning.
Well done dumplings and etc but a fairly limited menu. Very busy. The BBQ pork buns were interesting - baked sugary, crisp pastry instead of the normal soft doughy wrapping, and the sauce inside was a lot less rich and gooey than normal. The pork dumplings were good, but the skin was a bit tacky and the prawn filling a bit dense.
