Review Sushi Experience Burwood - Burwood

Trang Le
Another option for sushi train type in Sydney. I came in at around 5pm on a Friday and it wasn’t that busy. We got ourselves the seats on the belt table and started digging in. They have a range of sushi, nigiri and other hot foods available for order in the menu. Sushi is good but didn’t like the salmon that much. Seems a bit cold but at least there wasn’t any weird taste to it. Cheap price ranging from $3.5 to $9.0 per plate and we paid $30 for 2ppl which was quite nice.

K’s Sushi food is really nice. They don’t seem to have as many varieties on the train as they used to before like tempura or fried chicken however you can order these. They just celebrated 21 years in business so must be doing ok. Friendly staff and overall a nice family friendly place. Suggest you phone to reserve seats as the queue can be long at times.

The best Sushi in Burwood. Always fresh and always tastes amazing. We decided to get some Ramen as well today and it was fantastic. Service is quick and never waiting more than you should be

Interesting experience I had coming here. First time and probably the last time I'm coming here. The staff weren't welcoming whatsoever and the sushi train was probably the saddest sushi train experience I've ever had. There was barley any food on the sushi train only two types of sushi and not a good selection at all.

I've tried all the sushi trains in Sydney and I believe this one is the best overall. Excellent service, fresh sushi, reasonably priced and large portions.

Variety on sushi train was very poor. Sushi train mostly empty. Service was slow. Quality was poor. Sushi falling apart. Donburi meat flavour was nice. Won't dine here again.

I went there with my partner and I was quite disappointed about the meal. the environment is a bit dark and looks a bit dirty. we had a Teriyaki don and a spicy kara age don as a full sized meal but looks like so cheap and it doesn’t look like the price we have to pay for it. we haven’t tried eaten sushi there but I don’t think it is a good idea. I never come back again.

Loved the sushi here. The stuff were very friendly and easy going. The also cater gor halal food which is really good. My favourite will be the scallops they were amazing. Keep up the good work guys 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The sushi train didnt have much of a rang

Shocking service. Was practically ignored, couldn’t even get an order in. Waiter served other tables even though we politely beckoned and were there first.
The Sydney Tram
Inspire of the mouth watering menu, this sushi train restaurant has many disadvantages, namely sad ambiance, low food quality, and high pricing. Whilst many famous sushi train chains offer $3.50-$3.80/ plate (except for sashimi or special orders), KZ sushi decided to jack up the prices. I’m not going to pay $5.50 for 2 scallop nigiri that’s been sitting on the conveyor belt for a long time. Most food was not fresh.
We ordered the half rice bowls, tuna & chicken katsu. I love how diners can pick half portion, but again the taste was not great.
There hasn’t been any decent sushi train in Burwood
Anna
It was quite busy on a Sunday evening which was a good sign. Wasn't much variety on the train so had to order from the menu instead. Everything was tasty enough but not outstanding. Since Burwood is full of Chinese restaurants left right and centre, if you feel like Japanese this is one of the few options available but it's not half bad.

Food tastes nice, quickly seated, but the super jumbo eel sushi wasn't jumbo at all which was a bit disappointing.

Ive been to most sushi restaurants all over Sydney as I am a courier driver and sushi is always the most convenient for lunch. This place is my favourite and is always consistent. No idea how they have 2.5 stars on here... these people have no idea
Michelle
Would give this place a higher star, however staff hygiene needs serious improvement. Saw a staff member(waitress/waiter) sneeze into hands, which is fine, but hands were not washed and continued touching wasabi and ginger packets on sushi train. Not impressed. Infection control is crucial in food industry.
Used to come here quite often for sushi and don or ramen. Food is good, price is good. But won’t be here again.

Nice and fresh food. Really enjoyed the experience. Prices are very reasonable. Portion is good for both sharing and eating by yourself (half sizes dishes are available).

Sometimes it’s hard to say no to a friend. By means, my friend picked this place. This is the second visit in 5 yrs time and it’s still really really bad and no improvement at all. The sushi were awful and considered expensive compare to its quality. An seafood stick charges 4 dollars. Are you kidding? Had the chicken katsu as well, the skin falls right off and tasted like frozen chicken. I would not visit again even this is the last sushi place left on the planet 😤 made some effort took good quality of photos though.. (2nd review, first review ha d a rude hater and couldn’t get rid of the comment.)

I had the shoyu ramen and it was the most disguising thing I’ve ever eaten. They gave 2 pieces of pork and when I bit into them it was cold as if they didn’t even cooked them and came out of the fridge. The portion size was extremely small and only half filled, but makes sense why it was so small since it’s not even human food. Never go to this place.

K’s Sushi in Burwood is definitely a place to remember. Their sushi tastes so fresh and it’s full of flavour. It’s my second time at this joint and I must say the experience is truly worthwhile. Whether you want to eat sushi off a sushi train or try their amazing sushi platters, K’s sushi will leave you salivating for more!

We didn’t opt for the sushi train. Instead, we chose the À la carte Menu. Not too many vegan options as most the the menu is seafood sushi or meat based broths. I ordered the avocado and cucumber brown roll sushi, vegetables sushi and the agetashi tofu. Tofu was made fresh but a bit too greasy for me.
Emma
Great variety and reasonable prices as compared to many other sushi restaurants. I would definitely recommend the spicy salmon fry don, salmon & scallop Aburi sushi, and the agedashi tofu.

I am semi-obsessed with sushi trains. It is rare that I would opt to eat sushi not at a sushi train restaurant. There is a joy in being able to pick from a multitude of small plates of different sushi rolling past you on the train.

...

Great variety! At really decent prices with plates costing $3, $4 and $5 unless they are expensive/special dishes such as sashimi ($8.90). Everything tasted fresh though the sashimi could have been better possibly even from being fresher or from better knife work as the texture tasted like the fish had been over- handled. The best dish of the night though was the spicy salmon nigiri – the spicy sauce was a little different to others I’ve had at other Japanese restaurants and had a decent kick. We were lucky also to grab the grilled eel (unagi) nigiri whilst it was still warm – really fantastic eel!

For more - imhangry.net/2017/11/26/ks-sushi-burwood/

Don’t order the ramen. Probably the worst ramen you will ever eat. The sushi was okay but you can’t justify the price. Better off going to the food court and getting sushi there.

I bought 3 boxes take away of baby rolls with cooked tuna and I didn’t like them. The taste was acidic. My fiend said his food was ok, but when he tasted mine he agreed with me.

Yummy sashimi and sushi. I went there several times. I can recognise that the chefs are real Japanese and they know how to cook compare to other normal Japanese shops which run by Koreans ( they speak Korean inside).

This is our regular sushi place we go to, there's a reason why I keep going back, is so damn good!!
I've been going here for years and never left disappointed..

Average Japanese Restaurant. Miso Ramen is just ok, not tasty. Ayers Rock Chicken is juicy with chili mayo sauce on top, combined nicely with rice and cucumber. Really love it. Menu is quite standard with reasonable price.
Eatwithmyfoodsafari
It's been a while between visits and we had no trouble finding seating on this particular public holiday weekday.

Sit up at the sushi train or at one of the tables. You'll find the usual sushi train fare with plates ranging in price from $3 to $8.90. The tuna salad and chicken teriyaki sushi plates we had were fine. Service is polite.

Been to this restuarant many times, always satisfied with the food and service, rice is always fresh and the portions and prices are reasonable

I recall being here years ago during my high-school years and was a delight.
Going now, majority of the staff don't give the most welcoming vibe. The food is very average and small. Not too sure if things have changed here but it's certainly not a place to rave about sadly!

This place has terrible service. We waited for 30 minutes in a very quiet restaurant to order food. Several customers that came after us ordered and received their meals even before we ordered. We waved to staff members but none would come serve us. We were honestly so close to leaving the restaurant. To top it off... they forgot some of our order as well. Do not recommend this restaurant.

Have been here several times for lunch and I have to say it's not as good as it was in its old days as 'Sushi Train'. Even at lunch hours, this place is hardly ever fully seated.
Service is average as I find there are times where you find yourself struggling to grab the attention of staff to place orders etc.
Presentation of food is acceptable, although at times you find that it may look quite sloppy.
Also, very limited menu in terms of ramen, udon and don.
I paid a visit today with a friend and ordered the spicy salmon fry don as well as a nigiri dish. Taste was good, however I felt sick hours later, and threw up. I suspected the freshness of the seafood at this place. Overall, a horrible experience this time round so will not consider eating here again. There are better options for Japanese around the area that are more worthy of trying any day.

Sat there for 15 mins and there are no sushi or tuna on the moving train. However they offer a lot of wierd(for me) variety of sushi or whatever they call! Won't recommend to anyone really
Sal Eats Sydney
Standard sushi train with a la carte menu too. Pricing was not bad, we had a few plates of sushi rolls which were freshly made and ordered a half bowl of spicy karaage chicken and rice which was delicious. Staff were friendly too, good place for a quick bite to eat.
Sydneyguyrojoe
Pretty standard sushi train here, nothing really stood out but decent amount of options and prices are reasonable. Though this place has changed names over the years they have kept the same format which still draws in a decent crowd
I ordered more than five dishes, but no one is good. I lost my interest to take a picture for the foods…it is the not a good experience, the rice under the sushi was broken, the sashimi is not fresh enough…
not good, i won't come back again…

I ordered 2 takeaway rolls, the Sydney roll (seared salmon) and the spider roll. Service is friendly but slow, it took at least 15 minutes for my order to be made.
The seared salmon is quite peppery and a smaller portion than the spider roll. Both had very little fish roe.
The spider roll had generous soft shell crab but was quite salty.
Also as noted in another review that the sushi tasted oily, I was left with an oily aftertaste after eating the spider roll.
Wouldn't recommend this place as Hero sushi is just across the road in Westfield and tastes better.

UPDATE: Came back here and omg it was terrible, I got what I ordered last time as well as some other stuff and a large chicken katsu rice dish. Everything was drenched in oil! My rice was so oily I couldn't eat it, Was terrible. Barely any service we sat there for ages until we were able to grab a waitress' attention to take our order. They didn't give us any water after asking for some and the whole atmosphere was depressing maybe because it wasn't as packed as last time but still, the vibe was abit weird and awkward. Really disappointed since I really liked this place. Sad to say I won't be coming back.

---------------------------------------------------

I enjoyed my lunch here, we sat on the tables instead of the sushi train bench, the tofu was great, I'm not a big tofu fan but it was really tasty here. The sauce that it came with was abit too oily for me tho, but it was still very delicious. I would not recommend anyone getting the sashimi here...

Have been here a few times. Very average and a bit pricey. Asked the waitress for wasabi. Never got wasabi 😞 they told us when we first walked in that there would be a 15min wait on all orders and there were hardly any dishes on the train either. Bit off putting. Salmon sashimi was delicious, but nothing spectacular here.

The food and service is ok here. The workers didn't understand english and the sushi wasn't amazing. Ordered the egg and eel sushi for $9.80 - A bit pricey compared to other sushi places ive been. Don't recommend.
Brittney
Pretty disappointed - ordered the miso ramen, it tasted pretty bad, kind of like plain salty soup, that had been badly burnt and had been watered down to mask the taste. Worst Japanese soup I've ever had :( Unfortunately the waiter only offered me a bowl of water to add to the soup when I told him I didn't like the soup....
Ruth Kusionowicz
A small sushi train place that's nicely decorated inside and plenty of staff on-hand. The menu has a big range including sushi, rice dishes, udon, ramen and Japanese side dishes. The food was really yummy (the BBQ pork nigiri is to die for!) and all freshly cooked. And so cheap - I was stuffed on about $15!

Just a warning. If you go for the spicy dishes, they really are spicy! I like particularly hot food so it was fine for me, but it had a good kick to it.
Hushixin.stella
Worst sushi ever. Doesn't tell the price of the most expensive plate and tastes terrible :( all the food tastes bad except for salmon, :(((((((((((

First time went there tonight .. Tried the ramen with the pork bone soup . Disappointed with the ramen.. Wasn't much taste in the soup. tried a few sushi dish and it doesn't taste fresh ... However my bf tried the chicken with rice and he said the chicken is tasty ..

Couldn't resist snapping a photo of this extremely pretty volcano sushi dish we managed to nab on a sushi train. So much cream cheese!

A few weeks ago, before watching the funniest movie I have watched in a long time (The Hangover - so funny - you have to see it!), I had a quick bite at K's Sushi Experience. We walked along Burwood Rd to see what was available and we decided to try out t

Big fan of sushi. Its a great place for sushi lover. Not only they have all the usual traditional plates, and also they have a big variety of the westernised rolls. It's a valuabe and freshness sushi train restaurant.

Never come back again. Sushi are poorly made, not fresh. no where near the taste of authentic sushi. Rice is watery, the amount of vinegar to the rice was poorly measured. Not to mention the raw fish on top of the rice. Old fish smells bad and taste bad.
If_u_want_me_ill_b
Worst sushi place in Burwood. Extremely overpriced for the quality of sushi. The variety was incredibly limited and the sushi looked boring and stale as if they had been sitting there all day. My friends and I sat there for five minutes watching the food pass by as nothing was tempting to the eye at all. Very disappointed and will not be returning

Never come back again. Just need to remind those who like Japanese Ramen that it is not worth your money although it's not expensive.

Sushi Experience used to be a great place to go to, but after a few years the service and quality of the sushi has degraded. Now the sushi is overpriced, and the sushi isn't very good either. The service isn't as friendly as it used to be. The waitresses kept forgetting our orders and it wasn't even a busy time! I recommend it to those who don't really care about the quality of sushi and just happen to crave it and you're at the inner west.
Zippy
WTH! Went there at around 7 pm and it's almost full. There was NO food for diners! The belt was almost empty! Everyone's waiting for their orders! I ordered 5 dishes of sushi and then sat there staring at the empty belt circle and circle. 45 mins passed and I only got 4 dishes. Everyone in the restaurant was unhappy and hungry, and there were many waiting to be seated. hire better chefs! Your young apprentice chefs are idiots! I've been a loyal customer for 4 years but This is the end of my love to you.
Crap! Crap! Crap sushit.

Great choice. Love the brown rice :) Everything tastes really fresh

Best sushi in the inner west! Friendly staff, good variety and super fresh. The seared scallop nigiri is a must try.
Sugar Coat My Life
Best sushi !!. I've been a long time visitor to this Sushi place and i still love it. The service is great, everyone is nice and friendly. The sushi is amazing! Personal favourites are grilled scallop, salmon roll and BBQ eel. And they make the best karragge chicken !! They also regularly change the menu so you'll always find something new to try ! Definitely a great place for a casual lunch or dinner
Nimisha Tiss
This is probably the best sushi place I've been to! Haven't tried the sushi train but when eating in, you can order all the plates you want anyway. Burwood spicy roll, the volcano roll and the spicy karage chicken would be my picks. It will be my new regular for sushi! Yum!
Jojo
The best sushi in Sydney in my opinion. Favorites include the grilled scallop and grilled salmon.
