Review Chocolates Del Mondo - Burwood

Went this place last weekend. The Desserts and customer service were good. But, I was disappointed (specially in this cold evening) when I got the mocha, it was lukewarm. I was specific to the waitstaff to make my mocha extra hot, while ordering.

Ordered from uber eats, but got a half full hot chocolate and melted ice cream. No fault of uber eats, just poor service from the staff at this restaurant. Will not order from here again.

The staff were really lovely. After finishing my cranberry crush drink I then notice the top part of the glass cup was broken. Was pretty disappointed and frightening that I might of swallowed some glass. I spoken to one of the staff there, he had given me a full refund of that drink. Not sure if I have will be back after that experience.

The real good thing here is the Italian hot chocolate. For the rest nothing to do with Italian...really disappointing. Stuff is friendly and the place looks pretty clean, but here they allow smoking in front of the door and the smell is that comes inside or as you walk in is just disgusting, not sure this is legal in town; regular customers are not polite and do not care about non smokers (when we complained the mumbled something in a middle eastern language) and the owners allow the unhealthy and disgusting ritual of the SHISHA. A part for the chocolate and the other things we had, our experience was quite negative, I do not thing I will go there again, just not worth the trip

Had few desserts with friends here a couple weeks ago...it was pretty good unless the waiter didn't send us the wrong dessert which is supposed to be served for the table behind us. Lucky i didn't start eating it cause 1 minute after serving it, he came back and took it from our table.

Fantastic food at fantastic prices was better than any Oliver browns or San churros for a fraction of the price! Super pleased!

The owner is such a funny guy! Really charismatic and will have a chat with you. Shisha and food is alright, it is more expensive to make up for the time you sit there understandably so. Overall a nice place :)

A good place to have shisha, hot chocolate and waffle, especially on winter nights

Spanish churros were yum especially when coated with the melted milk chocolate. For the price I would've expected more pieces - 6 for $14.95. The churros themselves were a little underdone in the middle which gave them a starchy/potato-like texture. Despite this, I did enjoy the dish and would come back to try more of the menu.

If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my Zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!

Melted chocolate with fresh strawberries was nice with the hot chocolate.
It is slightly pricey for melted chocolate and strawberries but a nice dish to share with friends.
Would recommend and I would come back to try other dishes.

Nous avons pris une crêpes et une fondue pour deux vraiment excellent.

This places KNOWS Mochas, gotta get your coffee here. also the best place to study during the day.
the staff here are always friendly and caring. The daytime price for large coffees is JUST $3!!!! highly recommend

The encyclopaedic menu of desserts is guaranteed to have something for everyone and those requiring a visual prompt can simply look at the wall featuring large photos of the desserts and drinks on offer. The Signature Fondue for two with Belgian chocolate with fresh strawberries, banana, marshmallows and churros was shared between four of us for dessert after dinner and was plenty! The teas are also lovely.

Left them 1 star because I am unable to leave none! I feel extremely disappointed. We ordered the macadamia sundae & they literally put salted nuts on canned whip cream & plain vanilla ice cream. The menu described macadamia nut ice cream, choc coated macadamias, hazelnuts, pomegranate pearls etc. We received none of that, than when we complained they said that they changed the menu but haven't updated it. We could barely get an apology or an acknowledgement of fault from them. What an absolute joke. They also charged us a couple of dollars more than what the advertised price was. We spent $20 on a basic sundae & got rude service. This place is overpriced & underwhelming.

Waffle is crispy warm and fully cover with chocolate source. Taste good! What needs to be improved is presentation~
点了正常的华夫饼,口味偏厚重,巧克力酱多黄油多外皮酥脆。虽然有水果和冰淇淋解腻但依然和轻口味毫不相干~见过的、最不注意摆盘的甜品店惹
Think the focus here is more quantity more than quality. The pictures of the cold drinks on the wall all look to be of an artificial colour..... But it was a hot day, so we all got one of the iced drinks, they actually tasted ok. We also got the Signature Fondue for 2 to share between 3 of us, and it was still a lot! The marshmallows for the fondue were in tiny pieces, so they kept getting lost in the big bowl of chocolates. Other then that it tasted alright. Service was ok, but we were there late afternoon & the place was really quiet.

Came here on a Saturday night and it was busy!
There is outdoor seating available for Argile.
My brother and our friend ordered the apple and mint and they said it was okay.

We also ordered the Exploding Chocolate Sundae ($14.50) and it was worth the money!
However, I felt that the Mango Mixer (Fruity Chills) $8.50 that I ordered was expensive for the average taste.

I will come back for the desserts though! Also, customer service was good.

The service was absolutely shocking
I was waiting in front of the counter for about five min when the staff members was havering a conversation sitting on the table!!!
Then when I wanted to order after waiting half an hour on the table I went to the counter and I asked if I order here and he rudely put his hand in my face and said to wait then when he came to me turns out he had a hearing problem which is fine but doesn't give him a right to treat customers like that!! The place was so boring so unprofessional it felt like I really wasted my money the burger and crepes where nothing special they were ugly I'll be never going back that again and I will be telling my friends and family not to go there either I actually have never ever left a comment or review for any restaurant but this i couldn't let go it was really disgusting worst experience of my life never again!! The needs to be shut down or the owners need to pull up and focus on their business

This place serves better desserts and drinks than Max Brenner and Oliver Brown. The chocolate served with their desserts is high quality. Their cakes are on the average side. I'd recommend the churros or waffles.
The hot chocolate is super thick and rich.

In terms of the service, could be a lot better. I was waiting to have table water served for in excess of 10 mins. I finished my meal (pictured) before someone came over. As for the dessert, caramel and macadamia cheesecake was quite nice. Fondue chocolate above average and churros were oily. Also, love the ceramic tea pots but could they be bigger? I like more than 1.5 cups of tea produced in my pot.

I enjoyed the large variety of teas available to suit all tastes buds though wish it was the same when it came to desserts.
I had no problem with my Jasmine Dragon tea though the pretty ceramic teapot it came in only provided me with three half cups of tea!
Same goes with the rest of the table that ordered tea.

Dessert was quite sad when a friend ordered a banana split, the banana and chocolate decorations were fine until he got passed the banana to realise there was hardly any ice cream (literally one tiny scoop that fits a teaspoon) and the rest of the large bowl was packed with whipped cream.

I had a brownie which to my distaste was soft. It really was more a soft fudge chocolate slice. Others who aren't picky will enjoy this but I very much prefer brownies that have an outer crisp to it :)

Visited for late night coffee and shisha/argile. Ordered mochas and a piccolo. Piccolo was good, but mochas tasted like hot chocolates.

Staff were polite and friendly and made sure we were warm outside and regularly checked on our argile. Prices for argile were also quite reasonable. Good place for coffee and a chat while inside was busy with people having dessert.

It's been a while since I've been here,
the furniture is getting worn out,
I'm sinking in my chair,
they don't switch the a/c on,
you have to order at the counter.
Yet the desserts are YUM!
Had number 22 which is coconut and lychee white chocolate sundae,I really liked the coconut taste to the ice cream. My friends enjoyed what they had also. The ice creams/sundaes are probably simply made with ice magic and probably you can do it yourself but the presentation is nice to look at and the combination match.
Prices are reasonable
It came out at a reasonable rate
Wouldn't come here if it's a hot day though if they are not going to switch on the a/c

If you want shirty and rude service this is the place to come. Asked if had large coffee available, rudely replied what coffee you want. Again asked is there a large available, then she pointed to take away cups and again what you want. Would've walked out but needed a coffee. Gave me take away cup even though drinking at table. I truly am surprised how these businesses remain open.

There are so many good desserts and sweets to chose from at this place😊😊 I recommend you order a nice sundae to share with your friends 😁😁

Go hard or go home i say when i think of this place and the sensation you get when you eat a plate full of chocolate. If you have a sweet tooth then this place is your chocolate heaven.

We ordered the single waffles and the Ferrero Rocher shake. The waffles were overly sweet and drowned in milk chocolate. The sides of strawberry and banana were generous though. The shake was a disappointment. You pay $7.50 for just hazelnut syrup in a chocolate milkshake. No Ferrero Rochers in sight. Not worth the visit. Rather go to Choc Pot instead.

The exploding chocolate sundae is amazing. I The ambience in this store is great and they played really good music. The lighting in this place is funky, so I give this place 5 stars!

Came here for waffles & they were acceptable. The place probably needs a bit of a revamp (better ventilation?). The staff were pleasant. Music can be a notch softer so people don't have to scream over each other :)

Chocolates Del Mondo is very similar to its competitors, is it a copycat that does it better than the original?....

There is a big wall in the restaurant with the menu attractively on display and there’s cakes on display near the counter. Perhaps because they were busy, the service we received that night wasn’t the best, though we personally don’t feel this is ever a legitimate reason for bad customer service. As we went on a cooler night, we opted for a peanut butter chocolate pizza instead of a cold dessert. The person who took our order didn’t make eye contact with us once, and instead was constantly looking around the store. Our food took 20 minutes to arrive and the cutlery we were given looked kind of dirty. We also asked for water but that never came. We had originally planned on ordering more if we enjoyed the first dish and it wasn’t enough. Needless to say we decided against this idea. Presentation: 7/10. The menu wall display looks fun with all the colours and big pictures of yummy looking dessert. The peanut butter chocolate pizza itself looked ordinary. Service: 3/10. As mentioned earlier, service wasn’t the best that night. Taste: 2/10. We always finish our food but that night, we couldn’t. The pizza/pancake base was thick and had an uncooked taste. The topping wasn’t anything special – just some fruit and a bit of peanut butter and melted chocolate – and pretty easy to make at home. We also noticed other customers had left food unfinished but can’t say they did so for the same reason as ours. One lady left the restaurant even though her drink was still almost full.

We ordered a shake as it was quite a warm day, and it was very refreshing and cooling. This definitely tasted like Ferrero Rocher, though I thought it was a bit too runny. I enjoyed it all the same regardless.

Rude staff/slow service. Order 2 caked and 2 iced drinks. (iced chocolate and iced strawberry). A drink turned up at the table 15 minutes later with no description, upon tasting turned out to be an iced coffee. After letting a waiter know, the lady who took the order turned up to basically call me a out on the drink. I told her I didn't order an iced coffee, but she insisted I was wrong and had ordered it. She agreed to make the other drinks, but said as she walked away that i ordered iced coffee, but she would make the others anyway. Just rude!

What a joke. It took them a total of 35 mins to bring out too iced drinks and ready made cakes that require a scope of ice cream to be added.

Shocking service. I came to del mondo on a Friday night received my food 45 minutes after I ordered from some very rude staff. I understand its a busy time but for some already made cake and ice cream this wait was ridiculous . Food was below average , over priced and will not be returning. Save your money and time go elsewhere .

Worst place ever. DONT COME. I was severely disappointed by my visit fo Delmondo burwood. On the Monday the 21st of April, i ordered a cappuccino mousse. Prior to receiving my mousse, i noticed the lady working there chucking out a few cakes, which made me question the 'freshness' of the food there.

The mousse tasted horrible and stale, and i assumed it had been sitting in the shop for at least a week. The strawberries which came with it were also not fresh.

The chairs were ripped and the floor and walls were stained. The presentation of the cafe overall was very very poor and i would recommend this cafe to NOONE, not even my dog.

The only positive of this cafe is the workers there, who were very prompt with my order and friendly

Not very good! Ordered a fruit platter with chocolate and cream. The fruit was not fresh banana was quite brown and looked old. None of the food seemed very fresh. All young, disinterested staff. Didn't really trust this place. Would not go back.

Land of chocolate. Two words...

Chocolate Overload

The amount of chocolate-based items on the menu is staggering, even the sign at the front appears to be dipped in chocolate. If you're not into chocolate, I wouldn't recommend this place... that said if, like me, you are into chocolate than this place is certainly worth the visit!
