Review Chpaati Indian Restaurant - Burwood

Now called Ruchira. Food is tasty and authentic Maharashtrian (West of India) style. The quantity for fried fish needs to improve. Was charged $7 for a small cutlet-could do better. Prices are slightly high probably due to the location. Overall good food and definitely worth many more visits.

A complete weekend destination. Small but cozy restaurant and has some awesome food. Must say the Chef has good hands and is well experienced. The Butter Chicken ordered was soft and cooked well. The saffron rice was flavored with quality ingredients. After such nice food what else you want in weekend. Marvellous experience!!

Awesomely yum! My favorite Indian restaurant in Victoria! When you are there, butter chicken & garlic nan bread are must-try. Seriously delicious + great customer service. My wife and I had such a great dinner there. Yes, will recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.

Their thalis are amazing though they are a bit too generous with the oil. Flavours are spot on. I have tried all their thalis and my favourite remains their mutton thali. Pohe is very good though the portions could be bigger. Be aware that they are extremely popular- your best bet is to call well ahead to book a table in their smallish seating area or call before 1 pm for pick up in the evening- yes, you need to call them in advance for pick up too as all their food is prepped fresh daily

I made a delivery order they said it’ll be delivered in 40 mins but got delivered in 1 hr 20 mins. My order was veg vindaloo ( not spicy at all, less veggies and more gravy and tasteless ) garlic naan was 1.5/5 mango lassi was a disaster ( I threw it away all because it smelled bad ) the only best thing was paratha. The quality of food is very bad. Usually I don’t write reviews at all but this bad food made me do it. My 30 bucks got wasted and waste of time too waiting for food.

They invented Garlic naan in a new fashion. I really appreciate the way they made it. chef's thought process would most likely be " Aaaaa, we don't have time to make garlic naan bread so why not use two half plain naan breads and sandwich them with Ginger garlic paste. Who cares about the reviews, I get paid for the job". Hopefully restaurant manager looks into this and at least try to make some changes in the receipe else you will be losing customers on a regular basis. Thanks for the afford to deliver it. I came back to edit this review as I wanted to add one more thing about the samosas which we ordered. Just had a bite and came back to edit the review. SAMOSAS you are looking cute, crispy and yummy. That's all I can say. I really wish I could have refrained myself from tasting it. I believe the maker might have be confused between the potatoe stuffings which goes in samosa to the combination of chat powder and salt as the samosa is filled with the chat powder. Not that there is no potatoes. At least they tried but failed again. I wish I could help them.

I have tried chicken starters along with biryani. It was a fantastic experience in terms of taste and quality of food. Cooked in muglai style which is the authentic way of biryani. Worth to be here. The best part is its pocket friendly compare to quantity.

One of the best restaurant near to my place. To be honest I have tried samosas which is really tasty and crispy. Other than that in dinner I have tried biryani. It was tasty and quantity is enough and it worth buying it

I'd give this place negative starts if that were possible. I have NEVER written a review because food can't ever be that bad. But this compelled me to...
I have had butter chicken and what I had today was anything but that. It tasted like death...and the naan tasted like raw flour..

Save your money and have some water instead..

Disgusting taste. It's not restaurant quality Indian curry at all and feel like ripped off. It was the worst curry I had in my life. Never again.

Rubbish! Food looked and tasted like dog vomit! The owner said it was fresh but it was anything but. I wish Vikas would come back and take over!! Yuck merda food and poor service. The onion was off as well.

The food was good and tasty. But the lady who was serving was very very rude. She totally spoiler the experience of good food. I would not revisit this place again.

Haven't been for a while but intending to go back for some of that delicious curry. But finding it difficult to work out when they are open or not. Decore is not the best but I'm not one for looks I prefer the meat and potatoes .😊

SO SLOW. An hour and 50 minutes for takeaway. Enough said.

I'd hate to see how they cope on a busy night. You know things aren't going to be too good when your menu's consist of dirty take away menu's. Really, this is a take away shop with a few chairs and tables set up.

When we arrived (4 of us) there were two other patrons who left soon after. We saw 3 people come in to get takeaway during our two hour visit - and one of them came back because they hadn't received what they had ordered.

In that time we were served stale papadums. Our friends received their entree 20 minutes before ours came out!?!?!?!? We had to request a water refill. The main meal was ok but the coupon deal gave us a choice of either naan or rice, whereas I would have preferred both (really - how much does it cost to put a bowl of rice on the table?). It was disconcerting to continually hear the microwave ping going off in the kitchen.

The service was extremely slow - and they cannot possibly use the excuse that they were busy.

Nothing special to remember about this meal.
