Review Aghajoon - Burwood

Very old persian style place. Warm food. Good Jooje Kabab and Koobide. The Barg kabab and Kashke-Bademjoon could improve. The music is not appropriate for dining. The tables could be cleaner.
Hello Hello
Good authentic Persian food. Meat cooked for perfection. Worth a visit , see photos

We had a party of 40 people in this restaurant, the food was great, very good quality and quantity, excellent service and very friendly people. Live music and singer perfect, and decoration also very gorgeous. They decorated and arranged the restaurant as we requested flexibly to the extent that we experienced feeling of a house party. We and our guests were happy with everything, cannot forget. Highly recommend.

Well, I'll concede that I'm not an expert in Persian cuisine but we went to this restaurant with our Persian friends who didn't like the food for it was not allegedly authentic Persian. I'm still rating with three 🌟 based on my taste entirely. The food wasn't too bad but wasn't terrific either. The meat in every dish was a bit too dry for my taste. It was a huge place but we were the only customers. Later on only one more couple walked in. Wasn't sure whether it was an indication of it's popularity, as my sample size was too small. But lastly, I must say, they were quite friendly and offered a decent customer service. They tried to explain their mediocre performance at cooking when we infomed them of our experience. I can't say I was convinced after that though. In a nutshell, I probably won't go back to this restaurant.

Food has significantly improved in the last year. I actually think it is one of the best tasting Persian food I have had here in Melbourne from an Australian non Persian taste. Highly recommended!

Great food and great service! The kebabs were amazingly tender and juicy. Don't get me started on the rice - Persian rice is so morish and is the perfect accompaniment to the kebabs. Will definitely be back!

Hands down the worst restaurant I have ever been to. We were charged $198 for 5 people and served 3 mains and 2 entrees...the mains were some pieces of bland meat and rice which tasted like plastic with vegetables that were clearly frozen vegetables that you buy in a packet from Safeway. I will never go back there, the service was very poor and the whole experience was disappointing.

Hands down the best Persian Kabobs in Melbourne. Also, their Russian salad is excellent. It's always quiet and pleasant to eat there. Top job, I hope they keep it up.

Went there because of friend’s recommendation. It was a friday night and there was a live band singing Persian songs..i assume? There weren’t many other people when we came about 8pm but within an hour it was full. The music was quite loud so it was rather difficult to chat, and at about 10pm the place turned into a nightclub with people dancing. Foods are okay, the amount of rice was just crazy, we couldn’t finish it. Salad was big amount too but lack of dressings. Meat-wise, we tried all their skewers meat and i enjoyed the sausage one, while the chicken was ok and some other meat was a bit bland for me. I liked the grilled tomatoes that came with the meats. Their appetizers were nice. Dessert was ok, I enjoyed their rose tea.

What a great find! Great food and great service. The kebabs were tender, succulent and went perfectly with the rice - belay that, the rice was perfect! Will definitely be back!

The quality of the food is one of the best amongst Iranian restaurants and staff are very nice and friendly. Kebabs are very delicious and tender. <br/><br/>The main issue is with the arrangement of tables, especially when there is a function happening. It is very awkward and inconvenient for both hosts of the function and the other guests passing through their party. I have been there a couple of times when there was live music which was very loud and disturbing. Desert options were not that great and attractive. I think the service needs a bit of lifting and fine tuning to make it a place for fine dining. <br/><br/>Again just to emphasise, quality of the food is one of the best!
