Awesome mexian food with just the right amount of spice so my young son can enjoy the food as well the staff are lovely and very friendly too :) also big bonus because their meat has no antibiotics and no added hormones which is amazing! Good quality food and fresh produce
It was mucho grande (that means it's really good or big or something?)! Super fast service, great flavours, great serving sizes, me rikey. The best Mexican food in Byron Bay.... actually, the best food in Byron Bay. There is another Mexican restaurant closer to the beach with larger crowds which doesn't produce food anywhere near as good as this quiet little gem. Do you deliver to Wamberal?

Price is high for tacos but they are huge. (I actually prefer them smaller - more authentic). But at least it’s a decent size for $17 for 2 fish tacos. I liked the salsa they had, fish was crispy, slaw was fresh. Not sure if these are authentic really- too many ingredients & larger tortilla than Mexican street vendors. Still they were tasty and I would go back. A simple pork w pineapple and coriander would b a nice addition
A really surprising venue. It is just a casual Mexican restaurant down an arcade that sells really good tacos and nachos. The toppings on the nachos were unique and very tasty, and the staff member was also very friendly. No complaints about this small Mexican diner.

Great tacos in a crazy little alley way mall. We tried fish, chicken, pork and beef. All sensational. You can get a beer from the bottle shop down the alley. I would give it a 5 for the food, 2 for the ambience and 3 for the service. But they have a great sign...
MUST TRY! This by far is the best tacos I’ve ever had!!! I wish I could leave it at that but I have to write at least 140 words. Tried the beef, halloumi, chicken and fish and every single of them hit the spot.

Mighty good place this one. First, it needs to be appreciated that Chihuahua is a hole in the wall joint in the middle of an arcade with a few tables and chairs. There’s no pretence. It’s essentially a little Mexican fast food outlet. But, if you like great food don’t let the location worry you in the slightest. You can always go for that fancy restaurant lunch or dinner another time. If it’s great food you’re after and you want it quickly and simply without fuss, then this is your place.
We had two types of tacos, the pulled pork and the fish. Both were outstanding. Like fantastic. They’re a very good size, superbly cooked and presented and absolutely packed full of flavour. We loved them. They’d be a stampede where I come from for Mexican food this good at these prices. We love a bit of heat as well and also had a serve of the jalapeño poppers to finish. This was a wise choice. The poppers were awesome too. Really tasty with just the right amount of warmth that lingered beautifully.
I’d read the other reviews about Chihuahua and thought they’d be a fair bit of hype to them. I was wrong. This is a great place and clearly the one around town with a buzz about it going from the locals we talked to. To top it off the service was wonderful. Bright, cheery and very efficient.
This is a great place. We strongly recommend it.

Limited options but thats all you need. We got the chicken taco which was moist and juicy. Full of flavour. Enough heat packed in the soft taco. And also got the quesadilla. Which was soo good deliciously filled with right amount of filling with cheeses that oozed out mmMm....

This cute little taco place does only a few things - but it does them well. We shared a couple of tacos each: pulled pork with crackling and slow cooked beef brisket were both winners. It's quick, so not the place for a leisurely meal but the flavours and quality really deliver.
So delicious and fresh, I love coming here for a quick and nourishing feed. My fave is the fish taco and prawn tacos. The slow cooked beef taco is heavenly too! Thank you for creating such a yummy menu!
Tasty taco treats at this low key eatery which is tucked away off the main road. Choose your choice of taco off the blackboard, any combination of the available options. We had fish tacos and pork tacos which were so tasty and delicious. It was the perfect amount to fill the gap between meals. We also ordered a side of fries which were super crispy and light, topped with paprika and cheese. Sides also available. I would go back for sure.

The jalapeno poppers are a must if you want something with a kick. The tacos are excellent, the fish ones being my favourite.

Great little hidden taco/nachos gem of a place in the centre of town.
FOOD: Simple, short menu. The majority of which is gluten free. Some vegan and vegetarian options exist too. Reasonably priced meals in good serving sizes. The quality of meat on the pulled beef nachos was soooo good! Staff are happy to tailor to suit you too.
PARKING: Free on street parking
ACCESSIBILITY: Fine for those with prams/wheelchairs... Outside seating area even allows for those with dogs. Nearby shared toilet (with other nearby cafes in complex) was clean.
STAFF: Lovely, bubbly staff. Happy to help out with suggestions.
OVERALL: Would recommend and go again.
Little place but it delivered big. The jalapeño poppers are the best I’ve had. Tacos are good size with generous fillings and taste great! Every one of our party of 5 friends enjoyed the food. No wonder Chris Hemsworth gets take away from here.
Ordered four tacos from this cute little shop! The special which had calamari was my favourite. The tacos were on the pricier side - almost $10 per taco.

I would give 10 stars to the fish taco if I could. It is just that good. The corn on the cob was also a welcome side dish to the tacos.
Delicious, fresh tacos. Well worth skipping breakfast and saving ourselves to have these for lunch. Tucked away in a small arcade, there are plenty of tables available for a quick sit-down bite, or to have takeaway. We had the pulled pork, fish and calamari (special) tacos.
Delicious tacos and corn chips. The restaurant is located within a plaza. Small storefront with plenty of seats in the common area.
Love the fish taco and corn chips and guacamole. Chicken taco was pretty good, but I prefer fish. I'll be sure to come back to try their other tacos and dishes.
