The coffee was ok but I got a rude shock when they wouldn't accept my cash. The barista told me they made the switch to digital 2 years ago, presumably in time with the pandemic. I'm unsure if those supporting a cashless society truly understand what this means. They may think they're doing good, but it's actually sabotaging the future for those to come.
The reality of a cashless society means no cash at all. That means that the homeless man who sleeps on the street in front of Sparrow will no longer be able to buy a coffee for himself. Cashless means fully traceable and controlled. I do not support this and I will not be back to Sparrow because I care more about the future of humanity rather than an overpriced coffee.

Within 6 visits to this coffee shop and I already feel like I could ask these amazing baristas to help me move house and they'd say yes. They are that happy and welcoming and invested in hoping your day is happy and caffeinated.
Add in that they make one of the best brews in Brisbane and you've got a little nook worth visiting over and over.
