Review Oasis At Byron - Byron Bay

Before I booked, I read almost a hundred of the most recent reviews. Then formulated two concerns which are the cleanness of toilets and the customer service. However the service quality concern got cleared straightaway when I called to inquire about the sites details as Dominica was very patient and subtle over the phone. Secondly, we stayed there for three days and two nights over a weekend and found the toilets were fairly maintained. Impressively, the provided litter bags are landfill biodegradable. I couldn't find a reason why it shouldn't be a top accommodation choice given the direct access to beach and convenient location in town as well. Will definitely come back to stay again when visit Byron Bay in future.

wow! As a family of 4 we stayed in one of the cabins over the Easter break. SO clean, such amazing reception service and a very warm and welcoming manager on site at all times! Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday with great pool, enclosed dog park, kids skate park and a direct access walk to the beach.

Nice staff and great walk to the dog friendly beach behind. The issue we had was that the toilet blocks were cleaned everyday through peak time, 8.30-10am which made no sense and the block was closed and couldn’t be used. This is the main time everyone is getting up and ready, we have never seen this before. The cleaner couldn’t understand why we would question it, even when we suggested they clean late morning/lunch when it’s quiet like every other place we’ve stayed.

Dirty amenity block, Dirty laundry and dirty camp kitchen for our entire 2 night stay. And I Didn’t see a cleaner onsite at all. Apart from that it was a nice caravan park. All they need to do is clean up and it would have been much more enjoyable stay.

Unfortunately it was very wet and muddy while we were there which didn't help but not only that, the laundry was not cleaned once during our 5 day stay and was filthy. Also the female toilets had 2 blocked toilets and the children's playground had a plastic container and bottle left on the ground for 2 days we were there. The best part about the park though is it is pet friendly!!

We have stayed with Ingenia before at other locations without any issues but this was our first stay at Ingenia Byron. It was by far the dirtiest place we have ever stayed. We stayed in a two bedroom cabin. Whilst the room initially presented as clean and decent, it wasn’t long before you realize just how filthy it was. There was long black hair throughout the entire unit, on the floors and carpet, the kitchen bench, the shower curtain, the toilet base, the couch, the top of the beds. We have a young toddler so she is often on the ground. We ended up laying a blanket down because the floor was so filthy with dirt and hair (seemed as though it had not been vacuumed or swept at all). There was also a significant ant infestation, no matter how often you cleaned they would very shortly be covering the kitchen bench again (clearly an ongoing issue as there was a bottle of antrid in the cupboard). Overall an extremely disappointing stay, will never stay there again and would not recommend to anyone. After the stay I have looked at other reviews and it appears the hygiene and cleanliness of the location and cabins is an ongoing issue that has not been addressed, despite responses to previous reviews advising this would be fixed.

Firstly, we were there at Easter time for the Blues Festival so it's probably the busiest and most expensive time of year. Cons: tent sites are next to the road (we barely slept) and pretty close together, shower and toilet cubicle in one unit combined which is not very hygienic, local bus runs every 3 hours during 4 day Easter break which is not ideal if you don't have a car, laundry needs coins (who carries coins these days?) Pros: swimming pool is awesome, great shower power, nice walk to the beach, great kitchen facilities, cabins are located in a very nice place in the park but we stayed in tents, walk over the beach into town is great (about 40min walk), WIFI was great.

Not great especially after spending few nights in South west rock caravan park. The cabinet are very very close from others, it felt better on the tent site area actually. The deluxe villa was cheap ...but still I would expect to be clean ( you know when you get your foot dirty inside that the cleaning is very light). It was mouldy (on there are floods but if it is not healthy then you don't rent it). Shower was leaking on the floor so not helping...Not even kitchenware, never seen such a limited equipment in the kitchen ... Dining chairs broken or close to break. The recreation equipment for kids are limited. Very small playground, skatepark is not very friendly. Nice pool

the food experience you want to experience over and over again. this food is made with dedication and love. the salads are dvine, so is the HOMOUS
