Vietnamese food to a high standard. Had the broken rice pork chop combination,it was all good though the pork floss really stuck to each other. My missus enjoyed her fried chicken rice. Food came out at a reasonable rate and prices were decent. Not a bad option
This use to be my childhood pho place with my family and I haven’t been back since their refurbishment a couple of years back. Personally I’m not that big on pho however I liked how the broth wasn’t too oily and it was a good portion. Great meat to noodle ratio!
Well what's there to say... Pho Viet is one of our favourite Pho restaurants in the area. Came here for dinner last night and their Pho broth as always is nice and flavourful, their rare beef is tender. Quality Pho to be had here.
I was really hungry and forgot to take photos before dunking my rare beef so the pics do it justice.
We go here for Mi Quang just a fantastic dish the way they do it is just great so much going on with it.
To be honest I have not tried anything else but my kids always enjoy the pho so must be good as they are a bit fussy.
I have never had a Vietnamese rice dish this perfect. All traditional the flavours were there! I loved every single bite on the plate. The only downfall is their customer service, it’s a bit slow even when there’s only 2 tables in the restaurant who had people eating. I left feeling full, and happy!
We ordered the Pho dac biet and the Mi xao gion do bien. The menu has a variety of dishes and the service is quick. Nice interior, plenty of seating and I like how the large windows are opened, makes good use for ventilation and on this particular day, the weather was beautiful and I enjoyed the breeze coming in. The restaurant appears to be clean, food is decently sized and the price is standard for this area. The pho broth has a good flavour and the noodles are fresh. This place is worth a visit.
After renovation, it just keeps getting better and better. Everything you get is worth your money. Friendly service, suitable portions and great tasting pho in my hood.
Actual rating: 3.5/5
Recently renovated, this Vietnamese restaurant does a pretty mean bowl of pho and also offers other dishes such as the crispy skin chicken dish. Price point is quite budget friendly and portions are decent. Service is your standard Cabramatta customer service, not much speaking but fast to bring out meals, which doesn’t bother me at all.
The pho portion is huge tho the soup flavour can be better. The best side they do serve mi huang as it’s not the typical pho and hardly served in any Vietnamese place. Taste is great
Wow, it's hard to find this super size Pho in Sydney these days. They are generous in serving, I ordered large Pho and it is huge. Their soup base is above average, at least I don't feel too thirsty afterwards.
The place is nice and clean, the only complain I have is those annoying flies. Because they have huge open window as shop front, all the outside flies would come and join your meal.
Lovely place to have some beef bowl. I had the rare beef bowl, and to my enjoyment, the beef was actually still raw. Decently priced at $11.5. A generous serving of noodles and beef. Fast service and awesome location. Happy to come back.
After retiring my childhood fave Pho Tau Bay, Pho Viet is my second go-to spot for pho. The pho is solid - good flavour and the meat is always tender. The spring rolls are delicious and they give you lots of herbs and lettuce to accompany. However, I’d say the crispy chicken with red rice is a bit meh. Overall, a place you really can’t go wrong with! Definitely worth a shot.
We had the pho here, the broth is very flavorful but on the saltier side. The portions are large and generous. The bean sprouts and basil leaves they provide are very fresh unlike most other restaurants and there are plenty of condiments on the tables for you to use. Staff are a bit unfriendly but quick to give you anything you ask for.
This place is known for its Mi Quang, and it definitely doesn’t disappoint. The egg noodles are silky smooth - different to what I was expecting since they’re the fat noodles instead of thin ones but honestly I loved it like that. Everything just works so well in this dish! I wish there was more than just 2 prawns but I mean you can’t really ask for much when it’s only $14.
Deeeeelicious! If you’re looking for some different Viet food to try other than pho, don’t go past this place. Authentic food from the Central part of Vietnam. 👌🏼
Its one of my favourite pho places to go. The pho bo and the bun bo hue never disappoints. I do like the spring rolls with the lettuce and herbs you get. The drinks are okay but there is much better ones out on the streets. On festival days, it does get hectic, and less attentive. But if you go on a less busy day, its okay. Sometimes you have to flag a few times to get attention even for hot tea. I recommend this place if you are in cabra.
New favourite Vietnamese restaurant in cabramatta. The menu is extensive and the food is always good no matter what you order. I reccomend this place to everyone
This Vietnamese restaurant has a variety of dishes but is mainly known for their pho. The pho here is good. The broth is just right, not too salty nor too flavourless. The fruit shakes are delicious and very creamy especially the durian fruit shake. The food and portion is good for the pricing.
If it's your first time at Pho Viet, you must order the dish that everyone comes here for: Mi Quang. Pho Viet's version of mi quang has the most flavoursome broth and their handmade noodles are always al dente. They're also very generous with the prawns and crab meat (most restaurants skimp out on the crab meat) and when you add in the crackers and top it with the herbs, there are just so many textures to enjoy. A clear stand out dish and one of the reasons I go to Cabramatta ☺️👌🏻
They really upped the quality and service after the renovation. I've had the seafood noodle soup and beef pho and both had amazing depth of flavour, well priced and stays open after work hours.
After the recent renovation that Pho Viet has undergone, it has never been any better! If you're after affordable, authentic Vietnamese food, this is the place to be.
My go-to dish is the mi quang and let me tell you, it is the bomb. The last time I had this was when I was in Vietnam and Pho Viet did not do me any disappointment with their speciality dish. The handmade noodles and depth of flavour within the dish really takes it to another level.
Another dish I'd recommed trying is their special pho bowl. Definitely one of the top contenders for one of the best Pho in Sydney in my books.
I do think they could work on improving their service but other than that, I will be definitely coming back.
Pho Viet was recently renovated and it didn't disappoint!
This place served the best quality special beef noodle soup I have had in a long time. Their beef slices were thick and tender. Sauces provided were not watered down.
Decor was fantastic and a definite upgrade!
My favourite pho place in Cabramatta, although to be fair I have not experienced any bad pho in Cabramatta, given the number of pho places and the competition that that provides.
This place specialises in Mi Quang a hand made egg noodles with pork, prawns, prawn mince and pieces of crab in some soup. I could eat this everyday!! Phó Viet is the only place I've located this in Sydney.
I love this dish so much, I went over to try this dish from where it originated from in...
I'm clearly not Vietnamese, but eating at Pho Viet is like eating at mumma's house. The pho. I just can't go anywhere else (except when in Vietnam)...I feel like I'm cheating on Pho Viet if I try someone else's broth...and somehow I think they'll find out and be disappointed!
I recommend:
The pho
Mi quang nam (crab noodle soup)
Special pork chop with broken rice
The iced coffees
Coming all these years it's nice to become a familiar face too (lovely staff).
Early dinner ordered seafood pho; the broth had deep flavour and all components of seafood were cooked nicely. Friendly and attentive service. Also ordered prawn ricepaper rolls to go and total bill was $20! Extremely well priced. Will be back!!
Pho Viet is widely known for their phở, many rave about it, but there are other options that you should also try. It’s on the quiet end of Cabramatta’s main strip and also happens to be the only place you can find mì quảng in the area.I’d say that mì quảng is to Central Vietnam what phở is to Northern Vietnam – a staple in the family diet, often enjoyed with others on a cold day. If your mom makes it often, you’d probably defend hers as the best you’ve ever had. That’s the kind of dish it is.
The only reason I'm not giving this restaurant 5 stars is because I haven't tried enough dishes yet but I can't wait to go back.
Pros: very friendly staff, clean and casual space and reasonably priced.
$26.50 for 2 main meals and a coffee.
Short and straightforward: Come and try this place out if you're craving for some Vietnamese food! Love the pho, love the pork chop and most specially, I love how cheap the food are here. You'll get your money's worth and your tummy will definitely be happy!
The pho is decent, but nothing too special.
Their specialty Mi Quang Nam is pretty nice, the broth/sauce that comes with the noodles has a very good flavour.
Serving is relatively small so a good option if you intend to try other restaurants in the area.
I bet Pho is mainly answered as everyone's comfort food especially during this cold weather.. It comes usually in a large bowl filled with clear sweet but complex beef bones broth and slippery rice noodle...On top of their Pho, you can't simply miss their signature dish, Mi Quang! It's actually Prawn, Crab Meat and Pork with Handmade Noodle Soup.. Their handmade noodle is thicker and much chewier compared to the flat rice noodle.. Then.. It's served with little amount of soup, some crushed nuts on top and the crispy crackers on the side..

My first time visit and this place impressed me! Mi quang that they have here is soo delish! with generous portion of meats and the cheap price, what a great combo. Their spring roll is also very tasty. Service is really good too ^^
Pho Viet was busy with a menu which was both short and long – longer than a pho only establishment, but luckily shorted than some 20 page menus found in cross cuisine establishments. The tables featured accompaniments, boxes of tissues and holders with cutlery. It also came with nice tea, with a pleasant sweet flavour. This took me back to both Vietnam and the more authentic of the Adelaide/North Western pho shops of South Australia. I ordered my favourite, Pho Bo Tai Nam. It was served with a generous plate of Vietnamese basil, bean sprouts and a lemon we
I love Cabramatta and all but the one thing I don't like about it is that most restaurants close far too early. By 7pm, most places have closed or are getting ready close. We were craving cheap Vietnamese food and to celebrate the end of the first half of semester 2 of uni and a friend's birthday, we decided to go Pho Viet.
What I loved? The freshness. Some Vietnamese restaurants will bring out the plate of condiments/garnishes, and the basil leaves will be limp and withered, or there will only be one or two pathetic dying strands. They won’t give enough lemon, or the bean sprout will be tough and old as well. Not at Pho Viet! The produce was all fresh and full of colour and life.
Pho Viet is one of the first restaurants you pass as you enter John street. Apparently it has been around for 30 years so it has to be good. It's also one of Luke Nguyen's (of Red Lantern fame) top choices for Pho.

Luke Nguyen rips open his coat with a flourish. Beneath his assuming attire is a fitted black t-shirt that proclaims " I love pho ". It generates a round of laughter amongst the assembled crowd as he stands there, chest puffed and proud like a Vietnamese

We hit Cabramatta for a healthy lunch of soup, rice and bull's penis.
Average Vietnamese. This place was ok - not especially clean and shiny inside, but the food was relatively good. We had prawn and pork rice paper rolls (very very porky!) with a delicious dark peanut sauce, a crab meat soup (which was super tasty with little black mushrooms) and a chicken pho (which wasn't fantastic - the chicken was very dark and off putting). Unsure about this place!
In my opinion I didn't really enjoy the Pho here; the soup was a bit diluted, and the beef wasn't crispy. At this stage, I reckon Pho Ann is at the top.
Very very friendly service, delicious food and excellent value for money. Duck and egg noodle soup was fabulous as was my simple vegetable and rice noodle soup.
This is the benchmark of Pho. I tend to try pho everywhere i go, and as it stands, the pho served here has become the benchmark. I've had pho in Canada, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand, and Pho Viet still is the best in my opinion.
The staff is super friendly and always greet you with a smile. They never rush you when you're finished (like another well known place in Bankstown), and are very courteous.
I recently came back from LA, and could not wait to get a fabulous pho from Pho Viet.

Amazing. Go there on most days after a hard work at Uni. Aside from the well renowned beef rice noodle soup, it serves a variety of excellent dishes, I've especially come to like the seafood rice noodle, (someone correct me if that's not what it's called).
Good variety and friendly people, one if the best without a doubt
Had the special beef noodle soup. The stock was perfect, really flavoursome, one of the best ones I've had in Sydney. Partner had the pork chop vermicelli noodle with spring roles. The pork was nice and crisp, spring rolls packed tightly and full of flavour
This is the best Pho in Sydney!. We get around to try different Pho all over the place... and I got to say, this is my favorite!
Travel a long way to get to it - despite there being 5 pho restaurants minutes away from where I live - and it's 100% worth it!
Great friendly service!
Good Pho!. After we heard this was a regular haunt of Luke Nguyen's, we knew we were in for a treat. First impressions, the restaurant is very lively and somewhat Americanized in its decor but above all, it is clean and very family friendly.
The prices were reasonable with a Beef Pho at $9, Special Beef Pho $11 and a Chicken Pho $10. The service was outstanding and the side of bean sprouts and herbs was overly generous. But let's get down to business!
The Pho's broth was hearty and exhibited strong flavours from the beef stock. While this was tasty, it took centre stage and smothered the other delicate flavours of the broth. The broth was visibly oily however this did not distort the flavour nor the enjoyment of eating this noodle soup.
The Special Beef Pho was also very enjoyable with notably the tripe being very clean and thinly sliced. Viet Pho obviously take great precision in food preparation and cleanliness, and is a credit to their popularity. Certainly worth a visit if you're in the area.
A good Pho. Excellent, slurp-worthy Pho. Affordable feed too at $9 for pho bo tai.
Solid beef pho with a nice broth and plenty of meat. Would have liked more noodles however especially for $15 price tag. Still would recommend, they got a decent variety of options other than pho too.
Flavour and depth!
I don’t usually deviate from my usual order of Pho Dac Biet but decided to step outside my comfort zone and order a Bun Bo Hue (BBH) instead - boy, was I happy I did. I’ve had BBH before but this broth simply, hit different. There is so much depth in the flavour of the soup; the journey starts with the aromas of fresh lemon grass before being greeted with a hint of spice which lingers just a little. The soup is clean and doesn’t seem to leave a thick feeling on the taste buds. I usually leave the restaurant feeling heavy but this wasn’t the case here.
The worst is eating hot noodle soup while in heat, but this establishment had adequate airflow allowing you to stay cool throughout the entire experience. When looking at the price - you can’t win or lose, it is quite average. The staff was very quick with service.
Best mi Quang in town!!! Or at least from my experience with a few places like Bankstown (but not tastier than my moms mi Quang of course). There’s also that bit of crab meat, pork and prawn that taste similar to the one I had in Vietnam, not exactly but pretty close. Bessie that they also have this nem nuong ninh hoa and amazing sauces, which I bought 2 takeaway. You have it as self-wrap in rice papers. So good!
MiQuang is their signature dishes that delivered beautifully especially garnish with fresh vegetables and nice rice crackers andddd don't forget with fresh chilli
Don't just read my reviews, come and try it yourself 😉
