The food is amazing! Everyone must try the food! It is made with love and its delicious! They even have cakes and desserts!
The food is amazing, we ordered the Peking duck rolls, salt and pepper tofu and squid , chilli eggplant clay pot, with salted fish fried rice as recommended by the lovely staff. Me and my friends are so satisfied. The staff is so welcoming and it seems like a new management.
Ordered the Singapore noodles 9/10
My goodness this place is amazing. Recently I had bun hue at another Vietnamese restaurant and it was nice but just didn't have the flavours of bun bo hue. So when I saw this dish on the menu at Loving Hut I was reluctant to order it but thought I should give it a go to have a comparison. It was way better! It was spicy and reminded me of regular bun bo hue.
My folks got bun moc and bun ca. I tried their soups and both were delicious and had distinct flavours so everything there doesn't just taste the same.
I have been here since I was in Cabramatta back around 5 years ago. This place is still going strong Banh Canh Cua is very nice here. Friendly staff, no EFTPOS
I do love the food, it is delicious, but found it a bit dodgy that they gave us the wrong (but similar) dish to us and after we had a couple of bites and they realised their mistake, gave it to the original table. Felt bad they had to eat off a plate we had already touched..😔
They do a great duck pancake and chicken rice. Salt and pepper tofu was different to the usual ones I've tried but I enjoyed it. They were so light and airy on the inside and definitely salty.
I’ve been here several times with friends and family for around 2 years now. The food here will delight any omnivore as it’s just full of natural flavours and it’s so fresh every time, and true to authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
Fully vegan restaurant. Super cheap and the menu is extensive with pages and pages of choices for dishes. We ordered the kfc which was great. The chicken roti (not so great). The salt and pepper tofu which was one of the best tofu dishes I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.
I went to loving hut during lunar new year because I wanted vegetarian food. Vege bun Rieu (tomato and tofu based noodle soup) was soooo yummy. Filling yet light and left me feeling good!
I've visited this place quiet a few things last year and once this month.
Food is cheap, and comes out within a few minutes. Bun Rieu the tomato base soup noodes taste of fresh.
The place has a smell, it is not dirty but has the kitchen smell to it.
Salt and pepper tofu (4/5): This dish is a MUST! These lightly fried fluffy tofu pieces are crispy on the outside and airy on the inside - the seasoning is also so addictive you'll want to polish off the plate on your own!! I constantly crave this dish!!!
Special Salad (Goi Dac Biet) (4/5): I prefer this to the traditional/non-vegan version of Vietnamese Salad (goi)! It was so flavoursome and had all the texture of "seafood" and "meat" - prawns, calamari, crispy bits of meat in delicious "fish sauce". I highly recommend getting this dish!
Canh chua (4/5): The soup is the perfect mix of sweet and sour and it's full of tomatoes, enoki mushrooms, button mushrooms, okra, pineapple and tofu. A great side dish.
KFC (3/5): This is the vegan "fried chicken" which was mostly just breadcrumb batter and didn't taste like chicken at all. There wasn't any flavour or chickeny texture. This was probably the least favourite of the dishes.
Fried Taro Roll (3/5): Kind of similar to the KFC because you could mostly taste the fried batter and not much else. Only difference was that this was a "spring roll" pastry type batter compared to the breadcrumb KFC batter. Although this was slightly better because it came with a dipping sauce for a bit of flavour. Overall, wouldn't reorder this.
Stir fried vegetables (3.5/5): Stir fried vegetables were a bit on the salty side but I did like the crunchiness of the mock meat and the cashews sprinkled on top - oh and the eggplant is delish! Wouldn't go out of my way to order this one though.
Special rice paper rolls (3/5): These are the rolls you make yourself. The mock beef pieces were a bit dry but the chao tom (prawn stick) tasted exactly like an actual prawn stick. The vegan fish sauce was also a good balance of flavours. They also give you plenty of lettuce, bean sprouts and cucumber to make your own rolls which is a plus (some places can be a bit stingy!)
Bun vit tiem (yellow duck noodle) (2/5): Wasn't a fan of this dish. It kind of tasted like 2 minute noodles...but the "duck" was very crispy and tasty.
Sweet and sour mock fish (3/5): This dish is smothered in the sweet and sour sauce which my family loves but I'm not a huge fan. I find the sauce very overpowering so you have to load up on the rice to balance the flavour. The texture of the mock fish is also a bit stringy and the flavour was nothing special.
The table next to us had the fried "chicken" and seemed to really like their dish. I need to try that next time!
Best place for Vegan food in Sydney. Delicious food, superb service and very reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. Depending on time, parking can be little difficult. Still should be able to find a parking space after one or two rounds. They accept EFTPOS too.
pretty good! super cheap and the serving sizes are generous. the kfc fried chicken is soooo good (highly recommend) & the pho is just how i remember it, variety of mock meats and tons of flavour throughout all the foods. ($40 for 2 ppl / 2 x drinks - 2x entree - 2 main)
Generous serving of the royal noodles, and equally tasty. The lady kitchen staff were lovely and friendly, smiling as i walked past. However, the male counter staff appeared rather unfriendly. Not sure whether it's because i was the first customer of the day (too early and he still hasnt gotten into the mood of starting work or because i don't converse in Viet). Either way, i have no idea what was wrong!! I wish i could read faces.
This restaurant serves fantastic vegan renditions of vietnamese dishes. The food served here is delicious and consistent. It does get busy quite often but food still comes out quickly and the waiters are very attentive to your needs.
Since my family is vegetarian, this is definitely one of our favourite restaurant to go to. Food is delicious and the restaurant itself is clean (cabramatta branch). Although you need to prebook for some occasions because it gets really busy at night and might have no seating.
The restaurant is Cosy and service friendly except for the occasional cleaning of floors and filling of cutlery whilst the customer is still sitting on it haha. I wouldn't bother too much with the entrees unless you really want some spring rolls - save room for the mains. The vegetarian Vietnamese noodle soups you're given are ginormous. Also such a tasty and filling meal for $10. I feel like I've saved the earth already!
Loving Hut has a couple of branches locally. In Cabramatta they’re a little off the beaten track, just off Belverdere Arcade facing Cabramatta Road West, next to a less wholesome, cigarette fumed billiard hall. It’s pretty much all things to everybody with over 120 dishes on the menu from fresh Viet rolls and spring rolls for starters to single serve dishes like pho, rice dishes – even Vietnamese pancake (banh xeo).
Loving Hut originated with the vision that all beings can live in peace, love and harmony with each other and in tune with the Earth. We visited their new store in Cabramatta for a quiet night out. I had the tomato soup (loved it however would've preferred more tofu). Vegetarian - Pho Bun Riel (tomato soup) - Full of flavour and had a reasonable amount of tomatoes in the soup. However, I would've liked more 'meat' tofu (hiding beneath the soup and vermicelli). Otherwise, lovely taste and generous servings of mushrooms. Spring Rolls Popular salt and pepper tofu dish Banh Xeo (you might remember my post about Que Hong . This looks like a giant yellow open gyoza (boy, it looks crunchy too). I would stay away from the gow gee... it tasted mooshy, bland and leaves an unpleasant aftertaste in your mouth. Love the paper cups!
Yum! Try their satay chicken skewers or vegetarian broken rice (com tam bi suon cha trung)!
I was so happy to find this place. The flavours are amazing and I got to try many dishes I have never tried before because they are usually meat based and I am vegan. Staff were friendly and prices were very reasonable. i can't remember the Vietnamese names for the dishes but the pancake was full of flavour and 100 times better than one I tried before at the markets in Darwin. The lemon grass tofu and the salad were also very yummy and another savoury dish with white glutinous rice? Cakes with orange stuff in the middle was yummy too. They have an extensive menu as well as Pre-made take away dishes. Next time I am in Sydney I will definitely be back to try more including the famous Pho and Vietnamese filled rolls.
I love everything that I have had on te menu, especially the "duck" rolls and vegetable curry.
The staff are also great. It is a cash only restaurant, and I didn't realise this until I went to pay and only had my bank card. The lovely lady owner was not worried at all and said "that's ok- you pay next time you come!"
I couldn't believe it- I've never come across such kindness in Sydney. But I guess that is what their restaurant is all about :-)
And I did end up paying, even though she insisted on fixing up the bill another day!
One word..... DELICIOUS!
If you love vietnamese food and want a great selection to choose from, this place has amazing vegan food without compromising taste. I just need to go back more often so I can try everything on the menu.
Once you are done go around the corner store and check out Just Green Vegan foods store :)
