Basil Leaf Thai - Cairnlea - Photo album

I had the Pad Thai with tofu and vegetables ($14.90). I ate it all and was just nice, but maybe my expectations were to high and wanted to find in that dish similar flavors to the ones I tried in my trip to Thailand. This Pad Thai reached all the requirements regarding the presentation/ingredients o
Interior is surely welcoming. I ordered the calamari thai salad (medium spice) was not chilly but the fish dressing did not overpower the dish so it was good, and vege spring rolls were crisp with a bit of salad to complement. The portion was not enough for my fat belly in comparison to price so I
What a lovely local restaurant. I've ordered a few curries from here and the Thai fried rice with pineapple and chicken. They have all been amazing and mouth watering. Service and staff are amazing. Spice is on point! I love Basil Leaf Thai! (Updated review with photos)
Jay part owner is brilliant. (I am here at least twice a week) Let her decide what you will love. Best authentic thai around Melbourne with none of the hype. Love of food and the flavors that she creates are fantastic. This place needs to be discovered by your taste buds. Try the duck salad = Ex
$17 for a red curry with 3 pieces of chicken, Tom Yum soup that was missing half the ingredients..... never again.
ordered stir fry Pud Kapow with prawns for 21 AUD Pros: taste is nice. Cons: watery stir fry, and the restaurant did not send rice, saying it is not included :D never heard of that when it comes to stir fry and Asian take away food... Especially for 21 AUD :D Long story short, no value for the m
If I could give 0, I would. The chicken came cold and bland and the tamarind sauce was super salty and inedible. Absolute waste of time and money.
I ordered the pad thai and tom yum soup here, it was 10/10, always my fav. the price I find a little bit expensive than other places but it's good so I don't mind. The tom yum soup size is quite small though. The service is a little slow but they are sweet people. There is a man (I assume the owner)
