Have been told many times to try Samgasat, so we finally did and were not disappointed! We had the crunchy prawns, vege/tofu coconut curry and whole fish and they were all delicious! The whole fried fish came highly recommended from a friend and it was absolutely beautiful. It was also very! busy for a rainy Tuesday night which is a testament to their food and service :)

Best Thai food I've had in cairns so far. Authentic restaurant with gluten free options. Kitchen is open planned so you can view how things are made. Prawn starter was very good. Portion size of starters is great. Good service. Would recommend highly.

More spaces outdoors seating and indoor so much better now. We still love our dinner the same menu every time. Prawns Crunchy is amazingly delicious and Stir Fry Vegetarian also splendid. Will try new menu next time for sure. Great smiley staffs are plus points. Keep up the good work!

Me and my wife passed by Samgasat this evening, and we saw a lot of people dine inside the restaurant, so we decide to give a try.
We ordered crispy prawn for entree, namtok and roast duck with stir fry cabbage for main course which we have no idea what are those. When the food arrive on the table, we were surprised! All the food are served beautifully l and taste awesome.
I would say the menu in Samgasat are totally different with most of Thai restaurant in town. Surely will come back to try another dishes next time.
The waiting time relative fast for the entree dishes, but it takes a little bit longer for the main courses. But I totally understand because the restaurant are full seated when we were there.
Overall, me and my wife are very satisfied with what we paid for.
Samgasat, I will see you again next time! 😊

Nice meal, well priced. Uncomfortable seating. OK if your young. We had a dish with pork, not a lot of meat in it but it did have a lot of pork fat. Hard to rate this one as some dishes were much better than others. Very popular restaurant with the locals

We were in a group of six and we all ordered the best dishes on the menu. Our friends received their meals but the order for my wife and myself didnt come out. About 10 minutes later we asked the waitress to follow up our dinner. Another 15 -20 minutes later I asked the waitor what was happening as it had been nearly half an hour since our friends got theirs. The waiter said our meal wasn't included on the list and I said everyone had finished and were ready to leave. We were left not only hungry but disappointed and embarrased from the experience. We wont be back.

Visited FNQ and was blown away by the amazing food, service and reasonable prices!!! Please expand and open a restaurant in Melbourne. If we were locals we would be coming here every weekend! BYO is a bonus too.

Always Amazing Food and literally can’t fault anything. Service is always fantastic no matter how busy it is. The crispy pork and Kow Soy curry are so Amazing and authentic! We’ve taken a few friends here and everyone’s always loved their food! Love this place.
