First time to Cairns and first time visitor to Imm Thai and it was definitely everything the 35 previous reviews had said - delicious. We had 6 dishes and none of them could be faulted. Definitely worth a visit. Penang curry was my fave �����

Food- We ordered their fish cakes( It was yummy and fishy), Green chicken curry ( Lots of crunchy vegetables), Chicken laksa(Very coconutty), the portion is pretty huge. It was Thai food, but i thought it lacked spices, they had to give me separate chills
Customer service- I would say, very quick and warm customer service. The girls seem to always have a smile and look very welcoming

Ambience- Small tools to sit which can be little uncomfortable, there is no drinks available here. Very basic seating
We were in Cairns five nights and we ate here for dinner twice because it was SO good! The oyster chicken stir fry, satay chicken stir fry, sweet and sour chicken stir fry and the laksa curry were all incredible! The main lady who serves everyone is polite, friendly, efficient and a very hard worker. On our last night in Cairns we went to a nearby Vietnamese restaurant instead (for variation and to try somewhere new) and then regretted it. Should have come here again. Very reasonable prices and the tastiest food we had during our entire stay in Cairns!! The place was packed every time and it has a good Google rating for very good reason! Go and enjoy - you won't be disappointed!
Amazing food and service! The staff were so nice and accomodating. The lunch specials were such a bargain, only $10 and so delicious! The Thai milk tea was so cold and refreshing and tasty. 10/10 recommend ❤️
Ordered 8 dishes including fried rice, noodles and stir fry in addition to the starters. The food was awesome and the portions was surprisingly very good. The meat quality including beef, chicken and pork along with veggies was very good.. can recommend IMM Thai cafe to everyone.. Excellent service with a smile.. definitely coming back
It’s the best of the best Thai food! super authentic and mouthwatering!!! Seafood fried rice and fried chilli fish , Tom yum soup is the best ever. Will definitely come back again for my next visit in Cairns:)
Very tasty food and such good value, I ordered take away and these containers are very full. Friendly service, they also get very busy with people dining in and getting take away. Very good food!
Very popular Thai food place. Right next to the night market. If you come in a big group, make sure to book for table. Food cook fresh so you need to wait for a bit depends on the dish. Take away available.
Good:
Cheap and cheerful for a hot spot.
Beef tendon noodle soup is very good.
Tiger steak hot plate is great. Nice zesty sauce.
Omelette nice and not burnt 👍
Careful the Tom yum is spicy so decide your level carefully.
Not too good:
Restaurant a bit small, so table and chair not too comfortable.
The Thai ice tea is a bit weak.
The pork mince in the salad is not as good as we would like.
Conclusion:
Overall, a decent place to have some food before/after the the night market walk.
Tips:
Park somewhere else and then walk over to the market area. The car park near the market is impossible to find at peak hours.
Take away is not bad to eat in the comfort of your hotel room and avoid all the hassle of waiting and sitting in.
Enjoyed our dinner, Thai spicy can be very hot so bear that in mind when they ask how hot you want your dish to be~
