After a few days in Palm Cove we feel like a proper Chinese dinner so decided to give Tim Hei a try after reading all these good reviews. What a mistake! We had the Crispy Roast Pork Entree, Roast Duck, Salt & Pepper Squids and Special Fried Rice. All four dishes has a kind of weird taste which I can’t figure out but just a little odd and unpleasant! The Roast Pork although crispy but tasted like a refried old pork not freshly roasted on the day. The fried rice tasted like it was cooked with old/reused oil. The Salt & Pepper Squid was coated with some odd yellow spice mix that we didn’t like. The Roast Duck was drenched in an odd tasting sauce and a little tough/undercooked. We can’t eat more than two pieces! Sorry to say this but definitely one of the worst meal we had anywhere.

Friendly and the kind of Cantonese style place that’s hard to find in Sydney these days. Portions are great and affordable. Good for lunch.

Very authentic Chinese food cooked extremely well. Very fresh. Sichuan dishes were spot on. Recommend spicy fish - if you are a fan of this dish, you will be very satisfied.

First time been here and really suprised with the taste. I had Pork Roast and the meat was very juicy with cracking skin, soooo Amazing!!! The best Pork Roast ever that I've try. I would recommend that. Also had Honey BBQ Pork and that also amazing! But I still love Roast Pork one. Very friendly staff. The shop wasn't that big but they had a few table. I would definitely will come back and recommend this to my friend :)

I ordered honey chicken tonight for my daughters dinner as I had a very long day at work. I had never done do before despite considering supporting this business for a long time. I am a local and would consider using this place regularly. When I got home I had to make dinner anyway as the container contained about 5% if that chicken and the rest was batter. Very deceptive, inconside and simply a waste of money. I subsequently had to make dinner for my child.

Hands down the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, nothing has even come close to the quality of Tim Hei’s! I would travel from Melbourne weekly to go here if I could. Very homely type of restaurant too where you felt very welcome by the couple working there, if you’re nearby (or even if you’re not) go and try Tim Hei’s you won’t be disappointed!
