Came to Cairns for family holiday, had dinner here one night and came back another time. Great food and exceptional friendly service. Great options for kids for dinner for $10 you can't beat that anywhere! Highly recommend this place to everyone!

Smithfield Tavern is our favourite dining place every time we come up north & it's not far from Palm Cove where we're staying. That garlic bread was to die for, everything was gone. It was that good. Great service, warm & friendly atmosphere. It won't be our last!

Wandered into the Smithfield Tavern tonight for the first time in a while and had a lovely meal. The food was good but moreover the staff were excellent. The guy behind the bar was genuinely friendly and welcoming and when we went through to have our meal the man at the register was just as friendly. Terrific attitudes and really made the evening - thank you 😊

Always been our local go to for a pub meal, while the staff are still lovely and helpful, the new ordering system is terrible, can't order at the counter anymore with cash and had to use the stupid QR code which my phone does not register so I couldn't actually order. Lucky I was with someone else who paid for our meals. Really disappointed in the new system, you need to have both options!

We had a very nice meal at the Smithfield Tavern, the food was well cooked and the staff friendly. The only draw back was the ordering system, l like to have a menu bought to my table and have the specials relayed to me by a person. If you donot have a smart phone you would be snookered. Other wise a pleasant evening.

The new payment system at the bistro is intrusive but the staff are professional and attentive and my son and I always talk about how good the steak is for days after we eat here. All forms of payment should be accepted it just doesn't make sense when put into practice, my feeling is management in head offices have lost touch with reality and should engage with staff and customers. I feel for the kitchen during busy times when every table puts there order in at once, at least with table service waitstaff can spread the orders out. This new system will lead to undue stress and high staff turnover because it's flawed.

The staff are always so friendly and smiling it's a pleasure to come down for a beer, the food is to die for and now they have bought out those new burgers yummo and the selection of sauces is wonderful I have like 10 different ones each time I eat love it

Tonight I dined in the tavern and ordered the Atlantic salmon, it was one of the most beautiful pieces of salmon I have ever eaten. The array of sautéed seasonal potatoes, asparagus, broccioleene and cherry tomatoes accompanied the salmon in the up most highest degree of perfection. I would highly recommend this experience. The children’s meal was defiantly filling and very well priced all round.

My partner and I both just had the most amazing lunch at this tavern. He had the blackened Barra and I had the chicken Camembert. The service was fantastic, nothing was too hard even though we ordered pretty much at 2pm. Highly rate this pub.

Horrible. Dont eat there. Terrible food but the service was what ruined everything. After constantly messing up our order the staff turned nasty when asked to fix it. It got to the point where they were being openly rude infront of other customers when we asked for it replaced...eye rolling etc.... Then upon leaving we endured muttered abuse from a very rude waitress..Place should be shut down

Thanks to your chefs and staff today for a well organized Melb Cup lunch. Food was faultless as always. Absolutely delicious. The fella on the speaker did a wonderful job too. All for an amazing price! Best cup yet.

Well we have just left Smithfield Graziers and will probably never return again. The worst meal ever. Oysters kilpatrick were unappetising, looked like dirty dish water instead of a nice thick kilpatrick sauce. Then our mains came, everything was cold with chips that had been sitting around for far too long. The lady that works there was fabulous in trying to make things right. When the food came out the second time, the chips were nice a hot but not the rest of the meals, the creamy sauce on the steak although didn't taste too bad, was split and Luke warm. The steaks used to be so good there but the last visit and this one, they were chewy and hard to swallow. Now, you would think that being a pub, the drinks at least would be good!! The staff insist on scooping the ice with the glass, and I am not sure why it is my place to educate their staff EVERYTIME we go there!! The lime had so many fruit flies and tasted bad. The so called manager just stood by and let his staff take all the heat, he made no effort to come over to talk to us. We want no compensation, we just won't be back.

Why offer a courtesy bus service when you have no intention of coming to collect us. Waited well over an hour with hungry kids, we had our table booked for 6. When we rang to find out where they were they just said it was a busy night. Not happy, very disappointed and disgusted. If I could give 0 stars I would. 😡

My partner and I just had dinner here and it was amazing. he had a steak that had onion rings and chicken wings on top and I had a chicken snitty. staff were friendly had conversations with you made you laugh, great atmosphere. was a good price and he is already planning the next time we go back.

Disgusting that my parents who are part of a social motor cycle group were removed from the premises today! Just because a group of people are dressed in protective gear (leather) are treated as if they are 'bikies'. Never will I recommend your tavern or visit again.
