Came here for a Friday lunch.
Ordered the fish tacos and was left unsatisfied, the fish pieces were very small, as if it were high grade lobster and had to be used sparingly.
Very underwhelming.
The beer selection was good, service was friendly and the views of the lagoon were impressive which prevented a lower rating being given.
Just give better portions in future is what I'd be expecting.

It's overpriced. I got the pulled pork tacos and they were dry and the mango chili margarita is not even tasty. Better to save money and come on taco tuesday so you spend $4 on a taco. Best to get drunk here but nothing good eating wise if you sober

The staff is amazing. I randomly stopped to have a cocktail. I didn’t see anything on the regular drink menu, so I asked for something tropical and with rum. The main bartender overheard my request and said I will fix you up. A short time later my drink appeared and it was fabulous and and refreshing and served in a glass labeled with my favorite rum printed on the outside. I ordered another and departed afterward. I returned a few hours later wanting another. But the original creator had left for the day, and nobody could figure out what I had earlier. One of the bartenders overheard and said he would contact the original guy and get the recipe. It happened just like that I had my cocktail pleasure in front of me. Now that’s going the extra mile. And at regular drink price. Wow! Thank you bar staff at The Courtyard.

Have been here before a while a go and it was great... Not so much this time round.
Ordered a kids nuggets, hot dog and chicken burger, and paid for our food at 1150am then at 1220 pm I got up to get another beer and saw the food starting to get put up on the pass. I ordered another beer then mentioned to the staff that we were still waiting on food.
The response was "oh it's only us 2 here and they have just dinged the bell so it won't be too long" it wasn't very busy and we had ordered well before more people had turned up. There were 2 staff in the kitchen as well.
When the food arrived the chips we're cold and stale, with far too much seasoning. Chicken burger was O.K. at best and the hot dog was well.. not hot! It had been sitting under the pass lights (or no lights) for long enough that, the mustard had a crust, the snag ends we're dry, the melted cheese had solidified and the bun was rock hard.
If it wasn't for the cold beer, it would of been a 1 star.

Great restaurant along the Esplanade in Cairns. We had the Tuesday taco night special and the tacos we got were great. Staff were friendly and the cocktails were also nice.

Good location, friendly staff and the food was tasty however the tacos very expensive for how small they were.
Ordered prawn tacos for $15 and received 2 tacos with little filling and 2 small prawns in each, expected more for the price. Also had the loaded chipotle chicken fries for $2 more
which was delicious and much better value for money.

Beautiful view of the ocean and the lagoon. We came on Tuesday they $4 Tacos on offer all day. Excellent service staff was very attentive, friendly and efficient. The food was well presented and quick to arrive. We ordered the the Grilled Chicken El Pollo and Flank Steak Asado Carne. The chicken was dry and over cooked. The flank steak was even worst it was overcooked and chewy. We were going to try their taco however we decided not too after two failed dishes . Pretty disappointing. I was pretty impressed from the start but food wise was a flopped. Not recommended.

My partner and I enjoyed an early dinner on a Saturday afternoon. The weather was pleasant, people were out and about and The Courtyard had a few larger groups outside. We ordered two chicken burgers and drinks at the bar, it took roughly 40 minutes for food to come out. The burgers were delicious, large and well balanced in flavour and texture, however, the shoestring fries were covered in a BBQ seasoning and were quite dry and more on the sweet side. Ask for sauce if you're not into dry fries.
Tables were quick to be cleared and staff were very pleasant. I would definitely go again to try the tacos.

Ive been here twice and both times were great. The chicken burger and mac n cheese were amazing. The staff were great and so friendly! Such a great spot and the vibe in the placw is just perfect! Such a relaxing place to have lunch or dinner. We will definitely be going back!

The place looks great. The wings were good and spicy but could have come with a small side of slaw or chips for the price I paid.
The staff were friendly but they stuffed up our order and the food didn't come out altogether so some of my friends had finished their meal before I even got mine.
The drinks are a bit over priced but we're really nice. The bar staff were a little slow making the cocktails.
I'm not an overly fussy person so I still enjoyed my time there because even though the staff need some improving on their efficiency, they were really nice which made up for it.
I'll be back again.

We've been here for 3 days and we've come back 3 times. We love the ambience, the beer selection, and the cocktails. We just had the vegetarian nachos and they were super tasty and light. Staff are friendly and inviting and the prices are very reasonable. Would recommend this place for anyone who wants to avoid loud and rowdy crowds.

Best food we had whilst we were here, perfect (brioche) bun to burger ratio and by far the best fries and wings we've had. Loved it every time we came here, which was a lot!
Closest burger you'll get to the USA style of goodness & flavour - the Chicken burger had the perfect crunch & the cheeseburger had so much flavour. Thank you, we'll be back every time we visit here!

Really enjoyed having lunch here, the place has a really good vibe about it and the staff are very efficient. There was a stuff up with my burger but I didn't mind it's just lucky I like spicy food haha

Arrived 7ish really busy waited a while but as I said really busy atmosphere was great. Drinks tower arrived and we had a malfunction drink everywhere staff couldn't have been more helpful. Replacement tower arrived. Food was awesome and the schnitzel meal was huge. All in all great night. Thanks guys

Consistancy has dropped so much since first opened. Bar tender didnt tell me the blender was broken so instead she shook my cocktail and told me its the same thing. So as a chef its not the same. And even the food has dropped no passion in the kitchen as it shows in the food. Sorry but when you were first open it was great. But now everything has dropped even staff going across the road to chat to people to having the unattended bar which i have photos to proove.

Great spot. The place is nice as but the staff made it for us. Lucas behind the bar was particularly awesome. Cheeseburger spring rolls were delicious. Plus I beat my wife at Connect Four. 10/10 team!
