Tried them 6 months ago and was not impressed. Including attitude. But decided to give them another go today only because it was convenient and could not believe the difference. The customer service was great and the food was nothing short of delicious. Beautiful burgers and perfectly cooked fish and chips. It was a pleasurable experience on every level. I definitely intend to go back again and this time it won't be 6 months in between. Thank you for a wonderful lunch.

Best Value Fish & Chip shop in Cairns! The lot burgers are the real deal, they are big, and taste so good. The battered mackerel is my favourite, don't forget to ask for it! Also you must try the crumbed calamari, super tender and honestly the best I have ever eaten. The staff are super friendly and always keep the food to a high standard. Exactly what the Dr ordered when you are in the mood for some serious food!

While staying in cairns we got hot chips,great value so decided to give their burgers a try.
We like good old fashioned burgers. My partner got the works with no beetroot,it was even written on the bag so when he opened it and it had stacks on there that's where we became disappointed.we had to drive all the way back and wait for a new burger to be made. My partner is a chef,sorry just doesn't cut it when it was a simple mistake.
Potato scallops were delicious and crispy.

First of all I just want to say we have eaten many, many times from this shop and NEVER had a bad meal. Until tonight. My hubby has been away for 5 days and we decided to get takeaway from here. To celebrate his return. He ordered 2 potato scallops and 2 dimsims and a small chips. I order 3 prawn cutlets and 2 sea scallops. Everything except the chips was very dark and overcooked. The sea scallops were extremely tough and inedible. The prawns not much better but were no longer the delicious garlicky flavour they'd had in the past. Despite the colour of the batter hubby said the potato wasn't cooked properly. The chips were their usual yummy crispy standard.
What has happened! I have always promoted this shop as the best fish and chip shop in Cairns and believe me, I've tried most of them.
Why didn't I take them back? Because we are at the northern beaches and it was bucketing down so I really didn't want to drive back there.
I truly hope this was a one off and next time will be back to its usual high standard. I'll give it one more chance.

The biggest fish burger in my life. The fish is juice and crunchy for $9 only. It is very good for value and one of the best burger in Cairns. Unfortunately, no air con in the shop...
