Review Mountain View Hotel - Cairns

I was told to stop in a great lil pub on the way to the tablelands.... well not too glad I did.... the food was horrible sorry guys I know its under new ownership but won't last long travelling in this direction. Wings are the easiest food to cook yet were drier than aged beef jerky. chips old and dry.

A great place to catch up with some old school friends from Sydney. A wonderful lunch and great setting, thanks heaps

Been here few times. Always like it. Bit A bit dissapointed on our last visit. Snitzels are a bit burnt and the mushroom sauce doesn't taste like mushroom sauce. Sorry.

My Partner and I went for Dinner at The Mountain View Hotel tonight and we're blown away by how wonderful the experience was. Our meals were without fault and the service is second to none- especially from one of the bar staff in particular- Emily. Emily was friendly, helpful and very accommodating- she made the experience really stand out and we will definitely be back regularly.

Friendly Pub. Meals are great value. Beers were cold 🍻🍻 Will be back! 😁

Lovely spot for lunch sitting out the back overlooking the river. Service was quick and meals were good. Make sure you bring your appetite if you order the schnitzel.

Excellent hotel, food was great, beer was cold, service very good. Great place to eat out the back on the deck with views over the river. There was 10 of us and everything was on point. Will be going back again.

The great atmosphere is back at the Mountain View with the new owners! Great friendly service, for a drink or dinner with the family. Will definitely be back more often! Highly recommend.

Was 15years ago here, all the way from Holland(europe)..... So i was really suprised that nothing was changed only a new great decking ! Was a pleasure to be here again ,such a nice place and view over de little river and all the birds in the sky...�

Great hotel with a wonderful owner who was more than happy to chat about the pub n the region, food was lovely and the drinks bloody cheap, beer n wine $10 nearly fell over 😂😂😂

Worst service I have recieved, EVER. Waited 1 hr and 20 min to get the WRONG pizza. I understand the computers were down, but there was no communication while we waited. When I asked about our order 40 min in, I was told our docket had only JUST been sent to the kitchen, but not told how much longer we'd be waiting. I wanted to ask, but the waitress chose to attend to the other patrons first despite my partner and I being the first order off the rank for dinner. When I asked for a refund the lady who took my order rushed out with our pizza in a box and at first glance it appeared correct; BUT after eating one slice we realised it was the wrong pizza. The lady then tried telling me that what was in my box was correct. Upon reminding her that their vegetarian pizza, according to their menu, was supposed to have capsicum, sundried tomato, spinach and fetta - all of which were absent from our pizza, were we then given a refund but no apology for a series of mistakes on their behalf. It really felt like our patronage did not matter in the slightest. Left hungry and with a bitter taste in our mouths, since by this point we were tired, over it and still had an hours drive home.

Had the mountain view burger at lunch today 11out of 10 ��

Yes totally agree with recent reviews of little mulgrave hotel. The food is great the atmosphere is even better. Makes for a great night out.

Unfortunately the only recommendation I can make, is to avoid this place like the plague.

First time I have been there and will be going back time after time. The food was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was awesome. Glad to see a place that had fantastic atmosphere
