Review Coffee Bean Estate - Cairns

Beautiful coffee roasted in house, I had a soy latte and got an extra shot because I love coffee and it was still smooth, nutty and delicious. I wanted an alternative to traditional heavy and expensive eggs Benedict and a bit of sweet too - the eggs Benedict on a waffle was perfect! Crunchy sweet waffle with crispy juicy bacon on a light bed of sauteed spinach with a poached egg and generous serve of hollandaise on top! Yum!! Great for a lighter but still delicious alternative 😋

Waited over 40 just to get one out of two coffees and when we asked how much longer the other coffee and food was going to be no one could tell us so we asked for our money back and the old grumpy lady I am assuming she is the manger tried to argue with us saying well there more patient but who would wait 40 minutes just for there coffee and God knows how long for the rest of our order I would not recommend going here as just about everyone else was complaining about the same issue and they weren't that busy she was trying to be smart about it and saying stuff like good luck finding somewhere else well guess what i attended another Cafe that was much busier and I was able to order and eat in less then 40 minutes what a surprise. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Such a lovely spot. After not being here for quite some time, it was such a surprise to be greeted by the owner using my first name and embarrassing for me I had forgotten her name. Sorry. 3 of us ordered coffees and breakfast. The size of the servings was fantastic and the coffees delicious. Being a local I often eat out at various cafes and prices are getting a bit out of reach. Not at the Coffee Bean, great value for money and it was such a pleasure having our breakfast here. Definitely recommend to locals and visitors alike. 😊😊

When we first walked in. Staff appeared to look like it was an inconvenience to them to get customers. The lady that took our orders was rude.(Long dark hair with plaits) Cabinet with lots of muffins- told us none where left when we asked for one. Scone, banana bread and cake were not fresh at all- take even. When food was delivered to table- we asked if the kids milk shake had been made - as we wanted to ask for it to be put in takeaway cup- before we could even get a question out staff said “I only have 2 hands” very snappy. Same lady who took orders. Will not be going back. Terrible service and even worse food. Get another job if you don’t want to work there. Simple and disappointing. Seems to be the coffee Beans set culture…

I actually didn’t get to buy anything as they weren’t open. I checked the open time was 6:30am on their website. I was there waiting for them to open. Not a staff member in sight. I travelled quite far as I had heard great things about their coffee blends. I ended up after twenty minutes of waiting having to leave to get to work on time. Please update your website if indeed you don’t open at this time. Quite disappointed.

Breakfast was very disappointing as a cairns local will definetly NOT be back. The young girl taking my order did not want to be there it was written all over her face no customer service. Coffee was luke warm and just tasted like warm milk. I ordered Canadian pancakes with bacon and maple syrup I laughed when I saw them. Charged me $16.95 for the pancakes which was approx 7cm in diameter see a pic of pancakes attached. We were charged $5 for one piece of bacon each.My husbands waffle tasted stale and old and a bit funny.

Ordered ginger berry iced tea. Drink was tepid, had to ask them to add some ice. Was informed it was freshly brewed, but she did add an ice cube which melted by the time I got back to the table. So the top 2 cms was cool and the rest just off room temp. Not pleasant at all on a hot day. Decided to leave it, but let them know why. Was again lectured that the tea was brewed fresh. Seriously, if you are advertising iced tea, the drink probably needs to have ice in it, or at least be served cold. My husband ordered a coffee and banana bread which was ok. Main reason for the low rating is the complete lack of courtesy of the staff once I let them know the drink wasn't cold. No apology, no offer of a replacement, no acknowledgement that maybe this customer was right to expect iced tea to actually be cold. Poor customer service.

Edit: Very rude responses to all of your customers, hopefully management can start to think about better service instead of taking up their brain space with ways to drive even more customers away? My partner and I decided to eat here on good Friday because everywhere else was really busy and this was the only Cafe that didn't have too many customers (my bad, I should've known by the lack of customers that it wasn't going to be a good experience) We waited over 40 minutes to 1 hour and finally received 1 of our drinks and asked how long our other drinks and food will be and didn't get an answer. We then asked for a refund as we were starving and didn't want to wait god knows how long. The manager tried telling us to be more patient, but she couldn't tell us how long until we receive our order. She finally gave us our refund while laughing at us and making nasty comments, saying good luck finding somewhere else to eat. We are now at the Candy Cafe Bar on Grafton st and have already received our coffee and food and its amazing, so thank you for the good advice manager Lady, driving customers away is always a great business strategy :) please read other reviews before deciding whether or not to dine here, we wish we did. Some of their reviews are from over a year ago and those people have had the same bad experience that we have, so there is clearly no intention of this place improving. There's a right and wrong way to deal with unhappy customers and this place has got it all wrong.

Went for lunch today with my wife,she ordered burger and fries, 2 coffees and scones cream and jam for herself. The waitress arrived with coffees then my burger. No fries. Wife ask where is scone but waitress forgot to place order.Fries arrived after I ate burger. Cost $32 for burger sml. Fries 2 coffees,rip off.will never go back!!!

Disappointed. All our coffee's where cold, mentioned to staff and was told that they are made at 60 degrees C. Coffee should be served at 71-85 degrees C. More training is needed here. Had to get extra hot water to make them a little bearable to drink. As a town local within walking distance, I will not choose this place again.<br/>

Would love to add a review, but when we tried to visit at 5.30 on a Friday evening, it was very, very closed. So much for the published opening hours. <br/>

The best place to chill and get a coffee or snack near the Shangri-La complex by the lagoon. Inside and outside areas, good selection of cabinet food, plenty of comfy seating and a great atmosphere make this one of the best cafes in Cairns. The iced latte was superb, the service quick and efficient. Definitely worth stopping at since there aren't many cafes in that area...

Part of the Shangri la complex facing the park so it was handy for me to get a coffee fix here after not being able to get one in the Horizon Club. Quite a relaxing spot with wooden interiors & bags of coffee beans scattered in the middle centrepiece with bric a brac thrown in! Coffee I had in a mug (which I do not normally do) Thought it might be safer to have the double shot in a mug as the smaller cup might have been too small for the double. Coffee was passable but there are better places in Cairns

I went 2 times and the attention is so good, very nice people ... The first time I order a smoothie and was delicious!<br/><br/>The second time I was so tired and I was very wet because it has rained a lot and they was so nice to me, so friendly that I feel so happy! We order a latte and a apple pie and it was amazing! <br/><br/>They have coffee for different parts of the world include Colombia.... I was happy to see part of my country there ... Thanks for the people that work there because your smile make me so happy!<br/>

Ordered poached eggs on toast. 2 poached eggs on plate with 4 pieces of " home brand" toast smotherd in not nice taste butter or margarine on the side. The eggs weren't even placed on the toast. The coffee was horrible and sat on the counter while the staff attended to takeaways.
