Review Thai Diamond Caloundra - Caloundra

The cook and server were lovely. Unfortunately the meal didn't measure up to the service. We ordered: - Coconut Rice - Satay Skewers - Mongolian Beef Coconut Rice: Reheated from fridge, cold in the centre. Didn't taste like coconut in the rice, perhaps the only part that was coconut was the toasted coconut pieces on the top. Satay Skewers: Fantastic satay sauce that was well balanced and authentic. Unfortunately the chicken was either re-fried or overcooked as the consistency of the chicken was dry in most parts and only moist in some of the chicken. Mongolian Beef: Once again a fantastic sauce that was well-balanced and authentic in flavour. Unfortunately the beef was chewwy and seemed too fragrant indicating maybe old beef. The carrot had been previously frozen with the mushy outside taste you get of frozen food, and confirmed by the one frozen piece my wife received. Our Exit: Once again friendly staff, they seemed concerned though that we were leaving early. We ordered at 6:15, received our food around 6:22 and were out the door at 6:27. They asked my wife how we found it, and she mentioned that the rice was cold in the center. The response was "oh ok" and no offer of compensation nor did they ask if anything else was the matter. This was unfortunate because we had decent and detailed feedback from them, but couldn't stay to rectify the situation as we were close to having to go to a concert nearby. Summary: Good flavours in the sauce but as good as reheated fridge and frozen food could be. Staff were friendly but unfortunately the food ruined our first date in several months. Won't be returning but hope they start serving fresh foods as that would bring things back from the brink.

Meals very small for large price. Very disappointed in our dining experience tonight as our meals were small, 5 small pieces of beef in our massaman, barely any chicken in satay and chilli duck was maybe a small thighs worth. Don't bother with the chicken fried rice as it was a tasteless gummy small mound on a plate. Duck was about $27 for not much on a plate - small entree at best. Save your money people and go elsewhere. Owner's response to my feedback was read my reviews - I judged what was on my plate. I think he may write his own reviews.

Delicious massamun beef, stir-fry chilli duck and stir-fry chicken and vegetables with oyster sauce. Nice big servings, full of flavour and excellent service. Lovely meal. Would come again! Thank you! Gave mum a good Thai experience and for someone who doesn't often try new cuisines, she said it was wonderful! Mum, Dad and I loved it.

Delicious home made food, fresh, tasty, very polite and attentive staff, great customer service. One of my favorite places to have Thai food. Definitely recommended!

We had table of 7. All our vegetables were cold they didn't seem to care. Our fault we didn't realize it was 1 bill for everybody but it wasn't busy and it spoilt our night the carry on to get our bill paid. Sorry there are better thai restaurants in caloundra.

Delicious food with large portion sizes and very helpful and friendly staff. Thank you for a wonderful dinner! The creamy satay is amazing.

I was a take away customer. I found the food ok. Pricing is excessive for the amount of food. Nothing like " Blue Orchid " which is cheaper and better. I won't be coming back unless it's better value. Restaurant is clean and found the staff to be .....well Quiet..like Thai.

Great lunch surprising find in caloundra. We found the meals made of fresh seafood and vegetables lovely sauces , definatly be back. Cost reasonable, does have lunchtime specials, this is what I had.
