Review Fiorelli - Camberwell

Angel Khong
Fiorelli served modern Italian food in a rather traditional, semi-fine dining setting. I ordered the risotto for main, and chocolate soufflé for dessert. The risotto was creamy and had a nice texture that was not too soft. The hot chocolate souffle was fresh out of the oven, fluffy, rich, and was nicely paired with a vanilla ice cream. Both dishes were simply the perfect comfort food. Service was pretty good too, and it was a nice venue for large gatherings/functions.

An institution in Camberwell. Always greeted with a smile, service is impeccable and food is so fresh and flavoursome. One of the best restaurants in Melbourne.

Good Italian in a perfect location for before or after the cinema (across the road) in Camberwell. We dined as a group of 6 and got friendly attentive service from a waiting team who were knowledgeable about their food and drinks menu. Food wise I enjoyed the crumbed veal. I had been craving something like this all week and wasn’t disappointed. My mussels entree was sadly not as enjoyable as the broth was super salty for my taste so I wasn’t rewarded with a flavoursome finale to my mussel scooping. Others in the table enjoyed their bruschetta and arancini combo for entree. We had a good Italian wine and the cocktails looks spectacular. Others on the table enjoyed the seafood fettuccine, pumpkin risotto, and at least a couple of good steaks. We toyed with the idea of a chocolate soufflé but decided on the lemon tart. The tart was delicious but then we saw the chocolate soufflé being brought out for another table and were filled with FOMO.

The risotto is hands down one of the best I’ve had so far, offering the expected amount of creaminess and flavour overall. The chocolate soufflé is light and airy which I quite liked too. The ambience, the food options as well as the service makes Fiorelli a wonderful place for a lovely dinner (date) and more!

Main meals were good, nice atmosphere and friendly staff but was super disappointed in the souffle... Looked really cool when it came out with a high top bouncy look but once you dig into it only the top it slightly cooked to keep in tact, and underneath is super soggy and wet. My impression of a nice souffle is still cakey at the top with a gooey airy centre. We pretty much had a spoon full each and left it like the photo.

We had two pasta, it was quite good.

Mushroom porcini pasta was a great vegeterian option and a must try. The Pumpkin rissotto was delightful. Tiramisu and chocolate pudding was definitly worth the wait after eating the main courses. All in all this id a must try restaurant and i will definitely be coming back.

Had an excellent experience, all foods were just as in house. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

This place was amazing. Everything I wanted my girlfriend and I to experience. This place had a great atmosphere, good service and great food and wine. Prices were reasonable too for the experience you get!

Awful restaurant. Food was bland and sooooo beyond overpriced. Feel like the food should be free it was that bad. The salmon was so under cooked and I’m fairly confident the risotto was heated in the microwave.
Felt like if I went in the kitchen it would have been filthy and unhygienic. Definately wasn’t Italians in the kitchen cooking these meals.

Service was beyond terrible. We are first time parents and went out for dinner for the first time since the baby was born. Asked for boiling water to heat milk for the baby. The wait staff did other things and I had to ask multiple times. 2 staff the. got the manager involved who was also beyond useless and it was over 12 minutes before I got boiling water and basically had to plead to them for it. 12 minutes to a crying baby is an eternity and I was stressing I couldn’t feed her. Am so scarred but this experience I won’t be going out for a while again with the baby. I didn’t realise boiling water was so difficult.

Lovely restaurant with delicious food and service. The only downside was that the creme brulee was on the eggy side, leaving no room for the vanilla bean flavour to come through. Fantastic otherwise!

OMG. I had such a great night there. Although the sauce of the mussels was too salty, but besides that everything was just perfect. The waiters and waitresses were very patient and good looking. The steak was very delicious, and the prawn risotto is the dish u MUST have. We had souffle and tiramisu as dessert. The souffle definitely worth a "WOW". Looking forward to going back there try some more!

Enjoyed a wonderful dining experience here for a friends birthday! Hadn’t been here before though i have lived in Camberwell for years! The food here is delicious, and the dining experience is elegant and relaxing. The staff are friendly, and were very kind to offer suggestions for my friends dietary restrictions!

Wow! They’ve preserved some incredible history here. From the facade to the deliciously authentic food I felt transported - the vibe here feels so genuine with their incredibly accommodating staff! The calamari and the seafood linguine were so generously portioned and packed with so much flavour. I’ll definitely be back again! Put this on your list of your feeling like a beautifully cooked Italian meal! (Will be adding photos soon!)

Fiorelli is consistently one of the best restaurants in Camberwell!
All of the staff are very knowledge, friendly and helpful.
The duck and the gnocchi are absolute standout meals, not to mention the famous chocolate soufflé.
Couldn't recommend Fiorelli more!

The food here was amazing! And whats more impressive was the service from the staff here. Really impressed with their service.

We had the calamari, prawns and hand cut potatoes for starters. And for mains we had the roast duck, pesto pasta and gnocchi. The duck and pesto pasta were cooked nicely. But i wish the gnocchi could have been cooked alittle more al dente..

For dessert we had the sticky date pudding, creme brulee and hot choco souffle!

Overall, everything was good and we really enjoyed our dinner here! Worth the try!

Really nice restaurant with an interesting food offering on the menu and reasonable prices. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The veal had a really nice sauce and the mushroom provided a nice touch.

The positives: the smoked salmon pasta
The ok: chocolate soufflé
The negative: the oysters, the veal medallions, the arancini

Regrettably, seeing the other reviews available we decided to check this place out. I honestly hope this was an off night for them.

The oysters we had for starter were cold, they were supposed to be cooked with garlic and chilli but you could not taste any flavour at all. We didn’t eat it and left it barely touched, the waitress came took the plate and did not even ask or acknowledge that the food had been untouched.

We order a bottle or wine and some cocktails, to share before we ordered starters, however they ended up coming after starters had been served. The bottle of Pinot Gris was left on the bar bench until I realised and asked whether it could be put in ice or in a fridge to keep it cold.

The veal medallions were completely tasteless and looked more like meat you would get at a hot pot than a restaurant meal (maybe we have different definitions for medallion).

The highlight of the night was the smoked salmon pasta. Well seasoned and actually enjoyable to eat.

The chocolate soufflé was ok.

It was not a nice experience and will avoid coming back.

Most delicious food I've had in a long time! We ordered several dishes and everything was high quality, tasty and we'll presented. Cocktails were also amazing. Definitely will be back!

I’ve been for dinner many times over the years and it is always a truly wonderful experience.

Steve and the team are always most welcoming and with some great options including the antipasto selection, steak or seafood, I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t been to enjoy what this fabulous restaurant has to offer!
Littlefoodiekiki
This lovely restaurant is one of our local favourite modern italian places to dine. The mains are of generous size and flavours are just right. If you enjoy lamb, Fiorellis tomato based lamb stew is fantastic. Their Atlantic salmon with mash potatoes and snow peas was lovely with the salmon not been too oily or dry like other restaurants. Our favourite Italian desserts at Fiorelli are the classic Tiramasu and Pannacotta with berries.

Atmosphere is nice. Love the kind service and beautiful plating. Seafood is very fresh and my preference. Dessert is so cute that keeping shaking, fluffy that felt like a cup of hot chocolate when it melt in mouth.

Went into Fiorelli restaurant last night, had the sea food marinara and my husband had the Mistero, both were excellent and delicious! Food wait was a little long but well worth it! Excellent service all round, staff was very friendly and our server Jacky was very personable and attentive! Will definitely be coming back again!!

Had beautiful dinner at Fiorelli on weekday night. I loved their atmosphere, and staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered garlic shrimps as a starter, and eyefillet steak and salmon cream pasta as mains. All dishes were delicious but their baguette with olive oil and balsamic vinegar was exceptional!! Would be better if the serving was a bit faster.

For the second time in a month, Carole and I found ourselves at Fiorelli, which we didn’t mind a bit. Fiorelli is a splendid restaurant for great food with many, tasty selections. It is near impossible not to find a course to interest everyone present. The beautiful signature dish - the chocolate soufflé must not be overlooked – it is outstanding. There is also an excellent selection of wines and other drinks.

The decor of Fiorelli is both exciting and peaceful. From the lovely Italianate entrance your eye is led to the beautifully presented and well-stocked bar. It is pleasantly roomy and comfortable - you are not a sardine here!

Food is very fresh, (always a big point scorer for us), is quality from start to finish, and is very well presented.

The first time around, I had the olives to get things underway, (they were great) and then the crumbed calamari as my entrée. Carole chose not to have an entrée but saved herself for dessert. Her main course of Atlantic salmon was superb - she enjoyed every mouthful. On the other hand, I had the duck and mushroom risotto, which I thoroughly enjoyed; it was delicious, beautifully cooked and not to be faulted.

Carole enjoyed the strawberry crêpes for dessert, (and they looked scrumptious). I just had to try the chocolate soufflé and let me tell you; no words could describe it apart from saying it is a solid recommendation to anyone who enjoys chocolate, who enjoys soufflés, and who goes to Fiorelli, without question, should try the soufflé.

The second time around we went with a party of six. The calamari was extremely popular with all of our dining companions and was a very popular entrée. No question about it, it is done beautifully, and it’s a delight to eat.

The main courses were split between Atlantic salmon, the crumbed veal, prosciutto chicken, roasted duck and veal mushroom and bacon. So, it was varied amongst all of our companions. Each one commented about their meal with each thinking their course was delicious. Could not pick a fault with the presentation, the quality, the flavours and textures of their main course.

Some were sufficiently replete not to bother with dessert but then others of us who couldn’t resist and those who couldn’t resist all enjoyed soufflé as discussed above and also the strawberry pancakes. There was no difference in quality this time to last. The pancakes looked delicious, and the Chocolate Souffle, it has to be tied down to the serving plate lest it floats away, it is so light and delectable.

We all enjoyed a mixture of wines, including a pleasant Katnook cabernet sauvignon, a pinot grigio and a sauvignon blanc - each delicious in its particular way and pleased the person who consumed it.

Table service is excellent – Chris and Rebecca were a great help; Rebecca patiently explained the menu which made choosing very simple. Importantly, we did not wait long for our meals.

Cost is most reasonable and will please anyone on a tight budget, especially considering the high-quality food presented.

Our congratulations to all of the staff involved in making our evening so pleasant.

Great ambiance to the restaurant. Staff are extremely friendly and professional. Food was delicious and served in a timely fashion. I really enjoyed my experience at this venue.

Myself and my partner visited Fiorelli for date night, overall an excellent experience, the gnocchi we ordered to share as an entree was absolutely perfect form the creamy melt in your mouth texture of the gnocchi itself, the perfectly balanced tomato sauce which was neither acidic nor sweet, to the huge flavours from the olives, honestly the best I’ve tasted. A stand out dish. We also had a tiramisu which was light and flavourful, the half duck which was delicious although I wasn’t a fan of the big pile of tangy spinach, and the eye fillet which was cooked perfectly medium as we wanted and had a beautiful rich jus which complimented the char wonderfully. Decor and general feel of the restaurant is timeless and elegant, much nicer than in the photos, the chairs were also super comfy which was a big pro! My only criticisms come from the congestion the closeness of the tables creates, we sat right at the back to avoid noise and wait staff passing through, but were interrupted a couple times by staff squeezing past and were a little close for comfort to the next table. We also didn’t have a table reserved for us despite making a booking, it’s nice to arrive somewhere and for them to be set up for you when you’ve booked ahead, but they had plenty of tables to chose form nonetheless, so hardly a problem. Thank you Fiorelli, we will happily return!

Lovely experience dining here last night. Bridgette our waitress was a delight and very attentive. The food was fresh and delicious and we'll definitely be dining here again soon. Serena

We have been coming to Fiorelli’s for 20 years (??) and the food and service has been consistently outstanding.
Great value although I can’t recall the last time they changed the menu.. Today was no exception although we missed John the manager. As a consequence we were mildly irritated that we had to ask for help when the staff outnumbered the guests!!

Dated with my partner the day before yesterday l. We love the recommended food and enjoyed the atmosphere there. BTW, the olive oil with balsamic vinegar dipping with bread is very nice as a starter. :))

I came here with my partner for our anniversary a little while ago. The food and atmosphere was great! The prices are quite high (a touch too high for what you get), but the quality and freshness of the food is excellent.

Definitely a great place for that special date.

It's really nice to go to an Italian restaurant that caters for vegans. Really friendly staff, and super polite and helpful with ordering. Nice decor and fast service
Andylovestoeat
Simple Italian food made well ! The creme brullee is a must have. Great service.
Perfect complement to a movie date night with your partner.

Fiorelli provides reliable, medium priced, high quality meals. Staff are pleasant and usually know the menu and the food. The reasonably pitched wine list could be a bit broader. Overall a popular regular with the locals. We like Fiorelli because it 'keeps it simple' while interesting, and a pleasant meal can be relied upon. Can get very noisy when very busy, which it usually is on Friday and Saturday nights.
Rosaline Curiac
Came here a long time ago and remember tasting my first tiramisu here! Always been a fave! Can't wait to come back! Hope the food hasn't changed
Spirited Stardust
Old school Italian restaurant with standard Italian fare. There were no listed vegan or kids menu options but they were able to make us a tomato based pasta. I had the gnocchi which was lovely but not a very big portion.

My in-laws and wife booked a birthday meal here and what a lovely experience we had ,good wine list and all the food we ordered was beautifully cooked ,rare steak done to perfection, veal medallions succulent and tasty, a maranaria with lovely fish. Staff where friendly and made the night for us. Thank you Fiorelli for a wonderful evening.

Love the food here! We had the gnoochi napolitana and chicken mushroom risotto and they were divine! Great attentive service and very reasonably priced too

Been here several times, but yet to write review. Suffice to say that this is an excellent all-round restaurant with imaginative menu, great specials and a well- balanced wine list. Great position opposite the Rivoli, with attentive service. Slightly on the pricey side, but easily the best restaurant along that strip of the junction.....

As a foodie, I love to try out new places around. Yesterday is super hot and humid, by the time we reached the restaurant, both my friend and I are sweating.

Anyway, due to the heat, I was looking for an icy drink on the menu, but the most icy drink we can find is cocktails. I would prefer something on rock, personally. Anyway, the special dish of barramundi is cooked well and flavours are great with the risotto.
Great service. We were served by a young asian boy and he was fantastic. If management read this please acknowledge him, he along with all the staff made it a wonderful experience.

The antipasto board to start with was great and full of variety, from olives to prawns to rocket to feta and the list goes on. The potatoes were a bit bland though.
Our mains were all delicious. I had the spaghetti marinara that was full of seafood and everything was cooked perfectly.
Our desserts were very rich, unfortunately we couldn't finish them.

Overall the restaurant was nice and the staff great.
Two Sheds
Very solid four star bistro. Works on all levels and deserves its rating as the best eating place near the Rivoli theatres. My prawn risotto was very tasty. No skimping on the prawns either, so full points there. My companions enjoyed their meals as well. The space here is very nice. Service is great too. Conclusion, this is a solid, reliable establishment.

Dinner for two. Spiced espresso martini was excellent. We shared the antipasto plate which was good & very filling. For mains hubby had the duck risotto and I had the salmon. Both were ok but a little on the bland side. Staff were very friendly and service was great.
Foodie AC
Great for a pre or post cinema feed. Antipasto platter a highlight, as is the prawn risotto- delicious. Ask for one of the two tables for two in the window, lovely spot to eat. Desserts a little hit and miss, as is pasta. Service is friendly and attentive.
On UberEATS now too.

Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here. Staff were exceptional; attentive polite and friendly. The food was lovely, complimentary bread and olive oil followed by a side of buttered mushrooms to begin. I had the homemade gnocchi which I thought was cooked to perfection, and my partner had the lamb which he loved. The desserts looked great but after a hearty meal I had no more room, so we finished off with a glass of muscat. Tables felt a tiny bit squishy, I had to squeeze past people to get to the bathroom, but not too bad. Definitely will come eat here again.
Nat
Popped in for dinner one night. Staff were friendly however the food I thought was on the average side. Nothing really special about any of the pasta dishes the we tried.
Ari
I find Fiorellis' a reliable place to go to when you are unsure where else to go, especially on short notice. They are open same hours day in day out and nearly every day of the year. The staff are very helpful 9/10. Spaghetti Marinara is very good dish all round 9/10. I prefer to eat everything in this dish separate, and then have parmesan cheese added to just the spaghetti afterwards. As an entree, the mushroom/ potato/ spinach sides are excellent!

You definitely need to try the Organic Lemonade!
Nika Barbie Whittle
Great service, menu and food. Really enjoyed the warm salmon salad
Very attentive staff and really liked the coffee
Crema brûlée sticky date and lemon tart were also very good
Knitteddy
The atmosphere and service here is great. I had the veal medallions in bacon and mushroom cream sauce with a side of potatoes which were AMAZING!!!
Phil
Been here several times. First time was faultless. Crispy skin atlantic salmon cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The chocolate soufflé came out perfectly too. Other times the fish was slightly over and I really mean slightly. Also the creme brûlée was perfect most times but I remember one time it was just eggy. Antipasto plate was very good too. Ive been with others who have raved about the duck too.
Peter Wu
Best osso bucco lamb shank in Melbourne? Quite possibly. Some restaurants call it by its fancier name and make a big deal about how many hours they slow cook it for. Here it's just another menu item, albeit the first on the list of mains, and priced reasonably at $25. The taste however far exceeds the expectation. The meat is tender and juicy without being flaky, perfectly balanced with the stew and rounded off nicely with a serve of mash. A wholesome and satisfying dinner.
Li-La
Average Italian food, not amazing. Chocolate soufflé was very disappointing, didn't taste like real chocolate. Staff was very friendly but service a bit slow. Pretty old fashioned atmosphere/decor. Not very cosy or trendy but conveniently situated opposite the Rivoli cinema and open everyday.
La Ola Es Mia Cocina.
A group of five of us came here tonight to celebrate a friend birthday. We were greeted politely and seated upon arrival in a really nice space, where we had a great view of the restaurant and outside. The place itself is very stylish and the service is spot on with being able to accommodate our needs on the night with food, seating and so forth. We're all very happy with the customer service as they seem to have it spot on. All of us throughly enjoyed our meals and the prices were fantastic too with size portions, flavours and the way the were plated. All and all we had a wonderful time and really enjoyed ourselves. We're all looking forward to returning soon and to tell others for a great Italian meal and a good night out to try Fiorelli's. Thanks guys and keep up the great work.

Very happy with our experience here. The service was friendly and attentive, and our meals arrived quickly and were very filling. Our pastas were on point, and though we didn't need them we couldn't help but order desserts. The vanilla bean brulé was delicious as was the sticky date pudding. The decor was a little unusual - it looked a little like a hotel lobby and bar, but it was pleasant nonetheless and we were very comfortable. We felt very relaxed there after a hectic day. They also offered to make virgin daquaris as a more interesting non-alcoholic alternative. We'd gladly be back, and being opposite the Rivoli it's a great spot for a pre or post movie meal.
Avolette
Classic restaurant in Camberwell with typical dishes. Unfortunately difficult to distinguish between this restaurant and several others amongst the strip. Food and wine were unremarkable. Soufflé was top was beautifully risen and puffy but the rest of it was a messy puddle of powdered cocoa. Creme Brulee was average.
They do stock Innocent Bystander moscato but it's not on the menu so you have to ask for it.
Staff were friendly and attentive.
Overall not a bad restaurant but I agree with the previous review's description of the establishment as "beige".
John
We dined here on Wednesday night, the greeting and service was very good and very helpful when required. Decor pretty ordinary, quite dull and boring. The food was overpriced for the quality and quantity you receive. We noticed people just coming in for coffee and the chocolate soufflé, Which we should have ordered instead of the dinner
Sam
A classic Camberwell restaurant, with long standing dishes. Perhaps getting on the daggy side now, Fiorelli serves delicious, yet simple Italian food and is great for a quick meal before a film at the Rivoli.

Dined at Fiorelli for the first time tonight and was treated to a night of divine food and amazing staff.
Greeted at the door and shown to our table even though we were 15 minutes early to our booking, and it only went up from there.
The staff were attentive, and even though it wasn't busy, still looked like they were having a little bit of fun with each other and attended to every patron in the restaurant.
After having Calamari for entree, my partner and I were both looking forward to seeing what our mains were like and they did not disappoint.
I had the spaghetti bolognese and the mountain of pasta and beef made me want to keep eating even though my eyes were clearly too big for my stomach. My partner had the duck and it fell off the bone and was absolutely to die for.

Overall tonight was incredible, from the service to the food, everything was wonderful!

As usual Fiorelli delivers the best chocolate soufflé and crumbed calamari. Great après movie spot. Always consistent. Highly recommended.
Really great place all round. Came here with my family for my birthday dinner. The service was fantastic. All the waitresses were really engaged and on top of everything. Absolute A+ performance. Food was delicious and the ambience was really great. Well done I highly recommend

Fiorelli the King of Restaurants. Never dissapointed. Always satisfied with the food, service especially that lovely lady with the accent who always puts customers first as priority, making sure that everyone is comfortable, relaxed, enjoying their time off after a busy working week(end).
That's why the whole place has a lovely atmosphere and warm vibes, not to mention the food which is just delightful every single time. Tasteful, well presented, professional.
The bar in the middle is also just as good spot to wait and dine also, watching the friendly staff making the best espresso martini in town.
No wonder why after 20 years Fiorelli is still the stongest competitor amongs not just the local but the state restaurants and by far the winner!
Highly recommended!
5 STAR!

Dont linger. In their push to make more money, these guys kick you out the door if you dine earlier (e.g. 7:00pm)........ appalling.........

...always been a favourite place for MG and I for years. A relative took us here many years ago and we were so impressed with the food that it’s always been on our list of places to go to when we have a hankering for some good ole comfort food. What we loved was the consistency of their meals and in particular their rich a

Sorry but this place is beige. Very average food that is nothing memorable and clumsily presented. Over priced - four half sherry tomatoes, the equivalent of two potatoes and a piece of a barramundi for $32?

Service is average too - topped up my own water, inattentive and not really confident in the menu.

The ambience is nonexistent and I would not recommend this place.

Dinner and Movies. We had a great dinner here before the movies. My seafood linguini was very tasty and my partners steak was cooked to perfection. Not too dear and service was fiendly. We will come again.

Thank you Fiorellis just enjoyed lovely pre movie dinner. Service and food perfect!

Very pleasant surprise. We chose this place at random from the clutch of restaurants along Camberwell Road. We were shown to a table without a reservation or attitude. My expectations were pretty low - I was anticipating a fairly generic Italian-style place with not much going for it but a location. My expectations were well exceeded.

We skipped straight to the mains opting for the filled chicken breast for me and the baked fish (which I think was salmon on the night) for my partner. The meals arrived relatively quickly and to my (very) pleasant surprise the food was piping hot (this is both unusual and very welcome). We also ordered the pan-fried potatoes on the side.

The chicken meal was nicely varied. Consisting of the stuffed chicken breast, a good amount of a very tasty capsicum risotto and some salad. All components were tasty. There was also a nice hint of chilli.

The fish was also quite nice although there may have been a surfeit of spinach at the bottom of the plate. Still, no serious complaints.

For dessert I had the chocolate souffle and my partner had the vanilla bean brulee. The souffle looked pretty spectacular (there's a photo on this page) - very tall, airy and wobbly. The flavour was a little muted for my taste (I tend to prefer stronger flavours), but it's hard to pick fault with a dessert prepared that well. The brulee received a thumbs-up too.

So, good service, tasty & hot food and very reasonable prices given the quality of the food. Recommended.

Addendum. We went back to Fiorelli with some other people a few weeks after the original visit (again without a reservation). They were very busy and therefore full. The waiter was very apologetic and kindly suggested we try next door (Deco).

Hard to fault that kind of attention to customer service.

Great food, reasonably priced, wonderful service - what more could you want?. Fiorelli has been a gem for years, being wonderfully consistent in food and service. From the warm welcome to the attentive service to the very tasty food, this place just never disappoints.

I had the minestrone soup and the duck - both delightful. Do leave room for the great desserts - the chocolate soufflé is just magnificent!

This place is great for gatherings of family and friends (situated right across from the cinema) but also terrific for business lunches.

We'll be back more often - it was too long between visits!

I booked this place for 10 people for a birthday, service was incredibly slow, food not the best & prior to dinner I dropped off a surprise birthday cake, in which they forgot about until I asked them after ages waiting. They went to prepare it & we continued waiting a long time until I asked them what the delay was, finally the cake came out but this was a bit embarrassing. Looks nice inside but terrible service which was disappointing.

I have never posted an urban spoon review but I had such an average experience that I felt I must share with other users. I had dinner with my wife and friends and we sat waiting to be given menus for close to 10 minutes. After this our drinks did not come out until we chased them up and it was hard to understand the English of a particular waitress who came across rude and my general vibe from the staff was that it was all very political. My wife's main meal took nearly 5 minutes longer to come out then our meals. As soon as we finished out mains the sweets menu was shoved in front of our faces as to say 'hurry up and order so you can get out'. Any good restaurant would wait a good 5-10 minutes before offering sweets. Im not doubting the quality of the food which was nice it was more so the experience. Things such as water were never replenished etc. Wouldn't recommend going on a busy night as you won't be given much attention and the over all vibe wasn't very enjoyable.
AJayne210
Great!! Everything from wine to mains to dessert to service to value - can't fault.

Mismatch... The ambiance and style of this restaurant most certainly did not match the insipid and uninspiring tortellini that we were served with a watery, buttery sauce...They arrived within about 4 minutes after our order was placed so we gathered that they were well and truly cooked earlier....the taste and temperature confirmed this....soggy and bland are the only words to describe the dishes...
Fortunately the sticky date was a standout as was the salted caramel sauce...At these prices it should not be difficult to produce fresh food full of flavor....

A very atmospheric eatery with excellent food. We were a large table and all the food arrived well presented and hot. Salmon and pasta dishes were devine as were the desserts of souffle and brulee. Recommended!!!
Nonstopcare
Wonderful food!!. Repeat customer who loves the food, its perfect and appetising. Have eaten most dishes on the menu and specials of the day, I can recommend this restaurant, it has class, respects its customer and service is not intrusive. Decor could do with a lift, suggest gas lamps out the front, live theatre, its large space needs ambiance. Highly recommend, food's amazing!!

10/10 night. I had dinner with my wife and our two friends last night (saturday night) and it was excellent. We had a nice spot right up the back and we had the most friendly tall waitress looking after us who was just delightful. The restaurant was very busy yet whenever we needed something including our water topped up it was always done without asking and with a smile. The food was incredible and presented wonderfully. I recommend this place to anyone who is after wonderful food and service.

Terrible service. This restaurant acted like a high class 5 star place but was worst than a chain food restaurant.
The manager yelled at waitresses in front of us and I had a full glass on red wine spilt all over my jeans and jacket.!!! Lack of remource was shown..
Much better places in camberwell area.. Don't expect good service.

On a Whim. Sunday night after a late afternoon movie thought we would try this place. The calamari entree excellent, my partner had a Caesar salad a little bland, the veal sensational and the green vegetables cooked beautifully. We liked the very polite attentive service. I reckon we might return

Been here a couple of times now and I have one word...soufflé!! The food is quite good and it's lovely service but the chocolate soufflé is to die for. I'll be back again and again for it!

Spectacularly good. I went to Fiorelli with 19 friends for my 60th birthday. All meals came out with military precision (and a smile), and every single person on the two tables raved about their meals. Calamari was beautiful, garlic prawns the same, 13 eye fillets done to perfection, about the same chocolate souffles, also done to perfection, all carried out with a smile and basically they couldn't do enough for us - and I got two sparklers because the first one went out before the photo could be taken. Hysterical. Normally when you go out with a crowd there's at least one or two meals which aren't up to scratch - not the case here. Do yourself a favour and try them. Thank you very much Fiorelli, we will definitely be back.

-----15 Oct, 2013-----

As good as Viale. I wrote a review about Orsini (where we went last week) and mentioned we would be trying Fiorelli this week. We haven't been in the area for long and are trying out restaurants once a week. Fiorelli - wonderful. The chairs are comfortable! It's a bit "not so squeezy" but if there's laughter on the next table it's all good. My steak was medium rare and melted beautifully with one slice of the knife. I compare all steaks to Viale, a restaurant in Lakeside Pakenham which has just about the best steak in Melbourne - and this was on a par and cheaper. The chocolate souffle - my only regret was that I didn't take a photo - magnificent. It was like eating a chocolate cloud. And - the drinks mentioned on the wine list were available and in stock (not so Orsini). Just noticed the photos - my main meal of eye fillet and dessert of chocolate souffle looked exactly like the photos on the web site - as did my partner's seafood marinara. We'll be back.

I went to Fiorelli tonight with my next door neighbour for dinner. The staff seemed very kind to us and very polite. For my main I had the spaghetti with Bolognese ragu dish, which was very very tasty! I haven't had a Bolognese style pasta before where the meat had such a slow cooked texture to it rather than the common ground meat type. Full of flavor! My friend had the risotto and they were more than happy to leave out the peas as she didn't feel like them. Dessert was a shared chocolate soufflé which was large and impressive but also very light and delicate - we both commented that we were satisfied without the feeling of regretting a heavy dessert. Will be back! For years have looked at the people in the windows eating their dinner and wondered what it would be like to be on the other side. Well worth it!

A good, ever reliable restaurant. Fast service, friendly efficient service and good food. Just the thing after seeing a good film at the Rivoli

Dined here last night with a friend. I ordered the salmon for main and the strawberry crepes for dessert.
Service and food was fantastic.

Sensational!. Wow, we had dinner on a Saturday night. Last minute booking and they squeezed us in. Fantastic feel to the place, wonderful welcoming service. the food OMG, it has been a very long time since I have had a meal that good. The entree, main and dessert were all unbelievable. I had the veal and my friend had the chicken. Both were so good we almost didn't want to talk just to savour the food. My friend had their well known chocolate souffle - mouth watering and I have the vanilla bean brulee - YUM! What a wonderful night finished off by a delicious coffee. I am so glad i used Urban Spoon to visit this restaurant. It is fabulous and I will certainly be going again.

Despite the service being slightly rusty, the food was amazing. Great value. The spaghetti ragu, spaghetti marinara and prawn risotto were eaten at my table and everyone loved them! I recommend the ragu. And it's all just for the price of a regular pub!

Delicious food, excellent service, can't wait to go again! A place that makes their own pasta is always a winner.

All time favourite. This is all time favourite, great consistent food, lovely service and good prices. Desserts are fantastic! Have been dozens of times and they have even been welcoming of our little one from age 0-4!

Great location - excellent food. Spaghetti Ragu was amazing. Spinach & Ricotta Tortellini was fantastic too. Desserts great and service friendly and timely. Very nice place, particularly convenient if you are going to the movies across the road or have a large family get together as it's a sizeable restaurant. I would definitely return, very nice.

This place is amazing. I have been coming here for a few years and the food has always been outstanding and the service excellent. Love the bread to begin with. I always get the veal medallions, however have tried the chicken, gnocchi, ragu and many other things and all are fantastic. Highly recommended!

Yummo!. I haven't been to Fiorelli for a while now but crave their Spaghetti Ragu! It's the best Spaghetti I've ever had and no other restaurant ever compares. The calamari is a great entree and I've always been impressed with their Daiquiris and Japanese slippers. The ambience is wonderful and its proximity to Rivoli cinema is so convenient.

Based on the feedback this restaurant received from Urban Spoon, we went there full of expectation. Unfortunately what we got was not quite at the same level.

The was nothing really bad about the place, nice ambience, friendly staff, but the food left a bit to be desired. The Calamari tasted more like fish fingers due to the way they crumbed it, the marinara was rich in fish, but poor in taste for some reason and the duck & mushroom risotto lacked real quality flavors coming through.

The highlight was certainly the chocolate soufflé and certainly worth going there for that alone.

My recommendation would be pop in after the movies and have some coffee and soufflé to finish the night off nicely, but give dinner a miss.

Fantastic restaurant. Wonderful meal, fast and polite service. Did not leave me wanting. Bruschetta for entree was superb, Gnochhi was divine, but not much room left for desert!

Went to Fiorelli a few months back with my boyfriend for dinner, and found both the service and food of good quality. The friendly staff were attentive and efficient, without being over bearing. I had a pasta dish, and my boyfriend had a steak, both of which were tasty and filling, and we're of a good portion size. The biggest highlight of the night however, was the Espresso cocktail I ordered, which I am still searching for something to equal it elsewhere and am unable to find! It was truely excellent. The only criticism of this place I would say is the menu, which I found slightly reatrictive. If you love Italian, however, you shouldn't have a problem with Fiorelli.
