Review Foddies - Camberwell

I had a lovely Nourish Bowl here. A really well balanced lunch, with tons of flavour. The sweet potato chips made my day! As usual, I spied on other diners‘ meals. The pumpkin and zucchini fritters looked nice. Pulled beef Benedict is a pretty huge investment in protein. I liked my dish best. I did notice the menu doesn’t highlight which dishes are vegetarian and so on. I guess that’s fine, they are clearly expecting every unusual diet, and are ready to discuss every item if needed. Oh, and do pop into the loo, for a fun wallpaper surprise!

This was the most incredible gluten free, dairy free, low fodmap food I’ve had anywhere! The staff were lovely and opened by checking on our special diets and knew immediately what could be catered to them. Iced chocolate, waffles and French toast that were better than the allergen versions, topped with friendly service and a cosy little venue - 5/5!

This place is fantastic. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Nice atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to everyone, especially those with gut issues as they cater to FODMAPs / gluten free etc.

Fantastic clean food, perfect for anyone on low fodmap diet, or just wanting good healthy food. Excellent service. Warm cosy environment. They even have a range of frozen meals, pasta sauces and relish. For those who want something healthy to take away. Highly recommended

I came in here for a spur of the moment coffee which ended up being breakfast. I ordered the fried eggs with a side of mushrooms and bacon. The mushrooms were insanely good and the bacon was next level. It was cooked perfect. A lot of places just place the bacon on the grill and warm it up, but Foddies actually cooks it, gives it color, gives it crunch. 11/10 for this place for sure.

Cute little place that caters for almost every dietary requirement. You can eat safely, healthy and without fear. Wonderful range of options including donuts and desserts. There's even a broad list of ready to eat and take home options. From sauces, spice mixes and even dumplings and taco kits. Highly recommended. Staff need a bit of training though. The owners are beautiful people.

Having been to the Albert Park venue some years ago we were looking forward to brunch in Camberwell. It didn’t live up to expectation.
The waitress did not come across very friendly to start with. More like she was busy and we were holding her up. We ordered drinks which took about 10 minutes to arrive then waited the same again to give our food order We ordered beef burgers that came with sweet potato chips. My son asked for potato chips instead and was informed they could not be swapped as they were in the burger itself. I asked if I could order a separate serve of chips and was told no. When the meal arrived it came with potato chips on the plate, not sure why we couldn’t have been told that when we ordered. One of our kids wanted a child’s waffles (he’s a teen but not a big eater) and we requested that but were prepared to pay to have it as an adult size given his age. . This also seemed a big deal and when it came out it was literally a waffle with a scoop of ice-cream and a small amount of Nutella’s and not really appetizing to look at.
To be fair the burgers were really good and my fritters were also tasty if a little messily presented..
we won’t be making the trek back.

Absolutely WONDERFUL food! While not everything is gluten-free, they do handle their gluten-free options like glorious superstars!

Treats such as southern fried chicken burgers, bubble waffles and my all time favourite: MAC & CHEESE BURGERS are to DIE FOR! Better yet, they’re all gluten-free! Anyone with Coeliac disease, an allergy or intolerance should check in to Foddies because if not, you’re depriving yourself!

Also, I mention doughnuts?

Staff were so friendly & accommodating. Food came out fast. Food was really tasty, however the sesame ice cream wasn’t my favourite. Gluten free pavlova donut was delicious for a gluten free donut. Overall great experience

Pulled beef Benedict! Oh my lord! The best breakfast I’ve had in years. So tasty and I didn’t feel yuk afterwards. Great coffee, amazing chai latte and excellent service. So happy I came here today. Will be back again and again and again. Well done guys!

This cafe is run by a great team led by Chrissy. This cafe is often very busy on weekends, but you can book. The food is varied and always tasty; and they run this venture to enable those with allergies and intolerances to get a decent meal! Gluten free, tick, no garlic, tick. Spelt bread, tick. They also have food to go as well. And for me the coffee is among the best in Camberwell.

You wouldn't think a foodie was low fodmap! This place was a sigh of relief after wanting to visit for so long I finally was able to visit the new Camberwell branch. A great menu with so many options that are tummy friendly. Staff were lovely and food well presented and given the limitations flavours worked well.

Starting in November 2015, Chrissy and Luke opened Foddies Cafe in Albert Park. Sadly Albert Park is now closed, but from that starting point, they also made their home-cooked meals available for delivery to your door with the FodBox. Furthermore, they also created a freezer meal line that can be picked up in independent supermarkets. Finally last year they brought their amazing donuts to the west, with the opening of Foddies Donuts in Moonee Ponds. Then during April, they breathed life into the venue that was once Red Robin Cafe by transforming it into Foddies Camberwell.

3.5
Went to a wedding tonight where the sweets were fully catered towards Gluten free, dairy free etc. the doughnuts came from Foddies cafe in Camberwell. I tried a selection which were super tasty including the lemon meringue, passionfruit meringue and a chocolate peanut butter doughnut (just a bite). Really good tasting GF doughnuts which I know can be a challenge from others I have tried elsewhere. ( I have to apologise for the poor picture quality).
