What a cute little backyard! It’s these hidden gem places that keeps me in brunch advantures💕 I love this place and their staff, who went above and beyond to help my anxious little dog and fed her a fancy wet food (complementary!) I felt so comfortable dining at their back yard under the wild tomato plants. It was perfect for my dog who’s scared of anything too loud and loves a bit of sun light through the leaves🌿

I hope this place reopens soon!

The waiter was good with his service, not pushy, super friendly. Coffee was great. Price was reasonable. I’m not too sure how I feel about the eggplants in my dish, but other than that everything else was yum.

Large portion sizes and decent prices! We got the Smashed Avo and Benedict Cumberbatch. The Smashed Avo came with a really refreshing beetroot salad, red pepper hummus, balsamic glaze and ewe’s milk cheese. The Benedict came with pulled lamb, pumpkin purée, pickled cabbage and a herbed hollandaise. The pulled lamb was so delicious and soft! Really love this place, but the only thing I would say is that the front area doesn’t have the best vibe - it feels a tiny bit noisy and squashed.

This place was amazing! We went there for bottomless brunch and both the food and the cocktails were amazing. Top notch quality and arguably the best smashed avo in Melbourne.
The only downside is that our awesome waitresses Sophie and Lily weren’t able to join us. 10/10 would recommend.

The beautiful enter neighbour cafe is located ideally on the border of camberwell and Burwood east! It’s a wonderful little cafe with a beautiful courtyard and extensive menu! I ordered an iced almond latte with the greens bowl & hotcakes to share. The hotcakes are a must if you visit, they are fluffy, beautiful and delicious! The perfect spot for summer brunch spreads with the crew! Can’t wait to visit again soon!

Hartwell brunch (with smoked salmon) and the potato & leek hash. The brunch was amazing - the crispy chickpeas were game-changers, and the amount of pomegranate balanced it all nicely, perhaps a tad too much avocado making it difficult to complete.

Other person had the hash which was crisp, tasteful, and not too filling - however it wasn’t out of this world amazing.

Would 100% recommend the huge serving size of the Hartwell brunch.

Service is quick, atmosphere is a more “local” than fancy.

That's when good neighbours become good friends....
I came here with a Melbourne food influencer who specialises in brunch and garden options who was invited here to try their menu.

She chose the Aeperol bircher, Namban chicken and the potato and leek hash for us to share. The aeperol bircher is an interesting take on traditional bircher, and is very much on trend. A very refreshing bowl but with that very minor bit of citrus cheekiness

The namban chicken was quite nice. Forbidden black rice, was balanced with the dressing and sauce and the chicken was crispy, moist and well sauced. My friend particularly enjoyed the potato and leek hash. Each element stood out on its own but together the flavours gelled.

Enter Neighbour definitely has a homely vibe. We sat in the court yard and I felt like I was in someone's back yard. A great local cafe for the Camberwell community.

We returned to Enter Neighbour to check out the new menu a year out from our previous visits. I was excited by the menu as it has evolved quite nicely and while there were certainly your cafe staples there were a good selection of unique and interesting dishes.

We started off with well made Axil bean coffees as decided on a trio of dishes.

Whilst perusing the menu we interacted with the super friendly team and noticed their excellent customer service when it came to a lady with a pram and finding suitable seating for their clientele.

From the all day brunch menu we ordered the Namban chicken. The black rice, gribbich sauce, peas n pickled cabbage was topped with succulent Japanese chicken sprinkled with crispy shallots fresh Chilli & corriander. The dish had a wonderful range of incredible textures and a lovely sweetness from the gribbich sauce. I found the chicken was so tender and juicy.

I also snaffled up the last house special of Crab Chilli scramble.  I am so glad I did, the crab egg scramble was delicious. The house made vibrant sambal had a fabulous level of heat which was cleverly balanced out with the creamy cooling avo salsa verde, there was a wonderful amount of varying flavours and textures.

For dessert we tried the scotch pancakes, which we had tried on earlier visits with mixed experiences. I’m pleased to say these we a hit this time. That piping hot fluffy pancakes came with divine coffee mascarpone and caramelised banana. I found the coffee mascarpone was a great way to stop the dish from being to sweet and the coffee soil was a delightful crunch.

Really great dining experience today. Thanks for having us back.

Previous Review
I was fortunate enough to dine as a plus one guest not once but on two occasions over the past 3 days so was not only able to check out a few additional dishes but also able to review consistency on a couple of popular dishes.

As a cafe enter neighbour stands where few others do near the corner of Toorak and Camberwell roads. A nice little spot with a handful of tables in the front, a few more in the middle section and a bit of an awkward walk through to the back courtyard for those who want eat under the winter sun rays.

They serve a good latte and they have my favourite Mork Hot Chocolate (all three but I chose the slightly bitter 85%). They also do a very reasonable chai latte also if you are a non coffee drinker.

In our first visit we tried the Spicy Cider Bircher, the Smashed Avo, and the Scotch Pancakes.

The avocado smash was a delightful savoury dish and I enjoyed the inclusion of a salad on this dish, which was where the feta element of the dish resided. A lovely lemon wedge to add some zing was a nice touch.

A lot of cafes around are swapping out their Bircher for winter porridge at this time of year so it’s refreshing to see a switch to a more wintery Bircher instead in the form of the spiced cider Bircher. Plenty of pears and fig and a subtle but present cider hit made this a most enjoyable dish.

Dish number three was the pancakes and these looked a real treat. I found a little bit of inconsistency between my two visits. Visit one these were very dry and seemed to be lacking enough liquid or melt. Visit two there was certainly a lot more melt happening and that dryness wasn’t a factor. Check out my photos from both to see what I mean... both were photographed after sitting about five minutes. Based on my second visit I would recommend the pancakes but based on my first I would not.

The last dish I got to try in my second visit was the vanilla panna cotta which had passionfruit, limoncello (takes me back to the Amalfi coast) and lemon crumb. Definitely delicious but certainly in no way filling this is the perfect share dish for a post brunch dessert.

Apart from the hit and miss experience with the pancakes I totally enjoyed my dining experience at Enter Neighbour and thanks to Jack and the team for a chance try out their enjoyable menu (Twice).

We absolutely love all the dishes! Our favourite was the special crab chilli. We really hope they add this to their permanent menu! We would definitely recommend this place !

More 3.5 but closer to 4 (than 3).

Friendly staff. Cafe on the smaller end but still enough space for seating.

Benedict Cumberbatch 3.5/5 - overall enjoyable but compared to others on instagram and zomato, it seems like the lamb for mine, while quite soft, tender and easy to pull apart, was a bit wet and lacked flavour, hence the deducted points. The hollandaise with the herb addition really enhanced the flavours, and the pumpkin (can use more of it) also added a nice sweetness to the dish! Generous portions, and the cabbage was a nice addition to the dish giving it some texture but was a bit on the soft side as well. Overall enjoyable and I appreciated that the sourdough had no butter to it! and that it was on the side so it wouldnt get hard or soggy. Greatly loved that idea.

Nanban chicken 4/5 - good amount of rice and peas but maybe can have a little bit more chicken. Dish was delicious as the chicken was nicely seasoned and crisp while the nanban sauce gave it a good creaminess. The black rice and peas completed the dish as it provided some texture, and the chilis definitely enhanced the flavours.

The pancakes did look good as well and they have a wide variety of drinks too. My friend enjoyed her smashed avo and the portion was really generous. Would come back if in the area.

This lovely and humble cafe is highly, highly, highly recommended and must be added to your list of must trys!! Scrumptious food and fragrant coffee served by friendly staff, what more can you ask for?

[Recommended]
✔️Nanban chicken: It's definitely a special original recipe that I've yet to see anywhere else. The succulent and flavourful chicken is perfectly paired with the amazing black rice with gribiche dressing. It is definitely an all time favourite dish that I would come back time and time again to enjoy and would encourage everyone to treat your taste buds with this dish!
✔️Potato and Leek hash: Very delicious. I absolutely loved all the effort and thought put into creating this dish. The cauliflower puree, fried cauliflower and pickled aubergine is just delightful! Their perfectly poached egg and toasted bread should be the benchmark for all cafes. The only thing I'd pick on is that the hash itself is not big enough, and would expect it to be 1.5-2 times bigger to balance everything else out on the plate. Other than that it's super yum for the tum!
✔️Cafe Latte: Their beans are from Axil and it was brewed very well. The first time we came it was average but the second time was done well!

Greeted by friendly staff as soon as we walked through the door and was seated straight away. The cafe has an aged feel to it but is kept clean and tidy. They have a cute little court yard at the back so don't hesitate to bring your furbabies out to one of the best brunch places in Melbourne! Thank you Enter Neighbour for cooking up great food and being my one of my top favourite brunch places!

Enter Neighbour is such a cute and humble cafe located in Camberwell. The venue is so small, cosy and very welcoming.

The menu is quite special and they have a lot of unique dishes worth trying. After a long thought, we decided on the Nanban Chicken, Potato & Leek Hash, and Buckwheat & Date Hempnola.

The Nanban Chicken was delicious! I loved the twist on Asian flavours - the gribiche dressing which was sweet and sour and savoury. The forbidden black rice had a nice texture and there was a very generous amount too. The chicken was coated in the delicious sauce and it was very tender and juicy. The fresh chilli added a nice kick.

The Potato & Leek Hash was probably my favourite dish. The hash was crispy and flavourful - I could eat it all day! I loved the cauliflower purée and the fried cauliflower which had a delightful char. The pickled eggplant was very soft and melty too. All the flavours and textures balanced very nicely together.

The Hempnola was also a really amazing dish. I’m not usually one to order granola-type dishes, but this one was very impressive! So much variety with so many different textures, and the raspberry gel which added a nice tartness. I really liked the creamy date labneh, and it has fresh figs too!

We also had smoothies - the Berry Bliss and the Tropical. I especially loved the tropical one which was light, refreshing, tart and sweet.

Service was fantastic throughout our entire experience. I would highly recommend visiting Enter Neighbour if you’re in the area!

Thank you so much for having us!

My partner and I had brunch at Enter Neighbour on a quiet Monday morning. It’s a cozy cafe with several tables at the front and offer more seating at the back.

We were greeted by staff, sat down and had our coffee orders taken. I ordered a latte and my partner ordered a mocha. Coffees came out quick and were had the delicious coffee bean aroma. They were perfect in temperature and wholesome in flavour.

The menu offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options. But, as you may have read from my other reviews, the baked eggs option is always my immediate go to. My partner ordered the Benedict Cumberbatch.

The baked eggs were great and had good tomato flavour. It had capsicum, eggplant and egg in a napoli sauce. I asked if the eggplant could be taken out but unfortunately as it’s premixed they weren’t able to. That was fine with me as it’s only a preference and not an allergy. Though in the midst of all that, I forgot to ask to add on the bacon/pork and fennel sausage. Otherwise it would have been perfect, but that’s on me.

The Benedict cumberbatch came with pulled lamb and poached eggs sitting on pumpkin purée and spinach, with a side of bread and slaw. Topped with hollandaise sauce. The lamb was soft and salted well. This balanced out with the pumpkin purée.

Definitely recommend Enter Neighbour for a delicious cup of coffee.

We were invited to Enter Neighbour today just over a year after our first visit. I went for the smashed avocado again but they had jazzed up the dish to include a capsicum purée, some sun dried tomatoes, edamame and rocket. There was a lot going on on the plate and it was a generously proportioned dish topped with ewes milk cheese and a drizzle of balsamic complete with a poached egg. It was also a sizeable piece of toast so combined with my yummy green smoothie I was near stuffed before the burger arrived.

The wagyu burger was delicious and I really enjoyed the milk bun. If it had been my sole dish however I think I would have been questioning the lack of chips accompanying it. My healthy husband had the sautéed greens dish which he liked as a nutritious option. I’d love to see the lime and coconut granola reappear on the menu as that dish really appealed!

Original review
Was pleased to be invited to Enter Neighbour this morning. It had a really friendly vibe about it and the food came out super quick. I kicked off with one of the tastiest chai lattes I’ve ever had, cafe owner Jack explained it’s all about the brewing time to really extract that flavour and lovely fragrant scent.

Having been opened around 6 months under new management the menu has been given a total revamp with head chef Desmond creating some interesting and exciting dishes my favourite of which was the spiced cider bircher. You definitely got the alcoholic aftertaste which was something quite unique.

I also enjoyed everyone’s favourite breakfast classic the smashed avo. This rendition has a generous amount of avocado and came with a little feta topped salad which again was something a bit different. Overall this is a great little local, not too far from me and relatively easy parking to boot.

Overall an extremely nice brunch spot! We came here on a Thursday lunch time and the cafe was almost empty bar 2 tables. The waitress wasn’t particularly warm or welcoming but she wasn’t rude in anyways.

The food was overall very delicious and filling, the servings were quite generate. The smashed avo however was really overshadowed by the power of the balsamic reduction and the rocket salad which was placed on top of the toast along side the avocado? The Parmesan shaving on top provided a nice theatrical look but did little to alleviate the tangy sour taste. The nanban chicken on the other hand was extremely delicious, on a bed of forbidden rice and was nicely balanced in flavour and texture.

The lattes were great tasting, I would’ve appreciated a better crema with more foams than bubbles but it was extremely minor and did not affect the experience.

The toilet or getting to the yard requires you to walk through what looks like the kitchen prep or dishwashing station? Otherwise the decor and ambience was extremely likeable.

📝: Enter Neighbour is a lovely local cafe located by the intersection of Camberwell and Toorak roads in Camberwell.

Owner Jack Randell is very passionate about offering his customers a friendly community feel cafe where everyone is welcome.

Expect a deliciously innovative brunch menu that will make you feel like you are eating out of a cafe in Melbourne’s CBD.

❤️: On the brunch menu at Enter Neighbour cafe you can choose from a tasty selection of brunch options that are all made from quality and locally sourced ingredients.

My favorite was the Buckwheat & Date Hempnola—raw activated buckwheat, pumpkin seeds 🎃, goji berries, puffed brown rice, coconut chips 🥥, raspberry gel, creamy date labneh topped with fresh figs and berries 🍓. End with a pour of milk all over 🥛.

Then that Potato & Leek Hash with cauliflower puree, fried cauliflower, pickled aubergine, avocado salsa verde 🥑, spring onions, caper crisp, and a poached egg 🍳 to pop on toast 🍞.

Lastly, the Nanban Chicken 🍗. Black rice with gribiche dressing, peas, pickled cabbage, japanese chicken topped with crispy shallots, chili 🌶, and coriander.

Living in Melbourne we’ve been spoilt with brunch choices and Camberwell is no exception. Enter Neighbour is not only a warm and cosy venue but it does get super busy. Walking in we were greeted by friendly staff, sat our butts down and waited for the food to come out. To warm ourselves up I got a chai latte and Mr D got a regular latte. The chai needed to be a touch more hotter and more chai-ness to it. Mr D was a bit disappointed with the latte and found it wasn’t as strong in both flavour and well, Mr D’s caffeine hit.

🥓 ORDERED MENU 🍳
Chicken Namban, with a cup of Matcha Latte.

🙆 WHAT WENT WELL 🥰
✓ Food: Generally delicious. The Chicken Namban is quite a unique dish. The first few bites were very a surprising twist from the Japanese classic, but I happily finished every bite.
✓ Service: Very friendly. Each staff made sure we were comfortable without being too overbearing.
✓ Value for money: I came with a Groupon, so I could not complain here! The prices, for that quality of food, are justified.

🙅 WHAT DIDN'T GO SO WELL 😬
× Food: The only thing I could fault was the Matcha latte. Presentation definitely could be improved, but I found the drink to be oddly.. powder-like. Not the worst I've had, but it's a drop from the beautiful Chicken Namban.

🌺 FINAL THOUGHTS ☘️
If you're a local or around the area, give this spot a chance! I definitely would not have expected such a good meal from their small, simple storefront.

Where: Enter Neighbour
Address: 625 Camberwell Road, Camberwell
Parking: Off Street Parking right opposite and across the street (metered and timed), although it’s not monitored during weekends.
Décor: Minimalistic. Brick walls, different zones – indoor, dining area and courtyard (under renovation currently), you can view the chef making preparing food through an open window to the café kitchen
I chose to visit this café on cup day – which was supposedly meant to be a bright and sunny day but one that ended up being super thunderous and rainy. The racegoers absolutely did not want this for the day and I wonder how they survived with their drenched suits and fascinators, except for those who enjoying their caviar in the bird cage.
My bird cage for the day turned out to be superb, in fact it felt like second home as it was that cosy and homely. Enter Neighbour!
Just as your neighbour’s house where you feel familiar with the surroundings and you receive adulation and warmth and a warm cup of tea at every visit, I received the same welcome here. Owner Manager Jack R has a simple mantra when it comes to running Enter Neighbour, and that it’s all about Inclusiveness, welcoming people and taking care of them – that’s what really Enter Neighbour is all about.
While the menu is pre dominantly Modern Australian, it has slight tones of international cuisines such as Indian, German and Japanese. Nanban Chicken with forbidden black rice, gribiche dressing, pickled cabbage, Japanese chicken with crispy shallots, chilli and coriander with Japanese flavours there and Green Fritters that has an interesting fusion of German cured meat sausage with Raita which is an Indian Yogurt Dressing. And even though I did not try these today, these seemed extremely intriguing to me and I was assured by Jack that there was a true amalgamation of different cultures on their plates with these dishes on the menu.
What we had:
Neighbour’s Beef: Wagyu Beef cooked medium rare, served with sliced pickles, and gourmet tomato, lettuce leaf, Melted Cheddar Cheese, Sriracha Mayo and house made Jam in a Brioche bun with sesame seeds – This burger was truly every neighbours envy and I could see why this could be a favourite of those returning regulars at this café.

Berry Bliss: If you haven’t checked my post about this, I urge you to please click on @melbournemojoeats and find me on Instagram – the post where you can see a vibrant deep red color drink with glittering chia seeds on the rim of the glass is this very drink.
This drink very less ingredients and yet it was filled with healthy delight, berries, honey, chia seeds, mint and coconut water gave it the deep beetrootish color and it was one of those healthy elixirs, that made me feel super healthy, cleansed and detoxed all from that one sip. That euphoric state you achieve when you have an uber healthy freshly made juice, you cannot help but feel extremely cleansed and clear, rejuvenated. I sipped on this one until the very end of my meal. Pure Bliss.
Spiced Cider Bircher:
This Bircher bowl was utterly simplistic, it did not have very many vibrant colours and it was not trying to be too out there – and that’s exactly what I liked about – very rustic and minimal ingredients but make no mistakes, the flavours were truly magical.

Their cafe name is as welcoming as their crew are! 😍

FOOD & COFFEE: I ordered the Scotch Pancakes (of course) and soy latte! The pancakes were sooo good! It was so fluffy!! The texture of the pancakes were perfect and it went so beautifully with the coffee mascarpone! It wasn’t too hard but soft with a hint of chew! I also appreciated the fruits because the only thing pancake is better with is fruits 🤤 The coffee mascarpone was great as well tho I would’ve liked a stronger coffee flavour but it may be my soy latte winning the coffee flavour! Speaking of which, the soy latte was really great as well 🥰

SERVICE: The service is really welcoming and lovely! They’re super cheerful and just make the cafe experience all the better!

I was honestly ecstatic to finally find a reason to try this cafe as bonus tip, they’re on GROUPON! And can I just say, the most worth it $12.50 I have spent in the LONGEST time! It was perfect in every single aspect and I would definitely return!

To start, the coffee here was excellent, really up there with the nicest I’ve had - 5star.

The food was enjoyable but not amazing. I had the corn fritters which were tasty, but mushy. The addition of the lemon was nice, but it lacked a fresh element - perhaps some avo. No idea what the fried leeks were doing on the plate- 3star

Friendly staff, cute cafe...

Average of 4 stars.

Great, friendly service and decently priced meals with a relaxed atmosphere and more than adequate seating. The King Truffle was soft and fragrant, and the Benedict Cumberbatch was done very well! Unfortunately the Chai latte and the flat white were a bit too milky, although they had the perfect amount of foam. Definitely worth visiting again!

Enter Neighbour, nestled away in Camberwell Road is an eating establishment that offers breakfast, lunch and on some nights: dinner!

We were invited to try their wine bar and tapas menu which we were extremely excited for!

The venue was quite when we visited however, we have heard that it gets quite busy during the day for brunch.
We ordered the Southern Fried Chicken, the Pulled Lamb and the Nanban Glazed Tenders. We also had a side of potatoes. For drinks, we had a cider and their Pinkie cocktail.

The Southern Fried Chicken Burger was absolutely beautiful. The chicken was tender, crunchy and hot. The pea aioli was flavoursome, and the cabbage salad was a great accompaniment to the burger. The pulled lamb burger was definitely the highlight of the night. I cannot describe how juicy and flavoursome that burger was – I haven’t had a burger like that in a very long time. Exceptional. The tenders were succulent and hot and went very well with the Japanese Nanban Sauce. The Pinkie drink was lovely! Very strong and fruity.

You can tell that these guys have put in a lot of effort into their menu making it perfect and they truly go above and beyond. I was extremely impressed with our dining experience and we cannot wait to return soon.

Food: 5/5
Coffee: 4.5/5 (not hot enough for me)
Service:6/5 (wait is that possible? 😆)
Ambience:4/5
Pet friendly: 5/5

I don’t live locally but I’d travel 30 mins to this cafe. Now that’s saying something.

Came here twice using a voucher and yet the cafe doesn’t skimp on ingredients nor restrict the items you can order. Plus the female staff member was super friendly with my fur babies- they even got a bikkie each!

Food: Eggs Benedict with pulled pork was presented beautifully and tasted. There was plenty of the rich yet tangy sauce to go with the moist pulled pork. Poached eggs were perfect too. The addition of sauerkraut was needed to provide additional acidity. Yum!

On the second occasion, On recommendation by the same female waitress, I hesitantly ordered the Nanban chicken dish as I usually have poached eggs for brekkie and it was early. Boy, the dogs was beyond my expectation! The teriyaki chicken wasn’t overwhelmingly salty with soya sauce, and the Gribiche sauce complemented the chicken well, adding moisture to the black rice and chicken. If you want a chilli hit, there are also fresh cut chillies sprinkled throughout the dish. The entire dish was just very satisfying and fresh. 😋

Coffee with almond milk was really good and not many places do it well with almond milk. However I’d prefer if the coffee is hotter.

I’m looking forward to an even bigger backyard as the owner revealed he’d be renovating it.

We’d return to Enter Neighbour very soon.

Well done to the crew!

Hitting up Enter Neighbour in Camberwell on a Friday or Saturday night is a bit like going to a good friend's dinner party - well, that is, a good friend that can make exceptional cocktails, play live music and can cook delicious food.  But it's Enter Neighbour's warm and friendly vibe, homely interior, and even a collection of board games on offer that makes it feel like you're right at home amongst friends from the minute you walk through their door.

Located Camberwell area. Have been there twice for breakfast 🥞. A cozy little place for brunch and coffee. The egg with toast is yum. The burger looks average but I am amazed by the flavor. Definitely worth trying! 😚

Thursday Brunching at Enter Neighbour, by coincidence a neighbor of our church friends' restaurant! We'd been curious though never seen it open before (being a night owl) but recently they're now open for Friday & Saturday night as a bar!. Located on a strip at the turn of Toorak & Camberwell Rd, between Camberwell and Deakin. Enter Neighbour has been open for a bit over a year...

We came here for family weekend brunch. It was great experience. The food is flawless and staff are friendly and attentive. There is small front room and a good sized backyard. Place is also very kids friendly.. They have a good menu to choose, I ordered the zucchini and corn fritter, the homemade hollandaise on Benedict eggs are nice, the big leek flavor is bit overpowering. My husband chose white truffle, mushroom and scrambled eggs, the truffle is amazing. Daughter has a mini pancake.

Second time lucky!

The first time I arrived at Enter Neighbour we got there at 2 and the kitchen had closed. My only criticism of this cafe is they need to make that obvious on the menu/ website/ social media that that is the case. As I literally couldn’t find it anywhere.

A week later, I arrived in good time so I knew I would definitely be having a brunch! Service was really good and friendly. The cafe has three sections the front bit to sit, a middle section which is a little more cosy and then a courtyard. The cafe isn’t overly fancy, it’s very homely.

The food on social media looked really nice. I had been eyeing up the dishes for ages! We ordered the queen of carrot (dairy free option) with 2 poached eggs and mushrooms. And the truffle mushrooms on toast. A big bonus point for these guys on being really good with people who have special dietary requirements wether that be intolerances or diet choices such as veganism.

My queen of carrot was a good size portion! A lot of carrots. A good size slice of sourdough. And the eggs ran perfectly. The pumpkin purée that came with it though was a little bland it some bits and then wasn’t in others. Feel like it could do with a little chilli kick or some garlic just to give it an extra lift. Was filling though and I really enjoyed it!

The truffled mushrooms looked fabulous and I could smell them across the table! They were cheese and truffly. Beautiful.

An iced coffee and Coke Zero were also ordered. Both grand.

I really like this place. Good staff, cosy atmosphere and lovely food.

What a surprisingly impressive little cafe! Open for just over 1 year, Enter Neighbour have fast become a local favourite, with their philosophy of giving the people what they want being the ideal way to engage with their loyal customers. Undergoing various venue and menu changes over the past year, they currently offer a vibrant all-day breakfast and lunch menu, with rotating specials, and a newly started sharing-style dinner concept on weekend evenings.

With a focus on high quality, locally sourced produce, and environmental sustainability, it is no surprise that the dishes emerging from the kitchen were quite impressive.

The savoury dishes were the most successful on our table, with the Nanban Chicken and King Truffle (mushrooms dish) being hot favourites, even when compared with many other savoury dishes throughout Melbourne's brunch-style cafes. The let down was the Scotch Pancakes, which arrived impressively portioned with two large fluffy-looking pancakes surrounded by coffee soil, chocolate sauce and seasonal fruits. However, the inside of the pancakes were quite dry and tasteless. This dish is apparently a mainstay favourite amongst customers, so perhaps the execution of this dish was out of the ordinary on this particular visit.

The drinks list follows the usual list of offerings, with their range of smoothies hand made (even by the owner) at the front counter. Alcoholic beverages are also available, especially now that their evening sessions have commenced.

Staff are very friendly and hospitable, with many locals swapping conversational banter with the owner and staff, demonstrating a comfortable and enjoyable cafe ambience.

Located in Camberwell where therea a large number of cafes it takes alot to stand out. Enter Neighbor does just that offering a cafe vibe during the day and then turning into a cozy place for a few drinks at night.Boasting a variety of seating options I decided to head outdoors to the courtyard. I ordered a latte and the scotch hotcakes. Hotcakes were light and fluffy and exactly what you'd want and tastes delicious. I'm definitely eager to try the rest of the menu. Staff are extremely friendly.

Enter Neighbour has recently celebrated its first birthday, being situated in Camberwell, where there are plenty of cafes, it certainly takes something special to stand out. In an attempt to do so, Enter Neighbour revamped their menu to focus on high quality produce, while also jumping on the boozy brunch train, where for $35, you are able to have an unlimited number of cocktails with your food.

I went here for brunch with the girls. It was a cosy spacious venue. Very attentive service and a great menu. I thought my dish alone was a 5/5 out of but unfortunately they messed up two orders on the table of two. Otherwise well presented food was delicious.

Had a really nice (and very healthy) brunch at this cute Camberwell cafe. Expect personal and very friendly service when you come here - It's the kind of place where staff would probably remember your name and order; definitely a community-focused spot. I wasn't in a mood to drink, but the cafe is licensed and has some beautiful looking cocktails in addition to wine and beer. In my case, a large hot soy flat white was my substance of choice that day. As seen in the photo, the mugs are quite big, which was a treat. For food, I tried the hash and the Hartwell brunch. The latter was my favourite, full of grains and a delicious hummus and crispy capers. The actual potato part of the hash could have been slightly larger, but the complete dish was substantial with great flavour. Interested to see what the night tapas are like!

Great place! We moved into the area a few weeks ago and were looking for a new place to do our fortnightly brunch. Absolutely loved this place. The food was great (I had nanban chicken and my wife had the corn fritters) and they were DELICIOUS! absolutely must try. They also have a little courtyard in the back which has a lot of potential. It was too hot today though so we sat inside.

Key points: 4.7. Very impressive place. Hip and stylish cafe. Young and old alike will love it. Great menu. Superior food and coffee here. Great alcohol options too. Excellent service. Highly recommended Full Review: This place could revive the pretty moribund Hartwell shopping strip. Either that or the strip may claim it. First off, it’s a lovely space. It sits nicely on the street and is well set out and great to sit in. Super coffee to start off. Thrillingly smooth. Outstanding length. So, the coffee is great. You have to love a place that serves a Bloody Mary. Almost all the best brunch places serve them in my view. The one here is smaller than customary and priced accordingly. It is terrific. I meant to enquire but it has a bacony sort of flavour that is beguiling. And, importantly, the spicing is perfect. It’s a fantastic drink. I asked for a recommendation for brunch. After discussion and advice I settled on the Nanban chicken. The dish has forbidden black rice, gribiche dressing, peas and pickled cabbage, Japanese chicken topped with crispy shallots, fresh chilli and coriander. This was a super recommendation. I’d be very happy to get this dish in a well regarded restaurant. It has great textures and great flavours and a really gorgeous tang. It’s a superbly composed dish and an outstanding brunch option. I savoured ever mouthful. My colleague loved his dish too. The Hartwell Brunch with trout. Both dishes looked great. Both tasted great. Accompanied with a Good Victorian Prosecco both dishes made for a good meal. Service was excellent throughout. Friendly, informative and efficient. This place is the real deal and deserves its very good rating, 4.7 at the time of writing. The key issue for me is whether it will triumph over the location. I lived in this area many moons ago. It’s never been that fashionable but maybe the cafe can change that. The cafe would do wonderfully in the inner city. It should do well here particularly as it is not just a cafe for locals. It’s one of those places that’s well worth travelling to. I crossed several suburbs and was rightly glad I did. We had a great time here. Highly recommended.

Today's experiment took us to this neighbourhood gem, lured by the array of fascinating combinations on offer. There were several other dishes we would've happily tried but the Nanban Chicken and Truffled Mushrooms were too hard to resist. Beautifully spiced chicken pieces rested on a bed of black rice, pickled cabbage and peas topped with fresh chilli, Gribiche dressing and coriander. The dish was creamy, flavoursome and comforting in texture. We love truffle so the mushrooms brought our tastebuds happiness. This place serves Axil coffee, different Mork hot chocolates, matcha, beetroot and turmeric lattes and alcohol. Good quality food and beverages complemented by friendly service and a homely atmosphere. Away from the city rush, it's a good place for the weekend brunch to relax.

Their cafe name is as welcoming as their crew are! 😍 FOOD & COFFEE: I ordered the Scotch Pancakes (of course) and soy latte! Speaking of which, the soy latte was really great as well 🥰 SERVICE: The service is really welcoming and lovely!

The owners seemed genuinely nice and friendly, overall experience was very nice. I liked how they shared the names of their venders on the back of the menu so I felt extra comfortable with eating food and ordering coffee - great coffee as well. We didn't have to ask for more water because they paid good attention to each table, only down side of the experience was that the food took some time, actually more than 35 minutes. We were so very hungry and normally that would've made me not to like the place much, but other than that the service was great and the food was so good. I'd recommend this place and would like to go again.
