Review Zouz Cafe - Camberwell

Dhafer Alshehri
One of the best cafes in the area. What I did like in this cafe , is the outdoor seating as well as the indoor. The drinks are perfect and delicious. The staff are very friendly and smiling all time. I do recommend this place for all people in Melbourne.

Great place to have my brunch or afternoon tea. The food there was tasty and visually stunning. Coffee was outstanding and the hot chocolate was also worth to try. Friendly staff and good vibe. Recommend to everyone.
Kids For Dinner
Zouz Cafe ticks all the boxes! ⠀ This family-friendly café based in Camberwell (right on the cusp of Burwood) has it all. Space, friendly staff, delicious food, and somewhere for the kids to play. ⠀ Their menu has a mix of Modern Australian faves and some European flavours too. Their kid's menu includes pancakes, nuggets, cheese burgers and fish and chips. The kid's area is nested safely at the back, with a large table perfect for bigger groups. There are feeding friendly with sofas for comfort too! ⠀ 📷 Superfood Bowl - Roasted Cauliflower, pumpkin, mixed grains, crushed green peas, dried fruits, crispy kale, pickled beats, crumbed feta, roasted seeds, and a poached egg 📷 Maple Bacon Waffle Chicken Burger - with cos, fried egg, bbq sauce.

Visited this cosy cafe with my friend. The food was delicious and food was served quickly. We tried purple rain and superfood bowl. Really loved this place for a quick hangout.

Love this place for its front enclosed area. I can bring my bubs and his pram in no problem. Not to mention I can bring my furbabies in too. (I dont go anywhere without them). Nice to sit outside without the wind. Outdoor heating and outdoor undercover available. Beautifully presented food. Delicious and fresh too. Nice mix of specials on offer. Friendly and helpful staff.

The menu is well set but some vegetarians might feel it's limited. Literally everything tastes good right from the salmon to the smashed avo. The big brekky is really filling and a along with a Nutella shake or a Berry smoothie it's a perfect combo. Might be a bit pricey for students and others but still recommend to visit.

Cute and cozy little cafe with lovely staff. Very warm and welcoming. The food was okay, I had the Zouz Benedict; the hollandaise tasted more like margarine which was unpleasant, but the dish was not smothered in it so that's a plus. The pulled pork was too sweet for my taste, but the egg (which I had scrambled, not poached), smashed avocado and potato fritter was delicious. My partner had the Zouz burger which was delicious; the coffee was mild in flavour, making it easy drinking and yummy.

Great cafe with heaps of space. It's great for family (with kids), big groups or just a cosy catch-up with friends. I'd definitely recommend the pancake which taste fabulous.

Best takeaway during lockdown. Excellent services and quality of food :)

Have been wanting to come here for ages as it is right in the neighbourhood, and it sure did not disappoint! Friendly service, great food and lovely presentation.

We had the Purple Rain (can never go wrong with smashed avo, and this one was flavoured so well) and the Zouz Burger. Almost nothing to fault bar the chips that came with the burger were soft and under-seasoned.

Will definitely be back to try their new dinner (!) menu.

I had the Granola and my cousin had the pancakes and they were both absolutely amazing!!
The granola was very light and felt naughty but was very nice.
The Pancakes were light and fluffy and coupled with an amazing panna cotta. But there may have been one too many.
Both meals were as vibrant as the cafe and staff were lovely!
Will definately be returning!! :)

Food was good and the venue is a nice brunch place

Unfortunately,
Service was a little disappointing. I came in hopes of using my zomato gold and even 2 days before coming, contacted the cafe and was told that it could be used. On arrival I was told that it couldn’t, despite being told otherwise. Although staff were apologetic and I acknowledge it is not their fault, being told inconsistent information by management soured the experience. I felt as though I was not valued as a customer because of this and their lack of ability to provide anything to compensate

Cafe area inside seems old and needed updating. Service was okay. Meals were a bit pricey for the quality of meals - averaging $20 to $25 per meal.

Food wise, the size of meals were decent. The sea food risotto my dad had tasted not bad. My brother had the fish and chips which was average. My mum had the open souvalaki sandwich and the meat was a bit thick and fatty but the flavour was good. I had the salmon salad and had lots of greens which I liked. I enjoyed the salmon and flavours.

We travelled all the way to Zouz Cafe for only one reason and that was because it was listed on Zomato gold as offering 1 for 1 food. Imagine our disappointment when we were informed the offer must be redeemed between 11am and 3pm (i.e. at payment) and so would not be entitled to the offer. I commented that no such restriction was stated on the app but the staff defended the policy by pointing to a physical sign at the entrance and the policy was introduced as it's a busy time of day (see photo for what they consider "busy") . Why would zomato allow restaurants to list themselves as offering zomato gold only to restrict the use of it. The food itself was mediocre and overpriced (we only stayed as my 2 year old son was hungry). Needless to say, we will not be returning. One positive is the dedicated play area for young children which my son enjoyed (too bad for Zouz cafe he's not old enough to write a review)

Entered cafe, family of 6, said we don't do zomato between 11:30-3:30 weekends. 2 problems 1. Presumption of using zomato, felt very racist. 2. Said they can alter no zomato timings as per their wish, as mentioned in terms and conditions, which I showed to them wasn't mentioned in there timings. Request zomato to disbarr such partners brining bad reputation to zomato and it's members. Unbelievable!

Almond latte - good coffee and good almond milk!
Cold press orange juice - a bit small for the price otherwise fine.
Food - slow to come out. We ordered the veggie burger and the eggs Benedict.
Veggie burger had a very yummy patty. Chips would be better served with aioli in my opinion. Good option for vegetarians.
Eggs Benedict - poached eggs cooked well, pork had good flavour. Rosti wasn’t crispy and overall dish was a bit cold. Overall OK.
Portion size is generous.
Lots of flies indoors.
Paid approximately $50, we were told Zomato Gold not available on public holidays.

WE WILL NEVER RETURN. In addition to the food being bad we were not even allowed to redeem the Zomato Gold.
The cafe had a sign which said that we are unable to redeem it between 11:30 and 2 which was fine with us because we ordered way before then. In addition the waitress told us “it would not be a problem”.
Overall we are very disappointed with the service and the food, it makes us sick to have to pay full price for something that mediocre.

Would recommend for those looking for a quiet comfy atmosphere that is still ‘instagram worthy’

My partner ordered the big breakfast and each item was cooked perfectly.

I ordered the pancakes with a side of bacon. I absolutely love that this comes with a Panna cotta. Pancakes were well cooked and fluffy.

We also order a latte and a soy cappuccino, both were divine.

The negatives:
- the place is quiet large and there was no real indicator if you grab a menu and sit down or wait to be served at the door. Extremely confusing, felt like I was disturbing staff at the counter when asking if we should grab a seat or not.
- pancakes were quite ‘syrupy’ as well as pretty sweet vanilla ice cream. There were grapes stuffed in between the pancakes (a very minor complaint and purely a preference to have without).

A very good brunch option in this area. Tasty and quality cafe food, with a nice outdoor dining area. Definitely value for money while on zomato gold 1+1!

Great food and drinks. Friendly staff! :)

I ordered the pulled pork quesadillas and it was the 👏🏼 best 👏🏼 decision 👏🏼 ever! The food portion was great and it tasted so good, food came quickly and the iced chai was refreshing on a 40° day. Would come back for the quesadillas, omelette and poached eggs! Spacious place to hold a party or just have a quiet time in the morning.

4/5 stars -

🥑 Food:
we ordered the
-pancakes
-garden salad
-pulled pork quesadilla
The food was great across all the dishes and consistent!

We also got juices and iced lattes which I think were a bit on the pricier end ranging from approx. $7-9 per drink

🍓 Service: service was average - nothing to bad but nothing spectacular. There was a mix-up with the drinks that we ordered but it was rectified quickly and the server apologized for the mistake which we appreciated!

🍇 Ambience: quite a spacious place and the outside seems like it would be lovely to sit in for the summertime!

We used our zomato gold here which I think makes this place great value for money - a good place to check out if you are in the area!
Rebecca Balsim
Pancakes were delicious - packed with flavour and definitely value for money as this dish was massive.

Chicken salad was also good, chicken was slightly over cooked but overall the dish was very enjoyable.

The staff are super friendly and nice. There are heaps to choose from the menu too. They are preparing for ab outdoor barbecue. Really recommend you to come and try !

Zouz Cafe

Big open cafe with plenty of seating.

My partner and I visited Zouz cafe on a Sunday around noon. Zouz offers plenty of seating inside and out with different types of sections.
When you first walk in and see a chill couch seating area. Walking further in leads you to through to the outdoor seating area then followed by the indoor dining area and kids section. Plenty of seating and choices depending on your mood.

We were served quickly and ordered our drinks, I ordered a strong Latte and my partner an Iced Chocolate. The Latte had a sweet aftertone to it, which I don’t prefer. The Iced Chocolate was room temperature milk with ice cream which made the drink taste on the warmer side, not as an iced chocolate should.

Like some restaurants who haven’t yet updated their menu, Zouz’ Zomato is different to the actual instore menu we received. I was quite excited to try the Shakshuka which is displayed on Zomatos website however didn’t see it in store.

I opted for one of the specials - the chilli scrambled egg on croissant. My partner ordered the Zouz Benedict.
The chilli scrambled eggs were delicious but not as chilly as I hoped as per its name. Personally I would have preferred bread over a croissant and didn’t think it needed the hash to accompany it.
The Zouz benedict was also quite tasty but again I felt the hash brown didn’t fit very well for the dish and would have liked more bread instead as the hash brown was dense for our liking and not as crispy.

The staff here are very friendly and attentive, overall we enjoyed our time at Zouz.

Such an amazing experience!! I went will my 7year old daughter, expecting for her to tell me after 5 minutes that she was bored and wanting to leave. However, with the amazing kids corner and a lot of table games to play, we ended staying for over 2 hours and having a great time. The food was awesome not only for me but also my daughter loved the quesadilla. Also it is very difficult to find healthy to find healthy options for kids, but at zouz we had no problem at all, even the chicken nuggets are home made and the frozen rubbish that you normally get for kids. Love it!!! And now it is my new family café!!!!
Monique Pearson
Absolutely delicious food! Amazing value for money and awesome staff!!

Good food, Nice staffs!!

We went around lunch time and the food was below average. I was quite disappointed as I expected good food reading all the fantastic reviews. Maybe it was an off day. And there was virtually no service. Felt rushed to order the food and then they would dump the food when ready and you wouldn’t see the staff at all. I guess I expected or overly expected good food and service etc. won’t be going back for sure. So many better places around.

Went here with my family on the weekend and loved it. We loved the space where our toddler could get busy by himself playing. The play area is big for a cafe and pretty well maintained which is the win factor for me. The food was lovely too and in descent portion, we ordered the Lamb Souvlaki and the Benedict. The meat was tasty and tender, the chips was cooked nicely the whole combination of the souvlaki was just nice. If i could fault it, i wish there was pita bread in it rather than and/or less chips as what souvlaki is usually about.

Today i thought i'll take my colleagues to try this place since it's near our work and we could use as or lunch options in the future should they like the place/food. We ordered the lunch deal (burger), the grill calamari and the smoke salmon which they all came nicely and tasted great. Mine was the smoke salmon and it was wonderful. I love the potato rosti, it was nicely done (chrispy on the outside, it's not too thick/thin and it's not oily). The apple salad is also to die for.

The (BIG!) let down came as we're leaving the place when we're settling the bill. Turned out it is the store policy that you have to mention about having a coupon or whatever (mine is zomato gold) before you actually order the food. hmm weird.. i understand all places that we go we have to mention such coupon before you get the bill which we did (i understand it'll be hard to go back once tax invoice is generated). In the end after insisted few times that she couldn't do anything, she had to get the manager, it's not the policy she eventually gave in (which i think it's because there's another customer waiting to pay as well). Mind you i was here only few days ago and this wasn't the case that's why i also insisted. I have NEVER had any problem showing it at the end (before receipt/invoice was produce) at any places as long as the food that we order are part of the deal selections (fair!). So my suggestion for ZOUZ cafe is if this is really your rule, why don't you put it clearly on your menu, on your wall, or for the waitress to ask/remind when people sit down rather than assuming all people with the coupon are all cheapskate that is too scared to pay hence have to ask about this coupon beforehand. Also, by asking this earlier, does that mean that you will serve different food (quality/quantity/ingredients/look) to those that did not mention of using a coupon??? i wonder.....

Great food and excellent service. Ordered the big breakfast and a mocha which was very nice. Good spot to bring your dog and enjoy a coffee or two outside in the sun :))

Really nice place - you can choose to sit outside or inside. We ordered a steak sandwich and the Greek souvlaki bowl, and a chai. The food was nice, however we noted that the lettuce in the souvlaki bowl was not look fresh (bruised and brown). The staff were happy to take on our feedback which was good of them. Overall a good place to come to for a long catch up since it is a fairly quiet place (better than places where you need to yell just to be heard by people sitting next to you).

To try:
- grilled halloumi - I added an egg and requested to have them scrambled and it worked out so well! Loved the combination of silky eggs with halloumi and crispy kale
- tuscan chicken salad - beautiful chicken tenderloins served with a very hearty salad base

Zouz cafe has heaps of indoor and outdoor seating. Inside it also has a corner with chalk walls and heaps of space for kids to play. A great venue for families and groups and certainly somewhere I will revisit.

A WARM AND INVITING CAFE WITH PLENTY OF MENU OPTIONS!

We came here as part of an event and was treated with the most wonderful Afternoon Tea we have had! There were plenty of savories, sandwiches, sweets and scones! And what's even impressive was the sizes of each piece! You will definitely not go hungry and the afternoon tea is so reasonably priced that you just cant go wrong!

We also got a showcase of other dishes such as the pulled pork brioche bun, hot cakes and nourish bowl. Everyone was so stunningly presented and tasted even better when we tasted them!

Highly recommended cafe in Camberwell with a lovely service!

What an amazing cafe!
It has such a lovely welcoming vibe as you walk in. The interior is beautiful and the staff are excellent. There is also a childrens play area which makes it ideal for families with small children, keeping them busy while parents can brunch away!

We had both a savoury and sweet high tea and got to photograph some of the most beautiful dishes from their menu!
Everything we tasted was absolutely delicious and so flavourful- not to mention incredibly photogenic!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, everything was delicious and I felt most welcome and comfortable here!

Great ambience and boss was extremely helpful with service. Food was not bad

Food is well presented. They have a play area for the little one!! We will literally come back here for that!!

Great cafe! I really enjoyed the event I attended here.

The restaurant is a mix of modern, funky & homey. I liked the play area for children in the corner, which included a chalk board, making it very family friendly.

Soy chai latte: Great spice and creamy.
The food was delicious! As it was an event setting, I enjoyed such a wide range of dishes. For savory, I enjoyed dishes such as arancini balls, hot chips, eggs benedit (which had very runny eggs) & more. The high tea tower was lovely, which included sweets such as lemon tarts! The scones were fresh and not too dense. The food kept flowing I couldn't keep up!

The service was very friendly & polite. The food came out quickly & the staff were very attentive to the wide range of orders that were flowing through

This became my favourite cafe. The food was standard but the coffee was really delicious. I have a toddler so it is hard to eat but this cafe has a kids play area which makes me do my thing. No other cafe has this! I will go here often to have mothers group~~~

~Had a delicious High Tea Brunch here the other day~

The high tea consisted of one savoury and one sweet tier and a tier of scones.
Savoury
- this had a good selection of savoury bites but nothing really blew me away. The sandwiches were slightly dry but the fillings were tasty. The tomato and burrata cheese skewers were yum though!
Sweet-
- I loved this tier !! There were soooo many delicious treats to try and my favourite was the lemon meringue tart which was the perfect balance of sweet and citrus. The eclairs were also so tasty. Unfortunately I found he orange cake slightly dry and there wasn’t a lot of flavour
Scones
- could not fault- so fluffy and melted in my mouth !
Cosy, friendly and delicious food!

📍Located on a busy road in Camberwell, there is various options for free parking and a tram stop just moments away.

I recently visited Zouz Café for a brunch event. We were served high tea that was divided into three different courses. Of course, each came out on the traditional three tiers but I felt Zouz jammed a lot more into their High Tea.. in the best way possible!
The savoury starters, the delicious desserts and the scrumptious scones to finish.

🔅The venue was busy and buzzing with noise from various groups in the venue. The café has multiple areas for seating, both interior and exterior.

👥The staff were busy but still managed to be friendly and add some personality to their service.

💚Friendly Staff
💚Ease of Parking
💚Great High Tea
💚Cosy Interior

I had my first experience at Zous yesterday with a group of friends and I was so very impressed! We went with the high tea option which was great value! The food looked so good that we also snuck in a few extra dishes. My favourite by far was the Garden Bowl! The kale was cooked to perfection and the flavours were amazing. How amazing do the pancakes look too though!
The service here was fantastic. The chef came and spoke to us about what we were eating and all the staff very friendly. Highly recommend heading here!

Zouz Cafe is a large, spacious venue in the heart of camberwell. I was lucky enough to hold an event here, in which we all were able to try their high tea.

The stunning presentation of the dishes really caught my eye. I loved that you can try both sweet and savoury items, allowing for balance.

The selection was massive, but my favourite by far would have to be the homemade scones. Fluffy and fresh, they were extremely generous servings. The cream was lighting whipped and the sweet jam complemented it extremely well.

I would definitely record this cafe and encourage everyone to try their new high tea option.

So glad I had the opportunity to check out this lovely cafe for the first time! I experienced their high tea for two people which is something I haven’t done for a long time and didn’t realise I actually should do more often!

There was two rounds of the high which was amazing in itself. The first tower consisted of mainly savoury canapés; arancini balls with fries and pesto sauce, mini sandwiches (tuna, egg and salmon), egg frittata, mini pastries, bocconcini and tomato skewers, and scones with jam and cream. My favourite was definitely the arancini balls and the pesto sauce was something else. The scones were delicious, they were so soft and not too doughy which I loved. Second tower was great variety of sweets; more scones, mini lemon meringue tart, cookies, eclairs, strawberry mouse, caramel slice, orange & poppyseed cake, and berry muffin. Amongst this spread I really enjoyed the lemon meringue tart, orange and poppyseed cake and the strawberry mouse which was super smooth.
To end this lovely experience I was served a latte that was perfectly strong and a nice finish to all the sweets I had! You can also have champagne with your high tea if you are feeling like an alcoholic beverage.
I also have to mention that the staff were all lovely today, very accommodating and kept checking that we were all sorted. The chef also personally brought out the high tea and listed what each canapé was.

I definitely recommend considering doing the high tea with a bunch of friends for a different brunch experience or for a special event. This cafe also has a great breakfast menu which I must try on my next visit!

I went to Zouz cafe for the first time today and had an absolute amazing time! We indulged in a high tea that included multiple selections of savouries and multiple desserts, as well as to die for scones! As well as this, we also received a few main meals and they were as equally as delicious! Beautiful presentation and amazing flavours, it’s a must to visit Zouz cafe!
Timinmelbourne
I called into this cafe and I ordered a strong skinny latte. The cafe only had a handful of people inside but the service was really slow, just for a coffee.

My latte wasn’t a latte but a flat white, there was no milk froth and the coffee was hot and watery, and the flavour of the coffee was strong but bitter.

It was one of the worst coffees that I’ve had in a while and looking around there is a lot of cafes in this street so I ended up pouring my coffee out as I really couldn’t drink it.

I saw the barista pouring cold milk into the jug that she was frothing up. I’m not sure if that made any difference to the coffee but I’ve never seen that before.

Maybe I should have taken my coffee back it was so bad, but I ended up going elsewhere. I won’t be back!

We visited this cafe in a Saturday morning after the raining. Looks small from the outside but when you walk in, it's quite spacious. Also has the outdoor area, but was closed due to the raining day.
I love the egg Benedict and we even ordered second serve to share.
I'm not much fan of mocha latte, can't comment on it.
Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.

Great classic brunch spot in Camberwell. The place is very spacious and the meals are delicious 😋 - we had the big brekky and eggs benedict. If you are looking for a more traditional and classic brunch, this is a good spot to try out! We got here from Zomato Gold 👍
Bob Sharon
The ambiance and service is great. However the coffee was week and average at best. The steak sandwich had a great relish but had a huge piece of fat and gristle on the outside as pictured here. The steak was also well done. Even though it was thin it should have been less cooked. The grilled calamari was not very fresh and tasted so. Chips were great as was the kids chicken nuggets. So overall, a 3.

We had visited Zouz Cafe for brunch and here’s what we had!

Berry waffle - served with berry compote, fruit, Oreo crumb, salted caramel and Nutella! A good concept however the waffle was a little dry and there was not enough spread to go around it.

Zouz benedict - served with smashed avocado, slow cooked pulled pork, mint parsley, dill poached eggs, hollandaise sauce served on hash brown! The hash brown was really crispy and moist and the pulled pork was so tender and juicy! The best part of this was how well the combo had worked! The flavors were spot on hence making it my fave for the day!

Pancakes - served with salted caramel sauce, berry panna cotta, toasted almond flake and maple syrup! The pancakes were thick, fluffy and moist and the maple syrup was a nice touch to this! The berry panna cotta was a good concept though it would have been nice to have the whole piece.

Zouz Cafe has a lot to offer and we look forward to trying the rest of their dishes!

Good environment, good food, good coffee, value for money and friendly staff...will come back again to try other foods!

Lovely coffee and food, and very friendly staff! I had the pancakes and they were delicious. I would definitely go back here again for coffee and breakfast :)

One of the rare occasions that I feel like a burger but the Zouz Burger really stood out to me. But I didn't expect such a monster to come out!

I managed to eat it all but man, was it a struggle.

Maggie 1 : Burger 0

Really generous servings at the cafe, nice atmosphere, would have loved to sit outside if it wasn't so cold 😅
If you can't finish the meal, you could always take it away too!

Great deal when paired with Zomato Gold!

We called into Cafe Zouz today to check out the menu. With a cool front courtyard and a heap of space inside there was plenty of choice of tables when we first arrived but the venue filled up fairly soon after we sat down and ordered. We enjoyed the buzz of the patrons whilst drinking our coffee (smooth) and sunrise juice (blend of orange carrot & apple) yum.

Then menu had a lovely mix of healthy, hearty and light dishes. We started with the perfect winter breakfast of Porridge. This honey cinnamon porridge was full of berries and a firmly poached pear. Bold on honey this porridge was warming and delicious.

The Purple Rain dish consisted of avocado, feta and beetroot on toast and was an absolute winner. The earthy flavours where the perfect combination and the fresh pickled beetroot sublime, the dukha was a crackling blend with a fabulous cumin hit, I throughly enjoyed this dish.

We also ordered the Pancakes. This fluffy pancake stack was sublimely paired with a berry panna cotta that bought a fabulous jammy berry hit and made me question my long held belief that panna cotta should be taken off brunch menus. I think the secret weapon on this dish may have been the dehydrated fruits. These flavour sensations where thinly sliced but packed a full punch of flavour, a real winner of a dish.

Zouz has so much space that some of it is partitioned off for yoga classes that have just started.

Thanks so much for I inviting us in. Well recommended

Zouz Cafe is a beautiful cafe on the busy Toorak Road in Camberwell, conveniently located in front of the tram stop.

The venue is absolutely stunning. It’s so huge - they even host functions and meetings for up to 140 people. At the front is the cutest outdoor dining area, which is bright and colourful - perfect for a sunny day.

We started off with an almond latte and chai latte. The almond latte was nice and smooth, and the chai latte was some of the best!

For food, we had the Zouz Benedict, which was probably our favourite dish of the day! We loved the combination of crispy hash brown (which they make in-house) and creamy avocado which gave a nice texture. The pulled pork was cooked nicely and slightly sweet. A very enjoyable dish!

The Fried Chicken Roll was epic! It was huge - served in a delightfully soft brioche roll - and had an ample amount of kale slaw and fried chicken. The fried chicken was a little bit dry on the inside but nonetheless very crispy and delicious. The kale slaw was very refreshing and the sriracha mayo added moisture and flavour to the dish. Also, the sweet potato fries were amazing!

Lastly, we had the Pancakes for dessert - almost too pretty to eat! I loved the concept of fluffy pancakes with panna cotta! The panna cotta added a nice tartness to the dish. Although the pancakes were a little bit dry, the panna cotta really helped to add moisture too.

We also had the Banana Mango Smoothie and the Mixed Berry Smoothie which we really enjoyed. I loved the berry one as it wasn’t too thick nor sweet, and very refreshing.

Overall, we had a lovely time at Zouz Cafe. Portions were very generous and staff were friendly too. I would definitely recommend checking this cafe out if you’re in the area!

Thank you so much for having us!

Not happy atall. The previous owners made this cafe thrive and made the most beautiful combination of foods.

The new owners don’t listen to requests and could’nt even supply avocado without parsley throughout. I eventually settled for another dish and said ‘no chilli please’.
Of course plate got served with chilli

The waitress came over and said ‘oh no got chilli’
i said bluntly
thats ok ill take it off myself
‘ok she said’ and walked off.. no offering to remake or fix the problem.
Eventually couldnt finish the meal as the combination of flavours was awful and did not match atall!

Overall very very disappointed!!!! will not be returning again.

I was more than lucky enough to be invited to this popular and thriving cafe located in the heart of Camberwell. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by lovely staff who simply served with a smile. It was actually quite spacious and they have plenty of room for events and also cater for big events. I wish it was a sunnier day because I loved their outdoor area they have plenty of space for nice photo opportunities. I opted for the berry waffles which was out of this world, all the flavours came together quite well and the sweetness was just right. My plus one had the calamari which was the freshest calamari ever, that dish was simply Devine. I was into their pressed juices as I love to always have a fresh juice with my meals. Overall I cannot wait to come back and visit again I was super stoked with the quality.

Unfortunately they were unable to cater for large crowds. Coffee was not of good taste, came after 45 min, food was only passable. Staff appeared inexperienced and confused. I heard it was a good place to have brunch, disappointing experince
Some Bunee Loves Food
This place is more than a cafe - it can be a function room which can fit 140 people, and there is an indoor and outdoor seating area which is beautifully decorated.

They also offer free yoga sessions on weekends - really giving back to the community!

We started with a long black coffee and a mocha. The black coffee wasn't bitter at all and did not require sugar. Really quality coffee. The mocha was also really good as I am pretty picky with my mocha and require the balance of coffee and chocolate to be done well. This cafe really nailed the drinks!

For the food, we got:

1. Fluffy pancakes with salted caramel sauce, berry pannacotta, nutella, maple syrup and toasted almond flake. This was my dish and it looked really pretty. The pancakes were a bit overcooked on some sides and was a bit burnt.

2. Zouz Benedict - smashed avocado (my friend requested not to have it), slow cooked pulled pork, mint, parsley, dill, poached egg, hollandaise sauce served on hash brown. The dish seemed a bit smaller in portion but it was probably because the hash brown was very thick and narrow instead. The flavours were ok and eggs were cooked perfectly.

3. Berry waffle - with berry compote, fruit, oreo crumb, salted caramel and nutella. This dish looked pretty and tasted ok. A bit common with the berry and fruits. Hopefully they can change up this a bit to include more unique elements such as pandan, matcha, yuzu etc.

Overall, a very very spacious and neat place. Thank you Zouz cafe for having us.

Visited this place for lunch with my workmate to also get some work done. This place was perfect for that with a plug point at a corner to connect my laptop. There's a nice ambience in this place, but the corner table wasn't cleaned properly as the chair had food crummies which I had to clean up!

We got a vanilla Chai latte, a latte for drinks; a big breakfast for myself and a steak Sandwich for my mate. The food was brilliant with good chunks of steak and big breakfast was quite big with good eggs, mushrooms, back bacon and a slice of sausage with bread. The baked beans however felt alittle old though everything else was good. The steak sandwich too looked quite filling with a generous portion!

Good value for money and good food. Slightly improved service and I'd go to a 5 star!
Good Food Good Mood
We were invited to Zouz for lunch yesterday which was an amazing cafe with the coolest outdoor area. The indoor space is also really extensive and regularly caters for large corporate breakfast meetings during the week. There were several appealing spots to pick from but we eventually settled in front of a funky mural in the courtyard.

I sipped on a fresh orange juice as we waited for our food. I ordered the extremely vibrant looking purple rain which was smashed avocado with pickled beetroot and house dried cherry tomato which was something I hadn’t seen before and quite a cool twist. It was a really flavourful and enjoyable dish.

My dining companion raved about the poached chicken salad and the coffee and then we were on to our dessert dish, pancakes with salted caramel sauce, berry panna cotta and toasted almond flakes. This was a exceptional dish that looked absolutely stunning on the plate. The flavour combination was delectable and I loved the little dehydrated strawberries on top. Every mouthful was heaven! A perfect brunch

Came to Zouz during the weekend for lunch. The cafe is spacious. The outdoor area looks really inviting. We started with chai latte, it was very milky we thought the chai flavour was a bit weak. Then we ordered Shakshuka, grilled calamari, pancake and waffle. The calamari was really good they served with chorizo too. However, other dishes could have been better.
Vegan Foods Melbourne
Such a friendly cafe! They were very accommodating to our vegan diet! We tried the chia pudding, avocado smash, garden bowl & granola bowl- All delicious

The sun was out but was a bit ambitious to think we were going to sit outside. Its a lovely cafe and our waiter was lovely. Quite a simple cafe menu! Decent coffee! Burgers were good and the dessert was so beautifully presented. **Disclaimer: although the restaurant has generously invited me to their restaurant this review is still based on my genuine opinion.
Hello. Imnikki
Occupying a huge space, Zouz has a lovely outdoor courtyard for basking under the sun, a spacious dining area that can double as a function area, and finally a quiet nook near the entrance for a quick bite. We took advantage of the sunny day to sit in the front courtyard, and readied ourselves for a leisurely brunch.

I was debating between sweet or savoury, and June, our lovely hostess, recommended that I should go for the Garden Bowl. In her own words, it's delicious and healthy. Fine, I'll eat clean once in a while. True to her words, it was a vibrant bowl filled with fresh and nutritious ingredients. The pickled beets provided a bright acidity, contrasting very nicely with the tangy and creamy whipped feta and the mild nutty flavour of the roasted cauliflower. The crunch from the kale added to the overall enjoyment of this dish.

In true pigging out style, my partner went for the Fried Chicken Roll. Beware, this name is quite misleading. It's actually a burger, or more specially fried chicken sandwiched between charcoal brioche bun if we are going to be padentic about naming it. The fried chicken was moist and tender, and coated in a well-seasoned batter whose only fault was that it was lacking crunch in some parts. The slaw was indispensable to this burger - providing texture and to balance out the deep fried goodness of the chicken; and so was the sriracha mayo in boosting the flavour profile.

Both the mixed berry smoothie and skinny latte were great, capping off a very pleasant meal. Thank you for the invite and the hospitality!
Edible Melbourne
The moment you walk into Zouz Cafe, you are instantly taken by the friendliest of people greeting you.

We were seated and given menu quickly. A quick look at the menu and we were able to find so many choices that would satisfy us. But we had to make a difficult choice of three (I know right!).

We ordered the fried chicken burger, the Eggs Benedict and the berry waffles.

We are not exaggerating when we say the fried chicken burger is to die for. The chicken breast fried chicken was so crispy and so juicy, the slaw second to none and the black brioche bun so delicious and soft.

The Eggs Benedict was also AMAZING. The serve it with homemade hashbrowns which are thick and easily make a slice of bread sound so unappetizing. They serve it with smash avo and on top slow cooked pork that melts in your mouth.

We cannot wait to return to Zouz. Do yourself a favor, get that burger.

Overall score: 19/25 or ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
in 5 words: good coffee near burwood highway
*
Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - we started our brunch with a chai latte and strong latte. Both passed with flying colours - probably one of the better coffees in this area. Really love how full bodied and intense the coffee flavours were.

We then ordered a sweet (berry waffle) and savoury (eggs ben) to sample the cafe’s diverse offerings. While the berry waffle was quite small, I appreciate the experimentation with dehydrated strawberries, which went well with the berry compote and Nutella.

The eggs ben was also pretty good - we were hopeful that the hash browns could be more consistently crispy. The pulled pork was done well though.

I was also informed that they can adjust their brunch menu to accommodate vegan / vegetarian options, which is great!
*
Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The brunch has ample indoor and outdoor space - I especially love how beautiful the outdoor area is with colourful rattan chairs, which would be perfect for sunny mornings. The indoor area resembles a modern pub bistro - I can imagine it being used for private events!
*
Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- standard brunch pricing with dishes ranging between $18-$21. Some brunch places now charge customers extra to add chorizo to the shakshuka. It’s nice to know that zouz does no such thing.
*
Presentation ⭐️⭐️⭐️- The dishes were plated well.
*
Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - June (the owner) was very warm and welcoming to us. Took the time to explain the cafe concept and dishes. thank you for the invite and happy to have found one more great brunch option in the Camberwell / Burwood area!

We were invited to Zouz Cafe for brunch over the weekend. We were welcomed and seated by June who was front of house. She recommended some dishes to us. We ordered the pancakes and the garden bowl. Having seen pictures of the food on Zomato and Instagram we were very excited.
My pancakes were presented beautifully - 3 fluffy and large pancakes stacked atop each other with a large splattering of Nutella, dots of salted caramel sauce, a few blueberries and strawberries and a berry panna cotta. The pancakes were tasty and the sweetness of the Nutella was balanced with the sourness of the fresh berries on the plate. The panna cotta had half collapsed when it was served and had a very gluey texture. It had a sweet flavour but I could not taste berry.
We also ordered the garden bowl. I was confused when it was served because there was no fetta, no kale and no pickled beets as stated on the menu. It was still a balanced salad, with the bitterness of the rocket contrasting the sweetness of the pumpkin and the char of the roasted cauliflower, but was missing the ingredients which was promised on the menu which would have elevated the dish. We told June about the missing ingredients and at first she said the ingredients were there but when we insisted and showed her a photo of the dish she said she would raise it with the kitchen. I also ordered a mango and banana smoothie and there was no mango taste nor colour of the mango in the smoothie at all and I raised this with June. She explained they use frozen mango in the smoothie and there would not be the colour nor much flavour.
Service was otherwise prompt and friendly. The cafe is fairly large and there is also a courtyard in front with outdoor seating.
Thank you Zouz Cafe for the kind invite.
Quince And Cheese
This is a big cafe with beautiful skylights, art, indoor plants and comfy seating. Staff are lovely and the veggie friendly menu is diverse but mostly Mediterranean-inspired. I tried the grilled haloumi as I can't pass up anything with haloumi in the name. It was such an umami bomb of wonderful flavours. Aside from the cheese, I especially loved the crispy kale chips. I also ordered the shakshuka (sans chorizo) which was nice as well. I wish I'd gotten a savoury side such as feta to add the saltiness that was lacking without the meat, but the zaatar bread that accompanied it added nice flavour. Also, a standing ovation is due for my great soy flat white.

I came here today with a group of around 45 people. I can appreciate that it was a large number of people to cater for, but can’t really forgive a 45 minute wait on coffee. The wait staff seemed to be a bit clueless when I followed up and almost questioned me on what I ordered. My brunch was the smoked salmon with potato hash. It was actually nice but if I hadn’t added the extra hash onto my dish, I would have still been hungry. I would most likely come again in a small group to give this place another go, but doubt our group will be there again.

Broken into 3 sections with indoor and outdoor seating, this cafe holds many seats and has the facility to hold a function. Lovely setting and interior.

The spiced chai pot - smoothe and velvelty but slightly diluted, the honey adds sweetness.

Garden bowl - one of their most popular dishes .
A nice Pumpkin puree is cooked just right. Quinoa, crushed peas and pickled beet, a great combination.

Pancakes love the design. Light and fluffy. The pancakes has a slight crisp to it. The berry panna cotta adds zest whilst the salted caramel sauce. Ask for some maple syrup if your feeling traditional. The centre of the pancakes is are slightly doughy though.

Note: I was provided a hosted meal, however, opinions are my own, and based on my experience at the time

The food was really great and came very quickly. The spiced chai latte was lovely and matched the warm and hearty garden bowl. I absolutely loved the grilled haloumi dish, the combination of the crunchy kale and smashed peas with the haloumi was just amazing and one of my favourite dishes I’ve ever had. Overall the only thing that is lacking is probably the atmosphere, with the ambience and surrounding slightly messy and not the best. Other than that the staff were friendly and food was amazing :)

I heard about these pancakes and had to get there ASAP! Have a read below and you’ll know why...

We ordered three dishes today, and they were all really delicious. I love the effort the chef has gone to create such an interesting menu.

PURPLE RAIN - definitely the most amazing smashed avocado dish I’ve had! Included feta, dukkah and beetroot three ways - yogurt, relish and pickled. Such a well designed plate. Loved it.

BERRY PANCAKES - a great combo of flavours and textures.. raspberry Pannacotta, salted caramel, Nutella, dried strawberry and choc cookie crumbs.

GARDEN BOWL - roast cauli, pumpkin, smashed peas, feta and heaps more. With poached eggs. This will put a smile on ya face. So fresh and light.

Juices were really nice too.

Zouz Cafe looks so pretty and the lighting is amazing. Their staff were really friendly and welcoming. I had a classic poke bowl (vegetarian) and my boyfriend had smoked salmon with avocado on toast and eggs. The food was delicious! I definitely recommend!

Came here for a work Christmas lunch today. Catered for a large group of us. Cosy and friendly cafe. I got the scrambled spicy eggs and baked beans which was alright. Enjoyed my spicy chai latte. Would love to try other dishes next time.

Perfect family dinning place ! Havent visit this cafe for long time , quality maintain same like before. They are now doing high tea , that is a awesome initiative , but I haven't try yet. Just love the ambience, I swear every time I pass by this place, I've always been tempted to try it out, until recent. Quite modern and good for business meeting. Very spacious inside and I love the whole decor.
The food was very well presented and quite filling but ordinary. Ordered the Avocado smash and the open chicken souvlaki, which was highly recommended by the waiter, as I couldn't decide, which is definitely my fault. The toast was quite hard to chew on after some point of time, gave up in the end. ^_^
The service was a bit slow, even though it wasn't crowded at all. Quite a pricey place, but you would definitely love the way the dish is presented. Take a look at the photos below.
Yes I take good pictures from my iphone

I often come here early in the morning before work, absolutely love the coffee here especially their chai lattes. Very fun outdoor area that is pet friendly which is exciting to see and I have had a few lunches here as well which were quiet good. Ambience can be busy at times and waiters might miss you but so far their takeaway coffee is fairly quick and the staff are quiet friendly out front.

Zouz has recently started serving high tea. They pride themselves in ensuring that everything is fresh and homemade.

Zouz’s high tea is the cheapest high tea I’ve been to besides from the Beans Republique in Glen Iris however Zouz also serves tea and champagne with its high tea. How much is it? $29 per person! Was it any good? Yes! There was a good selection of savouries and sweets. Plus I’ve been told that the menu changes as well depending on what produce is available and what’s in season.

The staff are also very friendly as well. The chef is also very chatty and likes to see what everyone thought of the food as well!

I would definitely recommend this high tea. It goes to show that you don’t need to spend much to be able to get a good quality high tea in Melbourne anymore. It’s definitely going to be an eye opener for venues who charge $60 plus for their high teas.

Zouz is a local cafe and I decided to have my 30th birthday party there and it was fantastic. The venue were super relaxed but incredibly helpful, nothing was too big or small! The food served on the night was delicious and the perfect amount for the number of guests. The beverages available were great quality and at a great price. The venue itself is presented in a lovely way so I did not need to purchase many decorations as it already has a great vibe! I would highly recommend Zouz not only for brunch as it's a weekend favourite, but also as a great venue for a function! On another note we take our dog there all the time and it's lovely to sit outside. The staff are super kind and friendly to me and to our dog :) The coffee is great and the food is always very tasty and filling!

Coffee and breakfast was pretty good. Nice decor and friendly staff. Has a nice feeling in the front courtyard, prefect if you had a dog. Recommended

Service can be slow at times (especially lunch hour) however food is quite consistent in quality. Egg was cooked a little too much and the fritter lacked abit of flavour however past dishes have been pretty tasty.
Stunsail
Despite a somewhat misleading interior design which is part eating hall, part modern pub bistro, this place is fantastic. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is uniformly delicious - the Sriracha Meat Balls with melted jack cheese gremolata and toasted rustic white loaf had the perfect balance of salt, cheese and tomato to really hit the spot

Located on the busy strip close to Burwood, this is a large cafe that serves classic menu breakfast / lunch and also capable of hosting a sizable party / gathering.
Good coffee, classic food menu and friendly service, with both indoor and outdoor seatings available.
