Review Miss Korea Kitchen - Camberwell

Nice dining environment, very friendly staff. Good Korean cuisine above the average.

Absolutely amazing food and staff. Very accommodating and fair prices. Great and affordable lunch menu when you need a quick bite to eat. They also have a more expansive dinner menu available. I always recommend this gem to anyone who loves great flavors and fair portion sizes! Yum!
Isuru Medonza
Great food and great service. The spicy crispy chicken was my favourite dish for sure.

I would love to give 1 star for the hair from chicken. Kitchen staff was not wearing a hat. And guess what, his hair was found on my chicken. How do I know? The Waitress has longer blond bleached hair. Service was good. Waitress even came after to give my airpod back after I left. Foods were very average. Vegetable dumplings were good. Sweet& chili was sweet (good enough to eat for my bf) vegetarian pancake was okay. However My boyfriend was amazed by soy&garlic flavor. He'd give 5 stars. For me, hmm. It's okay. A bit too strong garlic flavor. I wouldn't go back to this place unless my boyfriend absolutely wants the soy&garlic chicken.

Amazing service from the 1 team member that was running tables! Really good portion sizes, great place to come to share with friends. The Fried chicken is delicious!

Great food and service (I ordered the beef bibimbap) :). The website form doesn't seem to be working and I don't like calling on the phone so that should get fixed.

Very nice smallish Korean restaurant with good food and drinks. Service also impeccable
Gina
Friendly and timely service practising social distancing with table bookings. Flexible with minor menu alteration to suit customers. Beef bbq was sensational. Soup/stew can be more intense with flavours.

Being a Camberwell local, I’ve passed this place a lot and decided it’s time to give it a try! The interior is nice, but a little dark. However the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We tried the famous KFC in garlic and soy which were my favourite option of the night. We then got these beef deconstructive taco dish - can’t remember it’s name but photo attached. It wasn’t bad, but it was too my taste. Partner got a noodle dish which he enjoyed!

Amazing Korean bbq

Very enjoyable dinner, tasty food, friendly staff and reasonable prices. It was my birthday and we were a bit early with no booking but they opened up for us. I will definitely revisit this amazing place :-) highly recommended !

Been here couple times before, and the quality used to be good. Firstly, the waiting time for food was too long, while I understand it’s Friday night it still took 40 minutes for entree. From the time we ordered, we waited 50 minutes, in a smoke filled restaurant, for the first main to arrive.

Then the ginseng soup was completely bland and tasteless. The chicken had absolutely no flavour. To top everything off, the worse came last. Ordered the beef ssam and the beef did not taste fresh, had an “off” smell and awful after taste. Could not get through half the dish.

Expensive and probably the worst Korean food I’ve had in Melbourne.

We had the grilled steak set menu (dinner). Food is not fresh. Beef has smell, meat is chewy. Fried rice is just rice with frozen veggies. We had bad tummy the following day, I will not go back to this store.

Great Korean food. Fresh. Large range of options. Personally I prefer KimChi Hut in Glen Waverley but this is pretty good as well.

Had sushimi for entree and then for main had a rice bowl, Korean fried chicken and s sizzling platter. All very good. The cocktail I had was pretty good as well at at $8.50 is a bargain.

The offerings are largely traditional, and favourites like the Korean fried chicken (swicy skewed towards sweet over spicy), seafood pancake (great ratio of seafood and veggies to batter, and not an overwhelmingly strong presence of kimchi), and tender pork bulgogi were on our must-order list as soon as we came across them on the menu. With some of us bouncing back from colds, the light and clean flavours from the ginseng chicken broth were greatly appreciated.
Dine And Dash
Miss Korea Kitchen, located at 845 Burke Road in Camber well is a trendy restaurant serving up some authentic and delicious Korean food. We were invited to dine here tonight, and we were most eager to see what the buzz was about.

Walking in, we were shown to our table. The venue was relatively small, being able to seat roughly 60 people. I really liked the fluorescent ‘Miss Korea’ sign which illuminated the establishment.

We ordered the Grilled Beef Salad, Seaweed Salad, Stone Bowl Bibimbap, Bulgogi, LA Galbi, Two Sashimi plates and Korean Deep-Fried Chicken. The food was absolutely incredible! We can’t remember the last time we’d had such delicious Korean-inspired food.

The Bibimbap was extremely flavoursome and all the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Both the Bulgogi and the LA Galbi were definitely the favourite dishes of the night, the beef simply melted in your mouth and both meals were of a very generous serving.

The Korean Fried Chicken tasted better than KFC! The chicken was hot, crunchy and very juicy. The sweet and sour sauce that accompanied the dish definitely gave it that extra kick. I really enjoyed the Sashimi plates. One was just raw fish while the other one was torched on our table which I thought was really cool! It was pleasant to have both sashimi plates to compare the textures. We really enjoyed the torched salmon!

Finally, the Grilled Beef Salad and the Seaweed Salads were both refreshing and great choices to accompany the hot food. The beef was cooked well and the oriental dressing on the Beef salad was divine. The Seaweed Salads (although small) was delectable.

Overall, our dining experience tonight was one to remember! The staff were exceptionally pleasant and attentive. They were eager to please and were able to guide and recommend us through their menu.

If you’re looking for Korean food, Miss Korea Kitchen is a must!

As the weather becomes colder during the night, I am slowly craving for hearty meals that may or may not agree with my current physical fitness goals. Whilst I try to emphasise more on fibre in my diet, I am still undoubtedly reaching out for the less healthy options. WL and I visited Miss Korea Kitchen last night and my mind instantly reminded me to have at least one plate of fibre to which, WL funnily hesitated but obliged nonetheless. We had no trouble finding parking in Camberwell and as it was past 6pm, parking tickets are not required.

After attending a few functions that day we didn't know where to eat and just wanted something local since it was about 8:30pm. Kids suggested to go to Miss Korea which we said let check if the kitchen would be still open since it was late. Lucky for us it didn't close until 10pm on Sat night. The staff were nice but wouldn't say super friendly. Took them a while to take our order. Our drinks came pretty quickly but the meals took at least 30mins. I could understand if they were really busy, meals would take longer to prepare but it wasn't as it was close to closing time. Finally our meals did come which by then was around 9.30. The food were good size servings and the taste just hit the spot being not to oily, salty or to sweet as i found majority of the time korean food to be rather sweet. I was rather disappointed with one of the dishes which was the ox tongue. I consider it to be expensive if i got only not even 12 slices of ox tongue but a massive amount of onion and garlic. The taste was great but just a little expensive for that dish.
Miss Korea i would say is little more expensive than any other Korean resturant I've been to with similar if not the same standard. If we didn't have to wait for such a long time for our food it would have been 5 star.

Whilst walking around Camberwell looking for a quick feed we stumbled upon Miss Korea Kitchen and I’m a sucker for Korean food (thank you Mr D for introducing kimchi into my life) so we plopped our booties down and flicked through the menu. The staff greeted us with massive smiles on their faces and it had such a casual ambiance.
The Brunchabout Diaries
Miss Korea has the biggest bargain lunch ever. The place was absolutely packed when we went and we only just managed to get the last table. The server gave us a piece of paper and pencil and you get to choose a meat main, rice/noodle and a small side - all for only $13!

I got the beef bulbogi with pasta and takoyaki (octopus balls). Everything was delicious and the meal was huge - you will certainly leave thoroughly satisfied. Only downer was our meal was a bit cold.

It’s also a BYO restaurant for those interested.

Great value at this place. Good came out quickly. Quite modern interior too. Their pancake was very chunky and had an interesting texture. Will be going back again if I’m in the area

My favourite out of all had to be the pork spareribs, full of meat and so flavoursome. The meat was so soft and they fell off the bone so easily. Japchae and cheese buldak were done to perfection too. I wish they provided side dishes though
Kahmin
enjoyed my soft tofu soup alot - so rich. it came with many ingredients and everything was really good. but it was a little pricey. fried chicken was sweet and really crispy. good lunch spot, fast service and friendly staff.
Lightworker Trinh
A pleasant place to have lunch and order the lunch special. I wish they had more condiments apart from kim chi. I love kim chi but the other condiments are more complete. We'll go back again as the mushroom bimbap was delicious!

No of visits: 4
Overall Rating: 3.2 - 3.3
One of those places I struggled to decide whether it is a come-back or not.

Cool things:
- tasty and quality foods; lunch deals really is the hit
- recommended: spaghetti yaki & seared salmon
- lots of heart in interior layout
- all rice are brown / whole grain

Need improvements:
- the menu is limited - the so-call "share plate" is small and actually can be finished by 1 person.
- $26~35 a main, too much in Camberwell standard
- usually only 1 staff on the front, and one behind bar. Can be quite slow.
Blair He
Interesting experience in this small but cozy store. They play silence movie on the wall, which is funny. The BBQ is not like the usual way and they use the fire gun to make it cooked quickly, but the quality of meat is pretty good and the set menu is good for two.
Vicky
Nice atmosphere for a Monday evening with great service. The cheese buldak had the right amount of spice and cheese. The spiced vegetables were also nicely seasoned.
Laine Lee
Pretty little korean dining place but too much smoke smell from the cooking. Dining area was clean and staffs are helpful in explaining the menu. Great for dates to dine minus the smell from the cooking. Food is authentic and good.
Sunny Days Melbourne
This is a lovely place for simple Korean food that is guaranteed to look and taste amazing.
Their Silken Tofu Salad with tangy oriental dressing went down smoothly and filled me up.
We ordered a few of their Stone Bowl Bibimbap. They all looked scrumptious and we could not wait to dig in. The textures from the vegetables and meat combined well with the fresh raw egg and the result was a satisfying meal.
Ahh....Miss Korea, you will not be missed because we will be visiting you over and over again.

This restaurant has very nice atmosphere and food was fantastic delicious.
The moist edamame was lovely and bulgogi was smoky, rich and juicy. Why dont you go and have some?
Sean Romero
A favourite Korean restaurant of ours closed recently, so we had to hunt for a new spot. Miss Korea is generally quite busy, but my wife and I managed to score a table next to the door (the popularity came back to bite us though, as it was cold and the wind got us everytime people opened the door). We started with edamame, but found them to be lacking salt, and the portion a little light on for $5. The bibimbap was flavourful, but missing those lovely crunchy bits on the bottom of the bowl. The bulgogi was nice and smokey, with serving sizes fairly generous for both meals. The prices are a little on the pricey side ($17/$18 for the above meals), but overall we were quite happy with our visit, and the service was friendly. Happy to know there's a good Korean local to visit.

The chicken tastes like MSG. And $13-$14 for a normal meal is very expensive considering the quality. Don't want to be too negative. The environment was not bad.

Chicken tenderloins are to die for!
Fantastic friendly and efficient service, good value for money, have never had a bad meal here. Highly recommend the chicken tenderloin with sweet/spicy sauce, vege dumplings, bimbinbap, and the soju cocktails!
VegoLover
Agadashi tofu was good but lacked sauce.
Mushroom stone bowl had lots of veggies and quite tasty. Menu didn’t mention egg yolk included.
Service was fast and friendly.
The Hungry Nugget
Weather - Cool Autumn’s Night

Food - Food was average at best, flavours seem to not reflect the type of food offered.

The Korean Fried chicken was rather bland and the sauces really flavourless

The Kimchi Pancake was way too thick, had a doughy texture also very chewy

The La Galbi was the best dish of the night, flavoursome and juicy

Service - The service was a tad slow (30 min wait for food) but the waitresses and waiters were friendly and attentive

•The Hungry Nugget•

yummy food with great atmosphere! I love the interior design~ I had dinner with my boyfriend here last time, I impressed by the red brick wall and the projector with black white movie. It’s fantastic idea to show customers the classic movie when they having dinner! Some visual effects in the house. So romantic !

As a local, my Partner and I like to come here for a tasty meal when we don't feel like cooking. The menu is full of yummy Korean classics, the staff are friendly and the place has a great relaxed atmosphere.I recommend the Japchae and the Army Stew!
Bluecat
Loving this place for its lunch sets! You can choose up to 3 things on your plate. Huge servings for $13 lunch sets. A great place for a good feed and run. Attentive staff and nice set up, simple and clean.
Melbourne Epicure
Miss Korea was nice. We came here with a large group of about 24 for a colleague’s going away lunch and the managed to set aside the courtyard area at the back which was nice. Food obviously did not come out all at once which I think is understandable considering the amount of people but it all looked pretty consistent. I went with the set menu option where you pick your base (Rice or Noodles. I went with noodles), your “main” (I went with the spicy pork) and an sort of entrée (I went with the octopus balls “salad”). I had been here a couple of times before and from memory the used to serve these entrees separately but given the amount of people I think they opted to dish everything in the one plate. This was fine and easier to accommodate in the large tables.

The beer I ordered was OK but not icy cold as I prefer them. Particularly important for the half-liter bottle. But the food itself was nice. Not very spicy but it had a nice taste. The rice itself was a touch bland but when combined with the pork it balanced pretty well. The octopus balls were tiny but very crispy and nice too. I would come back.
Eatandbooze
My partner and I ordered Miss Korea from Ubereats, and were so shocked at the tiny portions of food for such a hefty price. A tiny bowl of chicken and veg for $18?! You can get that for $10 from almost anywhere else. Won’t be ordering from here again.
Jean
small servings but tasty and lots of ingredients. Very modern and clean and new restaurant in the ear too Camberwell junction. They don't give you any small side dishes.
Filicia Linarta
The place was empty when we came in which is great as we are bringing one baby with us. The food is ok, the kimchi pancake is quite soggy and thick, the japchae is very runny but nice beef flavour, the bibimbap pork is nice. Portion is quite on the smaller size but flavour is ok regardless.
Will Luu
Ordered the mock meat bulgogi, which was quite tasty. It's rare to see a Korean restaurant have so many vegetarian options, so I was quite spoilt for choice.

The restaurants' interior seemed quite clean and modern. Though the table we were seated seemed like a wooden garden table which was a disappointment compared to other tables in the restaurant.
Sue Jung
Friendly staff and overall the atmosphere is not the typical kbbq setting. The kbbq is cooked on a stonegrill and they use lard to cook the meat. The quality of the meat is extremely high. Their dipping sauces arent really authentic but overall really enjoyed it.
Mini Mooi
Staff was friendly and nice atmosphere. I had bibinpap and my husband had a lot chicken and beer. My meal was nice and right amount. I enjoyed it and I will coming back again.

I went back with friend last week and I had marinade lamb and it was bit chewy but rice and salad was nice.

In Camberwell there are two places when it comes to Korean, Kopan Grill (opposite the road, great for lunch deals) and Miss Korea, which also offers lunch specials though is hiptser-y and more modern. We absolutely love Kopan and so it took us some time to get there. Located next to the camera shop it's easy to miss, unless you know what you're looking for.

This restaurant has nice decor and friendly staff . I always want to come here during winter times to eat the mock meat crispy rice cake soup.

I remember when this place first opened a few years ago- interior design is so modern and chic. Waitresses are friendly and helpful, too. Dinner is a bit more pricey, but I thoroughly enjoy their lunch- it is a few dollars cheaper too! Their stone bowl bibimbap 비빔밥 and seafood pancake 전 are both delicious.

The bibimbap offers a variety of different veggies and your choice of protein on the menu. The seafood pancake was warm and easily finished. Will be sure to come again in the future.

This is probably the balance between having Korean BBQ and still be able to chat with friends. I love how it is located in Camberwell within the suburbs, so it is easy to park. Only people who have gone Korean BBQ before would understand it is highly impossible to be not noisy in the place.

We ordered the BBQ set and the seafood pancake, love the beef BBQ that's done in front of you, and the drink is refreshing.
Yeonginaa
Me and my friend decided to try this Korean restro out . We had ox tongue , edamame and grilled beef salad for entrees. The grilled beef was too big pieces and hard to chew but the salad dressings sauce was amazing. After that we ordered kimchi & seafood pancake and sweet potato noodles to share . To sum up,
Food - 3/5
Ambiance -3/5
Service -4/5
Food Coma Survivor
Love the cute ambience, staff were friendly. I always get the set lunch (teriyaki noodles, tempura, side salad) on weekdays with a iced peach tea. The bibimbap and the glass noodles are both so good too!

I'm not one to write a bad review, however I feel this is necessary. My friend and I ordered the Miss Korea BBQ set and was immensely disappointed. It took 25 minutes to bring out uncooked food, no proper ventilation equipment, poor service, inappropriately small seating for barbecue and left the restaurant hungry. The rice was bland with no flavour, meats were unseasoned and the size serving did not feed 2 people. For some reason as well the waiter thought it would be a good idea to use a blowtorch to cook the food. Will not be coming here ever again.
Denny
Miss Korea Kitchen located along Burke Road in Camberwell, serves fresh, healthy and authentic Korean cuisine. They offer the typical Korean dishes such as Korean Fried Chicken, Bulgogi, Bibimbap, Korean BBQ with customers being able to choose their protein (e.g. chicken, beef, pork or veg) with many of their offerings.
Christinenhita
Loved that all the food came out all at once, the food was not bad. Service on the other hand wasn't great.. I was rushed to order, they didn't seem happy and it was a struggle to get their attention.
Michelle Flanagan
Pretty decent Korean food for the suburbs. I recommend the seafood pancake and Japchae. The restaurant is clean and not too loud. My one criticism is that I've been here twice and had to request water several times before it was brought to the table.
Kevin Jung Hak Yun
Went here for lunch over the weekend and it was very nice. We ordered the army stew with thinly sliced sausages and Bossam. Both dishes were really delicious. However, I wish Bossam had come with the bossam kimchi as it would compliment the slowly cooked pork belly. However, overall really nice and happy to go again but to try the BBQ
Mike O'Brien
Friendly service and a nice place, but the food was just ok. KFC (Korean) was crispy with some good sauces but not much chicken. The beef bobong was a recommended dish and was very good but the rice was a bit stodgy. The Kim chi and seafood pancake was very soggy and I feel like I have a block of raw dough in my stomach. Would go again but avoid the pancake. And I'm not sure that I like Kim chi...

To start with 'Miss Korea Kitchen' has a very contemporary and elegant decor to it, and gels in well with the elegant suburb.
They have got some good lunch menu from Monday - Fridays, and offers good value for money.
I ordered a stir-friend noodle and was absolutely satisfied with the flavours, freshness and authenticity of the dish. Love it..!!
Lilly Lloyd
Always good food, good service and good value. Good for quick and easy food and a nice atmosphere. Good for vegan options but also good if you're going with meat eater friends
Lynn.Law
This is a nice place to quash your Korean cravings, with deft and efficient service. I liked the collection of teaware suspended over the counter as well as the old-fashioned monochrome projections playing on the brick wall.
My mixed seafood bulgogi contained a good portion of fresh calamari, prawns and octopus, all tossed with vegetables in a sauce which begged to be mixed and devoured with the rice provided alongside. My companion deemed his pork bibimbap "alright, but too many veggies" and promptly ordered some KFC (for balance!). However, the chicken was disappointing, with small nuggets enveloped in a thick and gluggy batter. Although the menu promised a spicy sauce, the only dimension we detected was a slight sweetness - otherwise it lacked flavour. It actually reminded us of the honey chicken one orders at Chinese takeaway. Kimchi was complimentary.
Miss Korea is a good place if you are in the area, but I will stick to the many options available in the CBD.
AaronN
This place served up some really nice dishes. The korean fried chicken, japchae and bibimbap all had really great flavours, and were among the best of those dishes we've had in a while. The scotch fillet was the only disappointing dish (bit chewy, would recommend folks not get this one), but other than that pretty good.
Mel Dennis
Went here for my birthday dinner on a Monday night. We ordered a large variety of food including three different bibimbaps, multiple entrees, beef japchae, the salmon and mackerel sashimi, the kimchi seafood pancake, beef bulgogi, and some of their Korean fried chicken. All of the food was extremely good and very satisfying. It was as good as any Korean I've had before if not better. I will happily return.
Foodie AC
Very nice addition to the Burke Rd strip. Nice variety of fresh food, including the obligatory small BBQ plate. Old English movies screening on the wall is odd and out of place. Service is attentive and the space is nicely fitted out. Recommended.
The Girl With Blue Hair
Have been here a few times now and it's definitely one of our favourite Korean restaurants in Melbourne! The food, drinks, service and cleanliness are all of very high standards. There are lots of Korean restaurants that offer amazing food but service and cleanliness are often appalling. We ordered the Ox Tongue, Korean Fried Chicken Wings with Soy Garlic Sauce and Beef Bimbimbap. I'm usually not a fan of Ox Tongue because of its soft texture and fat. This Of Tongue is a must-try! The other must-have is the Korean Fried Chicken Wings. Have tried other Korean Fried Chicken but none of them is as good as this. The crumb is well seasoned and the chicken is still tender. Bimbimbap is good - love how they mixed it with nutritious black rice instead of just ordinary white rice. Will be back again definitely!
The Fo0die
We had an early dinner on a Saturday at 5:30pm at the small restaurant (tip: most of the street parking is free after 6pm so consider booking dinner around 6pm else some of our guests parked at Sophia's; we paid $1.40 for 30 mins of street parking).

We ordered dishes to share so this review is based on the dishes we shared; cannot comment on their BBQ sets.

- Korean vegetarian pancake; onion, capsicum, mushroom, zucchini and spring onions ($17)
- Korean fried chicken (KFC) combo; deep fried chicken tender and wings with spicy and original sauce served with salad and pickles ($39)
- Beef bibimbap; sautéed and seasoned spinach, bean sprouts, carrots and mushroom with a raw egg on top of rice ($16)
- Beef japchae; stir fried potato noodle sauteed with sesame oil and thinly sliced vegetables, beef and mushrooms ($17)
- Pork Bulgogi ($18)

Some notes on the dishes we had. The pancake wasn't the typical pancakes I've had at other Korean restaurants but more like a pizza. The KFC's batter wasn't the best I've had but was still tasty and evenly battered.

Serving sizes were decent as a main for a single person (with the exception of the KFC combo which served 6-7 of us nicely). While I enjoyed the food here, there wasn't anything that stood out as exceptional for the group of us.

Recommend:
- Beef japchae

Follow me on Instagram for more photos: @fo0die

Visited with a party of 6. Was excited to try it after looking at reviews but left utterly disappointed. The chicken bulgogi tasted like a terrible Chinese stir fry. Jap Chae average. Beef bibimbap below average. Also got a BBQ set which made all our clothes stink. No-one overly enjoyed the food. There are much better Korean restaurants in terms of both price and taste in Caulfield in my opinion. Service was also poor. We had to ask 3 times for our BBQ set and it was also hard to get anyone's attention. The waitresses seemed like they would rather be elsewhere. Was excited by the thought of Korean fusion which I think is a great concept but left disappointed and not full due to the small portions.
Mark
Came here specifically for the pork bossam but was a bit underwhelmed. The meal was redeemed by the fried chicken sampler which was really tasty. Staff were friendly and ambiance was nice though

Simply delicious ! What a pleasant date night , the service and ambience was spot on. Most importantly the food was amazing, loved the japchae, crispy rice cake beef bulgogi soup and those Korean fried chickens ! Reservation recommended .

Fresh and healthy Korean food! You leave feeling good, guilt free and completely satisfied! Was extremely impressed by the quality of ingredients especially considering the reasonable prices! It quickly became a favourite, coming back 3 times in two weeks! Staff have been lovely and pleasant on all occasions! Decor is clean and contemporary with a few extra quirks like the projector screen displaying classical films! Great cosy atmosphere without feeling cramped!
Lydia Wati
Very nice little dinner place, authentic Korean dishes and nice atmosphere. The dishes were served to make our appetites go up to the roof! Tried different dishes though it was only 2 of us! Definitely will come back to try out various other dishes!
Le_orange
Don't rate it. We spent $72 on the deluxe meat plate to bbq and most of the meat was tough. Scallop entree and salmon sashimi was lovely.
The place is poorly vented so you come out smelling of meat. Wine list was good and customer service was good. Would I return? Maybe for a quick lunch for something simple like a rice/meat dish.
Dot The Commer
Service here is not the best...been here twice and we always had to struggle to get the server's attention.
However, the food here is always well-presented and delicious. Their fried chicken is worth mentioning. Will come back again.
Chris Castro
Went in for lunch with my partner, only one dish came out. People who had clearly come in after us received their meals before me. I had to get back to work and ended up having to cancel my order after sitting there for 35 mins.

We weren't the only ones dissatisfied with our service as the table next to us complained about the inconsistent serving size. Poor Effort.
I give 1 Star as my partner said the Pork Bulgogi was good, but I'm pretty sure the noodles were spaghetti pasta. Unfortunately I can't comment on the food as I didn't have any. I left angry, dissatisfied and hungry. Got Sushi Sushi across the road instead.
Li-La
Had a quick dinner here with my little boy. I'm not too fussy when it comes to Korean food simply because I haven't tried that much of it yet but overall I really enjoyed this. Service was quick and friendly. Food was really tasty. The place is nothing fancy and it's really small but pretty cute. A Korean friend told me there are much better Korean restaurants in the CBD but that this was a reasonably good/authentic place and probably the best around this area. I thought it was perfectly satisfying and I will be back although I am also now curious to discover more Korean food elsewhere!
Amanda
Anyone looking for tasty Korean food backed up by excellent service this is the place to come. Easily the best Korean Restaurant in Melbourne and skills on the BBQ are top class. Do yourself a favour and get around Miss Korea Kitchen!
Cathy
Poor Service Poor Food

Been here twice, first time the service wasn't good, we thought could be an accident.
However, after few months we been here again, the service STILL TOO BAD!!!

Very disappointed.

Delicate, delicious food and a very graceful service. A beautiful experience, and plenty of options for carnivores and for vegetarians / vegans. Don't go away without trying the mock meat bolgogi!

Went to this Korean place out on a whim with my boyfriend. We weren't sure what to expect, just hoping for some decent vegetarian dishes. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival as this was not the usual Korean restaurant you go to. It was open, clean, minimal decor (contemporary?) and bright. (Most other Korean eateries are dark, cold, tight, cramped and very noisy) I've been to many Korean places that don't cater for vegetarians, which I do understand, but it's nice that they do career for, and they understand the needs of their customers. It was great knowing they have vegetarian options, and even better that they had vegetarian mock meat! We were both really surprised and had to try the rice cake soup with mock meat and I had the mock meat bibimbap. The soup was thick, like a stew and had a soy/chilli flavor to it. The bibimbap, is kind of like your average bibimbap you get, but I was really excited for the mock meat and I was given sauces on the side to choose my level of spiciness. The food was just enough for the two of us, we left feeling satisfied and glad to find this Korean place that isn't too far from home.
Hikat
Food were alright. The chicken can be much better. The sashimi was fresh.
I love that they have black rice.

The service however wasn't good enough. I wait for so long to see if they will ever ask me for water, until i decided to ask for it myself. They never refill our water until we put our hands up. I do notice that they only 2 people so they might not have enough hands, but night isn't full and they should always make sure everyone is alright.
I just went there to have dinner with my family. Their customer service is great. Probably the best restaurant around. They recommended us good korean food , Oh, and they even provided us with some drinks each smile ill be sure to go there again.

Been to a lot of Korean places in Melbs but this one wins every time! The bbq wagyu beef is unbelievable as are the gyoza, the fried chicken, the blow torch sashimi and everything else we had. I here the chef is ex Nobi, that may give you some idea these guys know wt they're doing. Go there before the crowds find out about it!

Very poor service recently on a Friday night. A group of six of us waited for any acknowledgement, not to mention glasses for our wine, no offer of ice buckets, it was a very humid night and we had to ask three or four times for the fans and/or air con to be put on. We had to call someone over to take our order. The food was yummy, but service was appalling. Will not go back.

Group of six out to celebrate birthdays.
Food was lovely very fresh and well presented.
Service was appalling waited 15mins after arrival and still no glasses for wine until we asked then bottle left on table to go warm.
It was a very hot humid night and no fans or air conditioning turned on until we asked repeatedly.
No water on tables until we asked three times.
No offer of desserts. No one came near us all night to see if everything was ok or if we wanted/needed anything else. Very poor service felt like a self serve restaurant.
Don't think we'd bother to go back food isn't everything.
The potato-noodle dish was ruined as it was swimming in sugary sweet soy sauce, even though the menu advertised it as a "light sesame oil." Could hardly eat it. As for the stone bowl Bibimbap, it wasn't even steaming. Food was a disappointment. If you want excellent authentic Korean for half the price, try Oishi in Windsor. Miss Korea, fittingly in an upper-class taste-blind neighborhood like Camberwell, just might be Korea's very own Mickey D's. Enough said.

My girlfriend recommenced we go to Miss Korea for dinner last night, and I was not disappointed. As I had never really had Korean food before, I loved how fresh and clean majority of the food is.The menu was quiet extensive, which would cater to everyone. We had a vegetarian dish as well as a beef dish and of course a serving of the KFC. Loved all of it, and was extremely full after.Cannot wait to return!

Our favourite Korean and has not ever disappointed. Broad menu, but it's hard to beat the bimbimbap. Rapid and efficient service, well priced (especially the lunch specials) and edgy decor. Great spot for a quick bite or a long night with friends.

I really liked Miss Korea. Great decor, delicious food. Quite a few good vegetarian options too. Not as heavy as other asian cuisines can be. Will be coming back to try out more of the menu!

The lunch menu is quite good, I would avoid the soup noodles and go for the rice variety - is a cheap and tasty lunch if you need something quick.
There is not a huge variety of food, but we all know that about 99% of people going for Korean food end up eating bulgogi in some form.

Do: the scorched assortment of fish. They sear at the table, quite the scene.

Don't: everything else was just ok.

Tip: great selection of beers

Just returned from dinner there. Disappointed at the service. We used to have dinner here quite often. Although the food and flavor remain the same the service has declined significantly. Firstly when I called after 5 pm to make a booking the phone was answered and hung up twice before I finally got through. Now, service during dinner. The make waiter who we've seen there before (Perhaps he's the owner), was cooking the wagyu and vegetable on the table. He dropped a piece of mushroom on the table. Without offering to replace it OR clean it up when he finished cooking, he just left it on the table where it fell. Additionally, I do not expect over the top service or even a smile, but this waiters surly expression made the experience unpleasant. There is a definite drop in service standard particularly by this waiter. If he's not happy serving customers then he should find another career path. Will not be returning.
Hello World!
Just been to the restaurant recently, dish varieties were heavily reduced and increased some fancy options. All my favourite dishes were gone. Pricing seems increased as the potion is smaller than last year’s menu. Dishes tasted average and not as outstanding as last year. The restaurant was very quiet, people were walking pass and looked at the menu and turned away straight away. It’s a pity to see another good restaurant fell in the camberwell region.

Yesterday went there for my first time and I really surprised it. Food was delicious especially the pork ssäm. Food fresh, good presentation, food coming very fast, friendly staff. For sure I wanna come back soon!

Well we must have come on an off night; as the service and food was below par compared to the other reviews.
I have been here before and the food very good. But came here on Sunday night with my wife, what a mistake!
Firstly the KFC entree we ordered was forgotten, followed by confusion about which order we were going to eat the rest of the meal. We decided to eat one of the main meals first so it didn't sit around getting cold, or worse, reheated. The fried chicken was rubbery. The main courses were all served with the same vegetables and salad; no help offered in ordering. So the beans and pork meal was the same as the prawns and vegetable one, what the? Then when it came time to pay they said they didn't take Amex. We were only here because of the Amex Shop Small promotion; they eventually said they would accept it this time, but not next time. There WILL NOT be a next time! The manager needs to understand basic customer service; Amex are doing a promotion to get customers into his store then he and his staff ruin it.

Been here twice now and had a great meal both times. The food is fresh and well prepared and presented. The seafood and kimchi pancake and either of the Wagyu beef steak options are both excellent. The scallop salad is also quite unique and delicious.

Mixed feelings about this Miss Korea.

Took a minute or two for the waitresses to acknowledge I was standing at the door. Wtf. I'm fat, I ain't hard to miss.

Anyways, I gave her a chance and ended up loving the presentation and the taste of the food.
The pork belly wraps were spot on. Stuffed my face to the point where I have a bigger belly now!

But.... I was bummed out about the side dishes. Other Korean restaurants offer a variety of free side dishes but Miss Korea is cheap. She ain't a real Korean!

Had better kimchi too.

Enjoy bitches!

Good quality food, love the fried chicken and beer combo. Had the bibimbap, which had fresh ingredients. Will be back again. Definitely a must try when in Camberwell.

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 - We had the fried chicken mix, the kimchi and seafood pancake, the beef bulgogi, and the beef japchae. Wasn't a massive fan of the seafood pancake but everything else was good. I really enjoyed the beef japchae though! The service was great; friendly and attentive staff. And the atmosphere was very pleasant. On a side note, I would probably advise against putting glowsticks in the cocktails though because it could be hazardous if they leak... Just a thought. Overall, good food, good service and will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu!

Very nice Korean food in the heart of Camberwell. The main menu is varied, well presented and very delicious. Staff are incredibly friendly and service is fast. It is a pity however, that they do not use real Korean BBQs, rather a gas hotplate, which takes away from the interest of visiting a Korean restaurant. Still, very nice food and a regular customer.

Prices are great!
Food is great!
Service is great!

Came into for dinner and even though they were fully booked out, they were very accommodating without any fuss.
My Criminal Partner And I
My experience here was great. The food came timely, at reasonable portions, prices and above average quality. It's not a cheap eat, yet it's definitely not a fine dine price, it hits the middle ground very well whilst the price leans towards the cheaper side. All the while, the staff were very polite and weren't in your face nor out of the show. With the quality of my beef bibimap, which I could tell had attention put to it. I can recommend this restaurant if your on a student budget but tired of sloppy cheap eats but don't want to burn a hole in your wallet. Conversely it's also good if you've got money to spend and looking for higher quality but still maintaining a good quality - price ratio.

Super friendly staff! The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The bibimbap is always a favourite! Good to see a quality restaurant in Camberwell

Good Food, Good Staff, Very Dumb Manager! We were attracted to this little eatery by the clean, stylish fit out and the Korean BBQ. The staff were very helpful and explained the food options very well which we enjoyed. Wine list very limited. Came time to pay the bill $182 for two couples very reasonable. Put down 2 Visa cards with instructions to put $100 on each to be told no split bills, very inconvenient. Told this was manger's instructions. Paid bill on 1 card $182. Does not make sense!
