Review Trinitas Thai - Camberwell

Angie Bee
This is somewhere I've always wanted to revisit. My first time here was years and years ago, and somehow just had my sights set on revisiting last night. I don't think the decor or anything has changed since that first visit, as it was stuck somewhere between the 70s-90s. With that said, the service was reasonably good. There were only a few people in the restaurant at the time we got there, yet somehow, all tables got their meals out of order. The people ordering their meals just a half minute before us, got their entree 15 minutes before ours came out, but we got our mains before them. The food was quite good. I had the curry puffs and the chicken fried rice and all of mine was tasty. My friends both said their sauces were quite salty, and apparently the cashews were soft and mushy. The other hiccup was nicely resolved though - whereby two soft drinks were definitely out of date, so the lady offered to take them back and gave them a bottle of sparkling water at no charge. It's a very nice casual meal here. I think with so many other choices in Melbourne, there's no need to rush back again, but if anyone in the area asked me where I'd suggest they eat, I'd definitely recommend it.

Great Thai restaurant in Camberwell. Must be a local favourite as the place was busy. Tasty selection of Thai dishes. Loved the prawns. Desserts were delicious. Staff were helpful and pleasant. BYO wine was also a bonus.

Food are nice and tasty. Big portion and good service.

Really disappointing- lost it's charm. Trinitas used to offer a combination of traditional, fusion and modern Thai food. It was fresh, tasty and interesting. Not any more. Meal tonight was uninspiring the most mediocre of Thai food. BQQ pork and vegetables was stir fried low quality pork. The chicken and cashew stir fry used a battered chicken and tasted similar to the pork dish. Decor has been updated and was bright in an unattractive way. Food was overpriced and we were charged $2 for takeaway containers without being advised. Service was just OK. I'd be surprised if the chef had any real experience in cooking Thai food. Trinitas used to be a great place for Thai food. Now there are much better options.

If I could give no stars, I would. As per the review below, Trinitas Thai used to offer great meals. Spicy, authentic, flavoursome food. However, my take away last Friday night was NONE of those. The tom yum soup was completely flavourless, the "salad" to accompany my fish was nothing but onions and the beef was simple Chinese flavours. It was no where near Thai food and actually I couldn't place it in any cuisine to be honest. I spent $75 and threw most of the food out. I hate to be so scathing, but people need to be aware so they don't waste their money like I did.

Trinitas used to be best quality Thai restaurant in the area with prices to match. Got take away recently (in covid) and it appeared to have changed hands and the food was the poorest quality I have had in a long time. Tasteless and not the complex flavours I was expecting from the past. Prices still seem high and don't match the quality of the food.

This place used to have great food. Punchy spice packed with flavour. Now it’s some of the worst Thai food I have had. Really unfortunate to see what was once a great restaurant lower it’s colours so dramatically.
Michael Andrew
This place was a favourite of ours however, it looks as though they have recently had a change of ownership. Bitterly disappointed with the new restaurant. The staff were nice, however the food is nothing like it used to be. If only we could find where the old chefs have gone, we would happily drive hours to eat and enjoy. Waiting over one hour for a standard lunch meal isnt the best way to keep your customers.
Annette Lawrie
The food quality has dropped markedly since my last visit to the point where the dishes we had were hardly recognisable as Thai food. The seafood stir fry was bland, squid was leathery and fish overcooked. The spicy lamb was better but just chilli rather than spicy. My boys liked the pad Thai. We understand it’s only takeaway at the moment but when you try to support local business you still expect the quality to be there.

My partner and I checked out Trinitas Thai, one of the few Thai places in our area that we had not visited. The spring rolls were crisp and were accompanied by a delectable sweet sauce. The curry puffs had a perfect pastry, elevating some pretty so-so filling. Nothing in particular stood out about the green curry - clean and traditional. Kudos for the serving size - just the right amount for two hungry people.

This used to be my favourite Thai in camberwell, not anymore. We went on a Saturday night and booked a table for 4. The waitress took us to a table only for three and asked us to squeeze in, but it’s impossible to squeeze in. Regardless we sat squashed, not a good start to the night. We ordered the scallop salad. The scallop was small, cold, and very over cooked. The imperial fish was not crispy, and the lamb Massaman was...I don’t even know what it is. The waitress is inexperienced and looked like she didn’t want to be there, taking away food that we haven’t finished. Looks like the owner has been changed and new management doesn’t care about the food anymore. Will sadly never go back and time to look for an alternative.
Tim Wang
The owners must have changed recently as our experience last night was woeful. We booked in advance for 4 and they tried to squeeze us into a 3 seat table because they gave the 4th seat to the next table. We ordered scallops for entree and it was cold, dry and tasted like canned scallops. The dish costed $17 for 4 and for that we expected much more. The curry lamb was dry, over cooked and in very small portion for a $27 dish. Won’t be returning again.

I really enjoyed this Thai, it was much better than I was expecting. The chicken larb was very flavourful and the curry we got had a good balance between creamy and spice. I can see why this place got so busy while we were there, definitely one of the best Thai I’ve tried in the Eastern suburbs.
TammyC
So so disappointed tonight, after coming here for years. We were a large group. Everything took too long - ordering, gaps between the meals coming out, tending to our needs. Reading recent reviews it seems to be a case of “new management.” Not good enough.
Kenneth
Extremely poor service<br/>1/2 hr before even attending to table, 1/2 to then get them to take entree order 30 mins to get entree then took main order, when mains came some time later, the first one was delivered, waited at least 10 mins when we told that person to eat, he had well and truely finished his meal before the next main was served, it took at least 30 mins for the mains to be served, definitely do not recommend this restaurant
Warren Passingham
Have been coming here for many years as it was a favourite and food and service has been fantastic however very disappointed on Sat night as the food was not good only to be told it has changed hands now owned by a group and also were slugged with a credit card surcharge-Not happy!
Lobang King
I believe there’s a change in management. Used to be managed by Thai people and now have taken over by the Chinese. Ordered a Thai chicken fried rice but found there isn’t any chicken meat inside.

An exceptional menu and a hidden gem within the multitude of Camberwell restaurants! The food and flavours supersede the reviews and ratings for this restaurant. A modern layout with culturally appropriate chairs and decor adorn the interior of the restaurant, with candles on the tables lighting just the perfect atmosphere. Absolutely adored their flavorsome curries, with the roti also meeting my expectations; soft, buttery and just flaky enough. Will definitely be returning again!
Pete
Close to the best beef massaman ever!  Love the byo and restaurant has a nice ambiance about it.  A little more expensive than your standard Thai but good for a special occasion.

Found this restaurant just around the corner so decided to try out tonight. It's a small place and quite dark inside. I can hardly read menu. (I would suggest them to improve it) Ordered Tom yum goong soup for entree and it was very spicy and sour. Suitable for me but my friend kept sweating after had a taste of it. He ordered chicken puff which is a bit ordinary. For main, we ordered curry duck which was recommended online. Curry is creamy but not strong or spicy enough. Great with roti. We also ordered fish in the photo which I won't recommend. I think the waitress who in charge of our table is bit green. First forgot our beer, then bring to us, pour into glass without asking (which is ok). However she poured beer too quick so the beer foam made mess on the table. She took away the rest of bottle, left mess on the table, then went to order other tables. Not very impressed. Everything is fine.
Jean
Very tiny servings for the price I guess they have to pay more for a good Burke Street location.  Bangkok Terrace down the road is much better in taste and value.

I'm a big fan of Thai food and the aromas that come out of the Trinitas Thai kitchen definitely satisfies my hunger! Service is always good here and their fish is amazing!
La Ola Es Mia Cocina.
Outstanding food, service and ambiance !<br/>Our group of 6 throughly enjoyed the night and the food immensely.<br/><br/>We will definitely be returning in good spirits as we are grateful for the night out in a lovely and traditional Thai restaurant.
Veg&TwoMeat
Reviews from my fellow diners were generally positive and ambience was great however it should be made clear that Trinitas has absolutely zero capacity to serve vegetarian/vegan food- the only main they could make was pad thai (which I am quite certain still had fish sauce despite being told it did not). I suggest the 'Vegetarian Friendly' tag be removed as a service to future diners.<br/>-Veg

Thoroughly enjoyable night at the cosy Trinitas.<br/><br/>Pros:<br/>- Fast and friendly service.<br/>- BYO and a good selection of wines.<br/>- Standout dishes: Thai Imperial Fish and Triple Salad!<br/><br/>Cons:<br/>- none.<br/><br/>Will definitely be back!<br/>

Been here at least 5 times and never fails. Went last night on a voucher for a banquet for 4 people. Was hesitant at first as I'm not a huge fan of banquet vouchers but omg! Best Thai I've had.<br/>Great place with really fresh, beautiful food
William
Two of us had lunch here, restaurant picked based on ratings mostly. The food was really nice. We had entree and main, shared. Three beers each. We paid $75 for that. Really good value I thought.

We bought a living social voucher for 2 people to use at Trinitas Thai. The fine print of the voucher mentioned that any additional diners would need to order at least 1 item from the full price menu. We have 2 young children and were OK with that clause as we normally order them a fried rice or roti anyway. When I rang to make our booking I mentioned that we have 2 young children and wanted to confirm which additional menu items I could order from. I was told that if I bring children I had 2 options - order from the full priced menu for them and could not share any of our meals with them or buy a voucher for 4 people. The first option is awful because we then are not allowed to share even one part of our meals with them (even though they also asked us to order something full price). The 2nd option is worse because they are young children and won't be able to eat a 7 course set menu each. I assume restaurants promote themselves on sites like living social because they want to bring in new clientele to show off their food and service and get them as repeat customers. To have this kind of attitude for people trying to book a deal like this is the worst and something I have never seen before from a restaurant promoting themselves like this. It's a shame, because if the food and service was good, we would have gone back multiple times paying full price and would have spread the word. Instead, we will never go there, will tell our friends and family never to go there and will spread the word through review sites like this.
Jas
I really enjoyed the signature fish main and the roti bread is fantastic. Not so sure about the fish cakes although they are still very flavoursome (just a bit spongy). Friendly staff and nice atmosphere made for a great evening
ToMaZo
Relatively good food, not so good service. I've had similar experiences at other Thai restaurants where half of the staff doesn't seem to speak a word of English. It's very frustrating when asking something and receiving an answer which is totally unrelated due to a clear language barrier, which happened multiple times throughout the sitting. For starter my wife and I shared the curry puffs and vegetarian spring rolls which were ok. For main I ordered the massaman beef curry along with coconut rice, which was of excellent quality. Unfortunately my wife's Penang chicken curry was served cold and thus was not enjoyed. Overall an average experience.
Foodie AC
A lot of hype for pedestrian fare. Had the much-lauded three kings which was nothing to write home about. Food could use a little more heat. Setting is certainly fancier than your usual Thai.
Lee Yin Ling
The pad mango was the first thing on the menu that attracted my attention, so that was what we ordered. The combination of sweet mango and pears with curry and prawns is amazing. The berry rice is fragrant and fulfilling. The vegetables and tofu have a fresh crunch to them. Kind, attentive waiters.
Jinn Kan
Not usually a thai food kinda guy, but went with the fam bam to eat there as a farewell dinner.<br/><br/>Food was surprisingly packed full of flavour, though I found the portions slightly small. Staff were kind, but did get our last roti order a bit confused which delayed our staying even though we had to leave for another scheduled group.<br/><br/>Pictures didnt get enough light but the fried fish was amazing, the beef was fairly standard, but the other curries had good flavour.<br/><br/>Would come back to try the rest of the menu.

A reminder to this family of four of how delicious Thai food should be. We were a late booking but kindly given an early times lot. The Imperial Thai Fish was a fav along with the BBQ pork and sticky rice. Also enjoyed Massaman curry, HOney Pork neck and two serves of Roti (1 is never enough to!) It was very busy which comes with it's issues (noisy and cramped) but the delicious food and attentive service more than made up for it. One small thing .... My old eyes need more light than one little tea light and a few candles around the room can emit - I need to use my iPhone torch to read the menu and the bill!
Harmony
This would be one of my favourite Thai restaurants. Loved the ambience atmosphere and their attentive service. Moreover, the food does not only looks good but tastes great. Highly recommended this place!!
S Melbourne
My absolute favourite Thai restaurant in Melbourne. Chicken cashew nut is the absolute winner dish. High quality produce used for every dish. Have referred so many of my friends and family to this restaurant all who agree with me that it's the best Thai they've had. All of the staff are such beautiful people which makes the experience that whole lot better.
Mike O'Brien
Always busy but nice atmosphere. I found the meals we had all seemed a bit too sweet but will try something different next time. Service was fine.
Aparna Attawar
Wonderful food, had the beef basil, three kings (battered calamari, prawns, fish), pad mango and coconut rice. Service and ambience was lovely too. Definitely recommending!
BBB
Good in this place is amazing especially recommend the imperial fish. <br/>Service is excellent as I ordered pad Thai didn't know there are eggs and they cook a new one for me again as my son got allergy, which they don't have it as I didn't say no eggs.

Came here for dinner and the food was amazing!! This place is fantastic! The staff and service were great as well!! I will be coming back!!!
Stu
Came here on Friday night and it was very busy which is a good sign. The food was really nice and there is a very large menu so you should be able to find something you'll like.
Li-La
If you go Trinitas, eat in!! Their take away food is pretty average but their dine in menu is different and it's delicious and creative! It's different to the usual Thai menu although they have a few of the traditional curry options. If you go there, be a bit adventurous and have something you've never tried - you won't be disappointed! Atmosphere is quite nice & warm, and staff are not particularly friendly but ok. It's often busy so I recommend booking.

It's been five years since I was last at Trinitas. Nothing much has really changed, except the prices. $27-30 for a main course is starting to push into fine food territory. BYO offsets the prices somewhat.<br/> Otherwise, the menu is pretty much the same, and the restaurant is still doing good business.<br/>I always reckon a Thai restaurant can be judged by its Fish Cakes. I have made a lot of them at home in my time, and they are composed of a lot of ingredients and complex flavours.<br/><br/>We went with a chef friend of mine, and we ordered the Fish Cakes as part of a shared entree. His first observation when placed on the table was "bought in"<br/>They were perfectly shaped cylinders of even thickness. They were quite bland as well. <br/>We asked a waiter if they were made on premises and he said they were not. Bummer! <br/>The other entrees did not excite us either. The chicken curry puffs were nice and flaky, but quite oily and lacking in flavour. The spring rolls tasted like, well, spring rolls.<br/><br/>Happily, the mains stepped it up. Pick of the night was a slow braised pork neck in honey and spices. We also had three curries, and a "3 Kings" dish which was a seafood number.<br/><br/>Chef mate commented that the pork was beautifully cooked, however the sauce was a bit thin and not the flavoursome punch a long braise should produce.<br/>The lamb curry sauce was outstanding. Put that with the pork and that would be a winner.<br/>Skip the entrees and go for the mains, and you'll enjoy some pretty good food
Rachel Jade
The lunch menu is absolutely awesome - great value and delicious food!<br/>I am a huge fan of Thai food, and this restaurant absolutely nails it! It can definitely get crowded at lunch due to the office staff nearby, but if you get in early, it is a great meal.
Mistermister
Very average Thai food. I suspect it is because we got take away. The Red duck curry only had 4 pieces of duck in a watery broth. Pad thai is usually our measurement of good Thai food. The pad thai was so bland. It lacked saltiness, sweetness and any flavour. The coconut rice was nice though. But not nice enough to try this again. Sorry, we really wanted to find a new local that was tasty.
Simon061271
Great local Thai Restuarant. Definitely recommend dining in to get the full menu with the three themes, with some creative items on the menu.
Alexandra Rowan
Great Thai restaurant. Had a meal for 4 for a little over $150 , which is pretty reasonable for two entree, three mains and two desserts. Highly recommend the duck curry
Garry Mann
Great Thai food. The service was good ant attentive with the staff knowing the menu which is not always the cSe in many restaurants. I highly recommend Trinitas Thai from my first visit and plan to return soon.
Delightfullytasty
Trinitas Thai restaurant prides itself on traditional, contemporary and fusion thai dishes that are authentic and diverse. The restaurant has an air of sophistication to it, with mood lighting and jazz music playing softly in the background. There are simple photos on one wall of ingredients, and a large mirror on one side. Staff are friendly and helpful, recommending certain dishes and making sure our water glasses were never empty.
Bargirl
Best Thai in the area. Beautiful flavours and just the right level of spice. They also have a decent wine list with good aromatic whites to suit the food.
Kate B
Really really good Thai food. Have been here a number of times and the food is consistently good, good service too. The curries there are great, and I'm not a meat-eater but the Pork Neck is quite popular with my family. Definitely would recommend.
Victor
Solid choice. Had dinner with a party of 8. Service is friendly but a little inattentive, especially if you're upstairs. Food is solid, especially the fish-based dishes. The massaman and the chicken curry was nothing special though. Prices represent decent value for money if you have a large group.
Rt
The best Thai around. We love this place because it's not oily currys like some Thai restaurants, and the food is consistently good. We eat in and takeaway. Never had a problem with the service although it's usually more attentive downstairs so if you are too impatient to wait a minute for someone to tend to you (like half the reviewers on urbanspoon seem to be these days), request to sit downstairs!
Food-in-Melbourne
Having said that, the food was by far the most creative and extremely delicious!
The Portly Pumpkim
Its menu is very unique; being divided into three sections of Traditional, Contemporary and Fusion, each category having both entrees and mains beneath it. Our dishes were chosen from the Traditional and Contemporary menus, but all of the dishes across the board were appealing.
Minda Barley
The tom yam was clean and clear tasting without the powdery, murky residue of a paste mix. It tasted like it was clear chicken broth flavoured with chilli, lemon juice, lemon grass, galangal and coriander - pure ingredients making it a pure tom yam.

When is a suburban Thai restaurant not just a suburban thai restaurant? When it's Trinitas Thai, a smallish and crowded two-story venue on the top of Camberwell hill which is serving dishes nicely above the suburban standard. Don't get me wrong, we're not talking about the cutting edge of Australian/Thai cuisine of Longrain or Pearl, we're getting some somewhat brushed-up Thai dishes at a much more reasonable price than the places above. Let's see how it goes. Trinitas Thai has been open about three years now. It replaced, if I recall correctly, a wine bar with literary pretensions called "Prost". That heritage can be seen in a dark and rather European fit-out, now gussied up with some Thai brightness, but that's where it ends. This is our fourth visit to Trinitas over the years and may I say we could never be bothered going to "Prost". It's at the very top end of the Burke Rd shopping strip, up near the funeral home. Which is not an omen at all. Trinitas presents its menu in three sec
Moving
Trinitas Thai is one of the those in-between restaurants that seems to have perfected the balancing act - not too casual, but not too formal. Basically, the perfect place to catch up with a few friends over a few glasses of wine
Shona Hunt
Great food but poor service waiters barely came to our table
Khinde
Great for a double date. Had a great double date here. Even sent a photo to my friends and they got really jealous. I was glad I didn't invite them all though. Would have been awkward
Vanessa Crivelli
Terrific Thai. Excellent service, excellent meal. Well Done!
Patrick Malcolm
Scratchy at best. Entrees were very good. Main meals, food court standard. Did go for lunch. Service a bit scattered.

Dinner - what is the fuss about?. Our group of 8 went for dinner recently to this recommended eatery. I asked for recommendations from the waitress to share amongs us. She just went on to point out the list of entres .. saying " .... it is all here... just pick...." I asked again,... same reply so in the end we all picked enough to share.... waiting staff should do well to speak fluently enough to understand basic requets from patrons. There were two waitresses on this night. One looking bored the whole night and we had to beckon her over to fill up our tea. Unbelievable!<br/>Should not have paid a tip ... Their English was just. But around 10pm there were just two big tables... a waitress came up to our table, slap her hand down onto our table and said "... we are now closed, please go....." We were so shocked we laughed.... did we really got kicked out? The other table's patrons were also surprised. It would have been courteous to forewarn us of their closing time rather than to tell us to go.<br/><br/>Not worth going.... and Not returning there are other Thai eateries much much better.

Everything is so yummy espeially Coconut chicken soup. The staff are well trained and I feel comfortable. <br/>To me there is no hesitate to recommend to the others.

Been there a few time, never get disappointed. The foods're perfect, especially honey pork neck. Exceptional services, great atmosphere. love the place!

Best Thai in Camberwell.. Been here that many times and I have never been disappointed. the food the service are awesome. oh the special rice paper wraps are to die for.
Andrewc020
Nothing special. Overrated. Clearly not the 90% it has been so generously provided. Service and food were average, the same food can be found at your average Thai takeaway for half the price. This place has taken advantage of the area it has found itself in and the pockets of those who live there. Not only that but the waitress had the nerve to flat out ask to be tipped at the end. Won't be going back.
Super8
Favourite Thai in Melb!. Always love the food at Trinitas... the Three Kings dish is to die for! Does get a little noisy but the food is so tasty you don't care!
Deanricho_1999
Festivus - Oh yes I like it !. Been here four times now and every time its awesome!<br/>Food so fresh and staff so helpful and friendly<br/>Has great feel to the place and worth a little extra<br/>Thanks guys

Food was great . Beautiful prawns and calamari on the entree and think that was the best coconut rice I have ever had.... But ordered the house Pinot noir and got very acidic wine... Guess must have been for a bottle that's been open days

New Favourite. Went to Trinitas having never tried Thai food before and came away pleasantly surprised. Our table was ready right away and we were greeted with smiles and a friendly atmosphere the moment we walked in the door. The decor was very modern but at the same time was inviting as well, with a really warm ambiance. We ordered the honey pork neck(recommended from the servers) and the spicy lamb. Our food was delivered quickly and exceeded all expectations (especially the honey pork), and was amazingly tender. The servers were attentive, not intrusive asking us if we needed anything and whether we were enjoying our meal. Needless to say we did. Will recommend

Award winning garbage. I took my mother out for dinner on Sunday (Mother's Day) and chose Trinitas because it was pricey and therefore I expected a half-decent meal - I was wrong. We were seated immediately and our main meals arrived within two minutes of us walking in the door: can somebody say "microwaved"? My appetiser had arrived with no knife, and as I couldn't attract one of the many waiters' attention, I was forced to cut it with a spoon. I wish my yellow curry seafood had arrived with no cutlery as it was revolting. I guess when the menu doesn't specify what the "seafood" is, you have cause to be suspicious, but at $30 I thought I was in safe hands - wrong! Whatever the "fish" was, it was the cheapest cut of the most gooey, gluey creatures found in the sea. And the vegetables were uncooked. I could only take four bites of it and had to order a serving of bland rice to wash those bites down with. To make matters worse, this restaurant is small and pokey and attracts a lower-middle class clientele who act and think that they're upper-class. The family seated next to us were vile. When the waitress noticed I had hardly touched my meal, she asked why, but wasn't concerned with my reply - nor did she offer to remove the meal from the bill. A thoroughly unenjoyable evening.
Lesley_gray7
Rude. We happily accepted a 6:30 booking with an understanding that we needed to be out by 8.From the moment we arrived the staff were disgustingly rude and pushy to us. We were out well within the time but they still were on top of us clearing things and giving us horrible attitudes. <br/><br/>As for the food, The massaman was delicious but all our other meals were average. Not worth returning for us, even with a more appropriate booking time. I'm beginning to think all highly rated restaurants in Camberwell just have expensive food and fancy decor but the ratings are not based on the atmosphere and food.
SJ
Best Thai in Melbourne. I've been lucky enough to have been going to Trinitas since it opened. They never falter on service, flavour or value and it's literally the only thai restaurant that I recommend to friends and family. Their 3-sectioned menu is so well thought through and contains a great combination of traditional/well-known dishes and innovative combinations that are always successful! Huge fan of the massaman. Can't eat any other massaman now!
Justzed
Great. Pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. Lunchtime serves generous and authentic flavours. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu.
Moburnelovely
Food for thoughts. I loved the menu of this restaurant. One of the most inventive menus. However, most dishes are a little too sweet (and oily) for me. Also, almost all dishes come with coconut flakes for no reason!. It used to be better than this so I would like to send this message to the management of my favourite restaurant.
Maria Papa
Ok but not great. After reading all the positive reviews, I went with high expectations. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed. Went for lunch and had Tom Yum soup Prawn green curry. Meals were ok but I just expected so much more. The price is good for lunch, however the dinner menu a little expensive. Although there were some gluten free options, I was expecting more variety. I would prefer the Thai restaurants in Ivanhoe rather than this one.
Yumyum
NOT CHILD FRIENDLY. If you have small children that need a high chair (they dont have any) or space for a pram - YOU ARE NOT WELCOME AT TRINITAS. just tried to book for 4 plus a pram and was told that it was not possible with a pram as it is too small. no big drama, but to parents out there with small kids you will want to avoid this place
Allyoucaneat
After dinning at this establishment I realise one's perception is their reality because unlike the glowing reports other people have posted about this place, I found the food bellow par and overpriced. Sometimes it is prudent not to take urban spoon reviews as accurate representations of certain restaurants. The duck red curry was very disappointing I had to dig deep to find the duck and when I did it was very chewy....the stir fry veggies were very overdone and mushy! The house special was ok....
Lily
A good mix of traditional and modern Thai dishes. There are a lot of Thai restaurants in the area but trinitas Thai is the best!
Somchai Palee
Came back again. This time tried this sensational special crispy rice crackers. It was so tasty. Highly recommended. 10 out of 10.

Great food, good service. T.... Great food, good service.<br/>The rice paper rolls were.espwcially delicious. Unforunately, like many other Asian restautants, the amount of MSG in their food would be better decreased. My mouth was so dry by the time I got home!

Excellent food

FAVOURITE THAI PLACE. Came here a while back for dinner and the imperial fish was AMAZING. And so was the curry we had. Dessert we got the sticky rice which was not nice. Maybe i was just unfamiliar with thai dessert but luke warm sticky rice is a no no for me. <br/><br/>still my favourite thai restaurant however ! would highly recommend!

Love this place!

A favourite!. Delicious food, beautifully presented, friendly staff, nice environment. The tempura battered fish is one of our favourites! We have taken many guests there and they all rave about it!
TN
We went there because of high vote on urbanspoon. It was disappointed. Expensive for avarage foods. I dont recommend the contemporary menu, we got bad seafood salad. The original menu isnt better.
Vlatto
Nothing spectacular. After checking our the reviews on UrbanSpoon we decided to give Trinitas Thai a go. While the food was tasty, it was nothing spectacular (heaps of other Thai places in Melbourne have the same quality food if not better), but the customer service wasn't the best - too cold and rushing.

Excellent. Nice place, lovely food, good service...really enjoy having dinner there.will be returning.

Just Wonderful. Every time: delicious food, courteous service, can't recommend enough!

Buzzy cute & good service AND the food is very good ... Trinitas Prawns was the best dish we had tonight.

Doctormack. By far the best Thai eatery I have been to in melbourne, fantastic, friendly service, food fresh and tasty.Try the cashew chicken as well as the red curry prawns, beautiful and not too expensive.<br/>I go back there at least once a month.

Best Thai fusion food ever.

A rushed, but excellent meal. Service attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely the best Thai in Camberwell.
Jesse
Absolutely brilliant. Great quality food, served in good time and great customer service. Cool set up and a nice atmosphere.

Love it! Some of the best Thai food I've ever had.
Lucylu
Great place that deserves its high rating on urbanspoon. Delicious food. I can't say I know authentic Thai food but the food here tasted different from standard Thai fair I'm used to. Decor is modern and cosy. Very nice and warm waitress and owner to compliment the entire wonderful experience Cheap lunch menu too

The only place for Thai.. This is the only place I know of where the dishes are authentic thai. <br/><br/>Coming back from Thailand only gave me an additional appreciation for the unique blend of flavours and aroma's found in Thai cuisine. The only bad thing was finding a place which "hit the nail on the head".<br/><br/>Trinita's is exceptional. I am quite the regular with a friend of mine and the staff and owners are beyond friendly and hospitable.<br/><br/>Trinita's surpasses all other Thai restaurants in the area. The only negative is that they do not deliver, but then, why wouldn't you want to enjoy this incredible food inside their beautiful and ambient restaurant. <br/><br/>Book ahead, They are busy most nights!

Overrated. The food is average, not authentic Thai food.

Fun and food. With a group of friends had another great night. Busy but owners always there to make sure the night goes well. Wonderful food and atmosphere, our favourite.

Great Thai - don't expect a bargain though. The food here was absolutely delightful. Each meal was delicious. However, the prices of the mains ranged between $20 and $27 so the food doesn't compete on price with many other thai places.<br/><br/>I will certainly be back to enjoy Trinitas Thai for their great food and service, but it will generally be on special occasions.

Great Thai. Went on a Friday night with two friends for dinner. Ordered entree spring rolls both the deep fried and fresh version. Both were very flavoursome. For main we shared chicken pad Thai and the beef masaman curry. They were both so fresh, full of flavour and not oily at all. Even though they were busy we had great service as well. <br/>I would definitely return as the price was very reasonable.

A great night out!. Absolutely delicious meals with prompt and enthusiastic service. <br/>We ordered the three kings and the garlic and pepper beef which were both amazing. <br/>I'd particularly recommend the three kings as it was completely unique and I will definitely order it again.<br/>Loved the atmosphere and although it was busy it never felt that way.

Nice place to go for lunch!. I have never been to Trinitas for dinner but the lunches have always been good. for about 10 bucks, you get a decent serve of food and my colleages love this place for lunch (and dinner). only down side is that it only opens Thurs and Fri for lunch. <br/><br/>Cashew Chicken is my fav !
