Review Hash Specialty Coffee - Camberwell

I have never seen so many people enjoy breakfast in Japan. In Tokyo, most people buy breakfast at convenience stores. The people of Melbourne seem to value breakfast. There was a line before the shop opened. The amount of money is high for Japanese people. Breakfast is $ 17- $ 20. For lunch, it's around $ 25. However, this amount makes sense because it is a healthy ingredient and of high quality. I'm studying vegan, so I visited here. There are many vegan cafes in Australia. There is a () at the end of the menu. It is useful to know about this English abbreviation. V(Vegetarian)VE(Vegan)GF(Gluten Free) In most cases, it is also in the lower right corner of the menu list. Or you can ask the staff. The cafe staff in Melbourne are serving customers with big smile :)

Hash Specialty Coffee was a brunch spot famous for their fairy floss hot chocolate. We ordered both the Mork hot chocolate and matcha latte, and each came with a cloud of fairy floss. They were very pretty to look at, but it got quite messy when we tried to pour the hot choc into the cup through the fairy floss! It was quite fun though. Food-wise, we ordered a croissant and a corn fritter; the croissant was buttery and flakey and the corn fritter was crunchy, flavourful and served with a perfectly poached egg. Ambiance-wise it was cosy with wooden themed decor, service was average.

I came for a got chocolate after working a night shift. To wind down from the over night. I found the hot chocolate was prepared right at the right temperature. Good taste!

Decent breakfast & coffee, tried 3 of their mains, all is good but nth special.

This is just an average cafe nothing special. Don’t be fool by the previous photos. They no longer have the fairy floss chocolate. Hash closed in Melb CBD and opened this place which is 20mins drive from the city centre. Food average and overpowering with coconut milk. Coffee is bitter and served cold. Not coming back

Great spot to get some work done and enjoy good coffee. I had a couple of pour over coffees with sparkling water. Ideal for productivity. Finished with a soup for lunch. Will be back

We love the creativity of the Owner and Head chef. There is always something new and you should post on Instagram level of fabulous good. They have a unique talent for making you feel like you are of the family and their staff are always attentive and helpful. We have celebrated a number of significant birthdays and anniversaries there. You won't be disappointed and do not forget to hug the giant line friend brown bear.

Fantastic brunch location! I really loved the avocado toast- so generous with the amount of avocado. The location itself is great, though be aware of Sunday market traffic if you’re thinking of driving. My waitress was lovely, and me and my friends had a great time.

Came here a few days ago for their special hot chocolate and if you haven't tried it, you must! It's an experience within itself. <br/>The hot chocolate itself is beautiful. Velvety smooth with the intensity of real chocolate rather than some places that use powder. <br/>Highly recommend.

A girlfriend and I went here for lunch today. The food was amazing, service very friendly and food came out fast which is so important on your lunch break! Loved the decor too, will definitely be going back!

Yesterday I found this cafe is famous on Instagram <br/>Excellent coffee, food and service. We had baked egg, burgers, coffee and hot chocolate, yummy yummy! Best place for cafe food and catching up.

So I went to this café for a quick lunch and could not recommend this place highly enough. The fit-out was trendy with their iconic teddy and variety of seating options. I had smash avocado and my colleague ordered baked eggs. We both enjoyed our meals and I loooooved my matcha shake. The price is very reasonable for the generous portion and the presentation. Nothing super fancy in this place but if you love a decent meal without a price tag in the centre of camberwell, go for it!

These guys do a top notch cuppa joe. Totally worth a visit.

Came in for a coffee, left with a chocolate croissant 😂 classic me! Hash uses reverence coffee beans and brewed a good enough cuppa to wake me up. I was hoping for more chocolate fillings in the croissant (it seemed more airy than usual).

We had great expectations of the legendary Hash, but unfortunately, they came crashing down.<br/>Coffee and the legendary hot chocolate were good, no doubt.<br/>But service was dismal. Stood around for a good 5 mins, while the staff walked to and fro, with no acknowledgement or assistance. Practically had to wave our hands and called out multple times before we got any service. The service was also rather robotic, with little warmth or enthusiasm.<br/>Then we were told that we couldn't order food as the kitchen was closing an hour before the closing time, despite of it being an all-day menu and no mention of it anywhere online or on its menu.<br/>Overall, a rather disappointing experience, which left a bitter taste.

$6 for a regular sized take away hot chocolate? Damn daniel. Also way to chocolatey and not very pleasant to drink. I know we’re in camberwell but jeez!

Great food, great vibe. Service is so nice. Love this place. I am going back there every week. My most favorite dish is baked egg, really nice flavour and every goes really well. Favorite drink is soy Matcha latte and lovely unique chai latte that they are housemade. Next times, when it comes to summer I will try there Matcha milk shake. I saw it the other days. That looks fantastic and interesting.

I’ll start off by saying that the coffee and food at Hash is great. However, the service was a let down. To begin, we stood at the counter awkwardly wondering if a host would seat us or whether we could just sit at a table. You have to go up to the counter to order. When we did so, the waitress asked if we had already eaten. We said no and that we had just arrived. It turns out that the people at the table before us hadn’t paid- no doubt due to poor organisation. Further, the meals were brought out at different times and one of our meals never came. When we brought this to the attention of the manager, he was not apologetic and seemed more concerned about finding out which server had taken our order. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Not fresh taste at all. Pancakes are very sweet. Beacon and sausage are very salty. Popcorns taste are not fresh. Personally we don’t like it.
Desiree Munro
Chai is the best. Coffee also good. Tea is good quality and presented beautifully. However the meals themselves are overpriced and there are some flaws. For example the haloumi fritter had absolutely no identifyable haloumi in the taste, texture or look of it, further, it was still frozen on the inside.<br/>If I was just marking the hot drinks, this place would get 5 stars for sure.
Caroline
Coffee is decent and food is not bad too. Service can be a bit slow we had to wait 20 mins for our food to come out. Understand it is a rush lunch hour but won’t be good for those who only have short lunch break.
The Brunch Specialist
Hash Specialty Coffee is tucked away at the rear of Burke Rd and is perfect for a feed after browsing the nearby Camberwell Market. At the back of the cafe is a cute giant Brown Bear for those familiar with Line app.<br/><br/>Visiting for brunch I ordered the arepas consisting of Colombian corn chip, zesty salsa, chorizo, avocado and a fried egg. The dish was delicious and beautifully presented. All of the components of the dish worked well together and it was packed full of flavour. <br/><br/>Overall I had a lovely experience at Hash. I received great service from the friendly staff and enjoyed my meal. I give Hash Speciality Coffee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 and recommend that you check them out if you’re in the area.<br/>

Met a couple of friends here who chose HASH for a quiet coffee. I ordered a soy latte. Unfortunately the soy milk on top was not smooth and it had curdled on the top. My friend ordered a long black, but received a macchiato. The waitress was friendly and exchanged this second coffee mistake. <br/><br/>Halfway through we heard loud construction/building going on next door. So it did not end up being a quiet catch up. As we sat next to the wall we soon realised that we were getting covered in dust and noticed the tables and condiments were all dusty. At best, the cafe should have blocked off those tables in that area so customers would not be too uncomfortable. <br/><br/>Our first visit was much better. Sort out the dust and building works outside of food preparation times and we would be much happier.

Kitchen closes at least an hour before the cafe shuts. We’ve tried twice to eat here but to no avail as we’ve come on by right on kitchen close time. Shame as it looks ok. Go round the corner to MOB - they’re kitchen closes at 5pm. <br/>

The CIA pudding was amazing.<br/>Really enjoyed the fresh fruit, portion was just right.<br/>The fritter was cook very well.<br/>The place was nice and clean

Today I had brunch at Hash Specialty Coffee. It is a quiet and spacious cafe so good for small groups who would like to catch up. Only downside is that Hash is in a really open space near Boost Juice so on warm days the venue gets really hot easily. Iced coffee (even in a bottle) cannot stay cold in these conditions 😂 I felt a bit bad for the staff since it is quite warm today. This is a very unique place with really nice drinks. Portion sizes are generous. I enjoyed my Lemon meringue pancakes, however I did find the pancakes a bit dry. I did love the combinations though, all ingredients went well together. I especially liked the strawberries! I think everyone enjoyed their brunch here.
Emily Nelson
their chocolate just so thick and dense which is unique and stand out from whatever chocolate I taste before. really love the fairy floss combo to come with it.

Another incredible find in Camberwell. The interior was very comfortable and the giant bear from the app line was adorable and a great addition. Service was not bad and we were greeted with a lovely server who kindly asked us whether we wanted sparkling or still water. We did have to grab our own menus, but that was totally fine.<br/><br/>We ended up ordering the eggs Benedict and the kale and quinoa salad. At first the salad had a strange taste, almost vinegary, but after you mix everything together, it was exquisite. The salad, despite the veggies and kale, were very crunchy and the pea pods were extremely sweet. The Benedict was the perfect blend of salmon and eggs, with a runny yolk that did not taste too raw or too liquidy. Overall, the food was amazing and I cannot wait to come back to try the famous cotton candy hot chocolate.
Quince And Cheese
A new favourite when I'm in the area, which is often. Consistently good coffee, and perfectly hot. If you're sitting in, heads up that the space is open and shares a walkway with other venues, but it's relatively quiet and pleasant.

This is on my local hood, so nice to be able to visit! We really enjoyed this cafe. The food was delicious and we tried the famous hot chocolate and fairy floss, and it was scrumptious! So rich and smooth. Recommend on a colder day than summer time.

Located a hop and a skip away from the Camberwell market, Hash’s second outlet is the perfect embodiment of a thriving Melbourne café, a weekend brunch mecca, drawing in the crowds week in week out with its consistently excellent food, fantastic coffee and cheerful wait staff. <br/><br/>The open plan space creates a warm atmosphere; with the coffee bar greeting you at the entrance.

This is an amazing place to have brunch with family at weekend. We were surprised that there was a huge bear at the corner. Then lots of people took pics there. The coffee and hot chocolate is perfect. The barista just made a little duck on the topping for my cappuccino. The staff there were awsome as well! You could see big smiles always. It's worthy of going.

Beautiful place to have breakfast before going to Camberwell Sunday Market, ordered Arepas and benidict. Both were cooked beautifully and taste was good as well. Coffee was good. Prefer more arepas than chorizo. Will be back to try others.

3.5/5 or 7/10<br/><br/>The CBD Hash is one of my fav cafes in Melbourne, so I had great expectations about this cafe. Unfortunately, it falls short in all fronts if compared to the other Hash.<br/><br/>As a stand alone cafe, this is a lovely place. The staff are really welcoming and genuinely friendly, the premises are very cool, and the menu is nice enough. My pumpkin croquettes on salsa were really lovely, as it was the coffee I had.
Silvi Jiang
We were looking forward to have the duck Benedict however they have taken it off the menu. We still gave it a go as the reviews for this place were high. To be honest the food tastes alright, however in terms of the price is a bit high for what you get. We ordered the Atlantic Benedict and corn chips which turned out to be chip shaped fritters and a muffin with the supermarket smoked salmon and a poached egg.
Shannon Mijnhout
When the food arrived, the presentation was quite nice. However the quail was underwhelming and small (more a "light bite" than a lunch). The salmon was overpowering in the Atlantic Benedict and the french toast bacon croissant had nothing french toast to it, and was average at best. Very disappointed with the meal.

Recently went to Hash and ordered their corn fritters, french toasted bacon croissant & steak sandwich. As for drinks I had to order their iconic hot choc w/ fairy floss & a refreshing iced peach drink! Both of them were really nice to drink!<br/><br/>The corn fritters were extra delicious cause it was filled with bits of halloumi. The french toasted bacon croissant tasted really good too - the combo of everything sweet & savoury actually went really well together so don’t be too scared to try it. My fave that day would have to be the steak sandwich - it was seriously SO GOOD! The steak was super tender, the sourdough was nice and fluffy & the beetroot ketchup was a MUST.<br/><br/>The manager & staff were super lovely too, making the experience even better! :)

A little dark zen place. Modern and industrial furnishing with Gigantic brown bear at the end of the cafe. Hash blend coffee is my kind of taste & i love it. Rose water raspberry meringue is beautiful but a little too sweet for my tooth and can be quite chewy because of the candy floss inside the meringue. Cost of Meringue is only $5 and is bigger than my palm size. Coffee $3.80 a cup. Value for money. Definitely will come back for their coffee again. Gonna try their filter coffee next time.

Best services & brunch!<br/>Visiting there twice! Nothing i can complain about it.<br/>i<br/>It was well priced ... was very entertained by watching the barista, he seemed like he loved and took pride in his work! Staff was cheerful and friendly. Top notch!<br/>

I love their corn and halloumi fritters. Avocado and pickled fennel are great but the romesco sauce is my favourite bit in the dish. I have tried smashed avocado on toast as well but I found it quite hard to cut through their very thick slice of toast.
Hungrycaterpillar
I got the pumpkin croquettes. They were pretty decent, but nothing spectacular - didn't really feel some mixed corn and tomatoes made a good enough salsa to go with it. Coffee and food also took a long time to come out. I enjoyed my meal but won't be coming back again, not with so many better cafes out there.

Hash Camberwell is located in a walkway between Burke Road & the main car park out the back. It has seating inside & also some seating in the light filled walkway. I was impressed with the set up & menu with some really interesting options. It’s a lovely venue & I loved the artwork outside where we decided to sit. <br/><br/>We started with coffees & ordered a few dishes to share as well as the Hash Iced Chocolate & the Hash Hot Chocolate. <br/><br/>The Hash Hot Chocolate was a showstopper, Mörk 85% chocolate served with fairy floss. I always think it’s fun to try something with a bit of theatre & pouring the thick, rich hot chocolate over the fairy floss & watching it dissolve was enthralling. The Iced Chocolate was also amazing, maple infused chocolate milk served with ice cream & a salted chocolate brownie crumb. Rich, decadent & extremely delicious. <br/><br/>The porridge was a gorgeous dish, a combination of oats, chia & quinoa served with candied walnuts, caramelised banana & maple syrup. I hadn’t had porridge in years but this made me feel like Goldilocks & got me back into porridge again. <br/><br/>We also had the Pumpkin croquettes, a dish we both enjoyed, the croquettes were crispy on the outside & soft inside and were perched on top of a roasted corn & tomato salsa with avocado. The salsa really was a highlight & gave the dish a burst of freshness. <br/><br/>We shared the Steak Sandwich was one of the best we’d tried. It was an open sandwich with plenty of flavour filled toppings. <br/><br/>Aside from the incredible food, the service at Hash was fantastic, a real highlight of our experience. Thanks so much for having us & looking forward to coming back. <br/><br/>*Please note the menu has altered slightly since our visit

Lovely cafe - spacious and seatings were comfortable. We ordered Bacon Croissant which has fried egg and peanut butter and was surprisingly satisfying. The Chorizo and Scallops with Romesco sauce was really yummy. - scallops cooked well. <br/><br/>I always enjoy the Chai Latte here and the cafe brags about it on their menu as well, “Our perfected recipe with a hint of Chilli”. I throughly enjoy the spiciness and the good balance of flavour.

Went with my missus for Saturday late lunch. We ordered steak sandwich, moroccan chicken salad and a hot chocolate to share, along with 2 skinny latte.<br/><br/>Highlight of the visit is the hot chocolate with fairy floss. It looked nice and tasted great. Not sweet and full of dark chocolate flavour. The food was decent like most cafes in Melbourne.<br/><br/>Overall a positive experience.

I've been wanting to try their Mörk chocolate with fairy floss ever since I saw a photo of it! Today I got my chance. Gimmicky? Yes. Delicious? Yes. Worth it? Totally! I ordered a shot of coffee with mine and made myself a mocha. Pure bliss.<br/><br/>We ordered the Chorizo and Scallop and the Sautéed Mushrooms. Both were beautifully presented. Most of the elements worked in harmony. Only the white bean puree was oddly cold.<br/><br/>Service was a bit aloof. Lots of open spaces for prams, especially in the walkway area.<br/><br/>Tip: on weekends, you have to ask for the milk beaker with the Mörk chocolate and fairy floss.
Liang Lihua
Ordered chicken burger. Meat was tender and juicy. Black bun was soft and tasty. Went to hash because the other two brunch places in the same street was too busy. However, I was not disappointed and happy with the taste and service. Will be back again.

4.5<br/><br/>My friend and I decided to visit Hash after the Camberwell Sunday market . We started our meals off with the famous hash hot chocolate and a tea . The hot chocolate was very rich and the theatrical fairy floss pour made the drink so much fun. I do recommend getting a side of hot milk to dilute it if you dont like your hot choccy rich . The tea was also presented so well , it had a timer which told you when your tea was ready <br/><br/>The menu had so many things that spoke to us so we were pretty excited to try out these unique dishes. The first dish was a perfectly cooked scallop and crispy chorizo + a sunny side up egg dish under a delicious capsicum base , we devoured this one in a few minutes. <br/><br/>We then ordered the quail which was paired with roasted vegetables, this was a very healthy dish and we were delighted to find the quail was still juicy and non the slightest overcooked . As this was so healthy we wanted to balance out the meal and get the loaded wedges which had pulled pork, guac and a huge dollop of sour cream ( perfection) <br/><br/>For a sweet treat we ordered the famous bacon, banana, peanut butter croissant . Not only was this pretty as a picture it was so good ! How could such combinations be so wrong yet so right ? Please don’t ask me as I am not quite sure, all I know was that I liked it, more and more as I ate too <br/><br/>Thanks so much for having us , we had an amazing brunch experience

Hidden just of the street in a local shopping arcade, you run the risk of missing Hash if you're not aware it's there! The cafe has a dark interior with lots of nooks for intimate brunch dates, larger tables for groups, plus seating out in the (covered) arcade which is puppy friendly and has great lighting for your food pics! The artwork on the walls has been commissioned from local artists and really brings a fun cultural element to the space.<br/><br/>Hash in Camberwell is the younger sister of the CBD store, so some of the all day menu is similar, with variations to accommodate the taste of the local customers. The offerings have become more vegan friendly of late, and they've switched things up a bit with some new dishes for winter. We feel that the menu here is possibly even better executed than it is in the city! As much as possible they use local suppliers, including Reverence coffee as their brew of choice. The Hash group make their own brand of Chai which I've heard is really yummy, however it's zhooshed with hint of chilli so I can't try it as I'm allergic :(<br/><br/>The staff are really friendly, welcoming and helpful when it comes to trying to choose between the scrumptious sounding dishes. The service is pretty quick and we didn't have to wait long for our meals either.<br/><br/>On this visit we ordered the Chia & quinoa chocolate pudding $16.5; Corn Arepas $19; Pumpkin Croquettes $18.5 and I just had to get that Mork hot chocolate with fairy floss for the dramatic pour!<br/><br/>The Chia & quinoa pudding was a good texture, not too soggy or mooshy and the right amount of chocolatey flavour for it not to be overpowering or rich. A good amount of crunchy bits to add interest and a gorgeous orange blossom syrup served on the side so you can sweeten (and moisten) to taste.<br/><br/>The Arepas (vegan option available) are an American style corn chip, kind of like a crunchy pancake, made in-house with locally sourced authentic South American corn flour. They're crispy on the edges and sort of dense in the middle. Accompanied by a fresh, zesty salsa, pomegranate, smashed avo, fried egg and a mild chorizo this dish is quite light but filling at the same time with a nice kick from the chilli garnish. <br/><br/>The pumpkin croquettes are beautifully presented with roasted corn and tomato salsa, avo, herb salad and a poached egg (vegan option also available with this one). The pumpkin centre of the croquettes is perfectly soft and creamy with just a little bit of sweetness allowing the natural pumpkin flavour to really shine. Covered in a light crunchy coating and accompanied by fresh, brightly coloured salsa - we loved this dish.<br/><br/>They serve the lattes here in cappuccino mugs, which I'm personally not a fan of as I prefer the experience of drinking from a glass. However the coffee is hot and smooth and they have a good range of milk and coffee alternatives to cater for everyone.<br/>We're big fans of Hash and will be back again soon.

Very cosy and relax environment. Love the mixed Asian mushroom - please don’t take it off your menu! Wanted to try their Beef Benedict but it was replaced by Atlantic Benedict. Still good. Coffee has high standard. Chocolate is good for kids entertainment. Service is not very attentive but acceptable. This place is spacious and suitable for big groups too. Overall, a decent discovery in my recent brunch activities.

A place I would like to bring friends back to. <br/><br/>Refreshing and pleasant discovery. Always lovely to find a place that gets the food right and coffee right at the same time. Very spacious and long tables for bigger groups. Food was good. The sautéed mixed Asian Mushrooms will be an instant favourite for the mushroom lovers, swapped bacon for the smoked salmon for the Benedict and it all came together very nicely. Coffee was good and well made. Could not resist ordering the fairy floss hot choc. Gimmicky but chocolate was nice all the same and didn’t seem like the powdered variety. <br/>

I grabbed a piccolo latte from here. The service was nice and the coffee tasty. <br/><br/>It would have been nice to linger here for longer as there were plenty of seats both inside and out under cover. <br/><br/>The food in the window looked good but I’d already had brunch. Worth a look if you want a good coffee.
Kiera Byrne
Had a great burger here a few weeks ago. Just recently tried the steak sandwich. It was good. I'd come back. Coffee has always been exceptional when I've been there.
Lss
Hot chocolate is the signature, and coffee is good. But they don’t do coffee in the mug, so we have to use takeaway cups for the large latte. The food is just ok. The quail has a very plain taste and the side is a bit boring. The Atlantic benedict is average standard.

What an absolute treat to be invited here for breakfast. I’ve been to the original CBD cafe years ago but this newer camberwell location is conveniently so much closer to home. Note the menu has changed from the Zomato listed and it’s pretty stupendous if I do say so myself. We started with a chai which, unlike the disappointingly bland ones you can sometimes experience, had a serious kick of ginger and chilli. I found this quite spicy but I was forewarned and used the honey provided to temper the heat. I figured it would play a part in warding off my serious cold too. <br/><br/>I loved the set up of the place and the pretty wall murals. The service was as absolute fabulous too, very genuine and friendly. Hash is famous for their Mork fairy floss hot chocolate but their smashed avo with pomegranate and beetroot ketchup is definitely worth trying too. This was a vibrant take on a breakfast classic which was thoroughly enjoyable.<br/><br/>I couldn’t go past a ‘breakfast dessert’ and the chia and quinoa chocolate pudding sounded healthy but tasted heavenly. This is a showstopper and something quite unique. Berries, coconut and cacao nibs paired with a knockout orange blossom syrup made for an exceptional dish. If you’re a sweet tooth it’s a must. You won’t be disappointed.

The staff was super friendly, but it was sadly not my best coffee.. probably too acidic for my personal taste! I haven't been there for brunch yet, but the menu looks delicious! I might give it a go!

Hash camberwell is spacious and really relaxing to dine in. We got to try the steak sandwich, smashed avo and french toasted bacon croissant. The maple and bacon just go together so well! The french toast was one of our favourite dish, the savoury of the bacon really standout in this sweet dish. We also had the batch brew coffee, which was perfect for this freezing weather.

> French toasted bacon croissant with peanut butter parfait, salted peanuts, caramel popcorn, banana and maple syrup <<br/><br/>As soon as I saw this dish come out I was super excited to photograph it because the presentation was absolutely stunning! But then as I looked into the different elements I was very intrigued by the elements and flavour combinations. I don’t usually associate bacon with sweet foods, however, I cannot believe I haven’t tried this combination before because I am surprised how much I really enjoyed this! The French toasted bacon croissant was super fluffy and the balance of the moisture was spot on. The peanut butter parfait, OMG, I died over! Anything with peanut butter and my mouth will salivate at the thought. The texture was soft and melted into the croissant incredibly! The salted peanuts and caramel popcorn gave the dish a nice crunch as well as enhanced the presentation. The banana was super soft and the sweetness from it helped to combine the other elements nicely. The maple syrup topped the dish off as the sweetness level was perfect in relation to the rest of the dish. I cannot recommend this dish enough and urge you to go and try it!! It is also quite filling so you won’t be hungry anytime soon after! <br/><br/>> Chia + quinoa chocolate pudding with freeze dries raspberries, puffed wild rice, strawberries, coconut flakes, cacao nibs and orange blossom syrup <<br/><br/>The presentation of this meal was very unique and really showcased what the dish had to offer. My initial thought was the flavour combination was quite and I was intrigued to see how it was going to work. To my surprise it worked really well. The first scoop I was a bit confused but then I added the orange blossom and that really boosted the moisture and flavours. The chocolate was not overpowering but the flavour was still present and boosted the dryness from the chia and quinoa. The fresh berries were perfect to add more flavour to the meal and enhanced the sweetness. It is a filling dish and will keep you energised and ready to conquer the day.<br/><br/>> Avocado with pickled beets, beetroot ketchup, pomegranate, fior di latte, sunflower seeds and micro herbs on toasted sourdough <<br/><br/>With two very unique dishes, we had to get something more basic and simple. A smaller yet still filling dish, the smashed avo was quite perfect as well. Lightly spread avo on a thin slice of toast made for a satisfying breakfast. The pomegranates were very refreshing and added a burst of flavour to each bite. The seeds and herbs added some more texture as well as a earthier flavour overall. Hash is known for their crazy creations, especially their hot chocolate, however, they still know how to produce the basics!<br/><br/>The breakfastpiggy team<br/><br/>Piggies out, Oink oink 🐷🐷

Hash Specialty Coffee is delightfully tucked away and has a great use of indoor space, with an outdoor feel. (Got to love a glass roof in winter). <br/><br/>Today we chose the house chai, mork chocolate, french toast croissant, chia pudding and the pumpkin croquettes.<br/><br/>The sensational house chai was identical to the one we had tried once before as the other Hash in the centre of Melbourne. In my humble opinion, it’s the best spicy chai blend in Melbourne with it’s the kick of chili that sets this apart from the rest of the pack. <br/><br/>The spectacular mork dark hot chocolate is served with an insane tower of fairy floss to sweeten the dark chocolate that is used, it was like drinking liquid gold, perfect chocolate taste with a delicious thick rich mouth feel. I have tried to perfect the pour for a second time now and I clearly need<br/>More training. <br/><br/>The French Toasted Bacon Croissant, with peanut butter parfait, salted peanuts, popcorn, banana and maple syrup was a sweet/savory dish that looked too pretty to eat. Once I got past the gorgeous plating, I happily devoured this dish. The bacon banana and maple combo is really huge in NZ so I was familiar with the great combination from my visits there and the peanut butter parfait was genius. <br/><br/>The Chia and Quinoa Chocolate Pudding was served in a beaker, the chocolate flavour accompanied by the combination of Puffed wild rice, Strawberries, Coconut flakes, Cacao nibs topped ensured plenty of crunch and a hint of sweet from the strawberries was a brilliant combination. <br/><br/>The Pumpkin croquettes came with corn and tomato salsa avacado and poached egg. Pairing pumpkin with corn or salsa really worked. The sweet pumpkin with the freshness of the salsa and the pop and zing of the pomegranate made for a flavoursome combo.<br/><br/>We were delighted to be invited to hash as the chefs clearly know that you eat with your eyes and the plating was 1st class. Thanks for having us.

Hash offers a space to accommodate small and large groups as was demonstrated by what seemed to be the entire crew from Vision PT Camberwell having breakfast after their walk/run club when we stopped in for breakfast. <br/><br/>Coffee was quite good and although I ordered a simple breakfast it was perfect. <br/><br/>

Before im going back to Indonesia, I went to have some brunch in camberwell. i found this new place inside the camberwell junction. The cafe is still quite new but the staff, the place and the vibes is very unique and nice. I ordered the chai latte, croissant (very recommended from me!) with bacon and maple syrup and my friend ordered the brioche with salmon and poached egg on it. The croissant is very buttery, very crispy and im so flabbergasted! Overall it was a satisfying experience for me. #BHAsFoodDiary

Duck leg and pork loin - thoroughly enjoyed both dishes! Fresh fit-out and service is friendly and inviting. Unfortunately, we ventured here for their famous hot chocolate but it was unavailable.. so will be back for this and to try other dishes.

Came here this morning for brunch with my friend. The staff were friendly and the cafe is sort of spread out across the walkway, changing the atmosphere of the cafe a little. The latte I had was quite strong, and had good flavor. I ordered the mixed mushrooms on toast, and the flavors of the truffle oil and the smoked aioli matched perfectly. The brioche was probably the only downfall, would have liked a less sweet base, because the rest of the dish was quite rich too. Still a reasonable order. My friend got the avocado dish and loved it, nice and refreshing. I also tried the famous hot chocolate with fairy floss, which was great for the effect but incredibly rich! A nice addition to the camberwell brunch scene.

Art on a plate! Not only visually appealing, all dishes tasted equally amazing. Although of course we had favourites! We ordered lattes, cold drip coffee, hash iced chocolate, has hot chocolate, almond milk pannacotta, French toast bacon croissant and the Aapork. <br/><br/>The little one loved everything! His favourite was the iced chocolate and the Aapork. <br/><br/>One thing I would like to see in the future is possibly some more kid friendly meals or even the option of small dishes more suitable for children. <br/><br/>All in all I thought this was a great place for breaky, brunch or lunch!<br/><br/>Find out more on my website and Instagram <br/><br/>www.thelittlehungrylife.com.au
Delightfullytasty
Overall, the experience here at Hash was good, though I probably wouldn't get the hot chocolate again if I did come here. It's a little pricey but worth a visit if you're after brunch places in the Camberwell area. The menu at Hash isn't very comprehensive, with only a few breakfast and lunch options to choose from, but there's a few interesting dishes that are a slight twist on traditional ones.
Bonan Chen
Its near to the Camberwell Fresh Food Market. The Chocolate Pudding is amazing! Beautiful and delicious. Staffs are nice and friendly. A good place to have a break with brunch.
