Vietnamese is one of my favourite cuisines and I love the Vietnamese noodle salads (bun). I enjoyed the salad I got from Bao & Bun. I also got bao buns to share with friends. You can never go wrong with baos - so soft and delicious.
Service was good and the restaurant was bright and inviting.
Our new local favorite, exceptional Vietnamese deliciousness and an extensive menu, can't wait to go back to try more, friendly service, relaxed vibe, quick super fresh and really yummy! We went with some friends who were utterly impressed, the ginger rockling is delicious, the crepe was recommended by another table as a must try and definitely was a success, the Hoi An spring rolls had everyone raving but to me the tofu is the best ever, silky smooth delectable little parcels of goodness, oh also the salt and pepper squid, yum I just want to go back again to have it all again. Very sweet they played happy birthday for our table. Great work Angela's Kitchen! and it's BYO!!
Very pleasant visit to Bao & Bun. Excellent customer service. The Vietnamese food were very nicely plated and delicious. I love coming here because it reminds me of sweet times in Vietnam.
Called in to try a bowl of their Sliced Rare Beef Pho - delicious! (And then went back for a take-away one a few days later - perfect.) I will be a regular customer now. Spotless attractive premises, service with a smile, quite an extensive menu with many dishes to try. Happy.
Dropped in for lunch. Quite an extensive menu. Service was quick and friendly. Cuisine authentic Vietnamese, fresh and delicious. We had Hanoi Style Spring Rolls with lettuce and fresh herbs. Mains were Chef's Special Hanoi Style Grilled Pork with Vermicelli Salad. Total came to $52 for two.
I've been here a few times recently and the food has been consistently good. Really tasty and fresh. They seem to be very busy with takeaway/uber eats orders but they manage it well, we didn't wait long for our meals at all.
Very good service and the food was great! One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Camberwell! I will definately recommend it to my friends!
Nice food at very affordable prices considering the location. Portion sizes are also decent. Seems to be more popular as a takeaway place rather than a dine-in place but I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!
I have been craving vegetables and find that it's really hard to get meals out with enough of them. I enjoyed a fabulous serve with chicken replacing the seafood with extra vegetables and thoroughly enjoyed this after work one day. I'll be back for more!!
We are regulars here! The pho is authentic and delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive. If you love authentic Vietnamese food, you should definitely give this place a go!
Staff were really friendly, the vietnamese iced coffee was delicious and their banh mi was extremely fresh and a reasonable priced! Middle Camberwell has needed somewhere like this!
Lovely service - owner was very sweet. The place was very clean. Great addition to the area as there are not many vietnamese restaurants around. Love that they serve bahn mi's as well for an easy takeaway!
Came here with a few mates last night and was greeted by friendly faces which instantly set us in a good mood. The night was chilly but the atmosphere was warm. My crew each opted for a pho (I myself had the combination) with a banh mi on the side. Everything was absolutely divine, simply scrumptious. Taste was authentic and serving size was very decent for the price we paid. Service was also quick. I think my mates and I have found a new favourite hang out place!
Ok so I have a favourite pho place in Richmond but my partner in crime often insists that we try something new so that is how we ended up at Bao and Bun. I must say the food was very nice and prices were good for the area. Good service, food comes out quickly and not westernized like other Vietnamese restaurants. Highly recommend the beef and chicken combination pho and spring rolls.
Just had a crispy pork Banh Mi for lunch, it was excellent and very close in flavour to the ones I've eaten in Vietnam. Very friendly people in there too, big smiles :) I will return for sure.
This new cafe makes a welcome addition to the area for a quick, casual bite to eat. Perhaps not as authentically Vietnamese as some of the better known restaurants around Box Hill, the food nevertheless is fresh, fast and tasty.
Parking is easy since it's close to Woolworths and the decor is simple, clean but adequate. Check out the fresh bakery sweets on offer in the window to finish off with tea and coffee available as well.
Vietnamese restaurants seem to be losing out to Thai and Korean restaurants over recent years so it's great to see a new one opening. This is a basic all purpose place that does everything from coffees and snacks to full meals. I've been here for lunch and dinner and enjoyed both - the fact it is byo is another good feature. The won tons, pho, and egg noodle soup we had were all very tasty. Service was good but I would have liked to see the little trays of soy, chilli etc on the table like other Vietnamese restaurants instead of having to ask for it. I will be back and hope it does well.
