Review Nana Vietnamese Restaurant - Camberwell

Naomi Attalla
Nana is the best Viet food I’ve had in Melbourne!! Truly lucky to have it in my area. Aside from true Vietnamese food options, they also had Malay and Chinese, both which were quite well made and enjoyable. I really could not recommend this restaurant more!!!

Been here twice now. Great authentic food. Was in a hurry this one afternoon and the owners were only too happy to rush my order. Great tasting Vietnamese food that I would recommend. Pricing that also isn't crazy that still gives you good value for money.

Special Lunch with a Can of Free Soft Drink less than A$12.80 - Lemongrass Chicken . They should use less Onion and a few more Veggies and meat . I had Chicken with Combonation Veggies ( all Onion ) . I don't mind to pay an extra A$1 for the Lunch Specials as long as the Restaurant Owners increase the size of Meat and more Vegetables

Unfortunately my experience ordering takeaway vermicelli beef and vegetable spring rolls from Nana’s was mediocre, I thought their food lacked consistency and authenticity. Personally I think Roll’d does a better job with Vietnamese cuisine. Also no sustainable packaging used, just plastic wrapped in plastic.

This is a hidden gem on Toorak Road Camberwell. We ordered take away for 5. Ordered online via their website which was very easy. It was a hotch potch of choices for our family. Chicken Pho, Laksa and not really very Vietnamese - Lemon Chicken. Also ordered some rice paper rolls and dim sims. The food was ready on time 20 minutes later, fresh and hot. The Pho was excellent and very authentic. The Laksa too was first class. Sides were great too. Whilst the restaurant itself looks a bit tired and in need of an upgrade for take away it’s fine. Recommended.

Yum!! - such a good find! Wasn't sure what I was getting myself into from the outside, but so good once I got inside! Friendly staff and the food was amazing! Small portion, so two mains were needed for 3 people, which makes it a bit pricey, but worth it for how good the food was. 😊

My 4th visit last night and another great meal. I brought 4 girlfriends with me who loved their food and vowed to be back. They shared the lobster dish and said is was superb. Thanks for not kicking us out and cleaning up around us- we know we talk too much!

Traditional authentic Vietnamese. From the outside looks pretty basic however magic happens in the kitchen! My fave dish is the Mongolian chicken!

Cute little family restaurant with fresh and tasty food. The laksa here is awesome.

Don't know what the bad reviews are about. Simple family run restaurant with decent priced food. So what, service can be better but this is what you get with family restaurants. It allows the prices to be reasonable. Food has always been fresh and tasty the numerous times we've been.

While the food was decent, the service was an absolute disaster. The waitress didn’t seem to care despite every measure taken to get her attention, be it to order or for a takeaway box. We asked her to serve our meals in two courses, but everything was brought out together and our mains were cold while we were half way through our entrees. The worst bit was when we were asked to wait for 15 minutes for an itemised bill because they were busy ( there were two other tables ).
Never coming back!

So great to have this delicious little Vietnamese restaurant as our new local go to favourite, great value, BYO, fresh clean flavours, lots of choice, friendly service and so yummy. Definitely recommend the salt and pepper calamari, grilled eggplant with soy, pho, rockling or flounder, and huge selection of rice dishes to choose from. Also great value lunch specials. Only problem is choosing something different to order each time we go! Keep up the good work Nana, delicious!

Beautiful tasty Vietnamese food! I love the grilled chicken pho and pork spring roll vermicelli. Have ordered twice in a week. Yum. I will definitely be back. So glad burwood has another good eatery.

Quick and friendly service. Cheap and good sized serves. High chairs and plastic bowls etc for babies. We have had some enjoyable meals from here but agree that some dishes are better than others. For the price and serving size, I'm happy.

Thought I'd give this restaurant a go as I'm a local and happened to be walking past. I'm usually one for giving things a fair go. Have always enjoyed Vietnamese food, and thought I'd give 'Nana' a try. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed in the sub-par quality of the food that was served to us. Looks like it's back to Box Hill to enjoy the high quality food and better atmosphere.

Really hit and miss with the menu at this place..rice paper rolls are awesome but everything else is average. It’s not really clear what the cuisine is either because they have Vietnamese items but also Thai, Chinese and Malaysian. We’ve given it a few tries, but unfortunately it hasn’t gotten any better.

The menu is hit and miss. There are some items we usually pick for a quick meal like the crispy egg noodles or vermicelli Vietnamese salad and they are good. But once you venture into other areas its really hit and miss. We went with a couple of friend last week and ordered dim sims as entree, they are not dim sims but mini dumplings that looks like made by a 5 year old, the dough is also unusually chewy and the filling has no taste. spring rolls were ok, satay sticks good. sizzling plate is a little meh, stir fry ok and fried rice standard, salt and pepper calamari was good though. It definitely cheap but by no means a Vietnamese restaurant, the quality is not what a true Vietnamese restaurant would serve up.

such a shame came in today to get a take away chicken Tom yum soup which is a favourite of mine and I thought I would try it here as it's close to home. The soup was very oily you couldn't eat it. The noodles were ok but the chicken was very dry.

Best food ever! Come here once or twice a week because dad and I can’t get enough. Staff are super friendly and good service provided. Recommend the vermicelli with pork spring rolls.

Food was delicious and fresh, prices reasonable and great friendly staff. Will definitely return and highly recommend. Had the wontons, Nasi Goreng and sizzling Mongolian beef.

A great little local vietnamese restaurant. Relatively new so was the first time i'd been there.

We had a few tom yum soups, some sizzling prawn & seafood plates, spring rolls, a laksa and lemon chicken. Our group of 5 all said the food was good and people loved the iced vietnamese coffees too.

Service was super friendly too & efficient. We weren't drinking but pretty sure its BYO so great for a mid week or weekend meal. Great addition to the neighbourhood!
