The staff were friendly and helpful . We had chicken and prawn dumplings and beef dumplings . They were both very nice . I enjoyed the experience.
The dumplings are very freshly made, speaking as a Chinese. The wait time is consequently longer but I would certainly return just for the dumplings.
We come here every Friday for lunch and so far,
it's nothing but a positive experience. They have generous servings and their dumplings is the best!The staff have always been pleasant to us too. We'll certainly stick to this place for a perfect dining experience.

The place is real close to our apt and is the go to place for my wife and I for vegetarian dumplings (fried and boiled). We have mostly always had dumplings here, but they have a comforting bean curd soup. Would recommend anyone to give it a go !!
Have dined in as well as take away from this place. Dumplings were tasty. Food in general slightly on the oily and salty side, but overall quite authentic and tasty for the price you pay.

Based my review purely against other dumpling houses I've visited in Melbourne as opposed to 'all restaurant types'. Dumplings here are beautiful and are made in house, the chef/owner was super friendly and gave us a mini class on dumpling making. The staff here are very friendly and really helpful even though we had a slight language barrier, we got there in the end! Had the pork in chilli oil dumplings, fried beef dumplings and shredded pork and ginger plate. Was top notch food and one of the better dumpling houses I've made a pig of myself at...
The flavour of the food here were suprisingly good! Fried shrimp was sweet but i like it, but for those dont like sweet, better dont order. Pan fried Chicken and prawn dumpling was okay, pork and prawn wonton soup was okay too, shanghai noodle was good, and spicy beef was okay. I think they just hv to improve on the service, servany wasnt smiling and awkward, owner had guest over and talking super loud.
Dropped in for some dumplings after searching around for somewhere to eat. Absolutely perfect. Skin was delicious and perfectly cooked, filling was tasty and well balanced. Will be back, I think it will replace my usual.
Best dumplings this side of town I'm surprised people aren't queuing out the door- highly recommend their vegetarian dumplings!

Nice decor and very good dumplings. We had the chicken and prawn dumplings which had a nice ginger hit, but not a lot of flavour. We also had the prawn and Pork dumplings in soup. These were really good in a very good dark broth.
Prices were reasonable for Camberwell. Dumpling dishes both 9.80 and $2 for a thermos of Chinese tea.
I am never disappointed when I eat here. The dumplings are so flavorsome and cooked to perfection every time. The servings are generous at great prices too :) love having this little gem so close to my home! Keep up the excellent work guys! X
This place has new owners and a brand new Menu. The new family at Shanghai make their dumplings fresh everyday and I tell you they really are the best dumplings you will find this side of the city.... I even rather here than box hill. The soup dumplings ( xiao long Bao) are AMAZING . Pan fried pork a close second ! Other dishes of note - sweet and sour shrimp and the soups! Actually to be honest I have yet to order anything off the new menu I haven't enjoyed . So far I have been back every week since they took over for my dumpling fix .
Needed a quick dinner and this place was great! The vegetarian dumplings (both steamed and fried) were really yummy ☺️ not overly expensive either. Happy to go back and get them any time I feel like dumplings
Area is a bit of a dead zone when it comes to dumplings. Eatable dumplings the simple layout which lets it down a little bit. Didn't enjoy the pork roll as much as the dumplings.
Just discovered this little place recently. Appearance could do with some work but food is always cheap and tasty. Fried dumplings always impress and entrees are always yummy. Mains and rice could do with abit more work. Will continue to visit this restaurant for the friendly takeaway service

Great little dumpling spot!. My friends and I come here on a near weekly basis for the cheap, delicious dumplings! The fried wontons and the pork dumplings are a winner! Never costs more than 15-20 bucks per person!

Good food, reasonable price and service is not bad. We had lunch here today, we had shanghai dumplings (the one with the soup in them) which was very good, the freshness of the meat could be tasted. The pan fried dumplings and pumpkin cakes were good too. We had one cold dish, the drunken chicken. Although there were only five pieces in the serve, the meat was thick and tasty.

Quick and Tasty. Went here using a Groupon voucher for all you can eat dumplings on a Tuesday night with my boyfriend. Nothing to complain about apart from we never got served our jasmine tea, but we didn't mind as we were too preoccupied with the dumplings. Dumplings were tasty especially the soup and vegetarian dumplings. The fried rice was pretty standard, nothing to exciting. Would definitely come back for dumplings if I was in the Camberwell area.
Tasty Xiao Long Pao. Used a voucher for 4 at this restaurant on Saturday for lunch. Nothing special about the dumplings except that the xiao long pao was good and something I would order. In the end, we asked for 2 further serves of it. No complaints about service as they were helpful enough to meet our requests for extra bowls, tea. etc. I rate this as above average compared to most of the dumpling places in Chinatown.

Food was very tasty. Dumplings were very tasty and it was complete value for money. It was evident from the taste that the meat was also very fresh. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family members.
I just reviewed that Taos dumpling has some very awful tasting dumpling using not-so-fresh mince. However Shanghai noodle has the best dumpling in town!!!! We always order the pan fried pork dumpling and the Shanghai fried noodle. Very reasonably priced. Haven't tried other dishes. If you are a big fans of dumpling you can't miss it!
The steamed buns were alright, but the dumplings were so tasty and delicious that they alone carry the five star rating. Made in house, the dumplings are beautiful to look at and taste great too!

Took mummy here for lunch yesterday. Shes extremely fussy and not a huge fan of tofu. But the spicy hot pot and pork mince with the sticky rice was finger licking good good great! And so cheap $30 fed three people.definately will be heading here again. So close. Saves me travelling to chinatown. Little oily and salty but authentic yummo.
A hidden gem amidst Camberwell Bourke St precinct. Excellent dumplings with generous portions. A must try place.
My takeaway dumplings and noodles were tasty as; the pricing was reasonable and the staff were very friendly - great customer service, highly recommend.
Had a lovely dinner here with family - thoughtful service & authentic dishes to share. Tempted to try the dumplings next time (｡ì _ í｡)
