An Italian class of it's own.
Visited this establishment with another couple friends of ours. They had been here previously and spoke highly of this restaurant.
The staff are very friendly and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. The restaurants theme is an old train station e.g. like St James.
The food is very very delicious. I ordered the Organic Chicken. I was able to smell the dish when it was being served to me by the waiter. The chicken was well cooked and was not dry at all. It was quite juicy and had a lot of flavour.
Definitely one of my now favourite Italian restaurants.
The vibe was intimate and really cosy. Perfect for a cold Wintery night! We had lots of fun and the staff were attentive as well. I ordered a pizza and when requesting to make a change, I was even offered to replace it with some other topping which I found really nice. The pizza was amazing and my friends ordered pastas. I know they loved it too! Good portion sizes. Desserts were yummy too- fried donuts and also the Nutella hot mess were popular for us and they were worth it :)
The gnocchi is great. Pillowy and fluffy with a beautiful passata. The restaurant also has a nice atmosphere if eating out. Arancini is a lovely sneaky indulgence. Many of the other pastas could benefit from more seasoning, and the pizza menu could use a revamp

The pizza, pasta and dessert here is amazing: so that means everythinngggg is deliciousss!!! I love it here. It’s perfectly situated in Camden town, and the fairy lights add that extra touch! Definitely worth the trip!!
We wanted to try something new, went there for my husbands birthday, place was beautiful, food was delicious, great fun for the kids playing with the dough, staff especially Sophie was just amazing have never seen better customer service in any restaurant in Sydney. Cannot fault the place and can't wait to go back.
Yum.Yum.Yum. The food here is so good!! Its a must visit if you love italian food. The food was delish, authentic, and so fresh. It is a little pricey but the food is worth it. The arancini balls 😍😍😍 are little balls of heaven.

Love this place! The rigatoni with pork is one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. Service is also great! This place has become an instant favourite - never a bad experience.
Attended a wedding here, it was beautiful! Staff were great, always smiling and having fun. Food was pretty good. Beautiful set up and atmosphere.
Fantastic Valentines Day lunch, not busy so the service was excellent.
Food was spectacular, salumi Board was very generous and SOOO tasty (maybe a little oily but comes with the territory).
The salami paste pizza - Nduja was amazing, like nothing I've had before.
And lastly, the heirloom tomato/mozzarella salad brought it all together.
Will most definitely return!! Love that we have this so local, I'd drive across the city for food like this!
The courtyard in the evening is a real highlight. Food is classically Italian cooked perfectly. Highly recommended and would definitely be back.
Table service is a big thing for me so I would not recommend for a Friday night.
However the desert made up for everything.
We had the caramelised garlic pizza tapas to start. The pizza was nicely salted and fluffy which I love for a pizza base.
My boyfriend had the osso bucco. Perfectly seasoned and absolutely amazing! The outdoor seating on a winter's night made this dish a standout.
Too bad I couldn't say the same for my Spaghetti marinara. It came out 7 minutes after my partner's main.
They did me the favour of no mussels but still found one in my dish; but that's just me being fussy. It would've been a good meal but unfortunately it was cold. And that's not me being fussy.
But I would definitely be back for the desert!
The hot and cold Nutella mess is a must try. Everything about it was just heaven. The zabaglione, the fondant, the merengue with cannoli cream omg I can't deal!
We came on on Saturday night and it wasn't too busy (probably got to do with the Sydney weather more than anything). This place has a nice warm feel to it and you can almost relate it to a country vibe.
Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating to your requests.
The food is nice and authentic as well as decently sized. We opted for the Rigatoni with pork/veal meat and the 6 hour slow roasted pork. Only gripe was it was lacking abit of flavour and could have abit more "pizazz" to it, but besides that quite nice.
Would come back here but the menu is limited and not quite extensive which is either a good or bad thing.
I have been to all the Italian restaurants in the area and this one is the best hands down. Truly authentic Italian food . Great atmosphere, top notch service and have I mentioned how good the food is. Lol. Highly recommended. Ralph
Such an adorable place, especially for Camden! It has that rusty Italian feel to it. Visited on two occasions for lunch and dinner. On both occasions the service was great, didn't have to wait very long for food.
Had the gnocchi, which was cooked surprisingly well (considering a lot of places get it wrong) and the entrée serving was generous. Would like to see more pasta varieties on the menu though.
Also tried the Nutella donut balls, they were disappointing.. It was more dough then Nutella, well to be honest the Nutella was non-existent.
Great food excellent service! I will be going there again tonight. When made the booking I was told that each Saturday between now and Christmas is fully booked! And I can see why.....
Great night celebrating big 30th birthday bash with 80 people. Delightful venue! Excellent service, food, company. Highly recommend. Keep up the great service!

This place is a gem situated in Camden with a relaxed garden atmosphere. Lovely pizza's and pasta's and sides. The potato gnocchi melts in your mouth and the ragu warms the cockles of your heart.
Desserts were wonderful as well. My only drawback would be that my tiramisu was slightly runny, however the flavours were still great. Definitely returning!
My new fave place. I've eaten here 4 times now and in my opinion this place offers the best service in Camden :) LOVE this place!
We had our Wedding at the Italian food project in November 2020. It was the best day ever, food and drink were in abundance and the hospitality we received was second to none! Anyone looking for a local wedding venue should check out the Italian food project. After 12 months people are still talking about how delicious the food was!

Make sure you book before coming so you aren't disappointed. This place can book out fast. The food is tasty, love the generosity with parmeson cheese. Their tiramisu is one of the best I've had at a italian restaurant, it really has the homemade taste and is a good size. The arancini balls are also a must have!

With the restrictions fully lifted, the restaurant is busy again. It is so good to see.
Food, as always, were delicious and the service is wonderful. They have a great service team out the front and, I'm sure, the kitchen teams are killing it with the food that comes out!
Be aware, though, their takeaway menu is not the same as dining-in. How well food travel will determine how it tastes by the time you get to eat it at home.
TIFP is pretty much the place I go when I want an Italian food fix in Camden. Can't go wrong and I trust the quality.
Love love love this place! Beautiful atmosphere, Generous food servings, you never have to wait long after ordering, always have friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff. My husband and I love coming here. Their Gnocchi is the best I’ve had at an Italian restaurant. Best Restaurant!
Simply amazing all round. I cannot fault a thing. I booked for a group of 20 a few weeks ago and everyone left raving about how great the food was and how the service from staff was the best they've seen. Keep up the good work! Will be back again for sure
Amazing experience. Food was wonderful and staff were regularly checking on us if we needed anything. Highly recommended and will be a returning customer. Many other things on the menu we can't wait to try.
Another wonderful night at the Italian food project. The food is always fantastic, the ambience is perfect, and service is on point. Their pizza is one of the best traditional woodfire pizza and pastas are cooked to perfection, we enjoyed in their beautiful courtyard. Kids meals were also delicious and the kids were given balls of pizza dough to occupy them which they loved! Highly recommended if you are after traditional home made tasting Italian, this place never disappoints.
