Great tasting and presented selections. Buttermilk pancakes are delicious

Hidden at the end of a laneway off the main drag, this cafe is worth seeking out. Great coffee, nice atmosphere and good service. and while I didn't have one, the breakfast burger looked amazing. Parking available in the back street parallel and east of Miller St.

A beautiful little place! Have been here a couple of times one, once for a take away coffee & once for a sit down meal. Venue: cute and small, a fantastic outdoor area for those sunny days. Everything was clean, and hand santizer readily available. Service: attentive, professional and overall lovely. workers all wearing masks, even in the outdoor section. Food/drinks: coffee was great! Especially after I have struggle getting a decent coffee in Sydney. Went again and ordered the Ragu Pasta, and oh my it was delicious !!! Everything about it was perfection! Highly recommend trying if you go to this place. Overall, a great cafe, with super nice staff and great food and coffee. Highly recommend !

Horrible - this place is listed as one of the best gyros places on the north shore but the owners must have changed since then. I ordered a lamb gyros which didn't look anything like a gyros and the meat was so badly off it tasted like fish. They replaced it but got no apology or even a discount for being served rotten food. I can only imagine what Gordon Ramsay would say....

High quality food, fresh and lots of options. Excellent coffee. Very friendly service too.

First time to eat at Laneway cafe and did not disappoint. The staff was great and the food was yummy. Going back again to have some more.

Saturday morning brunch at the Laneway. Smoked salmon benny and cappuccino. Both excellently done! Eggs perfectly poached and the benny temperature was just right such that the smoked salmon didn't get "cooked". Recommended!

Laneway has the best coffee & most delicious food in the area. I recommend the good morning burger, maple and bacon pancakes, and the corn fritters. Their service is always so fast & efficient.

After an initially negative experience went back again to try their pancakes and guess what??! Best. Pancakes. EVER. This place has one of the best stacks you'll ever find in Sydney. Thick, fluffy, golden mounds of perfection with generous helpings of maple syrup, honeycomb butter and you can choose either blueberry or bacon. I of course had the bacon. I've been back twice now and have introduced my friends to this place as well. I also recommend a fried egg on top of your pancakes for that extra something special. Great service, amazing food, and friendly bustling atmosphere 5 stars ( updated from my original review )

Been here for brunch a few times now and never had a bad experience, smashed avo is my personal favorite and pancakes with bacon maple is a must do!

10/10 for the breakfast burger. Everything about this bacon and egg roll was fantastic. Would highly recommend!

This is a small cafe tucked away from the main strip of shops in cammeray. It’s got a decent amount of seating both inside and outside. The staff are generally friendly, although there were a few instances where their attitude was a bit off. The sandwich was quite good where the flavours of the red pesto paired nicely with the roasted veggies. The smashed avo was giant - the amount of avo was so unexpected. While the serving was big, it was quite tasteless.

Delicious coffee, happy staff and a breakfast roll that hit the spot. Really enjoyable little place which is tucked into a quiet lane way. If you’re in Cammeray, get there!

A good local cafe, very popular & busy for weekend brunch. Got the Balsamic roasted mushrooms, which came with prosciutto, hummus, lentils, dukkuh, poached egg & Turkish toast. An interesting mix of elements, loved the fresh prosciutto with the mushrooms. The egg was very oozy. Didn’t mind the hummus, but not a fan of the lentils. The service was ok.

I had the baked veggie eggs which were so extremely hot that I burned the roof of my mouth badly. Unfortunately there wasn’t much flavour to the dish either. My partner had the fried eggs and also said it wasn’t great.

Good coffee, friendly staff. Best part - bring your keep cup and they give you a discount - this owner genuinely cares about our environment :-)

Delicious food, great atmosphere and service! The menu had a great selection of both food and drink. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Had a good breakfast here... good coffees. The shakshuka and burgers were pretty good, however nothing too special. Downside is the price is higher than other cafes offering similar food and drinks.

This place must have a captive audience with limited options because it was bad. Nothing quite sets the scene for your eating experience upon getting dirty cups for water when you sit down. But you can't rate a place like this just on poor hygiene, because the food was good? No. No it was not. Bland, utterly run of the mill. My only positive take away was the service.

Quite a busy little cafe. Despite the crowd, service was excellent and food came fairly quickly. Really nice flavours and fresh ingredients.

An average breakfast, the bacon was overcooked and the avocado 3 days past its used by date. Overpriced for what it was, now I've done it I won't be rushing back.

The Laneway is a big fish in a very non-competitive pond just 6km North of the Bridge (NOTB). Red flag when cafes generate annuity revenues from poached eggs on toast priced and marketed as ‘gourmet‘. The clever NOTB entrepreneur will then slap this on sourdough, leaving clientele speechlessly handing over their wallets. The Laneway is clever enough to fool some, but not all.

A regular breakfast/lunch cafe of mine. Nestled away from the busy traffic on Miller Street under the shady trees. You'll find me here at least once a week, either dining with my boyfriend/friends or setting up camp for a few hours with my laptop and great tasting soy piccolo. Staff are friendly and love a chat.

Breakfast is a favourite of mine at The Laneway, would recommend all dishes.

We recently had lunch ordering the seared tuna salad (my favourite salad in Cammeray) and the sweet potato haloumi fritters.

Very nice place for Sunday breakfast, love both the food and coffee I had there, it's always full of customers, nice and efficient service, didn't have to wait long for my orders. A very happy customer

Good thoughtful service, nice location and good menu variety. Food was decent but nothing to write home about and the cafe is quite noisy. But it was a pleasant morning and a good spot to eat if you're in the area.

Great food, great service.
Went here for brekkie on a public holiday and it was packed. The buttermilk pancakes with bacon and maple was just perfect (though it wasn't presented that well) as well as the eggs with about a million dollars worth of sides - the best of which was the tomato.
Oh and coffee was spot on too. Will definitely be back!

An absolute favourite of ours. We always get the good morning burger and I substitute the tomato for a giant mushroom.

Great coffee and really great staff. Always busy yet never have to wait for a table - one of our regular spots!

It is a busy place although it is kind of tucked away, the coffee was smooth and nice. Reasonably priced, friendly staff, OK food. Perfect for weekend brunch.

Love this place. Food is always generous and delicious. The smashed avo is definitely one of the best I've had in Sydney. Baked eggs are also great. Good coffee too!

One of our friends seems to go to a lot of brunches so we asked them where was good that didn't have a ridiculous hipster/groupie queue. They recommended Laneway Café. Good recommendation.

Everyone needs a good local cafe. Somewhere you can drop in for breakfast or a quick brunch, or linger over a coffee catching up with your mates.

Breakfast Burger. Utterly amazing - hash brown makes it.. And the paprika aioli!
Thezenman77
Great. Friends and I had a great all day breakfast feed here this morning. The cafe was very full but they accommodated us fairly fast. Service was with a smile and the food was terrific. Will definitely return here again.

This is the best place for breakfast and brunch in Cammeray! Great service and awesome food! Thanks Laneway for topping off my weekends :)

Bloody Fantastic!. For anyone who hasn't yet checked out 'Laneway Cafe', do yourself a favour and give it a bash. Excellent, creative and appropriately priced menu, friendly staff who are all complete gun's on the floor, awesome coffee and consistently fast service. I've just recently moved to Crows Nest and this is definitely my new local cafe! 10/10 guys, this is what hospitality is all about.

Delicious breakfast, good coffee but a bit on the expensive side ($21 for a baked breakfast)
