Best bbq ever! Mix plate and seekh kabab with pilaf are all time favourites! Highly recommended!
Came here twice. Had a mixed plate the first time and the eggplant the second. Both were excellent value for money, and the staff were genuinely nice. Tip: add the Afghan bread, it's served warm and is amazing.

My one of the favorite places to try kebab. These aren't the normal kebab which we get in Melbourne.
These are boneless bbq chicken/lamb pieces.
My favorite is the Mix kebab it's juicy & lipsmacking.
Chicken qorma is indeed not recommended I like the Lamb qorma, it is way more better then chicken along with the gigantic tandoori rotis.
Zerishk Palaw is a light rice meal a must try.
Food is fresh and tastes good. Service is always quick and friendly. Really enjoyed the chicken and lamb and the Afghan bread is great value and always taste great. Will definitely come back!!
Good quality food at a great price with friendly service.
We had the mantu, mixed kebab with bread, chicken biryani and lamb shank with rice. All food served was very nice with only a few minor let downs. The mantu was a bit soggy however the flavours of the toppings still ensured it was of great taste. The chicken biryani was also a little dry as if it had been pre-cooked sometime earlier and reheated. Otherwise the food was very good and enjoyable.

Absolutely beautiful food! I love their kebab chicken and the afghan bread, cheap and good amount! Very friendly owner! It's a regular dinning place for my workmates. Good to see people from migrant backgrounds been helped by services in the past and now pay back the community. :)
One if the best food around the corner from where I live. We have been a regular customer for them ever since they open. The owner are super humble and very friendly and you can feel the warmth by just sitting and waiting for your takeaway food. The food is amazingly fresh and tasty and flavourful.
We are regulars here and often have the Shami kebabs and chicken kebabs with rice. I absolutely love the mantu and order it with extra saucy bits. The bread is always hot however you do need to eat it immediately otherwise it goes hard and dry within half an hour.
This place has improved since I last came for lunch. I'm a fan of the chicken Biryani and the mix kebab. Price has gone up a bit after the place became 2 x as big.
Never a fan of kebab but when I walked pass this place, the smell brought me into the store. It looks so busy we waited for long but it's worth waiting.
Ordered the mix kebabs and it was delicious, the 1$ dollar bread freshly baked.
Love this place and definitely recommend to everyone.

Located on a busy shopping strip in Fordgate, Campbellfield alongside a row of take away shops and restaurants most of which are halal, Afghan Kebab can be spotted at the very beginning with its bright red signage and twinkling fairy lights on the double fronted window. They have recently expanded next door so there is plenty of room to dine in (somewhat) comfortably. The ambiance is very much like a take away kebab shop so it doesn't look at all appealing from the outside but once you taste the food, you will remind yourself never to judge a restaurant by its frontage ever again. In fact, the food is so good, you will tell all your friends and come back again soon.
For a meal of $11 you can feed two people depending on how much you eat. As you can see, they are very generous with their rice.Their chicken and meat dishes are all very tender and flavourful, however, the mantu was not quite up to my expectations. Fresh afghan bread the size of a large family pizza is only $1! It's no wonder why the restaurant can get quite busy during lunch/dinner hours, particularly on weekends. The staff are friendly and welcoming, too. So if you are looking to dine out without putting a hole in your wallet in this side of town, this is the place to go.

Went to Barry Road Shopping Strip, Campbellfield late this afternoon to buy Turkish sweets for my kids - they love those honey soaked fried choux pastries..
I'd spent most of the day making my famous lasagna for dinner.. my Calabrian Godmother's very special recipe - yeah it's good... or so everyone tells me - unbelievably good..!
Anyway, I get out there... as soon as I get out of the car, all I can smell is this 'irresistable smokey - delish charcoal grilling freshly marinated meat' scent... hey, I can't walk away from that sort of whiff easily... no.. no way...
I buy the sweets, put them in the car, then go 'chasin that smoke'...
Found it.. a few doors down.. at AFGHAN KEBAB CAMPBELLFIELD..
It's just a very simple little eatery - possibly 8 to 10 tables, with chairs, indoors and a few more, out - it's hot tonight - all the tables inside are full - near the front door, there's a guy at an authentic charcoal grill, turning possibly 20 or 30 large skewers - another guy's at the other end of the shop barbecuing big Afghani breads - two women and a man stand in the centre, behind a half refrigerated, half heated long stainless steel counter - they're flat out taking orders, serving up plates, and containers to go, and making Afghan donars [skewered meats] and shawarmas [shaved meats]...
I placed my order for 4 Chicken and 4 Lamb Donars - $7 each - I was being greedy - couldn't help myself - knowing, though, that if they were huge [which they were] then 4 would go straight into the fridge - for lunches tomorrow..
Well, I got home - cut 2 chicken and 2 lamb in half - put them on plates - I really don't think I'm gonna be able to explain, using words alone, just how good they were....
Here I go:
- a foot by a foot square of warm soft spongey kinda almost elastic barbecued Afghan flat bread
- generously filled with crisp fresh salad greens; sliced red onions, cucumber, tomatoes
- 2 just charcoal grilled longish skewers of perfectly-cooked, succulent, juicy tender lean pre-marinated chicken pieces (4) AND lamb chunks (4)
- the whole lot was seasoned with salt and pepper
- then all drizzled with a home-made olive oil based dressing
- rolled tightly in paper lined alfoil and inserted into a plain white long paper bag
- one end open so the hot steam doesn't engender any sogginess
And there you have one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten....!!!!
PS The lasagna went into the freezer...

Came to this little plaza and had a number of establishments to choose from. Today's choice was Afghan Kebab. I ordered the Palaw Kebab that came with 2 skewers of mince Kebab, onion, garlic, ginger. It also included fragrant and delicious rice topped with carrots and raisins and a side of salad and two sauces. I also ordered an "Afghan bread".
The mince Kebab was tender, juicy, and very flavourful. I would definitely return to order the same dish or try other menu items.
The staff were also very friendly. I spoke to a gentleman at the front counter (not owner) for quite some time. Very nice guy.
If you haven't checked this place out, give it a try.
Today we tried BBQ .. specially the meal Deal for two was amazing and was juicy . Will definitely go back.

Good Afghan charcoal kebab skewers and hot bread. Most of the Afghan resto's don't maintain their quality of food but been going here since last 1 year and the taste is still the same. For me I always have to take away because of their big servings. Some of their customers just come in to get Afghan hot bread for take away.
Good food and economical prices (if purchased directly from the restaurant. UberEats prices are expensive). Food isn't too spicy or oily which is what I like about their bbq. Have tried their mince lamb kebab, and skewed chicken with white rice and garlic bread. Everything was awesome. The mince meat dumplings were just average. Placed an order via UberEats and received one lesser coke. Don't know whose fault it was.
