Review King Kebab House - Campbelltown

M Zahid Alam
It has been a long time since I enjoyed food in a kebab shop. King Kebab is a shop which is value for money. Cleab Kebab shop with clean quality of food. Staff are polite. If you are in area try this shop as a must.

I am actually a regular customer in a sense that every time I visit sydney I go there to make my tummy happy. Today I went there for a quick brunch and I was given a feast. Customer service person was very lovely and amazingly helpful. So, I had a great meal and I couldn’t resist myself from writing a review. Thank you for the great meal and a pleasure experience. The quality of food, the taste is, in my opinion, a great service to the community. I recommend anybody reading this review to go and have a bit at the shop. PS I am voting for local business award.

The consistent patronage is your first Hint.....Cast your eye's over the selections & the quality of fresh food & you will find yourself drawn to the counter ordering a delicious meal. Staff abound with courtesy & genuine smiles, great service & they get your order right every time....with fast service, generous proportions are consistent. Can't give a 5⭐️ because, there is only ONE who is perfect.

Terrible. Completely different prices on their website menu. I ordered the pizza Deal 3 which says $73.90 on their website. Son went to pick them up and it wasn't until he got home and I checked my bank account that they actually charged $89.90! When I called to dispute this, the person I spoke to said that they're 'trying out new prices'. Uh excuse me? I said that you can't do that. Then she tried to say that the website hasn't been updated since 2 years ago. Unbelievable! Complete false advertising and just blatant lies. NEVER going to king kebab house again.

Generous servings, really friendly staff and the place smells great. Only 4 stars as I wasn’t expecting to have raw & massive chunks of onion on my kebab. Other than that, the food was absolutely amazing!

Great food, great customer service @ the serving sizes are the best. I ordered a small snack pack to share with my daughter & we couldn't get through it. Great value for money

At 20 bucks a combo you expect a decent feed. Chips were cold, Kebab was cold, old bloke that works there talks too much and does no work. Used to be good, but going back across the road from now on. Rubbish food.

I asked for sour cream and sweet chilli , got nothing. Do your job properly

Firstly I have to mention that there are two Kebab stores here on Queen Street, Campbelltown. There is Kebab on Queens which was the original Kebab shop that had been there for almost a decade before Kings had opened up. It was my go to and they had great tasting food. However, recently in the past 2 years, ever since King Kebabs has opened up, Kebab on Queens has not only diminished in their quality of food, but also their service. Some of the staff working there give you a very bad inhospitable attitude and vibe. I would never want to go there again. Now let's get started on King Kebab. King Kebab is life. First off, if you have not tried their Signature Halal Snack Packs (HSPs) you are missing out. I had a phase, where it became a daily thing, to a weekly thing, to now almost a monthly thing where I need to have my HSP fix and the only place that can satisfy my urges is King Kebab. Recently, I discovered a hidden gem within the menu. The Gozleme. Omg... As soon as you have the first bite, you will have a mouth-gasm, a sensation where your body produces copious amounts of additional saliva in anticipation of more of that Gozleme Goodness. Since I am giving an honest review, I also have to mention that the service/hospitality is probably a 3.99/5. The main dude however is always great, has a smile on his face, never gives you an attitude. You know who you are brother. King Kebab > Kebab on Queens (for me personally)

Great food we went there was very busy time but we get our order in very short time . Good customer service it’s worth to drive long way to campeltown. I really recommend to taste king kebab if you pass from campeltown.

Best place to eat!! The staff here is extremely friendly and food here is amazing. I ordered a couple of HSPs with my friends and it was done in minutes. The customer service is the best I've ever had as well. Highly recommend this place.

I had my Halal Snack Pack at King Kebab House and I was overwhelmed by the amount of the HSP but underwhelmed by the experience. I get there and receive absolutely no greeting... the staff member who served me was rather cold. Ordering did not go down smoothly and I almost added humus to the HSP(Is that Haram Dingo?). Disappointed by the lack of Middle Eastern beverages as it was all your typical common stuff. They did have Ayran which is a bonus. One of my fave drinks is Flavoured Halal Beer but it was nowhere to be seen. My HSP arrived with the lines of sauce perfectly done and plentiful cheese. Cheese was on top and just at the bottom of meat which makes it melt nicely. The HSP was nice but I did find traces of salad which means they Haram Dingoed me without my choosing. One of the staff members was smoking outside which put a dampener on the experience as it was coming in the shop and around the customers outside. I hope next time the staff choose to smoke across the road away from patrons. I rate it all a 3 stars out of a possible 5. It was my first ever HSP and it did floor me. I think I might only have these during winter as it really warmed my body up and its not something to be had regularly but in moderation.<<< Review posted on HSPAS.

Exceptional quality, especially considering it’s amazing value. Best food I’ve ever tried and would definitely recommend anyone in Sydney to come and give it a try. The experience of eating here is indescribable.

Nice food, good service but a bit pricey. Overall good halal food option.
Adam Jniedi
Worst customer service I've ever received , he made the biggest deal over mixing lamb and beef in a snack pack when there's already a "mixed" option in the menu ?
Kol Bol
Best place to eat and enjoy a great meal without a doubt best snackpacks!!!!!!

Yummy food, big servings and lovely people! Totally recommend it

I’ve been twice to get the halal snack pack. Both times I’ve been, the food and service has been excellent. Keep up the great work!
Nathan Espeon
Good customer service and they do really good snack packs and kebabs can't say much for the other stuff I haven't had it. But just straight up one of the best.
Shahla Rida
Amazing food and service. One of the best HSPs ever

A must when in Campbelltown. Heard so much of this place before but finally got to try it last night. Loved it

Absolute legends. Greatest late night meal experience. Will leave 10 stars if I could

Average place but with great prices. Ordered the mixed kebab combo (with small fries + can drink) for $15 and the kebab size is huuuuuuge!! One of the biggest kebabs I've ever ordered. Nothing stood out about it but it's definitely filling. Regular flow of customers throughout the night so it's quite popular. There's indoor and outdoor seating

I don't have much to fault for this place.
At first glance, the place is like any other kebab joint, however the price is a bit higher than average.

We got a small mixed HSP and a donor kebab wrap. The food came very quickly and we were so surprised by the size!

The SMALL HSP was piled high in the box and the wrap was full of meat. I only manage to eat 1/5 of the box. The meat:chip ratio is high, having said that, their chips were really nice!
The boyfriend loved his wrap and we have left overs of the HSP for 3 meals (we made wraps at home out of the leftovers).
Too bad it's so far from home, but we'll definitely come over here again!

Nothing too special about this place other than the amazingly good kebabs at amazingly low prices. These guys are at the top of they're game and you can absolutely taste it in their food!
Gillydoesfood
Friendly service and they do a pretty good job considering the place is always busy. Food can be a bit heavy but I guess that is the nature of the food they serve. Kebabs and chips are always tasty.

Yesterday I got 2 mixed grill. First time we had food in this place and it was so delicious but I have to say meats were a bit salty. Other than that we loved it 😊

Thoroughly reccomended for anyone with a HSP craving. However, even though it makes me feel sick after I still love eating it though, sometimes.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
When I first started writing about food more than a decade ago, a writer more famous than I, told me that there was no such thing as authentic Australian cuisine. This thought has rumbled around in my head ever since, and on countless occasions I have tried to pinpoint what might be our country’s culinary motif. Most times I find myself gesturing towards dishes that are Australian produce-driven, but cooked with underlying French technique. On the weekend I sat at an outside table at King Kebab House on Campbelltown’s main drag, right underneath a sulphur-crested cockatoo that was casually eating a slice of pizza. Perhaps it was this iconic Australian bird that got me thinking about Australian cuisine as I tucked into my very first Halal Snack Pack ($10/medium). Eschewing the more traditional Styrofoam box, I opted to...

I eat here often and I am never dissapointed. Best HSP. I highly recommend the chilli and garlic sauce on top. Their Tabouli is so tasty and fresh as well.

K I N G ☆ K E B A B ☆ H O U S E

Voted Australia's best Halal Snack Pack! Absolutely delicious.

We also ordered colourful Middle Eastern feast. I love how our sauces looks like Neapolitan ice cream! . ✌ @foodiesguidetosydney

Yep it's pretty good here. The place is very popular with the locals with good street parking access. They do a good job covering the chips with sauce although the chips did get a bit soggy towards the end. I will visit again if I'm in that hood.

Had to see what the hype was about but unfortunately it didn't blow us away. Snack packs were tasty but pretty much on par with other snack packs available elsewhere.

Servings aren't as large if you dine in, but they're still more than enough at a very reasonable price. Staff are quick and there isn't a long wait for food despite the number of people. Loz enjoyed the beef and I had a lovely chicken snack pack. Agree with the rating below re:ratio of chips to meat but I enjoyed having more meat.

Food
Not sure about the super hype about this place, the snack packs really aren't different to the ones in other places, except with pricing and portions. Larger portions are offered for lower prices compared to other places. Taste wise is similar to other places - however maybe the timing of my visit was bad as the meat in my snack pack was a little burnt.
Issac_eatsalot
Known as the No.1 in Campbelltown for a reason - these guys rock a killer HSP. Some might complain about the meat to fries ratio....I mock them. The more meat the merrier 👌
Fipizzaona
For all the hype I wasn't that impressed. It wasn't bad but I was expecting the best snack pack of my life which sadly wasn't the case.. It was super greasy and the meat had a weird texture. Maybe I went on an off day, but I have tasted better... The upside was the portion size. You definitely get what you pay for which is a bonus!

If you don't know, King Kebab is one of the best hsp in Sydney. I have tried their chicken hsp (small) with garlic, sweet chilli and chilli sauce. It is so good, I tell you! The meat is freshly grilled to the point that they are juicy. I love the serving size because it can fill you up with a small. It is also good with sharing with friends. Moreover, the chips are well-cooked and crispy (as how it should be), a perfect complement of the juicy meat. They are not soggy, just make sure you eat them straight away. HSPs are not good when they are cold. So eat them when they're still hot!
>>AMBIANCE: 7 >>FOOD:9 >>SERVICE:8

It may have taken an hour drive but the guys there were kind enough to stay open for us after hours just so we could enjoy an epic halal snack pack!!

I never had cravings for snack packs until trying here. My boyfriend and I went on two separate occasions (as seen in the photos).

First time, my boyfriend ordered a LARGE beef snakpack for himself. It was massive and so cheap too. I got myself a lamb kebab on the plate. Only $15 (plus $1 for cheese) and you get rice, shit load of meat, sauce, salad, $1 for tabouleh and pide bread. Lamb was so tender and still had the fat on it. Loved it but struggled to finish

Very friendly staff, the first time the food did take a while to come but it was busy so it's okay. But probably one of the best kebab places I have tried.

Must get the lamb kebab on the plate if you're a lamb lover!!

The ultimate HSP in town!
Quality meat and ingredients

Best hangover cure!
The staff here are amazing and go above and beyond and this place absolutely smashes your average kebab store by a milestone

Masaa al-Khair my fellow brothers and sisters of HSPAS.

We finally made our pilgrimage down to the famous King Kebab House in Campbeltown.
It all started on a Friday evening with dinner in the Eastern Suburbs of Double Bay and discussion after next lead towards HSP, which then lead us talking about the Mecca King Kebab House in Campbeltown.

We pulled out our phones to bring up the details using the Zomato app, which stated it would be closed at 12am (it was 11pm at this time). After this we brought up Google Maps to see how long it would take to drive there (1 Hour).

We didn’t want to risk our hungers on this important journey, so we decided to call them to ensure we have our Snack Pack secured, they ensured they will stay open until we arrive.
We all then jumped into the car and made our trip there, while our blood was pumping and hunger started to rise we gave them another call at 11:30pm to ensure we are still on our way to our Snacky.

We arrived there at 11:55pm, where there is a small group of people getting their final Snacky before they closed their doors. We apologised that we pushed it so late but they were happy that we made the journey and greeted us with open arms and brotherly wordings.

The best part was that they are required to closed their doors after 12am but they were happy for us to sit inside to enjoy our Snacky while they pack up the store.

Now let's get to the most important part, the ratings

Greeting and farewell:10/10
Greeting was excellent, Brother all the way while allowing us to sit in the store while they had to close up the front roller shutter due to after 12am.
Farewell was even better, a VIP service with opening their electric roller door for us to exist this holy place.

Meat: 10/10
Mix of Doner Beef and Chicken, freshly cut and straight onto the grill, slightly Crispy and tender and arranged in order of chips, cheese, meats and sauces on top in a large pizza box.

Sauce: 10/10
We selected Garlic, Chilli and BBQ sauce and was even asked if we wanted any Tomato sauce, we kindly obliged and said no dingo sauce thank you.

Chips:10/10
Chips straight out of the fryer, perfectly salted to balance out the meat and sauces.

Cheese:10/10
Placed above the chips and under the meat where it blended into a perfect bond.

Container: 10/10
Not a Styrofoam box, but the massive pizza box with perfect artwork did the trick.

Halal:10/10
Neon sign outside the store to ensure you don’t miss the most important part of an HSP.

Price: 10/10
$65 for 4kg of mixed meat, 2kg of chips, and 1kg of cheese.

Overall 10/10
This pilgrimage had been put off for a while due to the distance from my home location, but it's well worth journey and Snacky goodness, I will definatley revisit in the near future

NOTE: That nice looking photo was posted on my Instagram @willxia1, I'm really happy with this group and want to share it with everyone (HSPs sort out all the problems) and thanks for Zomato App for providing the required info on the shops and assisting in making my HSP dreams a reality.Naomi Rheinberger

ALL HAIL KING KEBAB HOUSE! The land of glorious halal snack packs. It's not often you call a kebab house and beg them to stay open just so you can get your HSP fix, we didn't even have to beg the staff at KK, they could sense we were craving something delicious, and that's exactly what they delivered on.

We were ambitious in size, but with a presentation like this, size doesn't matter. It was like a masterpiece landing on the table in front of us as the beef and chicken were mixed within a heavenly pile of chips, cheese and sauce.

West is best when it comes to a HSP.

Alot of people raving about this place for their snack packs and i had high hopes for it but its just like any other snack packs i had and if anything, they couldve put more chips (we ordered the large) to make it worth the $12.

Had a chicken snack pack with cheese, excellant price for the portion given (13dollars). The chicken was juicy and chips nice and crispy. The sauce looked like it was drawn on, very aesthetically pleasing. Definitely recommend

Me and my partner have eaten their heaps of times the service is great friendly you even get a laugh down their the pizza topping in great stays on the pizza and its not as oily as other pizza places around town
Dominic
A GREAT selection of Turkish / Middle Eastern cuisine, centred around doner and chicken kebabs, a variety of salads, as well as chips and burgers.

The "snack pack" is a misnomer - even the medium size could possibly feed 2 people! For about $11, a mountain of chicken and doner meat is piled high on a bed of chips, with the option to add cheese, hoummos, and a variety of other sauces, if you wish. If you're electing to add sauces, it's best to dine in, otherwise your box will get soggy! (*snigger*)

The prices are VERY reasonable, and the service friendly, too... Only a few minutes walk from the eastern side of Campbelltown Station, this place is great for a quick and inexpensive meal...

Been there to have a Chicken Snack Pack. And as expected, it was awesome. Reasonable rates and Excellent taste. What else you want. Would love to go there anytime.
