Review Star Buffet - Campbelltown

Sizzler used to be one of the best restaurants in the area but it has lost it's finesse. Went there for dinner with my wife but there was no dinner roles left and the staffs didn't bother refilling them with enough quantities so that everyone could have one. Also the salad bar wasn't topped up frequently. The price used to be quite reasonable but now it seems overpriced these days for lack of their service. We did enjoy the dessert and steak though. They should seriously think about upgrading their services otherwise they might end up closing the very last sizzler restaurant in Sydney as well.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience here. I was disappointed when the Sizzler near Fairfield closed down but this Sizzler was even better than it (seems bigger?) and the manager here, Michael, is a really great guy. Made the whole experience really fun. Had a nice casual birthday gathering here and want to go back to have more icecream.

Dining experience is nice, salad bar is also really nice. Smash down a variety of exactly what you're craving, wash it down with unlimited drink, and then finish off with desert, all for what $13.95? Place had maybe 30-40 people in it during this visit, not too busy.

Visited Sizzler Campbelltown during their peak Saturday trading, waited in line for about 10-15 minutes. Was offered if we had a preference as to where we would like to sit. Was impressed with the amount of staff working to seat customers, top up salad bar, clean tablets and bring out meals. Staff were clearly busy however were all friendly and smiling. Nice to see the familiar faces from the closed down branch Kogarah too. Salad bar was fresh and topped up. Clean plates and cutlery were always available. We ordered the 200g rump steaks which were cooked perfect. Their famous cheese toast bread was a little lightly cooked, would have liked it cooked a bit more however we received it within 2 minutes of being seated. Our table was immediately cleared of our finished plates. Toilets were clean and maintained. We received a plate of their complimentary mints before we were leaving. We will come back again. Keep Sizzler open in NSW Sizzler!

Perhaps this place is nostalgic for Aussies? That’s the only reason I can think of as to why it would still be operating. It’s downright expensive, more so than some of the gourmet buffets in the city. The cutlery was filthy, the food trays were refilled minimally every 40 minutes or so and some not at all and bizarrely upon arrival we received a slice of warm, limp bread each, “cheese toast!” The waiter exclaimed as he set it down.. But it was neither toasted nor did it have any cheese.......

The food just standard, not bad but also not great. Will we come back again, we'll think about it first.

Still as good as umit was 20 years ago. A bit dear if you don't have a big appetite. Great for hungry teenagers.

Such great service by Aaron and the whole team. Always attending our table with a smile and delivering up everything we desired quick-smart It is going to be a great loss when doors close next month

Last Sunday i went there with my family, the services were bad and food were not good. The quality of the food and services cannot compare with before.

Staff were great and polite. Interior design of the RSL and buffet were nice.

All of the food was either terrible or mediocre; not impressed by any of it especially the mashed potato bake, salmon, crab, sushi, dumplings, mongolian lamb, noodles, chicken, jelly, pancakes, etc. After all of the terrible mains, we thought the dessert would compensate, but it was just as bad.

Not returning and would not recommend to anyone.

We went on a Saturday for a birthday party dinner and there was a fair few of us as it was a celebration. Yes, I have to admit they were busy however customer service should always be a key factor to a great experience. However. Their customer service was very appaulling and disappointing from the front door service to the seating arranging. The "MANAGERS" tone of voice in letting us know that one of the tables didn't belong to us was just so rude. If he had just come and spoken to someone In the group in a professional manner and try not to create a scene it would have been a more professional approach. we can all understand and speak perfect English. Don't get me wrong,Our group is Asian too. Also the food wasn't a good as it use to be, food came our really slow. Therefore I will not be return back to this buffet and will be letting all my family and friends know about our experience!

Not really a wide range of cuisine had the honey chicken was really tough felt like it was sitting there all day .

Decided to get some roast beef wasn’t tasty at all was really dry as well as there roasted veggies :( was actually disappointed ended up just eating plates of nuggets there nuggets was a highlight of my night sad to say.

Variety and seating are the two biggest positives. The asian inspired choices are always good, the baked dinner is sometimes hit and miss with rock hard potatoes. I dont eat seafood, but always a good variety. Some of the dishes covered in sauces look a bit suspect so i avoid those. I do think they could work on the dessert part of the buffet, theres always some weird cakes and little things that look like soap no one eats. Of course they have the bottomless soft drink, soft serve machines and frozen cokes. The tea/ coffee machine produces warm brown water that is labelled coffee so avoid that.

Great place to take the family. Staff are always happy and helpful.
Some food can sometimes be dry or slightly undercooked but good overall.

There were 6 of us in our party, we booked the restaurant , we lined up like at a cafeteria to place our entrée order and was told to come back to order mains couldn't order all at the same time.Entree was passable but the mains were disgusting, no-one couldn't eat the bland or tough food, very poorly presented.Overall it was a very disappointing meal, in fact the worst all of us had ever had before. We went to see a show which was awesome , so something good came from the night. We will not go back to that club ever and would not recommend it to anyone!!

Star buffet review.

Well this was a bit of a suprise but the buffet was great and i hate buffets!

But they had pork char sui and i reckon I ate two plates lol.

The sushi bar thing was pathetic so didnt bother but it was the roasts that were awesome and worth paying 16 bux fir lunch just for that.

Also had steamed chicken in soy which was yum as.

The dim sims were not the greatest steamed but the char sui made my day!!!

This is a very cheap and affordable buffet I must say. However, a must know is that this is mainly focused on asian cuisine. Also, don't expect for a really fancy and good food cause honestly, you get what you pay for. It's good for a family dinner or simple celebrations. They have a large variety of asian cuisine thought, ranging from Chinese, Japanese to Vietnamese food.

>>AMBIANCE: 8 >>FOOD:7 >>SERVICE: N/A

When you eat as many burgers as i do you've gotta accept the good with the bad - and just hope for more then one of the other 😣

When we went for lunch I was keen to see if they did a good local burger - unfortunately it was rather average. The Char Grilled Angus beef burger: beef, bacon, egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, beetroot, pineapple and BBQ sauce plus I added the chicken breast and it came with wedges.

The wedges were good 😂 the beef patty was really average. The chicken was alright! Strongly dislike beetroot, cucumber or pineapple on a burger though. No need for it.

The trio of sliders sounds like it might be more worthwhile.....if I ever make it back.

Went here 2 weeks ago and have to say the crab legs were shit as they had no meat on them and the only over this is they never do enough crackling so alot of ppl can have some the deserts need to be changed to something fun and they need to get fresher rock melon as the pieces i had were yuck

Good for Chinese and filipinos only. I wont rate more than 2 for this place. We went there with couple of buddies for our friends bday. So many dishes to eat but nothing to eat. I ate only ham, roasted duck, salmon on avocado, mushroom soup and deserts. 28 bucks too much for these.

Campbelltown RSL houses a buffet - Star Buffet - which is a very spacious and welcoming dining area. Tommy H, LeeLoo, Kannibal and William went there on a Sunday night. It wasn’t too busy; in fact, it had a very early closing time that night at just before 9pm. . One of the things we were told was that there’s a bottomless (free refill) cup of soft drink (including slushies) for $2.80! Awesome - a great way to complement the meal. But don’t forget to eat lots of food and try lots of dishes. It costs $26.80 for an adult but you get a $2 discount if you’re a club member.
