Review El Jannah - Campbelltown

Fast food style service and atmosphere. The charcoal chicken and chips was delicious and best thing on the menu. Tried the other items including the beef and chicken platter but would not get them again. Was busy/full at 6-8pm on Sunday. Took at least 20mins to get food. The family chicken platter is enough to feed 4 adults.

So unimpressed with El Jannah. I haven't been in a long time and rarely give a low review but today was just not good. Food took forever, which is fair enough as I ordered falafel. They stuffed up my order so food ended up being cold by the time I was home. They still managed to forget things anyway. The fried chicken was dry and almost inedidble. I even had the box open on the 10 minute drive home. I thought it'd be hot and juicy based on how long it took for the order. Their charcoal chicken was also dry and disappointing. There was a large stack waiting to be sold during peak. The falafal which I had a bite of in the car was also dry and bland. Which is a shame cause I recall them being nice once upon a time. Garlic sauce is more creamy than garlicky. The gravy I didn't order but got anyway was okay. Chips were nice while hot but had to be reheated in the airfryer. They definitely needed more trained people during peak time. So disappointed I even went next door to red rooster so I could at least have some fresh hot food.

The baba ganoush sauce was one of the best which went really well with BBQ charcoal chicken . Fair price of $28 per set

If you like your chicken this is the place for you. Converted from the old Pizza Hut into a great little eatery. There is ample parking, rarely any wait and the staff here are incredible, so accomadating. There are little outdoor tables and chairs to eat there or as most do, park in the allocated car spots and take away.

Worst place for dine in. Short of staff. No disposal glass and cutlery. Limited choice of drinks. Even fridges looks empty. 1 out of 10.

Last Thursday myself and friend visited El Jannah Campbell and we ordered Lunch for two, half chicken each with Taboula, and we were very disappointed when we ate the chicken we foynd, the Chicken very salty , we orden 2 Taboulas with Chicken and we ended up paid for products we didn't get. In addition to that, tables are very dirty. so that Punchbowl branch is the best as I have been customer there for last 15 years .

Love their food 😍 😋 I usually get the skewers: lamb, chicken, minced lamb. I tried their chicken... delicious, the garlic sauce was awesome as usual too 😋 😋

One of our favourite Lebanese joints for a feed. With stores across Sydney, sadly not too many are close to our area of Botany. We were in Camden for a catch up with family and took the opportunity to pick some food up from the Campbeltown store. In an old Pizza Hut building, this El Jannah is huge but mainly operating for takeaway at the moment. Primarily known for their charcoal grilled chicken, and Lebanese sides like pickles, garlic sauce and bread, they’ve also got burgers, wraps, shawarma, and even some fried chicken. We order a family pack, where charcoal chicken is the main piece, cut into 8 portions as requested. The charcoal chicken is well seasoned and the chicken is tender. Served with a good amount of fries, garlic sauce, pickles, bread and 4 cans of drink. Additionally we get a sides platter with tabouli, hummus and baba ganoush, as well as a bag of falafel and of some of their fried chicken. At $100 for the lot, it served 8 of us and a baby so that’s really reasonable value. A great food option for an event too.

Please be careful with your take away orders. I Ordered 5 pieces fried chicken and some falafals, only to realise once I reached back home that there were only 3 pieces of chicken in the portion.

Pretty good for the price, portion size was very big. Had the half chicken and large chips, struggled to finish it Chicken was very flavorful but a bit on the dry side. Food came quick and service was good.

Ordered a family meal while here which included A whole chicken, large bowl of chips, tabuli, pita bread & a garlic aioli sauce. The meal was flavourful & there was quite a bit leftover. The tabuli was nice mixed in with the garlic aioli sauce. I did feel after a while the meal started getting a bit too salty so yeah this minor issue kinda ruined the overall impression of the meal as a whole. Restaurant was spacious & staff real attentive. I didn't quite get the price variation from eating in & takeaway. I would revisit again but would definitely order less food.

👅Taste-wise : delicious.
💰Price-wise : reasonable.
🙇🏻Staff treatment : friendly.
🍽Portion size : chicken a bit small.

Went to lunch there today, had the whole chicken meal. Delicious! But the chicken pieces were a bit small. But overall it was a delightful meal.

Chicken soft but lacked flavour

El Jannah serves charcoal chicken and Lebanese cuisine including shawarma, and falafel. Since opening in 1998 as a family run take away shop in Granville, it has expanded to include 4 other stores in Sydney. The Campbelltown store is located on Queen street with ample seating inside.

We ordered at the counter the whole chicken meal and were given a number. It came with a whole cut chicken with large chips and a choice of regular pickles or tabouli (we chose pickles). Food came out pretty quick, 2 bags of soft Lebanese bread were also given with the meal.

The chicken had a crispy skin and soft meat but lacked flavour and parts of the chicken tasted burnt. The pickled vegetables were so salty even when wrapped in some Lebanese bread, chicken and garlic sauce. The highlight of the dish was the garlic sauce as unlike some that I've tasted, isn't overly garlicky. It didn't taste very strong and very moreish when combined as a mini wrap with the chicken and bread. Shame that they don't give you more. The combination of the sauce and pickles gave the chicken flavour.

The chips were nice and crispy and they had yummy chicken salt.

Verdict: The garlic sauce worth a try and should be eaten with the chicken including the sides as the chicken otherwise is tasteless on its own.
Had the falafel wrap and was a big let down the falafel itself tastes frozen and was very dry not what you would call Lebanese food I've eaten falafel at the GT cafe Homebush which is owned by Asians and they make the best falafel really puts el jannah to shame

Great to see a Lebanese restaurant around Campbelltown area. Food is always delicious. Service is quick even when it's busy. And fairly good price. Wish they did drive through that would make it even better.
But I would definately give it 5/5 for food/service/price.

Menu has a lot to choose from. Everything tastes very fresh. Price is great for the portion of food you receive. Overall I am very happy with the service, food and quality.

Very happy with the service. Food came out very quickly and the quality of the chicken was amazing. Definately will be coming back. Also a note, the parking makes it so much easier

It is truely amazing. The pickles, he pita bread, the chips salted to perfection, the chicken is always moist and delicious. I love this place! The only reason I'm not there 24/7 is that it is always packed but that's because everyone knows it's the best.

I love this place! Everytime we go, we get great service and amazing food. The EJ platter is our fave, one of the best places to eat in Campbelltown.

Its always busy, but food doesnt take all that long to come out.

Amazing chicken. Chips were perfectly cooked. Garlic sauce tasted great and the bread was soft which is just how I like it! The customer service was good and everything was clean and on time.

El Janna is quick, easy, and delicious.
The servings are large and you'll always walk out feeling satisfied.

The EJ platter can be shared between 2 people. The meats (lamb, chicken, Sujuk or kufta) are all cooked perfectly. The sauces are amazing. With the EJ platter they serve a generous amount of chips and a bag of Lebanese bread. There is nothing I can fault about the food.

The actual dining experience can be compared to Macdonalds. The lights are harsh, the seatings are hard, the furniture and decor are standard.

I highly recommend the restaurant as their aim is not fine dining but fast food (and they do it very well). They are spot on in providing the food and service to their fast food target market.

This was our second visit to the much hyped El Jannah in Campbelltown. Social media was going off for months prior to their arrival with much of the focus around their garlic sauce (absolutely delicious) & the grilled chicken.

Tonight I ordered the El Jannah platter and a side of falafels. While the meats I had were cooked to perfection, it was let down by the mountain of chips which frankly was unnecessary. The pocket breads with the spiced veges (not sure of the exact name sorry) we're horrible. The meal was definitely not worth the $24.

Any sort of Lebanese cuisine in Campbelltown has been sorely missed up to recently. I hope that it attracts other Lebanese restaurants that offer more traditional options than what are at El Jannah.

Great to see another new restaurant in the area! Newly opened in Campbelltown, we have popped in for takeaway multiple times and tables are always full of families enjoying a feast and atmosphere inside is great for groups big or small.

Takeaway line can get long, but the kitchen is quick to pump out orders. Food doesn't take too long when dining in either. Prices are very reasonable and there's a wide range of menu items on offer beyond the charcoal chicken.

Nice addition to the Campbelltown food scene, don't forget the garlic sauce!

Work very close by to this place. It is amazing. The food is incredible. Sometimes it takes a while to get the food because it is so busy, but yummy. Highly recommend.
