Review San Churro - Campbelltown

The churros were lovely and the Spanish hot chocolate was so rich that we had to take it home and had to chip away at it over a day or two! Also tried Boysenberry ice cream - it was icy and had a bad texture but it tasted good! Will say that they definitely need more staff on for busy periods as the poor staff were run ragged and the gent on the till had to keep leaving to help the others catch up. Expect a bit of a wait if the shop looks busy, but worth the wait if you have a sweet tooth.

It's absolutely sinful that so much goodness can be purchased for only about $20! Despite being understaffed, the service was very friendly and helpful. The food was unbelievably good!

Ordered food tonight, we waited for 40 minutes. Other people who ordered well after us were getting food. We asked a staff member who said she would follow up. She then proceeded to clean tables and take out orders (didn’t speak to anyone). We waited for another 10 minutes before asking again at the counter. We were told that they would sort it out straight away. We waited for another 10 minutes at the counter, all whist they still made new orders. I would assume straight away would mean stop making other orders and prioritise that order. It was a disappointing experience

Coffee wasn't hot, coffee liquid level was too low, tables and floors are really dirty.... Taste was good, furniture and decoration are impressive but needs more attention to clean. Coffee was late. And dark chocolate was cold, it was around 30-40 degree, this heat is not enough to serve, more pay attention please... I couldn't finshed. Maybe they didn't notice. you pay 13 dollars for two. REGULAR dark ! Chocolate !!! It isnt worth it.My friend was totally unsatisfied, Sorry about that. I am embarrassed to him. We came from far.

Terrible service. The only tables free were cluttered and dirty with left over dishes. So I sat outside Nandos, which was closed and the waiter said he wouldn't give me my order. So I stood up to move but he had already walked off so I had to find him to point out that there was no clean place to sit. He rolled his eyes, cleared some dishes but didn't wipe the table! Then he practically threw my already melted order on the table. When I told him to wipe the table he turned his back, waved his hand and said yeah yeah. God knows how that guy has ever managed to get this job, seems they have no standard in who they hire. Paid $14 for one cup of melted desert.

The service was rather slow and the food not all satisfactory. The churros were alright (and massive) with the dipping sauces but rather bland on their own (could use a bit more cinnamon perhaps?). Also, the empanadas and crispy potatoes were extremely small considering the price they were ($7.95 each). They came in two ceramic dishes which were probably only 9cm in diameter. There was probably more tomato chutney in the dishes than potatoes. The order of food coming out was also odd: The savoury ones were the last and the sweets first, the drinks didn't arrive at the same time but far apart. We had to keep calling attention of the waitress to get something which could have been handed to use without asking in the first place (serviettes, small spoons for the Bubaccinos so that the girls could get the marshmallows without making a mess). Overall, it was disappointing considering the price range. The service and quantity of savoury food did not quite live up to expectations. I'd not spend $80 here again.

Went in tonight at 9pm waited in the line and when it was finally our turn they said there was no oil for everyone’s Churros. The front of the store was very dirty. So we didn’t order anything. Came back at 5minutes before the store was meant to close. Walked in and a staff member was sitting opposite the register on his phone didn’t even greet us, I had to greet him. I said can I please just get a piece of cake, he said no we are closed. I said just want one piece don’t even heat it. He said no we are closed and walked off and back on his phone. Even though they were “closed” there was people still eating inside. Horrible horrible customer service tonight. After he refused to serve me the piece of cake, I went to Coco Cubano at 10:15pm they were closed, but were so happy to serve me and offered me a free piece of cake on top of the one I already purchased from them.

How does a cafe that specialises in making churros (it is in the name of the place after all), not plan properly enough to be able to sell the said item on a busy Saturday night! To add insult to injury, it took 30 minutes before we had to remind staff of the latte ordered. Apparently, they forgot, and when the coffee finally arrived it was tepid. At least they offered to remake it. Poor service indeed.

I was not at all impressed with my experience here. Tables were dirty even though there were plenty of staff they could of spared a few seconds on cleaning them. This place can get quite cramped up during busy hours. The food came out relatively fast and the churros were very delicious but I didn't really like the dark hot chocolate I ordered, it didn't taste right at all.

Ordered the strawberry bizcocho and asked for extra custard. Boy did the girl deliver. Best service ever. The peanut butter hot chocolate was amazing too

One of my favourite places to hit up for take away coffee thanks to its chocolate addition and convenient location at the entrance of the mall and amongst the other outdoor dining options. They can take some time during peak coffee and dessert hours but the staff and generally helpful and nice. Ample seating indoors and outdoors with two entrances and chocolate items to purchase. <br/><br/>You can get a little boxed in with the chairs if you have access issues or a pram in which case, try a week day? The churros are nice and indulgent. You have the added bonus of watching them make them fresh through the exterior window.<br/><br/>Would go again.

Extremely disappointed in my experience that I had tonight. Ordered a salted caramel shake, however it came out extremely warm and didnt have ice cream. Also ordered a San Churro Sundae, the cream on top was not quite right, didnt taste like cream. Tasted more like water. The churros on the sundae were cold and stale. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My friend and I came here for coffee and churros. After waiting about 15 minutes and asking the waiter twice where our second hot drink was, we were told the person who took our order "forgot" to punch it in. The waiter gave no suggestion as to fixing this and when we asked to speak with the manager we were informed she was "busy with orders" and would be with us shortly. The manager is yet to come and speak to us. Horrible customer service. I do not see myself returning to this store.
