Review Saam Thai - Campbelltown

I love family owned restaurants, they make you feel at home and you experience amazing traditional food they make. My friend and I had dinner here, I had Thai green curry and my friend had pad Thai. Friendly waiter, engaging with customers making us feel at home. Food was spot on amazing, inside was cozy and homey. Will definitely be going back!

Great place for Thai food. Family owned. Chanced upon this place because another restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. Will surely visit again. The lady at the counter suggested that we go to the Winter Fair nearby... It was a great night... as a result, learnt what serendipity means 😁

Attended here on Sunday night, ordered yellow curry and plain rice, friend ordered Satay King prawn veges, yellow curry was very watery and a smaller than usual size for yellow curry, menu was not easily read as majority was in thai and pictures did not match up to the meal name, the service was not good, we had to ask for water and drinks, they seemed to be a little busy with take out but only one other couple were dining in as we were. I’ll be giving dine in here a miss in the future. 3 out of 5 stars from me .😕

First time. I tasted some bread crust savoury snacks: so delicious. Ordered takeaway for a family member. Service is very friendly, have yet to taste the food. Looking forward to tasting the mango sticky rice desert! I love Thai cuisine

The worst Thai I have had. No flavour and to top it off it had a hair in it. I gave them one star because they gave a refund on the dish that had a hair.

Went for lunch, beef was dry, noodles too oily, never going back. Cheap and great service though.

Can't say a bad thing about this place. The times I've been there I've always been greeted by the owner in her traditional dress and a big welcoming smile. The staff are very hospitable. The food also tastes amazing! Great traditional dishes :). Reminds me of my godmothers cooking (she's Thai). My sister in law who is a Thai native said herself the food is just like home. Going back to how hospitable they are... This one time we went there pretty close to closing time and at that point they didn't have lot of ingredients left, but the owner was very apologetic and offered the chicken skewer and our drinks for free and I thought that was extremely nice of her.

Very Disappointed, Went out for what was supposed to be a nice evening with friends, the entrée was good, but were let down with the mains, The beef & chicken was not cooked properly, and on leaving we were charged extra money. Some staff were nice, others were not.

Had a mid-week meal here and unfortunately didn't enjoy it very much - money bags seemed store bought with a solid meatball like centre (as opposed to fresh mince and crunchy water chestnuts) and Massaman beef was very dry. Luckily the noodles were quite yummy which was the only saving grace. Service was also very friendly.

Wednesday night takeaways saw us ordering beef massaman curry and chicken pad tbai. Service was good and wait time was short (only customers).

Chicken noodles were good. Moorish and cooked well. The beef in the massaman was fall apart soft but still a bit chewy. As if it was dry. Still a lovely flavour base though. Would eat again.

Wonderful food with great service. I am a regular customer.. I have been eating here for years and am very happy and satisfied with the food and the service.. The price of food is awesome me I can't fault the place. For people saying the service and food is not good, you all need to open your eyes and taste buds.. Food is beautiful... Would recommend this place to everyone

Not sure????. Went there once at the beginning of the year. Service was good. Had the soft shell chilli crab, was quite good.
However ordered a laksa there the other day and it was very average and was dearer than any of the other Thai restaurants in the area.

Bland, tasteless food lookalike Thai but NOT Thai. We had take away for mother day and the experience was terrible, disappointing. I called them to let them know but the girl on the phone (who didn't want to pass me the manager) didn't sound too worry about it.
The Thai salad was tasteless, the beef bits were boiled, lack of salad bits, no mint , no lemon/lime juice....and the noodle dishes were lacking seasoning and were also tasteless. overall experience was very disappointing. We wanted to get food from Thai chilli but they were closed .We will never get food from there.
Wish you good luck if you go there!

It used to be good. This place has gone down hill! We got take away, got home to find someone elses sauce in our boiled rice. We thought it was just a mix up and went last week to eat in and witnessed the wait staff returning the uneaten rice from plates to the rice cooker.

When you walk through the door you are immediately greeted with a traditional Thai hello, the decor is modern Thai themed & very clean. Even on a busy night the service, attention to detail and warmth from the staff is amazing. The owner is one of the most customer interactive owners i have ever met. The food is absolutely fresh, clean, authentic and tastes amazing! Price is not cheap but not expensive, i was happy to pay a median price for great food and service.
